Samir was awesome, welcomed us in and even gave us a dessert for our first time at the resteraunt. He was very informative of the menu. I plan to return again with friends as the experience was very good.

My friend and I came to Taverna for wine and desert and it was such a great decision! The staff was so nice and welcoming. The tiramisu was one of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely coming back for more! 😊

Great food and experience. I ordered brunch special - Taverna breakfast, it was stuffed pork chops. They were very tender and joicy. Highly recommend this restaurant.

If you are in search of delicious Italian food in Dallas with a unique environment, look no further. I had the scallop special of the day and was not disappointed. They were cooked to perfection and the flavor pallette was spot on. I enjoyed the lemon garnishing the dish had as well. Overall, very good food.

This is seriously good Italian. Everybody I take here loves it, and I swoon every time I bite into that freshly made pasta. This is the place you come when you want to treat yourself, celebrate something, and all around have a really good time. Plus, their specials are pretty amazing. I took my dad here once and they had this Melon and prosciutto special and he said he hadn’t had it since he was living in Chicago 20 years ago. This Northern Italian Resturant is basically something out of a dream.

TRES LECHES CAKE (not what you'd expect at an Italian restaurant but amazing if it's on the menu) Taverna is my wife and I's favorite Italian option and it's not just because the delicious meals. The staff is very well led and deliver a top notch experience each time. They master the menu and can guide your choices based on what you're in the mood for.

My friends and I went on a Friday evening (with reservations via OpenTable) and the wine, cocktails, and entrees did NOT disappoint! I thoroughly enjoyed my dish and broccolini (I loved the spices).

A traditional style italian restaurant where we had pizza pie as in this photo, also pasta dishes and bread with olive oil for dipping. Service was just right and staff hospitable. Also patio dining with outdoor service. A place like Taverna restaurant belongs on #mylocalfavorites mobile app. We will visit again when in Dallas uptiwn area.

We love coming here for brunch. Probably one of my favorite Italian places to eat. All the food is authentic and the service is very exceptional. We will come here for years to come!

I was asked to come here for the first time to meet a business partner, and had an overall wonderful time. Beautiful atmosphere, service was fantastic, and the food was to die for. I had some sort of bolognese gnocchi pasta for my entree, a bruschetta appetizer, and the cheesecake for desert. The server was knowledgeable of the menu and was prepared to give recommendations. I will be back!

We've been to Taverna in Austin so we visited the Dallas location while in Dallas for a weekend. The location on Knox is great, and provides a cool vibe in the friendly neighborhood. The cannoli was to die for as was the Carbonara! Our waiter Juan was the best.

What an awesome place! The beef carpaccio was delicious as was the caprese. Israel was awesome and took excellent care! Will definitely be back!

Great food. Tried the Ravioli, salmon and their steak. Everything was delicious and the waitress gave us an excellent service. Beautiful patio seating and they allow dogs/pets on patios.

The food was excellent. We had a party of 10 with reservations. Service was great and we took them up in most of his favorites and weren’t disappointed! We were referred there by a special friend of the owner and would recommend to others for a great dining experience.

Incredible Italian food. Quite authentic. The service is impeccable. The food is fantastic from the appetizers to dessert. I suggest trying the Supremus Toscana Vino.

A group of friends wanted to come here because they'd heard of Taverna's brunch. The eggs benedict were very good, nothing unique or extraordinary. I ordered the regular eggs benedict, with a side of ham, However, my friends ordered the Salmon version, and they look amazing. Next time, I'll order that version of eggs Benedict. The place was pretty, the staff were friendly. We had a wonderful time.

Absolutely delicious food and very attentive service. Cozy setting. Pasta tastes homemade. Their Bolognese does not disappoint. No cocktails, but OK wine.

We visited on a Saturday during lunch time and it was very packed. We were seated immediately though and we ordered mimosas. They didn't seem too have much flavor aside from champagne. We ordered beignets with the cappuccino drizzle and those were delicious! We also had the spinach ravioli and the eggs Benedict and they were very good although the ravioli was not as filling. The service was also great. Would recommend.

Brunch was so delicious. I had their frittata special and mimosas. The mimosas were $2 each, not bad. We ate on their outside patio which was nice and cozy. Can't wait to visit again!

