When I think of Texas BBQ, this is what I picture! A locally owned restaurant that cares more about the food than the decorations! You can taste the love in the slow cooked meat and hand made sides, and desserts! You can also get some great stories from the owner or some older gentleman who conquered the west with John Wayne! Taste great. Don’t let me forget about the catfish..Oooooweee! Don’t get me started! I would take all my friends and family! And surprisingly affordable!

I always live go here..the BBQ meats are tender, live the natural wood smoke flavor...It's not overwhelming...the desserts are so so good... Especially the Strawberry shortcake and banana pudding..Yum Yum....the owner and customer service is nice and they take pride in fixing your foods like you ask them.

Good bbq, usually a long line around lunch so allow 5-10 minutes for that.

Got there 20 before close I think they were ready to clean up and leave not quite the service or quality However it very tasty

The beef here was tender and perfect! The staff were also very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately the bbq sauce and beans weren't gluten-free so couldn't try them. The staff were very helpful in trying to find a lunch combo that worked for me. Even though I couldn't have the bbq sauce, I'd go back for the beef.

Average at best! BBQ is expensive, one plate $18 & change for ribs, tator-salad, and coleslaw!

Very friendly service! Food was hot and served quickly.. The food would have been great had it been fresh.. we got there early, the chopped beef tasted like the day before, but the sliced beef seemed fresh and it was very tender but barely had a smoked taste. The fried catfish was ok, although it had a slight burn taste, the oil in the fryer clearly needs to be changed more often especially for the price they are asking for.. as for the sides, I had baked beans (too sweet for my taste) and potato salad ( mustard heavy). I wouldn't recommend the shrimp meal, tastes like frozen shrimp but priced like fresh, lol.. Also, the restaurant could use a deep cleaning.. Overall it was ok, if I ever went back I would only order catfish if the grease is clean lol..

I ordered the fish and barbecue the barbecue I got was pulled pork which had no flavor and was dry as hell had to smother it with sauce to get any kind of moisture on it the sauce they advertised as spicy but there was no heat to it at all the sides I got with it were fried pickles and tater tots tater tots were okay fried pickles not so much they tasted like there was a burntness to the batter and then they were served in a takeout thing that had a pool of grease in the bottom ruining most of them the best thing about that meal was the fried catfish that was awesome yet there was no tartar sauce to be served with it which I found odd any true southerner knows you get catfish fried it should come with tartar sauce

I got the 2 meat with ribs and jalapeños cheddar sausage. And unfortunately for them I know how to smoke top notch bbq. This is not bbq. Pork ribs... no smoke flavor... chewy and watery... the sausage looked and tasted like it had been boiled. It was pale and tasteless. There is a reason I picked these 2 proteins as they are the easiest to fix and make taste great with minimal effort. If you fail at ribs and sausage... not good. Plus it was not hot ... it was warm at best. I ate it but am on food positioning alert... overall ... terrible. They have gimmicks like brisket nachos or brisket frito pie... but those r just masking the no smoke flavor. Sorry I will not be back. Watered down boiled BBQ is not very tasty. Not to mention the baked beans are straight out the can bush beans... nothing original. I know this review is brutal but maybe it will inspire yall to care again... bc right now yall.dont care ur just going through the motions. Which really hurts someone like me on a budget... I cant splurge often... and when I do I want it to be good. Thanks but no thanks.

Potatoe salad was sweet taste like store bought, everything taste like it came from a can like baked beans and regular beans were very spicy. I had never seen red pink sausage except pickled. Didn't taste like sausage taste like a hot dog.

Bought a pound of sliced brisket. Half of the order was the dry ends of the brisket. Very tough and very dry. Instead of trimming it after cooking it. Every other place i've gone to trims off the ends and uses them for their chopped beef. Half of it was delicious, juicy cooked, perfect. But I spent $25 for a pound, not 1/2 a pound. Brett I lowered the rating to one star. Because I have left 2 messages for Brett to get him to follow through on his offer to me. I never gotta call back.
