Service was better and faster than average for a Jacks. Food was properly prepared and order correct. Lot was clean.

What can I say I like Jack in the box food. As long as I don't get a normal burger there, I am having a good time. Normal burgers there always taste weird.

Everything was good. No line, polite service. Food was good. The only thing was the fries weren't hot, just warm.

Always have a good experience at the Castro Valley Jack in the Box. I've been there countless times thru the years. They always get my order correct.

They were out of sourdough bread and still charged me $0.40 to substitute lesser bread. It was late and I was too tired to agrue. Next time when you're out of bread, and substitution is the only option, don't make the customer pay extra.

Clean, friendly staff. Order is always right. Who doesn't love Jack in the Box?? But please Jack, bring back the Chicken Supreme!

Sometimes at around 6:30am when I'm on the way to work I go here and they're not open. Definitely not the best quality food here, but are better than Burgerking.

I always love their curly fries, and I like the fact that they have diet Dr pepper. That's hard to find in a fast food place. But I was hoping that they would have fish, which they did not. However, they redeemed themselves with their chicken tenders.

It's never really busy when I go here, but they act like any other Jack in the Box. The food is average. The service is average. It's all average. I just like it a little more because it's empty. I will also add I always go late at night, not sure about midday visits.

It's the best fast food chain out there and very hard to find outside of California. They got dinged more than anybody a few decades ago 4 problems with food poisoning and now they are probably more careful than anybody. I've seen tv specials on the subject of food poisoning in the United States and Jack in the Box takes more precautions than just about anybody.

Traveled and didn't eat here... But I used their bathroom, it was clean. Folks inside were enjoying their food. staff looked friendly and attentive, got a double nod.. one for coming in and one for acknowledging the direction of the bathroom. Chill spot for sure, should take my lunch here sometime

This is my neighborhood jack they make it how you like it and get the order right they remember all my extra stuff and gave me free refills. Asked if wanted ketchup. I went inside because the drive through is longer. The workers are nice and friendly kids that know what there doing!! Go inside for speedy fast food service!

They get your orders wrong at night at the drive thru. So check before you leave. And also there is this rude girl with black hair that is working inside. I think she is new. She has black hair heavy set. I wasn't able to get her name.

The food is good if you go and pick it up.Do NOT doordash from j.i.b. because if you do,you will end up with what looks like the equivilent of somebody's leftovers that should have gone in the trash.

The drive-thru was prompt, the food was excellent, and the service was good. My only quibble is that so much of the listed menu had signs on it saying the items were out of stock. As far as the franchise goes, this is one of my favorite locations because of its 24/7 hours of operation and the fact that they don't make me wait elsewhere to get my food when I order at the drive-thru like the Hayward location on Mission Blvd does.

They have no Veggie Burgers. It's only good to hit the Head.No signs saying grass fed burgers.or non GMO products used.

It's what you can expect from a fast food restaurant long lines at drive through. Wait time's of who knows what, is the normal wait? But overall the meals are good.

The lady that took my order was rude from the start, she was obviously in a bad mood. When I got home, I discovered that they forgot to include my 7 Jalapeño Poppers, and in my wife’s Siracha lettuce wrap sandwich they shoved a bunch of curly fries, that got her pretty upset.

If you expect more than a C in life, you gotta go the extra mile, do extra credit, study harder, work more efficiently etc.. Otherwise you're just average. And that's all I've come to expect from any JITBx. And this place in Castro Valley delivered on par. Mediocrity shouldn't be a goal to aspire to, but with this franchise it's their ceiling for which nothing better is possible. I strongly sensed no one I saw wanted to be there, including customers, but somehow we were. We all did our part to make sure nothing great transpired. It was just lunch, before I was going to look at a car at a nearby dealership, hoping to buy. But found no cars anywhere. How does a dealership have no inventory? I think Jack in the Box was really a portal to the Twilight Zone.

Business slow and pretty average for fast food. Staff are nice but seem disconnected from the service they provide. Not often a line, and service ok, Worth a visit if you live here, but would not attract outside visitors.