The pasta sauce is so creamy and clings to the Pasta. The green and white noodles were cooked perfectly. The chicken was tender and flavorful. I love the mushrooms. To start we had meatballs. The serving size is 8 delicate medium sized meatballs that are perfect to share. The tomato sauce was delicious and topped off with fresh basil. Served with grilled toasts, it was delicious. Three dollar mimosas are a bonus.

Perfection! It's been a long time since I've been to an Italian restaurant where literally everything (food, service, ambiance) was amazing. We ordered focaccia, Caesar salad, Paglia el fieno, gnocchi, pizza, cheesecake and creme brulee.

Great food and great vibe. The only knock was my seafood risotto was too salty, probably because of the pancetta. Oh well .. had that happened to me while fine dining in Italy also.

Great service and wonderful food. Was very nice sitting on their patio enjoying the nice weather. The focaccia they serve is unique and tasty. I enjoyed the pollo alla piastra. The cacio e Pepe needed alot more Pepe though.

We had an amazing experience at Taverna! It had been a while since my last visit, but from the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home. We were surprising a friend for his birthday, and everything came together perfectly, thanks in large part to Patricia, our server. She was warm, attentive, and went out of her way to help make the day special. Her timing, energy, and genuine care added so much to our experience. Big thanks to the entire team for helping us pull off a memorable celebration. Looking forward to coming back much sooner this time!

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. We showed up 10 minutes early to our reservation and were seated immediately on a Friday night. The service from Anthony (manager) was exceptional as well as our server Wesley. The place was packed and our food came out without delay. The food was absolutely incredible as well. Anthony, your customer service was top notch and we appreciate your attentiveness. This is my new favorite restaurant and nothing comes close. This place checks all of the boxes.

Delicious food and Excellent Service ❤️! Octopus, Bronzino and the Veal Special are amazing!

A

This restaurant is incredible from the moment you enter. The hostess is kind. They have a program that saves your name and number; so, they welcome you back. The manager / owner stops by every table to say hello you. We have lots of food sensitivity / allergies; and, they don’t even blink at accommodating them. We do not drink alcohol - so they make drinking sparkling water such a treat; with red wine glasses and an insulated cooler for the table to hold the bottle. This last visit we learned they even have non alcoholic sparkling wine! Huge bonus Now for the food Wow! We are always blown away with the quality, creativity and flavor! As I mentioned, they accommodated our food issues with a smile. We have been dining there for years and will continue to do so. We live in out of Dallas and love making the trip to enjoy the experience of dining there!

Want brunch and Bellinis? Want munchies and mimosa? Then this is the place. This was my second time visiting Taverna. I've had the beigents and the eggs Benedict, and they were both absolutely delicious. The mimosas and Bellinis were perfect and perfectly priced as well ($3 on Sunday!). Today I had the avacado toast with smoke salmon and poached eggs. It was scrumptious. Somehow it was light yet filling at the same time. The French toast looked and smelled incredible and the bacon was crispy and tasty. Taverna has lots of options (burgers and omelets to name a few), so you can find just what you're in the mood for. I look forward to returning to try something new while making sure I leave room for a dessert!

I have to rave about Taverna. Not only was there amazing service, but the staff was so wonderful, it almost feels that you are eating at home. My friend recently had her birthday and she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES the Tiramisu cake. Made fresh daily, and I have to make a quick comment about having crunchy chocolate chips in the cake which is unheard of! Taverna did an excellent job providing our tiramisu cake TO GO so we can safely enjoy at home. I will ABSOLUTELY be returning to Taverna (@Knox)!

Taverna truly stands out from the rest - their Italian cuisine is about the best I've ever had. Your taste buds will bounce with joy! The welcoming atmosphere and top-notch customer service only add to the experience. It is the spot!

