I went with my family for the day, and we had a fantastic meal (we had booked in advance). The roast was delicious, and for a starter, we had Castilian soup, which was very welcome given the cold weather. To top it all off, we had homemade dessert. The service, atmosphere, and price were excellent. We'll definitely be back.
Visiting this family-run restaurant was a wonderful experience from the very first moment. The atmosphere is welcoming, perfect for sharing with family, with a simple yet tasteful decor that makes you feel right at home. The staff is attentive, friendly, and always willing to help, which adds a special touch to the experience. The food is, without a doubt, the highlight: dishes prepared with fresh ingredients, generous portions, and flavors reminiscent of traditional home cooking. Each dish arrives perfectly presented and with exceptional flavor. I especially recommend the traditional dishes, which are made with love and dedication. The value for money is excellent, and it's appreciated that it's an affordable place without sacrificing quality. Ideal for going with family, with children, or simply to enjoy a comforting meal. A place I will definitely return to. Highly recommended!
Group of 23 people. Excellent organization by Jesús from day one. (Very kind and professional). He took care of every detail and request (if someone was gluten-free, highchairs were needed, seating everyone at one table, adding a small gift to each guest's plate, etc.). The food was excellent, a set menu, everything arrived on time, delicious and high-quality, homemade desserts. I'm writing this review because we are truly delighted with the attention and service. The waiters were also very friendly and efficient. We will be back.
I loved it. The roasts were delicious, maybe a bit salty, but I always eat bland food, but nothing more. The salads were delicious. The staff was very friendly. They even bought us shots, and the place wasn't noisy, plus it was easy to park in a designated area in front for guests. We went with a group of friends for lunch. I would definitely go back if we returned to Cogolludo.
We were pleasantly surprised by the place, the food, and the staff. My husband, my 12-year-old son, and I ate three set meals at a very good price: €14. Upon entering and seeing the price, we thought it was a bit high, but... Everything was delicious: the lean meat with tomato sauce and the pork cheeks with fresh fries were spectacular, and they had several homemade desserts. The rice pudding was delicious. Even the bread is high quality. It was 100% worth it. There are few places like this. We were served by Jesús, the owner, who was super friendly and down-to-earth; you can tell he's a good person. Anyway, it's a shame that good restaurants like this aren't common, and that it's 60 km away from us, because we'd love to go there more often and try more things. It was a pleasure to discover this place. We'll definitely be back.
We visited the place today. The atmosphere is wonderful, very family-friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious! It's best to make a reservation, especially if you want to order the kid goat, which I highly recommend—it was spectacular! The cuttlefish was also excellent, as was the perfectly cooked entrecote, and the desserts, all homemade. After lunch, I recommend a stroll through the village to aid digestion and end a wonderful afternoon. Motorcyclists, be aware that there are many curves on the route! Have a great ride! ✌️
Saboya was already a must-stop when passing through Cogolludo, but now even more so after trying their roast kid today—spectacular! We arrived at 4:25 pm and were served with great courtesy and professionalism. Attentive staff, delicious food, and very reasonable prices given the quality of the product and service. We didn't take pictures of the desserts, but the homemade truffles and the tres leches cake were amazing... We'll definitely be back. Thanks, boss! The people of Macael are always top-notch! 👏🏻👏🏻
This restaurant is known for its roasted goat. I'll return another day to try it. The Castilian soup was incredible, with a mild flavor and plenty of seasoning. The cachopo (a type of cachopo) had crispy breading and wasn't too thick, making it easy to eat. The ahi (a type of ahi) was toasted and crispy. For dessert, we ordered the torrija (French toast) with vanilla ice cream, which was very good. We had a very quiet dinner in the dining room, as the bar area was quite full and noisy.

Average to poor. The wait staff are attentive and know their job. The food is something else. We ordered appetizers: mixed potatoes, which are potatoes with ketchup and mayonnaise. Squid, nothing more. And a ham sandwich, also nothing more. I don't know if they just put effort into the food in the dining room, because we certainly ate rather poorly. It's hard to make the mixed potatoes badly, considering that, without much effort, Makro sells industrial sauces that imitate brava and aioli, well, at Makro and on Jadraque Day too, which are just fine for a tough meal like this. It's very difficult, because they've managed it. This review is meant to be educational; with a little love, just a little, you can make magnificent portions without needing potatoes with ketchup and mayonnaise. Now, if what you want is for people to spend their money in the dining room and not on portions, then I'm not going to go there.
02/10/2024 Disappointed is the best expression to define a change of many years visiting this restaurant. Thanks to the raw material it's used, I do not lower the rate to 1 star. Bad service, the main dish dry and after paying 300 euros the detail of the house is dropper and miserable guarantees that I will never return to this place that I visited for 30 years Eating outside is to find an experience. In this restaurant Ángel make you touch those senses. Great food. Better attention and the experience is great.
