I love this quick and delicious hibachi style spot in the food court.
Love how they cook the food right in front of you. Masters of Grill 🙌

Workers are so nice and always remember my order i go every time I go to the mall! The food always is on point and definitely worth the price 100% recommend.
Absolutely love the chicken teriyaki with veggies, i had also tried their gyoza it was yummy crispy and soft :3 my favorite place to eat every time i go to the mall .
This place is great not only do they make the stuff in front of you. It's fresh and the fried gyoza is the BEST I HAVE EVER HAD AND ITS SO FLUFFY AND CRISPY
Friendly staff, food cooked on hot grill in front of us, bit of a wait time but it's because they cook the meat properly and it's popular, crisp soda, yummy flavors in the meat that beats competitors. Great experience every time!
Food is great, probably one of the best things I've tasted in a while after moving to Troy. Been urging to eat something more flavorful and this restaurant definitely satisfied that, the price is just right and the employees are amazing.
Place was amazing! I’ve been going since the beginning of the pandemic. My food has been delicious every single time, i love the the quick service cashiers are very kind. I never had a complaint. Whoever disagrees probably only seasons their food with salt & black pepper. I WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THIS RESTAURANT
Their food is average if not slightly above average as far as fast hibachi food goes. What keeps me coming back is the wonderful employees and service. They kept apologizing profusely for my meal being a little late and I could see all of them struggling to make it asap. Keep up the good work guys and keep making excellent food!
Pretty good for a mall food court. Basic selection of rice, meat and mixed vegetables but meat was cooked to order. Portions were ample.

Hey there, fellow foodies! 👋 Welcome back to SimplyZakkai! Today, we're diving into the heart of the mall to check out some amazing Japanese flavors. Join me as we feast on the fresh, sizzling hibachi-style food at Nori Japan, located right here in the Colonie Center food court in Colonie, NY! This is the official start of our new segment: “Mall Munchies.” The first thing I want to point out is the experience: when a takeout place cooks the food right in front of you, the whole vibe changes! That sizzling show will always attract me. As for the service, it's about as good as it gets for a food court bite. The staff was respectful, the process was quick, and their instructions were very clear—a solid, smooth experience all around. The atmosphere here is a step above your normal food court takeout, and it all comes down to the live cooking. Now, let's talk about the food! I started with the Fried Shumai, which are basically small, deep-fried dumplings. They were absolutely delicious! A perfect crispy start. For the main event, I had to get a classic: Beef & Broccoli over Rice. The beef was the star of the show; it was freshly cooked, super tender, and delicious! The only slight stumble was the rice, which tasted a tad bit stale. Overall, the food was really good! Have to leave the place at a 7/10! Food:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Atmosphere:⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall rating: 4 🌟’s You definitely have to check this place out! Don’t forget to follow, comment, and like so you don't miss the next Mall Munchies review. And remember: “Where every bite tells the story!”

Delicious most of the time, but if you get stuck with a few people behind you, it'll get overcooked like mine did today.
When Nori Japan first opened they were outstanding. Super attentive staff. Quality chicken without grizzle. Every order was fresh. A few years ago there was a drastic change in everything from the employees to the taste and quality of food. Not sure if it was a change in ownership or poor business decisions, but all around a loss of quality. Used to go all the time, now my visits are infrequent and never impressive.
They asked me if I wanted white rice or fried rice with my chicken & shrimp teriyaki. I said fried rice. Then they gave me yellow rice. Not the same thing at all. And the yellow rice was a little stale. I suppose that's partially my fault for not looking at the food prior to ordering. Even so, advertising one type of food and serving the other is kind of a no-no in the food industry. At least the chicken and shrimp tasted good enough, hence the 3 stars.

I work in Colonie Center, at the Macy's, and most days I pick Nori Japan cause of the quicker service and friendly staff working there. However today one of the workers at Stir Fry 88, the Chinese place nextdoor to it, was working as cashier for the place. She was beyond rude and made me feel a bit uncomfortable to even place my order. Even hard staring at my work badge or something off in the distance. Slamming my water bottle down onto the counter and the container of white rice. The guy working the stove even seemed uncomfortable with her around. Normally the other lady that is normally working at Nori Japan has a warmer personality that feels inviting. While making sure everyone is taken care of no matter the attitude or mood she's in. Whoever owns both Stir Fry 88 and Nori Japan needs to remove the person who was working behind the counter today. As she is very disrespectful and almost seems like she doesn't want to work at either Nori Japan or Stir Fry 88.
Shrimp was mushy and food was too salty..had to discard ..the worse I’ve had. Won’t go back here again. Waste of money.

Absolutely repulsive!!! The sample will desive you... the rice tastes like a public pool, the soy sauce has no flavor at all it’s just brown water, and the chicken has a awful texture. I wouldn’t listen to the other reviews... I was told they pay for those... eat at your own risk!!!
Attitude problem and basically stealing money by not giving amount of food ordered. Bought food here for a long time. Don’t understand why they’re being rude. Hope it changes but they have lost a customer forever. If you read this Nori Japan people I am ashamed and disappointed in you. Do better. If your feelings are hurt don’t take it out on customers. Language barrier is no excuse either.
Skip the line and don't order, shares a kitchen with the bad Chinese place next door, bad American Chinese food that are made in batches elsewhere and reheated then left under warming laps, misleasing and disgusting is what it is considering it's name
The quality of the food is not the same. The shrimp has no flavor and my have they gotten smaller.. the spring roll was nothing short of the little tiny ones sold at the dollar tree..definitely not worth 15.00 more like 8.00. A waste of money. One should not have to go to a mall restaurant for good food! The food court use to have have good quality food. Sadly after years of choosing this establishment over all others in the food court, I will no longer.

Garbage food and rude. Man cooking my food was scratching the back of his head with his gloved hand and then touching my food. Disgusting.