What a beautiful place! I felt like I was on the streets of Italy. The sidewalk dining was charming with the lovely railing separating you from the traffic. The awning is a nice touch, but it felt more homey sitting in the patio on the side of the building. The trees had little twinkly lights and the birds were flying around (not too crazy). It was super nice. You could turn to speak to someone at the next table and feel like it was one big gathering if you wanted to. Now for the service: Our server was attentive, professional and knew his stuff! He checked on us often and gave us time when we were indecisive. His suggestion of the Lagardia wine was excellent ($36 for the bottle). We began with the mussels ($18). Loved the sauce - even more than Trulucks. The accompanying bread was perfect for dipping. Mussels can be tricky - these were wonderful. I ordered the seabass ($34) and my sis ordered the Tavera burger ($19). She loved her burger!! Couldn't finish it, of course (see photo). I stole a couple of fries & had a tiny bite of meat. It was very good. My seabass was cooked perfectly and the sauce was the same as the mussels, so I was happy. The shrimp was full of flavor, yum!! Be careful of the lemon garnish on top - I wasn't paying attention & ate a bite - wow! LOL Alexis (our server) didn't have to twist our arm to much for dessert - we split a chocolate mousse. Divine!! Overall, the experience was very nice and I would recommend this place. We got in at a great time - no wait - but it got really busy before we left (7pm on a Friday).

The moment you step in Taverna restaurant, you're greeted with the most welcoming atmosphere. The food is a taste bud symphony – each dish is a masterpiece. The staff goes above and beyond with their friendliness, making the entire dining experience feel like a celebration. If you're a fan of Italian cuisine, this is your go-to spot. 5 stars all the way! ❤️🇮🇹🍝

Anything you order from the menu is delicious! I will suggest as a starter a Carpaccio di Manzo, one of the best ones I have tried. If you want an extra touch don't forget to add balsamic vinegar and olive oil, you won't regret it. We also ordered veal parmigiana and fruti di mare with capellini. To finish a great tiramusi, you won't like to share! The service is always welcoming and checking if we needed anything. The food speaks for itself. I always come back when I'm in town.

We had an absolutely incredible experience eating lunch here last Saturday. A huge thank you to ARTURO, our waiter who was absolutely amazing, and Alyssa(GM) who made sure everything was perfect for us. We will definitely eat here again in the future. For a four star restaurant, we received five star food and service! Mike

Went on a Saturday without realizing brunch was going on, so it was very busy but we only had to wait for a few minutes to get seated. Our waiter was great and very nice. The focaccia with prosciutto was more like toasted pizza dough, but it was still great. The paglia e fieno was very good. You could taste the truffle oil, but it was not overwhelming. The carbonara was also very good.

K

Before mentioning the food I must say the employees here are AMAZING! We were warmly greeted upon walking in the door and the love continued throughout our visit. Every person we interacted with made us feel welcomed and valued as a customer. Round of applause to the hiring manager and trainers - great job. And the food did not disappoint. At all. The table bread was an excellent way to start the meal and is served with EVOO & balsamic. It is warm, lite, crispy and garlicky. Yum! I was having an extremely hard time deciding what to order so I went with our servers suggestion of the carbonara and my friend went with the lasagna. Then we made the mistake of ordering side salads too... The portions were so generous we could barely finish it all (good problem to have!). The ceasar salad was really good and had the perfect amount of dressing and freshly shave parm. And despite only being able to put down about 3 fork-fulls of my pasta, it was absolutely delicious - I am so glad she suggested it. We ordered tiramisu to-go and had cappuccinos while we waited on our dessert and leftovers to be boxed. They serve Illy coffee here which is one of my absolute favorites. Capp did not disappoint. On the way out we noticed they have weekedn brunch too! I am visiting and my flight doesn't leave until Sunday evening... Needless to say, we're going back for brunch before I head back home. If I had another hand I would give Taverna 3 thumbs up - definitely recommend.

Super nice place. Amazing food and the service is awesome. The manager went by all the tables to check on everyone. We got the salmon and gluten free pasta with bolognese. Since I was sharing the salmon with someone they put it on two plate without us even asking. Would definetly go back. Pretty pricey but it's a great place to have a nice lunch or dinner.

This has become a new spot on my Brunch list! I can't say enough about the staff as well as the food. I visited the restaurant twice within 3 weeks and both visits were top notch! I had the Salmon hash on my first visit and it was delicious 😋!!Daniel R. served us on my last visit Aug 17th, he was such a sweetie! He was on point when checking in on us and made sure those drinks were timely! We never had to look for him. Thanks Daniel! The $3 Mimosas/Bellinis were the highlight of the visit, thank you guys for those drinks, you don't find those priced this well anymore! The atmosphere is lively, lots of mingling amongst the guests at the tables, everyone just seemed to be be enjoying themselves. I will be returning for the drinks as well as the 5 star service! If have not tried this place, definitely find time to stop in! Also there is $7 valet across the street from the restaurant.

