Met my spouse up here four years ago and came back last night for our anniversary: it was such a pleasant experience. Whatever they didn't have on the buffett that we wanted, they offered to cook it on the spot. It was a great experience and good food!

My reason for the 5 star rating is because of the customer service. Whether my my family and I dine-in or get take out then staff greet you with a smile. The good is always fresh and you get a lot of variety at a reasonable price.

Good food at a good price. They have a large buffet. I walked in and placed an order from the menu. They were prompt with my order. The portions were generous. I had enough for several lunches. I definitely recommend it!

This is or weekly family's weekend place to eat. We usually go on a Sunday ..sometimesSaturdays. Beware that Sunday's after 2pm there is an out the door waiting line because everyone heads there after church it seems like. I love the baked salmon,sushi,dumplings and menudo. They have chicken bites ,pizza ,fries and wings also. Great salad and fruit selection also. Waitstaff is friendly and always attentive.

I’m from California and it was surprisingly good. The restaurant did not have that smell like a lot of places in Texas that make me turn and walk out,it was clean and the food was good. I’m going back soon

My husband and I drive from Fort Worth, we love their food! We had an order of Chicken Fried Rice! Always friendly towards me and I love their fast to-go service! Just call about 10-15 minutes ahead!

Really awesome experience here... Pleasant and attentive staff... My glass was never empty! Food was amazing and fresh... Cold shrimp and hot crawfish just like we like them!!! I took real pictures of the food to show real images of what we had!!! We went around 230-300 in the afternoon and the cost was only $7.99 !!! Going back next week for my birthday!

This is our family's best place to be. The food is always good. We love it. And our kids grew up coming here. Our only disappointment was NO MORE SIRACHA SAUCE. other than that it's perfect.

I go here 1 or 2 times a month. They have a great buffet with a variety of eats. They're ribs is impressive, taste like what I ate in New Jersey Chinese restaurants. Chicken, beef, fish ( served in various ways ), menudo, peach cobbler and other sweets, plantains, egg Fu Yung, and many others to choose from. They weigh their take out fairly. Definitely glad I found a consistent delicious place to go. My go to place 🧐👍🏼

I rated the restaurant low on service because the waitress wouldn't whipe the food out of the bench/boot seat, saying, "I cannot do that" with the manager there. Why was it hard to wipe the food out of the crack isn't that the job. Then wanted a tip. Why do we give tips at a all you can eat restaurants 🤔 we get out own food, all they do is bring us drinks.

The food was hot and well seasoned. I enjoyed the options but hate they didn't have roast. The ribs were on point. The server was also very attentive. Been going there for years.

I am so grateful that they are still in operation. The Covid pandemic destroyed almost all the restaurants (especially the chinese & thai restaurants) in this area. The food is buffet-style, warm, fresh, and tasty. You may eat in or you may make your selections from the buffet to go. To-go orders are priced by weight. I am not a huge fan of their fried rice and thin noodles (one of the other chinese restaurants that didn't survive the pandemic had better rice and noodle dishes). But overall, fairly reasonable value for the price.

Clean, atmosphere. Service is friendly, courteous and prompt. Food selections are varied, always fresh. The Buffet is continuously being replenished. Your beverage glass is never left empty.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. The outside doesn’t look appealing but don’t let it fool you! The food is great, staff is great, very clean. Only thing that doesn’t make it 5 stars for me is the freshness of the food, some of the items were stale and felt a lil old like the bread. Overall a nice place though.

The food was good, the interior is not too fancy. There were two TV s on different stations to watch while you eat.The price is good. The buffet did not have crabs, but there was shrimp, fish and crawfish. The waitress was extremely attentive and friendly.

This place has a large variety buffet, the food is best if you come by noon or before. And they have menudo, did not try it but it smelled good and spicy. Anytime after is a hit or miss. There is one lady at the cashier who appears to have a nasty attitude. She may be part owner. But she really needs to be more pleasant with her customers. She is the only negative I can say about this place. Beware of "Nasty Attitude Annie"👀😑😊

For an all you can eat. self service place it is ok. It is fast and most of the selections are warm still a bit pricey for what it offers.

The food is ok, they do have a lot of options though. It's about the same as any other buffet. There aren't any specialties that I would say stand out above other similar restaurants. But you'll get your money's worth most definitely.