My food was cold so they remade it but when i got home instead of the croissant sandwich that I had ordered I got some kind of a biscuit type thing instead couldn't taste as good. I hate pay money for Stuff that isn't the way it should be

The cashier was very friendly and helped us get the Jack Munchies Box and the $6 special meal deal, but there were customers ahead of us whose orders were mixed up and one of them was pretty upset. Once we got home, I was supposed to get a Jumbo Jack Junior and received a regular cheeseburger so I wasn't really thrilled with the service either!

Food is ok, convenient that it's 24hr. On multiple occasions have gotten home to find that something was missing from my order. I use the app and pick up in store to minimize wait times.

Cheap food with no flavor they send you coupons to answer questions and there is a phone number to call to get free coupons for food. BUT, when u call the number on ur receipt, NUMBER you call has been DISCONNECTED.so u get very upset and don't buy from them , until they tell you the truth Which I'd prob a ly never.!

Horrible 'Butter Burgers' Mostly lettuce and bun and a slice of swiss cheese you can see through. Fries were so over salted we tossed them. Get it together. Won't be back. Should have dove BK

My Bacon Sour Dough Jack was Soooooo dry. Put some butter milk ranch on it to try to compensate. Woke up with a stomach ache. Sorry JN the B you didn't Rock Ma Sox Off!

For the most part the food is usually consistent, but the customer service I got from the cashier this particular morning wasn't. I was up early and pressed for time to get to work in the Bay Area. I went thru the drive thru and ordered the platter breakfast. After I paid for it and was about to drive off. I noticed I had no butter for my pancakes. I was told they didn't have butter. I had to go across town to McDonalds. It got cold. I ended up not eating it and decided to take it back after work. I talked to the assistant manager. She apologized and refunded my money. She also offered me another meal. I declined. I went to use the restroom and couldn't. I let her know the lady's room needed attention. She was very apologetic.

Update: Usually this location has fairly good customer service, but not today. The woman at the drive-thru window did not say one word to me. Not when she took my money (I always order the same thing, so I already knew the total), gave me my change, gave me my straws or when she gave my my order. Five interactions and not a word. Not. One. Word. They had no iced coffee. Again. I asked when they would have some, and woman just kept saying 'No iced coffee. All out, all out.' So helpful. Worst customer service ever. 04/14/2021 Wanted 4 iced mochas, they only had 1.5. Fine. Ordered a teriyaki bowl, with extra teriyaki on the side. Got a dry teriyaki bowl (NO teriyaki sauce) and 3 packets on the side. Driest teriyaki bowl ever.

Food quality is great. But their customer service is terrible. The guy at the drive thru only gave us half our order and then didn't say for us to pull around and wait. Lucky I looked especially we don't live close by this location.

Terrible service. Waited in drive thru over 7 minutes didn't even get to the microphone. So we decided to walk-in instead since its looked like no one was doing dine-in. The place is a mess. Two orther was infront, still had to wait for another 7 more minutes to get to order. Once we finally get our food. It was wrong. The lady in front of us order was also wrong. Another drive-thru customer came in because he didn't get his drinks. It's 8pm on a Thursday, and there were 3 behind the counter, plus a cook in the kitchen.

Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger: Dry; didn't taste like meat. Fries: luke warm I had used the restroom and should've ckd the bag b4 I left....my bad on this one. Most Jacks I've visited have been on point.

Bad late night custo service!!! Left several items out of my bag with FULL CONFIDENCE & made.me come back at 4:30 am. My wife & I didn't even feel like eating after waiting for the system to work to get a refund!

They game me the WRONG ORDER. How did an order of onion rings turn in to the combo. With curly fries, cheese sticks, and three onion rings. Then my pita was wrong.. Just will never return and want let others go there

Went there to get breakfast and the croissant bread was hard. The fries were stale. Just overall not good quality like they usually have. Disappointed in the food quality.

It’s a real grab bag! I ordered the mini tacos and 3 egg rolls because it has been a week. I request an extra avocado lime sauce and they inform me it will be 24 cents. Totally fine. I got tacos and cheese fries. 2 sweet and sour sauces and one requested sauce. 5 stars for randomness, 0 stars for everything else

I've been going to Wendy's lately and maybe it's the comparison, but eating here was underwhelming. Food had the texture of cardboard and didn't taste all that great. The kids meals did not come with toys and the total came up to more than what I get at Wendy's. The service was also not as good, which leads me to this 2 star review.