Delicious option for lunch or dinner with a great vibe, good food, and excellent service. Conveniently located in the walkable Knox/Henderson area, Taverna can be as quick or leisurely as you’d like it to be. Good for a business lunch with colleagues or clients, and equally appropriate for a family meal.

Lovely spot with a warm, cozy vibe and truly delicious Italian food. Everything we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. What an amazing place for Italian food! I tried three different plates. One of them was seabass with black olives and special spices. It reminded me of one plate I had when I was in Rome. The atmosphere was beyond incredible. And guess what? If you have a birthday the waiters will sing you an Italian Happy birthday song. I will go back for sure.

Had the best Sunday Morning brunch! We sat on the patio and there was beautiful fake flowers hanging over the lights on the patio. The waitress and staff were all really sweet and helpful. I ordered the BEC Sandwich (Bacon Egg Cheese) and it came with fries and it was so good ! And everything was so reasonably priced. Overall had a great experience! I will say- they go have valet but it was full so I had to scramble to find parking which was a pain but it worked out.

I am beyond obsessed with Taverna. Taverna and Toulouse have the same ownership (if I’m not mistaken) and they both have such a great, cozy atmosphere. The truffle fries are the best in Dallas, in my opinion (perfectly crisp and well-distributed). I love the burger, bruschetta, focaccia, and their pastas. My go-to is the bolognese. Right off the Katy Trail if you want to grab brunch after a nice walk.

First time of many times dining here and I was impressed. The Taverna offers an exceptional dining experience with food that’s both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere when the patio is fully open perfectly captures the vibrant energy of New York, bustling yet intimate. It’s the kind of place where both the food and the ambiance leave a lasting impression—definitely a must-visit. I’d recommend trying the bruschetta to start, Then the Fiocchi al Gorgonzola or the Paglia e Fieno as the main course.

This was my 3rd time here and I am always impressed with the service and quality of the food! Benny, the manager, was very welcoming and I knew the rest of my time here would be just as pleasant. Joseph was our server and he made great suggestions from wine, to the appetizer, to the main entree. I casually mentioned before my friend arrived we were celebrating her birthday and it would be her first time here. Benny and Joseph remembered and wished my friend a happy birthday and also asked how she enjoyed her first time visiting. This level of service and excellent food makes this place a place to always visit when I want to nice meal out!

Tried to visit on a Sunday for brunch but did not have reservations. They were packed! So if you're planning to do brunch, make reservations. We came back on Monday for a late lunch and were glad we did. The atmosphere is interesting. Casual with open kitchen, dining room concept. Could you use a fresh coat of paint and a little updating of Decor. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive. For starters, we shared the beet root salad and meatballs, both excellent choices. The generous portion of meatballs (which could be a meal itself) are legit Italian. You can taste the savory herbs and spices in the delicious homemade gravy. For our entrees, we had the special risotto with crab and shrimp and salmon. Both were wonderful! Shrimp was a bit overcooked, but over all, dish was good. We had 2 desserts, the Cannoli, which was obviously homemade and tasted wonderful. The clear winner was the flourless molten lava cake. We shared a bottle of wine, the special seasonal Spritz and Cappachino. All the food tasted so good that we just had to get a specialty pizza to go for later! Glad we did, it was wonderful!Definitely, for the cost of the meal and the experience, it is worth the cost, which was reasonable for the value and quantity!! You definitely won't leave hungry. We highly suggest you visit and will definitely be back as we have now found our special date night restaurant.👌😁