The customer service is good. People greet you with a smile and are very friendly. The atmosphere is ok. Not the best because the walls are dirty. The food is always warm but too oily. I don't think i would recommend this place to eat at.

Went for the Lunch buffet. They had ribs for Lunch. They were fall off the bone good, but that "BBQ" sauce...if that is what they were trying to call it...tasted like sweetened, cooked Ketchup. While eating my first plate full, I noticed an ANT crawling on my plate. It was the only one we could locate. We looked all over our table and ceiling, to no avail. The garlic bread was very hard. The Teriyaki Chicken was VERY good. I went back for more. My date loved the steamed filet of fish and the Pork Egg Roll. Nothing else tasted exceptional, to her. The layout of the food on the buffet was very chaotic. Hot entree dishes were next to part of the deserts. The salad items and fruits were in the dead center. Lack of planning was very obvious there. There was dust all over the place and on the ceiling, by all the vents. As we were leaving to pay the bill, the waitress told us Thank you. Thought that was nice. While in line, waiting to pay, she came past us again and said Thank you, once more. This time I noticed a slight sarcastic tone in her voice. Maybe it was from not leaving a tip directly on the table. My date noticed the tone also and asked me about it. I decided not to leave a tip, after that. Better places, for the same price or better...especially right across the street.

Editing my review, the food was still great tasting, and the staff was wonderful, but I got insanely sick after eating here. It was probably due to someone touching the food or something, but just be aware.

Everything was acceptable. The staff made sure to keep the bar clean & refreshed (despite dirty unruly kids touching on everything). I wish they had more unbattered not fried items. Large selection though. Ice cream, desserts, wings, all types of fried/battered chicken (teriyaki, orange, hot, etc), menudo, chicken fried rice, fresh fruits, & the noodles were good. I would see this place on my way to church and forget about going in after service. So I stopped and tried to play it safe by ordering the Vegetable Fried Rice and glad I asked about the use of zucchini because they were going to load it up. So overall it wasn't bad and not my style. Service was okay and the atmosphere is dodgy with random people coming out the back of this building.

Before the pandemic this was my come to place. Since then I have been back once almost the same minus the Buffalo wings. Most importantly the service was totally AWESOME!!!! I will be back soon for another 2 hours of drinking sweet tea and eating with good company.

The way that they stand over you while you're eating makes it uncomfortable and after your second plate they bring your bill and escort you to the front and block the door. I've never felt more like a criminal before.

The restaurant, food and staff were all mediocre. Female latrine was acceptable; however, there was a strong urine smell from the men's latrine permeating the small enclosed hall. It is obvious that someone cares enough to try to make the place more. Perhaps better selections, or a better layout would help. The floor plan felt impulsive. I personally would require more options in order to return.

Im disappointed. My family and I attended this resturant earlier this year and at that time their systems went down while using my debit card so I had to use another card. Went to a family outting yesterday and tried to use said card but was declined because they charged my card on June 22. I was never there. Went there and talked to the mananger she checked her records no purchase was made for that date. She said she couldn't refund my money because it wasn't her fault but I wasn't the only person that has come to her with this same issue. She gave me an 800 number of the processing company which was useless. The lady basically told me to just dispute it with my bank..... I will say the food is good and their service but the rating is for my money being taken for no reason. My suggestion is to use cash only.

It gives nursing home vibes. No seasoning at all and terrible service. Was charged 7.99 lb when it should have been 5.99 lb lunchtime. First time and less than a minute from my work but I’ll continue to go to Jimmy’s in Duncanville.

Food was amazing but the servers are just too rude , that why my last server got a dollar , what do you expect you don’t really do much anyways you where just sitting down in a booth mean mugging 😂 , I serve my own food , the rice was stale too , then try to intimidate me by asking me 1 dollar tip ?? The food was ok but server was horrible. She was middle- aged. We sat on the far side of the buffet. She took a plate of scraps, looked at the plate and proceeded to tell us how we didn't eat all our food. Wrong, we did. We aren't in the habit of wasting food. Then, we went to the front to pay and she was right behind us. She ran my card. I crossed out the tip portion (because I was going to pay in cash). Before I could even give her the generous $10 tip she looks at my receipt and says "no tip"? We won't be back and you need to get rid of her. We used to live close to here and came all the time. Now we are 25 minutes away and would gladly start coming back but it's not worth it. You want more customers, use better servers.

