Everything was great, food was amazing! There were 2 guys though that were acting strange like they wanted to fight my husband and brother for no reason at all. We were all minding our business and they were being silly for no reason. Grown men a acting out lol other that that, it was amazing!
An East Dallas institution! E Bar always delivers excellent food and drinks with a solid neighborhood crowd. The fajitas and specialties are great. Portions size, quality, and price are very reasonable, and we even order to go with designated pickup spots in the back.
I was here last week with family after an evening event, and I have to say that I love both the more famous “eBar” (if you know, then you know) and this E Bar. Finding a seat wasn’t difficult, and the waitresses and staff treated us well. I decided to try the Southwest Salad with pieces of fajita steak, and it was delightful. I’m surprised I finished the whole dish with how scrumptious the chips and salsa were, too. I’d happily come back for how many appealing dishes there are, not to mention I love the area, and I’d happily recommend E Bar to anyone after Tex-Mex in Old East Dallas/Lower Greenville.
I live really close, do not go often, maybe once every 2 to 3 months,my wife and me,sometimes I take other family, friends. When I think about restaurants, EBar, Always comes to mind, the food has always been really good, service is exceptional, Never have to ask for anything, they are on it,for the price, you will not beat Ebar. Never had a bad experience, and staff is Friendly, kind, helpful. I know Matt, manager over there,he is really nice guy,but they all are.My only complaint about the place is we have gone there alot of times to eat, and it's a waiting list, line to get in. I understand thou,it's a great place, People love it, I say if you go to a restaurant, and there are no people, customers,it's a telling sign...it might not be good, A packed place like Ebar, well all those people show it's Excellent If you never been there, your missing on Very rare, good food, great customer service, Also the plates are big portion, very clean, And you will not beat prices
Looking for a place in Dallas for great Tex-Mex food this is your place. This is a small Place but it didn’t disappoint from start to finish. Sydney was our server and she was wonderful. I’m a sucker for frozen margaritas and this place had a great frozen and also made on the rocks with great consistency. We ordered the spinach queso followed by the fajita street tacos and the chicken Flautas, both dishes were prepared excellent. I have eaten at a lot of Tex-Mex and often disappointed but this place definitely won my vote. I would recommend to all friends to give this place a try.
Been here a few times when I come in from out of town. Always a great time and great food. The service is always impeccable, I have never had to wait for anything. The food always tastes and looks fresh. The only knock I would give this place is that it can get very loud at times, because of the acoustics. It really does not bother me too much. Just have to speak louder than normal sometimes.. All in all I def recommend this place
This little Tex-Mex restaurant packed a big punch. It was delicious everything from the chips and salsa to the fajitas. Enchiladas beans and rice was excellent. We did have a little bit of a wait, but it was the weekend and at peak time so not to be unexpected. we were able to sit outside in the area with chairs and drink a beer and people watch. We were seated the enclosed patio are which had great air-conditioning and our waitress was Mia . She was a delightful young lady that has an attention for detail and anticipates your needs. She was knowledgeable about the menu and the drink menu. We will definitely be back And have told our friends about this great little gem of a restaurant.
Came here on cinco de mayo for lunch. Our server was so inviting and sweet, she was also super attentive (wish I knew her name). I order the steak fajitas and elote Mexican corn. Baby, everything was a 10/10. I love that this place is such a hidden gem and ducked off. I love supporting small businesses and this place is amazing. I will be coming back, regularly. Oh yeah, the queso was amazing as well! It was even better as leftovers the next day! Highly recommend 🫶🏽
E Bar Tex-Mex is one of my favorite places to eat. I love their chips and salsa and their Tortilla soup is delicious. I got the Tortilla soup and salad. The salad that came with it is more like a Mexican salad, but I am picky with my salad and I cut all of that off. My husband had chicken enchiladas with sour cream and he said it was very good. If you like margaritas, they have the best. All the staff were real nice and our waitress was very nice and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Nice casual spot for brunch or lunch. The breakfast burrito was tasty! Would recommend for families and larger groups. Also has two bars with plenty of bar seating if that’s more your speed. The menu has lots of good options for kids or if you group can’t decide between lunch or breakfast.
E Bar is a great restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere. The staff is always so kind and attractive. Food options are great and the quantity and quantity of food is always spot on. Their drinks are reasonably priced for Dallas. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys great Tex-Mex food in the area.