Excellent place for extraordinary Italian food. We celebrated our daughter's birthday at Taverna and we felt like we had been transported to a quaint fuori restaurant in Rome. Stellar service...Every morsel of food superb!! We started with the fritto misto-Perfectly fried and salted, calamari, shrimp, zucchini and eggplant. Veal parmigiana with spaghetti pomodoro was tender and delicious. Tagliolini scampi with shrimp was a tangy, garlicky, capery, lemon delight! My favorite hands down was the homemade fiocchi al gorgonzola. Pillowy pasta, filled with creamy gorgonzola, pears, walnuts, arugula in a light cream sauce. This dish should be experienced by all! Minestrone soup was good and so was the ceasar salad. The only thing I could say that is a negative is the tiramisu...not because it wasn't good, because it was, but because it was too small...it was the only thing on the menu not worth the $$

I really enjoyed my dining experience at Taverna. This location is very cute and the patio view is nice… and now enjoyable because the weather is cooling down. The portions of each of the dishes were just right and everything was seasoned well. The best hit of the night was the tiramisu dessert. The presentation was unique and the taste was truly a delight! I recommend setting reservations ahead of time and plan to valet because there is very limited street parking as it is off the busy, popular strip of Knox Henderson.

The ambiance was nice. Good place to go out and enjoy a nice meal. Prices are on the higher side for the service and quality of food you receive but as I said it’s the ambiance that your paying for here. Will likely try other places but nothing that would prevent me from going back.

This spot offers quality Italian food in a nice neighborhood environment. Plenty of outdoor seating and the patio is dog friends + has plenty of heaters. Staff was knowledgeable not only on the menu but on the wine list as well. We started with the Taverna Focaccia, Beet Salad, and the Fritto Misto. All three were fantastic, fresh beets were great and the focaccia was sort of like a pizza with delicious pickled onions and shaved Parmesan on top. For entrees, my wife and I split the spaghetti carbonara and the filetto di manzo, which was a filet over truffle mashed potatoes served with carrots, asparagus and a Chianti wine sauce. I got medium rare and it was cooked to perfection and the truffle mashed potatoes were insanely good. The carbonara was solid, not out of this world but a good dish.

Good was really good, we ordered “tonnarelli calcio & pepe” was hoping I could see how they prepared it in the wheel cheese but they just bring you the plate already prepared. And “ paglia e fieno” i felt in love with this plate, a lot of flavor, if you love truffle like I do I would recommend this one. We went Monday night and it was packed, so the attention wasn’t great, that would be my only complaint.

C
Charlotte

My partner and I decided to grab lunch here. The food was good but very pricy for what it was. My partner ordered Cacio e Pepe ($20)- it was not worth that much especially as the portion was on the smaller side. I got a pizza which I thought was fairly decent and also more affordable. We also got the focaccia which was basically pizza crust with parmesan on top. We both enjoyed this but it wasn’t very focaccia-esque. Overall, I don’t think that Taverna is worth the price.

Located at Knox street, a must try Italian place. There is a wide range of dishes and the service is also extremely good. They have both indoor and patio seating. But the price is a little high for the quantity of the dish they serve.

Good place to sit relax and have a dinner. Quite a happening street to go and sit. Its full and reservation is preferable. We ordered focacia bread which was chefs special which is pizza and not happy for it but rest was all good food. We had eggplant parmesan, butter squash ravioli, zucchini fritta ans mocktails which was good. We order different for kid and they really took care of it.

Such a sweet little lunch spot. My first time here and it was a very cozy and warm set up. A little crowded but definitely added to the European-Esque vibe. Although our server was very busy he made sure our glasses were always full and we had everything we needed. Food was delicious and for dessert I asked for an affogato which they didn't have on the menu but made happen just for me!

The food and service are great. The atmosphere? It depends. Inside is definitely better than the patio, even when the weather is nice. The patio is right next to a loud road. The worst seats? On the sidewalk, about 2 feet from the curb. Both kids and dangerous. So, it's great if you can sit inside, good if you can sit on the patio, and terrible if you have to sit on the sidewalk.

Great service by Rob. I made it a personal challenge to try and empty my drink, but Rob was so attentive I could never make it to the bottom. His knowledge of the wine selection was impressive and very helpful in making a selection. Food was fantastic except the appetizer meatballs. The consistency and taste reminded me of frozen meatballs I could find in the supermarket freezer aisle. I would gladly visit again just for the service by Rob, but I wouldn’t order meatballs.