I tried this restaurant because of all the positive reviews. I'm posting a review because the food, regrettably, did not live up to them. I'm giving it two stars because my takeout was thoughfully packaged to prevent spils in my car, and the vegetables were fresh. But both things we ordered lacked a sauce that had flavor or meat that wasn't extremely chewy (in a very unappealing way). We took one bite each and decided to pursue dinner elsewhere.

This used to be a spot with good food. At least it’s what I remember when I was younger. I went and very very bad quality food. Most food seemed not appealing at least to my standards. I only grabbed one plate and didn’t even finish. Everyone has different preferences but this is no good. I feel like they cook with laziness. Well me, my sister and cousin went here and the service was going great until the lady stared weighing my food and get to moving it so it could cost more and the food is cold me and my sister both had the same amount of food but some how hers came up to 11 something mean while mines was 8.81 even the the price went from 8.09 to 8.15 to 8.81 as she is Constantly moving my food around and putting her hand on top of it how ever my sister said she did not move her food around as much as she did my mind nor did she sit her hand on top of her food like she did mines

I took my daughter here for her birthday August 8th 2021. The owner was very rude, not greeted when we walked in. The food was bland and cold for the amount of money we paid and the server and service was horrible. We had to keep asking her for drink refills and to clear our table. She made sure she put our check on the table within 20 minutes of us being there as if she was rushing us out the door. Thanks but no thanks never again!!!!

My grandma, brother and I went there to eat since the one we normally go to down the street was under construction. When we first arrived it was super cold. I mean super cold that is was uncomfortable. They have poor customer service. They have a variety of food which doesn't mean anything because all of their food was cold! As I was getting some more food I had dropped a sweet and sour chicken. A worker comes over while I'm looking at her she picks up the piece of chicken that I dropped and put it in a shrimp dish instead of trashing the chicken. She saw me watch her and deliberately moved the chicken to another location where it did not belong! So if you go there make sure you watch out for them. I informed the manager and SHE DID NOTHING ABOUT IT!!! SHE DIDNT TAKE MY MEAL OFF OR GIVE US A DISCOUNT. She was embarrassed because all of the customers were listening to what I had to say. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN SAD TO SAY.

I just left from this place they had horrible customer service,was very rude and keep harassing us to pay the bill while we were trying to enjoy our meal. I really do not like to be negative or post negative comments about a business/someone's livelihood. It was new years and. We were the only customers so im sure it would be hard to keep a buffet fresh.... FYI future references it would be better to close early than serve that to your customers. Especially at the price we paid.

The food good is ok for a Chinese buffet. But the thing I didn't really like is that they demand a tip. The first time I left cash tip on the table but went to pay with my credit card. The cashier said "the tip." The next time (I know my mistake was coming back) the waiter was looking over my shoulder when I was signing for my credit card. And she said "that's too little." That made me feel like she didn't deserve anything.

I haven’t had Rice Garden since 2001. My family and I used to dine in this place many times in the mid to late 90s until we started going to Bamboo Palace in Cedar Hill. This is also a late review because I came here about a month or so ago and didn’t have the time to write it. This was a takeout, didn’t want to dine in. I noticed they switched up a few things over the years, the buffet used to be in round circle bins....the food, however wasn’t so impressive. The lo mein was not good, neither was the chicken and broccoli. It was a little rubbery to me. For all I know, I could have been eating dog/cat/rat meat. These Asian restaurants are KNOWN for cooking abominations (yes, pork is an ABOMINATION as well) The only thing I’d say were somewhat decent were the wings. I felt like I had to go to Panda Express to make up for this! Over the years, I’ve started to dislike Chinese dishes. It’s too salty and LOADED with MSG (even though the LIE to you and say that is doesn’t contain it) I don’t go to all you can eat places like used to in my fat girl days. Now as I get older, the food don’t do so well with your stomach. I try to eat healthy, but when you eat this kind of stuff in moderation, it can throw your stomach off! I felt sick for a couple of days. 🤢😷 Rice Garden will not be seeing me again. Matter of fact, I will be cooking my own food at home, at least I know what’s in it.

First time there ordered takeout, lady at the front had an attitude I ask a lot of soy sauce and she gave me one packet I asked for more and she gave me 2 more, then asked me was something wrong in a f#%k up tone.. if I just payed $7 for ya “not even that good” Chinese food I don’t think it will hurt you to give a few packets of soy sauce minus the attitude.. she was so quick to want to get back to her phone.. won’t be back!