Recommend the E Bar queso! I ordered the enchiladas which were good, but I thought the chili con carne would be cheesy but it's not. U should ask for both queso and chili if that's what u want! They had a wait but it's easy to grab a drink and sit in a waiting area outside. Our waitress was very efficient and nice.
We tried E-bar for the first time recently and thought it was a solid tex-mex option in Dallas. Of note, this was a takeout order. We got the chips and queso, beef fajitas, and a cheese enchilada. The queso was a white queso which was delicious and also came with a great red salsa. The fajitas were good, but I have had better beef fajitas and usually like having the bone marrow butter with it. The cheese enchilada was also very delicious and I would order that again. Overall, this was a solid spot and I would be excited to go eat there in person next time and try more items on the menu.
Service was very quick and friendly. Several large screen tvs so great place to watch four games at once if you want. The salsa was delicious. The brisket and carnita tacos were stuffed and delicious, not the absolute best I have ever had but close. The Cob Salad was packed as well including jumbo shrimp, chicken, and bacon. Spent about $40 on two entrees. Money well spent. Will definitely be returning!
One of the better hole-in-the-wall Tex-Mex spots I’ve been to. I thoroughly enjoyed the food & experience here! My wife took me here for Father’s Day, and while the outside of the building may not be as inviting, you’re missing a true treat if you don’t go inside. This spot is perhaps better suited for lunch dates, a bar stop on the way home, or a cozy date for you & the misses in the evening. Although there was “families” here during my visit, the space of the restaurant appears more suited for smaller & intimate parties. The workers were very inviting and warm in their service. Food was delicious!! I had the grilled tacos & they were the absolute BOMB!💣 Drinks were solid & refreshing as well! My only complaint is the space of the venue. When it’s packed, it’s packed. But in the end, you work with what you have & boy, E-Bar does just that! I highly recommend!
Pulled up to E Bar on a Thursday night around 8:30 PM and while they've got a small parking lot, they only had one spot left and I'd imagine it's pretty challenging to park on a weekend. I'm not a …

What's the big deal? Was not impressed. Just another joint out of many. Nice atmosphere but food nothing special.
We enjoyed the food and generous portions, reasonably priced. It is a popular, casual and busy place even during the week, quite noisy at times.
Friday night. We have Tex-Mex at least 1-2x per week at places all across Dallas. At E Bar, three major hassles outweighed the food. Hassle one: parking. There's really no parking on the street …
I was expecting some amazing Tex Mex from all the people recommending this place to me but alas I was quite disappointed. Checked in and was told the wait was around 45 minutes. Waited around an hour and when I checked they said there were still people in front of me but said I can eat at the bar. The restaurant itself was insanely loud and I couldn't even hear my wife talking even sitting right next to her. Service was slow because the bartender was also the server, so I don't blame him since the bar was constantly packed full of people. Perhaps the worst part was the food was just okay and tasted rather bland. I got the enchiladas and my wife got the fajita tacos. For the crowd outside I thought it would be better but I'd recommend checking out other options in the area for Mexican / Tex Mex food.

I read where if you smell of marijuana you are not welcomed in this establishment. But I guess if you reek of alcohol, you’re a pill popper you’re welcome anytime
My boyfriend and I have been coming to this bar for years. It’s always been a place where we felt comfortable, and the bartenders have consistently treated us with warmth and respect. Many of them know us by name, and over time we genuinely felt like part of the community there. That’s why what happened on our most recent visit was so shocking. It was the end of the night, the bar was nearly empty, and we were simply sitting together finishing our drinks. I was rubbing my boyfriend’s back—something small, affectionate, and entirely normal for any couple. We weren’t being loud, disruptive, or inappropriate in any way. Out of nowhere, the general manager “Matt” approached us in an aggressive and confrontational manner. He (“GM Matt”) accused me of “groping” my boyfriend, a claim that was not only untrue but completely disconnected from what was actually happening. Before we could even process what he was saying, he demanded that we leave. The situation escalated when the general manager put his hands on my boyfriend while forcing us out. There was no justification for physical contact of any kind. The hostility and intensity of his behavior felt targeted, and the entire interaction left us shaken and humiliated. What made the situation even more painful was the reaction from the bartenders—people who have always treated us kindly. Several of them expressed that they disagreed with how we were treated, but because the person responsible was the general manager, they felt powerless to intervene. Their support meant a lot, but it also underscored how wrong the situation was. From our perspective, the way we were singled out felt discriminatory. We were treated differently for showing the same harmless affection any other couple would show without issue. The experience left us feeling unsafe, unwelcome, and judged for who we are rather than anything we did. No customer should ever be physically handled by management, and no couple should be targeted for expressing normal affection. For LGBTQ+ patrons seeking a safe environment, this is not a place I can recommend. What happened to us was unacceptable, and people deserve to know how the general manager chose to treat long‑time loyal customers.
We arrived at 1:00 pm for lunch. Ordered Jorge’s Tacos, one plate steak, one plate ground beef; for two people; one without onions. BOTH PLATES CAME WITH ONIONS! We were upsold to Dinner Prices, 18.00-20.00 per plate! Lunch plate is not as pricey! We were not asked 2 tacos or four!! We assumed it was lunch hour. We also ordered a chicken sour cream plate that cost dinner price. We were not asked if we wanted the lunch special. Service was extra slow. Atmosphere was extra loud with people scooting metal chairs without chair cushions to quiet the sound. Verbally loud. We ordered four margaritas. Ticket was $107.00 for LUNCH!! Then tip… total $127.00 for lunch for (3) people! Sanitizer stations were all empty. We are Regular customers! Very disappointed. The ground beef tacos were so HOT with jalepeno juice, she couldn’t finish one taco, she ordered no onions but had extra onions. She was unable to eat today because of the pepper burns to her mouth!! She sat with tears 😭 because her mouth was burning so bad! We probably won’t be back. We were clearly taken advantage of as seniors and were UPSALED WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE, until the bill was due.