Came across this spot and decided to give it a try. The Branzino was actually quite good—nicely cooked and flavorful. Unfortunately, the salad that came with it was a real letdown. Not fresh at all and just poorly done 😂… One pleasant surprise was the mushroom soup. It didn’t look particularly appealing when served, but it tasted much better than expected—rich and comforting. Service was just average. Staff weren’t particularly attentive, and the overall experience felt a bit underwhelming on that front.. Parking here was also an issue. Valet costs $7+ tips, but it was a bit of a walk and very inconvenient.. All in all, it’s one of those places with a couple of good items on the menu, but a lot of room for improvement when it comes to service and logistics.。

We had an enjoyable experience at Taverna on New Year’s Eve. This place has always intrigued us as we walk past it on the trail. The service was incredibly friendly and we enjoyed the ambiance. Overall, the food was good but not excellent. We really enjoyed the burrata but felt that the pizza was not necessarily exceptional. Would give it 3.75-4 stars.

Very loud restaurant, it is always crowded, nice vibe , good service but the food could be improved.

Service was a bit slow but overall good. The chef’s focaccia is a good entree to share. We tried gorgonzola gnocchi (good); special risotto with scallops, shrimp and porcini (ok); risotto with mushrooms and shrimps (ok); tagliolini with scampi (I do not recommend) and lasagna (not good). All the above was completed by a red wine from Sicily.

First time there today and our original bartender was attentive and friendly when we ordered. Then our friends came in and we all of a sudden had a new bartender, small girl with purple/blue hair. She wasn’t friendly or attentive. She seemed to pay attention to other people and i even made eye contact when I asked if we could be served before she hesitated to come help us. We only had a couple drinks and some shots. As a group of bartenders it just wasn’t a great experience of customer service. The atmosphere is nice and we never ordered food but the menu seemed good but that particular bartender was awful.

We visited Taverna on Knox Street in Dallas this evening with a reservation originally set for 18 people. Unfortunately, only 9 of us were able to make it. From the start, the manager on duty, Maria, came across as very firm and a bit too stern. When she realized no one else would be arriving, she immediately and somewhat aggressively removed the extra waters from the table, which felt unnecessary and rude. I understand it wasn’t ideal for such a large reservation to shrink, but it wasn’t something within my control. Throughout the evening, Maria approach felt nervous and aggressive, as if she was frustrated with us for the no-shows, and it left a sour impression. Considering our table still spent close to $700 (with gratuity), I expected more courtesy. On the positive side: the food was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the outdoor area was lovely. The dining experience itself was enjoyable, but the service attitude unfortunately overshadowed it for me. I’m not sure if I’d return because of how we were treated, which is disappointing given how great everything else was.

Normally, appetizers should be served before the main course, but our mains came out first and the appetizer only afterwards. The fried calamari was mostly eggplant, and the truffle fries we ordered never arrive. Very disappointed it this time

I really love the dinner atmosphere of the restaurant. I only wish that the food and service were on the same level. The mozzarella in the bruschetta appetizer was very good. But the chicken in the pasta was very disappointing in the fishwas very salty. This is obviously a company that understands their business and I'm not suggesting they make any changes, they obviously know what they're doing. Just reading my personal taste. Rest assured, that if a friend suggests we go there for dinner next week I'll go back.

Ambiance and service were great! We ordered a pasta and lasagna and we were shocked that the pasta we ordered had almost no flavor. I never add salt to my dishes and I had to add quite a bit to the pasta for it to taste better. It also said it had truffle and we didn’t taste or smell it unfortunately. The lasagna had good flavor though and that helped balance out the meal. I wish we could love this place, but it’s definitely too expensive for the quality of food we got. Hopefully it was just an off day and others have better experiences.

First time here for a girl's brunch. Valet parking directly across the street for $5. FYI. We were greeted & seated quickly. We had a reservation. Our server was great. Service was a little slow and the flies were horrible in the area we were seated in. Weirdly as we were leaving they were bringing out citronella candles!! Sir we needed those over a hour ago! 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ We tried the beignets but didn't like them. The cappuccino sauce was good though. The calamari was delicious. Our table ordered the burger, pasta dishes & a chicken dish. I thoroughly enjoyed the pasta dish & my friend enjoyed her burger. Our other friend's chicken dish was a little cold & too many tomatoes. The food is a little pricey for the caliber but it was an ok first experience.