I did a carry out order of just chicken fried rice, orange chicken and teriyaki chicken! Then a small container of fried bananas and pudding. My dinner container was only half full because, I got what I wanted to eat. She weighed my food and it was 14.54 and no drink included. When I got home, I ate the dessert first! It was good no complaints there. However, the food had a weird smell and it tasted like it smelled! Everything was dry and did not taste like chicken at all. I could only swallow one bite, the second bite I spit out! I quickly went back and got a refund on the uneaten food! This was my first and last time eating here!

the bill was brought to the table after one plate. We continued to eat while my mom was halfway on her second plate the older waitress came to the table removed the fortune cookies from the top of the bill and tapped on the bill and refused to leave the table till we paid.

The food was cold, the waitress that sat us was rude and threw our silverware down. When we sat down after collecting our food, My husband took a bite of an egg roll and it smelled extremely sour so we decided to leave. We informed them of the issues, and that we would pay for the drinks but not the food. The lady that took my payment had an attitude and made a smart and unnecessary comment which was due to her error. We hadn’t been here in years due to the food being poor last time and will certainly not return in the future.

The only reason i gave 1 star was because 0 was not an option. The food here was less than mediocre. The entire place smelled of rotten seafood. The hostess was rude when we walked in and the wait staff hovered over the table while waiting for us to pay the check, then continued to hover and put pressure on my husband for a tip after bringing us change. Not to mention it was $30 for 2 people. I don't know how this place is still running because it needs serious work and a close inspection by the health department.

So I left work due to the fact that I knew I would make it before closing time. Online says it closes at 5:30 but when I got there they had a car jacked up but the guy signaled that they were already closed. Mind you I pulled up at 5:14 and the guy spent more time talking to someone outside then acknowledging me. I’ve came here 3 other times before this never had an issue. This place just lost a customer and any referrals that I have given out. Now I have to find another tire shop that will change my tire.

Noodles were overcooked and pale, crab rangoon had almost no filling, and no sauce was provided. I requested a refund and had issues with that as well.

All Chinese Buffets are pretty much the same, it all taste the same. Service sets you apart from any restaurants but more so in a Chinese Buffet, the service here was a joke. The owner yelled at me asking me how many was in my party, very rudely. The food at this place was gross as well. The place looks as run down as the food tasted.

food was good but there was a lady that was being very disrespectful. when we were done eating she was just looking at us and asking if we were done to go and pay and we told her 3 times we were not done (my sister eats slow so she was the only one eating) made us very uncomfortable that we had to leave even when my sister wasn’t done eating. I’ve been coming here for over 17yrs but today will be the last time When my daughter and I arrived , we were asked if it was to go or here We advised here and then were told we had to pay before we ate This has NEVER happened before and I just watched the family before and after us be seated without having to pay in advance. That should have been the sign for me to leave but because we come here all the time I just went ahead and paid cause we were hungry. We were shown where to sit and from that point moving fwd , we received NO SERVICE. NO DRINK REFILLS , NO DISPOSAL OF DIRTY PLATES NOTHING I watched all the others tables around us get the service we usually received and I became very disappointed I asked a server why we weren’t getting the usual service and she looked at me like I spoke a third world language At that point we proceeded to leave , do you think the manager or anyone tried to do anything NOPE It’s cool we won’t be back and will be filing a dispute

Cold and stale food even during dinner time (like 6ish?). Only about 5 chinese-american dishes on the buffet line. The rest is american food like pizza, old chicken wings, and sushi that looked to have been made at lunch time. What chinese food they di offer was near flavorless and cold. Additionally, one of the waitstaff had her phone on speaker and was walking around refilling drinks while having a whole conversation on LOUD speakerphone in chinese. Rude as hell. Used to have fountains and such to look at and enjoy the atmosphere but these are drained now with little ropes to keep people from tripping over them. No idea what happened to this place but it just ain't worth the price in the slightest.

Poor customer service, the place was empty, there were only 2 families there. I was able to walk in and get what I wanted and pay and leave quickly. Got home to try the food... gross, gross, gross. Everything I got was old tasting and disgusting. The only things worth eating were the mushrooms and egg rolls, which were just ok. I won't return nor recommend it. When I was in my 20s, they were good, I can't say what, why, or how they fell off, but they did.
