We were just driving through and we made an excellent choice stopping at Jean's Feedbarn. Service was wonderful and everyone in the place - customers and staff alike were friendly. The food was fantastic and quickly served. Everything was *chefs kiss. Absolutely recommend.
Only enjoyed breakfast here. Everything I’ve had, eggs, bacon, pancakes, French toast… all excellent home style fair. GO EARLY, they often run out of their famous biscuits!

Had small hamburger with fries, the hamburger was seasoned and cooked perfectly. It was the best burger I have had in a long time. Service was quick and done with a smile. Friends had the chicken fried steak, said it was great to. Overall great experience.
Sept. 28 2023. Granbury Car Club stopped and had lunch before we went to Woody's Car & Baseball Museum. We've been to several places on our day trips and Jeans is over all the best in everything. everyone was very happy. Thank you soo much.

Small town restaurant, with delicious homemade dishes catering to people from all walks of life. While the physical establishment leaves a little to be desired, you won’t be sorry visiting this homey spot for delicious food!
Wonderful food and great service! Feels like you stepped back in time a little bit…you get to hear the sizzle of the food cooking and smell it coming from the kitchen to your table with a smile! Free refills on your drinks as you wait for your food. My only complaint is I came back a week later at 1:00 on a Tuesday and they were closed 🤷🏼♀️.
A great place for breakfast and plate lunches. Very good home style cooking with reasonable prices. A must stop for eating in Cross Plains Texas.
I really wanted to like this place... The dining room was great, small town cafe feeling, and the food was really good. The service however was really kind of unfriendly. I am obviously not from this town of population 899, and I guess they knew it. The waitress seemed to be about 16 years old and after bringing our drinks she went and sat down with a few other teenagers two tables from us. They laughed and talked loudly the entire time we waited on our food - it just felt awkward and I wanted to leave. There is another restaurant in town that is much friendlier, professional and I'm going there next time

Chicken fried steak was terrible...best thing about the meal was the toasted bread.
My patty melt was great! My wife ordered the fried pickles...they looked fantastic but they had a taste like old fryer oil so they didn't pass for us.
Ordered Chicken Fried Steak and was given option of baked tater or fries so I picked tater(pictured mashed with "Down Home Country Cooking" advertised... I have never seen an unbreaded CFS and it was greasy ... small baked tater ... service was ok but not real friendly $15.97 with tea .. just passing thru town...prolly would skip this next time passing thru town