Taverna is a really nice location aesthetically. I just was distracted by the service. It took over 15 mins to get a waiter but afterwards the service was a little better. The food was good. I wasn’t blown away by my cacio Pepe but everyone else at my table loved their dishes. In particular, they really loved the gnocchi and sea bass. I would say we spent 30 dollars a person, which is good for high quality Italian. Maybe I would try taverna again but maybe during a less busier time.

Came here for a Sunday brunch with some friends, sat on the patio. Service and atmosphere were great. Food, however, was mediocre. We ordered the bruschetta to share… the diced tomatoes had no flavor, and the bread seemed like cheap supermarket quality. Bit silly for $16 for 4 slices. I ordered the garganelli all’arrabbiata for my main. The pasta was overcooked, basically fall-apart. Italians eat pasta pretty al dente, but this wasn’t even an American al dente. Sauce tasted like it was out of a jar, highlight was the 3 Calabrian chiles - but these were oddly served with the stem on. Bit frustrating because these all seem like they’re easily solvable quality decision/control issues. Good Italian is very hard to find in Dallas, but this place could be great if there was just a bit more focus put on food quality.

Came for an early dinner and left disappointed. The margarita pizza was not fresh and reminded me more of a frozen pizza from a grocery store. The gnocchi was under seasoned but was an okay dish. Service was fine, wine was good.

This place is in a good location, but the food wise, the portions were pretty small for the price and potatoes were over cooked. Sad to give this feedback, but hope it helps you to do better. We were surprised with the price of mimosa as they were strong and only 3 bucks!

Used to be one of my favorites. Followed then to different locations. Perhaps with time and popularity they don't pay as much attention to the quality of their food anymore. Meatballs like like finely ground meat and fillers rather than meatiness and seafood pasta had barely any seafood. And the shellfish were tiny. But most of all the taste simply wasn't good anymore. I was disappointed and sad.

Nice place. $5 valet parking. Location is in a nice area with other restaurants and shopping centers. Made reservations and was seated when arrived.Service was great and only took 10-15 minutes to get food. The food looked very pretty but had no flavor. Had to ask for salt and pepper but still didn’t taste pleasurable. Payed for the experience.

We come here all the time and it’s great service and food alike But, We get take out and it taste like 3 day-old Parmesan with melted butter. 100 dollars worth of food my wife’s burger was rare she ordered it medium. We love this place but it’s like a ghost kitchen is cooking their take out. At least the McDonald’s that I ordered because I was so hungry was consistent.

First photo was how I expected my risotto to look (previous dining experience at same location), but when I visited again they seem to have switched up the recipe. Definitely not as good as the first time. I came in specifically for the risotto thats supposed to be one of the best in Dallas, that's no longer the case. Nice waitress, but that's about it.

I felt profiled based on my appearance during my visit. When I walked in, I asked to sit at the bar. The host went to speak with the bartender, and I noticed the bartender look me up and down before saying they didn’t have anything available for me. I was then seated at a table instead. The interaction made me feel uncomfortable, but I chose to stay because I genuinely wanted to try the food. While my server was attentive, as a former server myself, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being judged or profiled — possibly as someone who wouldn’t tip well. Ironically, because I’ve worked in the service industry, I’m actually a very generous tipper. Unfortunately, because of how unwelcome I felt, I won’t be returning

The atmosphere was really good, vibrant, and fun. The food not so much. I wanted something simple for brunch so ordered the avocado and toast. It was really bad in almost a funny way. As you can see from the picture (taken as I received it) the random assortment of dry burger salad toppings were arranged in a weird druidic circle around my plate. A single piece of hard supermarket bread in the middle. The salmon I removed as it's freshness was questionable. The avocado was old and had a couple of the outer skin in it. The poached eggs were ok. The server was nice but was oddly confused as to why I only had a couple of bits, however did not inquire as to why or if there was an issue with my meal. I honestly thought at first it was some sort of prank being played on me. Maybe it was?

I always come to this place to enjoy the Beef Carpaccio. Today I ordered it to go for the first time and the serving size is just ridiculous. When is served in the restaurant is on a big round plate and is plenty. The order to go is less than 6 slices. For the same price, Not worth it.