My Dad unfortunately is very sick but really likes this meal that I get from this restaurant often. But within the past few days the food is cold or it's not as fresh and I'm coming from Oakland. And there service is usually pretty good but it starting to change 😥

Just ordered a small spicy popcorn chicken and two tacos. The small popcorn chicken carton was barely half way filled!! I’m pretty sure that’s not how it’s served but I should have checked my bags before I left the window. The tacos were cold and soggy. Gonna have to start doing them like McDonald’s; sit at the window and check every item before driving off.

They keep one bathroom with the sign “out of order” forever , there is nothing wrong with the bathroom the staff use it all the time . The soda machine is always broken or need adjusting the drinks come awful

If I could rate less stars I would. Supposedly the dining room is open, but looks they only serve drive-through to vehicles late night. As a non-threatening person, I am so disgusted.

More than once I've gone to this Jack in the box that claims to be open 24 hours and they are closed. Then the person who tells me they're closed is very rude about it. All the lights are on the sign says open and there's someone there but still they say they're closed

They are always closed from 1 am to 6 am. I don’t know what’s up but the same lady that works there always says they’re closed for literally 5 hours. I went there multiple times and multiple attempts they are closed between the hours of 1-6 am. Don’t use mobile ordering or you won’t get a refund at those times.

Came in tonight to the drive-thru ordered buttery Jumbo Jack with Swiss cheese 6 tacos and a chicken sandwich got home no swiss cheese on Jumbo Jack very unhappy

Cashier at the drive through window dropped an empty cup on the floor, she picked it up and put it back on the stack. I told her she shouldn’t have put it back. But she never toss away the cups. I will never going back to this Castro Valley Jack.

Lately they been sucking so hard. I might as well starve. Came here this morning to get breakfast. @5:19am was told they did a server restart. Then I asked what time was that conducted at? The drive thru attendee said that was done at 4am. I know for a fact that it takes 15 minutes for the computers to come back online. The drive thru attendee then said they are short staffed an won't be serving anyone. Then my question is why do have the open sign lit up in your window?? So frustrating... Keep it up Jack n the box. One of these days you will be 1 star.

I ordered the two of the #26 which is supposed to come with sausage, I didn't receive it on both sandwiches. I called them and told them, they wanted me to come back right away when I literally just got home and mind you I live on the opposite side of town. I said it's inconvenient for me to come right now. After that she took my name down and said sorry then hung up. Funny thing is I checked the bag to make sure everything was in there, now I'm assuming I have to check my sandwiches too. This is ridiculous! I shouldn't have to go through such lengths just to make sure they got my order right. All I know is that if I choose to go back the person waiting behind me is gonna have to wait a little extra longer lol

Food, (cheese burgers,, tacos, onion rings) cooked to a burnt crisp. GRRR Called number listed on receipt which is NOT the store # but head office which was closed. Returned food. Refund given no problem. Whats going on at this location

They say they are open 24 hours. I get to the window of the drive thru and employee says they are closed this was at 4 am. I well try again some other day early in the morning and we shall see if they are open.

Ordered the spicy loaded tiny tacos ate them and it hasn't been an hour since eating. And I am having the worst stomach pain in my life now. Trying to call to see if they can do anything about it and no one is answering. I wasn't having any stomach problems until after eating their food. Gonna try to go down and see if they will do anything

Bring back the loaded potato wedges and we will call it a day! And please have a better attitude with customer service...... They were out of iced coffee they said and had a very mean attitude........

Don't bother going after 1 am. I went 4 days in a row between 1 am and 3 am on my lunch break and the women always say come in 45 minutes they are on THEIR break. I try to call beforehand and the number is out of service. I dont know what's going on they are supposed to be a 24 hour location. I will not ever try this location again. Waste of my lunch break driving there. I wish I could give the service negative 10 stars.

Worst service ever. Ordered a sandwich and got a while different burger in the correct package. Employees told me I got the correct item & the ingredients are correct. Didn't think about it. Just denied it right away. They then realized I did get the wrong item. The didn't apologize. They said ok ok we will remake it for you. The new item was still incorrect. Why would a spicy sandwich that is listed on the menu with orange sauce come with white sauce. They said no its correct. They didn't care. They didn't try to correct the mistake. I know I ordered a new item but still come on. Know your menu if you work there. I even described what I ordered and what it had.

I went this morning 2/6 at 7 am. The lady taking orders was extremely rude. She got mad when I came to the window and ordered an extra sandwich. I understand it makes it a little harder but the rudeness wasn't necessary. I didn't even eat the food because she looked and acted like someone that would spit in my food. I will never come back to this jack n the box.

Visit there again last night around 11:50 pm,I work near jack in the box so I just walked into drive thru, that guy declined to take my order said I SHOULD HAVE A CAR ( and there was no car in drive thru after that he declined to take my order) he lazy don't want to work,don't know how to deal,very rude . I request manager please have a look , I know drive thru is for cars but when I reach there, there was no car and I talked with him . I am also sales executive and I know how to deal with costumer and I respect everyone.

THE WORST-CASE OF Jacked up! This place should be shut down. The SNauzeberry's sure didn't taste like SNauseberry's. Tasted of rancid old produce with a hint of some sort of bodily funk. Ordered 4 different meals, all items were made in correctly. Mini pancakes were rock hard by the time I got home to give it to my daughter which is 2 minutes away from jack in the box. Tried calling to place a complaint and nobody would answer the phone. Employees are not nice at this location!

Stop at Jack in the box to grab a spicy chicken sandwich, and a box of tiny tacos. The chicken sandwich seems to have been warmed at least three times That's how dry it was,The gentleman asked me what I like cheese I said yes once I got home I noticed that it was warm more than once because cheese was applied to this twice you can tell it was on both sides of the meat and a piece of the chicken was missing so I had to just throw it in the garbage try to call them but they they don't answer the phone

Most of the time when I come here the service is always good. Tonight the young lady in the drive thru got upset and gave me a small fry instead of the medium I paid for. She was upset because she wanted me to leave out of the drive thru during rush hour to park in the front. Because she didn't want to mess up her speed. There was no one in the drive thru behind me. I felt like the suggestion was totally unnecessary because I was the only one in line and it would have took a long time to leave the driveway and get back to the front of the store. Anyway I guess since I didn't follow her command she had an attitude. When she gave me my food I said "Thank you". She looked at me rolled her eyes and closed the window. Having an attitude on top of cheating me out of food I paid for is totally unacceptable

I came to this location and ordered a breakfast jack, kids meal nuggets with water, and was never given my bottled water that I payed for, i had to go back Through the Drive through to get my water and staff rolled her eyes at me, I went back today to order inside, I was not greeted nor were the other customers that were in line, staff working shift between the hours of 5:00 p.m and 6:00 p.m were rude, they simply looked at us and didn't say anything and kept doing what they were doing!! I was upset and ended up going through the drive through...Not to seem rude but Jack needs nicer staff the staff at this location do not make customers feel welcomed

Went there recently, sunday. got the wrong order not even partially, totally, instead of a sourdough jack got a chicken sandwich of some type, seemed cold so figured it was a left order and they decided to throw it in my bag, bag had my receipt order by the way which is why I just grabbed the bag since it had my name receipt and was kinda in a hurry, and instead of 2 tacos I got a curly fries, guess medium size, also almost cold, got home and ready to rest and eat after a long day at work, I just decided to not get angry that night and threw the whole thing away, didn't really have the energy to return the order drive back there and back, 15, 20 min, one of the things that'll make me think twice about getting food from there again

Every time I have gone to this Jack in the box,it is filled with completely rude employee's and they don't get my order correct. I have had to go back multiple times to get my order correctly for them to argue with me that they gave me the correct order. Their phone is out of service to where you can't talk to a manager and when asking in person no one is ever there. This is my home town and I won't ever go back to it again.

Spicy chicken sandwich combo... Chicken wasn't spicy, doesn't fit the bun, dry and fries were stale. The window guy was rude and seemed like he couldn't be bothered to do his job. This used to be the go to Jack in the Box, the last 3 times it was terrible. Officially done with this Jack in the Box.