We have been long time patrons of Taverna on Knox. We love the service, the atmosphere, the food…until today over lunch. Our server informed us that they had hired a new chef. We hadn’t ordered our long time favorite bruschetta in a while, so we decided to splurge. Instead of the delicious bowl of fresh tomatoes, garlic, and basil with 8 or so sliced pieces of grilled bread, we got 4 pieces of bread with a small pile of tomatoes and cheese. It was still good, but much less homestyle and garlicky than the previous dish. Next was my beloved eggplant Parmesan…the spaghetti side has always been served with freshly sliced garlic, and it honestly y made the dish. I had to ask for them to add it this time and sent back my dish. My husband always orders the mussels and they come with a generous amount of sauce, but this time they were dry, with much less sauce and bread. We still love Taverna, but we’re sad that our favorite dishes had been altered. It kind of seems like they’re trying to save money by cutting back on ingredients. Hopefully this review reaches helpful ears because we want to keep coming back!!

I was excited to try Taverna and when my friend and I went for brunch this past weekend, we were happy with the service we got. The food was pretty good we ordered the hash and the polenta and sausage and eggs. We also got some mimosas and they were only $2 during Sunday brunch. However, after brunch, my friend and I both got horrible headaches and felt nauseous for the remaining of the day. I don’t know if it was the mimosas, maybe bad champagne or orange juice, that caused it, because we ordered different things. Not sure if I will come back given there are so many other good restaurants. I’d recommend stay away from the mimosas... or be careful and expect the same thing to happen to you.

I recently ordered the Tagliolini al Nero di Seppia e Scampi through DoorDash, which was described as handmade squid ink tagliolini with shrimp, garlic, white wine, and grape tomatoes in a butter sauce. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what was advertised. After a few bites in, I noticed something strange—there were pieces of ground beef mixed in with the pasta. This was odd and completely unexpected, given that the dish was supposed to feature seafood, not meat. As I continued to inspect my meal, I found a few pieces of white linguine mixed in, which clearly didn’t belong in a dish described as squid ink tagliolini. To make matters worse, the random presence of ground beef and white pasta made me feel like the dish had been either mixed with something that was already eaten or half-eaten before being sent to me. This was an extremely unsettling experience that made me question the hygiene and preparation practices of the restaurant.

Do not order online from them. They cancel your order without notice and don’t tell you until you get there especially on door dash. Food is good though Response: Then you guys should not take orders on DoorDash that you are not able to fulfill and if you cannot fulfill an order then you should tell people right away so they don’t show up to the restaurant and realize you canceled their order

Probably one of the worst waitstaff experiences. Me and my boyfriend went here for dinner and waitstaff was slow despite us being one of their only tables. Waiter forgot what drink my boyfriend had ordered and brought it out 20 minutes after the entree had been served, after being reminded. The only thing that was fast was giving us the check. No amount of courtsey or positive service given to us. Additionally the food is not worth the price, it was bland, 28$ for a pile of four underseasoned below standard ravioli.

Honestly, the food was great. However, our server felt like he didn’t want to be there. He was mostly MIA (Francisco). Apparently, Patricia is the person you wanna request. My family and I were there to celebrate my sister-in-laws recent engagement. One of the other servers (not Francisco) dropped a bowl of marinara on the floor and it splattered on the newly engaged couple. She was wearing a white sweater that had marinara splatter all over it. The server who spilt the marinara was very apologetic and even brought us oxi-clean to try to take care of the stains. All that being said, I was disappointed by Francisco’s reaction or lack thereof and frankly by managements reaction. Both just disregarded us and entirely. Neither our server or management apologized, nor did anyone offer to comp a single item for the dry cleaning that’ll be required. The cherry on top was the 20% auto gratuity that was charged at the end. When things go wrong, I believe how we react speaks volumes and leaves the lasting memory. The server who made the mistake owned it and showed my family care. Francisco and management did nothing, said nothing, charged us an extra 20% and then sent us on our way. My family and I will not be back.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt really disappointed with this delivery. The portion size was shockingly small for the price — it looked more like a sample than a proper meal. It’s hard not to feel ripped off when you’re paying full price and receiving so little. Definitely not worth what I paid
