First time here since covid rules. Drive thru was crowded but it moved fairly quickly. Also the staff was very efficient and accommodating. Good stop before the tunnel or shopping.

I come here occasionally during my lunch break for graveyard shift. The ladies in there are super hot, sweet and kind. Idk y they always have her by herself, if she can handle it than kudos to her but if not they should pair her up wit some help js. Anywho, dope spot imo.

For the first time in my life I was turned away by McDonald's They refused my business. It's a walk-up store and they refused any walk up customer. If you don't own a car you don't get to eat at this place! I have never been so incensed and insulted in my life and it happened at at McDonald's! It is difficult enough to justify eating at McDonald's in the first place now I don't think it'll happen again in my lifetime.

Great service at the drive thru location at the Holland Tunnel, in bound to Manhattan. The associates were most gracious, efficient and wholly pleasant to interact with. A huge thank you to ALL on the team for their positive and pleasant experience.
Might have been extra hungry from moving, but best tasting mcdonalds in a while! Fries were good, burger was warm and cheese melted... they were cleaning the restaurant so it was only available for take out that day.
It's super annoying that you can't add Mac sauce to your burger on any app, including the McDonald's app. Pretty much the only reason I ever go to a physical location anymore. That said, this location seemed good.

I cannot believe I’m writing a review about McDonalds, but if I’m being completely honest, it’s so worth it. I have been going to this McDonalds for over the past 2 years and I consistently have such a positive experience. I’m compelled to say this is THE BEST McDonalds I have been to in my life. The service is always kind, I always get the impression that the employees are happy with their work. They are fast and efficient and clearly the system they have in place to ensure everyone is getting their needs met in a timely manner is working and working well. The other thing that continuously blows my mind is that the food served at this location ALWAYS is fresh and tastes AMAZING. I feel like with most McDonald’s 6/10 times the food is decent. Not here. 10/10 times. I can say with confidence I have never been disappointed or felt lacking when I order from here. Probably the most important aspect of this McDonald’s- their McFlurry machine is always working. This alone would be grounds for a 5 star review because if you have been to basically any other McDonald’s, you know the chances are low for the machine to be working. It’s shocking and surprising what a consistently great experience I have at this McDonald’s, especially since it’s the Holland tunnel location! Whatever is happening here should be the standard across the entire franchise!

Stopped for the bathroom so I had to buy some something. I left the food because I dont eat that stuff but the bathroom was clean.

This one's a lot better than the one inside Newport Mall. Been coming here quite a few times since I moved to Jersey City four years ago, and they've never messed up my orders. But since it's near a gas station, sometimes the drive-thru gets really busy, and I end up waiting a long time to pick up my order. Btw missing the double Big Mac :(
As every other business in the world right now this place NEEDS HELP. we waited on drive thru almost 40 minutes can't even hold it against you guys....I myself work in the Industry and totally understand you have no staff and are doing the best you can with what you have!
All McDonald's, for the most part, are the same but I will say that the staff here is pretty dope. For whatever reason, Allen (overnight shift) is always my first point of contact in the Drive Thru window, but it's cool because he always have a good attitude about him. Maybe I just go to McDonald's too much. LoL
Located in a gas station, with drive up and walk up service only, there are no tables or inside access at all. Sunday morning slow as dirt. One of the drive-thru Lanes is being completely ignored. My hot tea with sugar was entered as coffee with two creams. There are two lines for ordering, as McD has started doing around here, but there seems to be no alternation of service. i've experienced 3 and 4 orders taken from the other line as i wait at the second speaker-box
Had to wait for my food even though others got theirs before me. Also there was a crazy homeless guy eating out of the trash and cursing at a young woman and child. Not good!
They need more people to work there. I saw like only 3 people. They try there best to be fast. But it was unsuccessful. The food was served great. Meaning almost to the point was McDonald's commercials. So thank late-night workers. I hope yall get some more help.

I ordered two 6 piece spicy nuggets bundles with my $31.77 order. Small fries were supposed to come with my nuggets. After waiting for the soggy nuggets to get what I thought was my completed order I found that my two small fries, which were on the take out receipt were not in my bag and I unfortunately already left the area. Tried calling, but of course, the phone number doesn't work. Very disappointing!
When ordering at the walk up window, expect to wait a while, even when there's no one in front of you. When ordering through drive through, expect them to get your order wrong (2 out of 3 times so far).
4:30am took so long to get pur meal at the counter. We didn’t get the order right neither. Meal was delicious though.

The wait here is entirely too long, especially late nights. They need to hire more ppl for that shift. No one comes to the pick up window, then you go to the drive thru and they say go back to thw window, especially if you do food delivery. It can be annoying.
FOLLOW UP: Received a call from and had great conversation with the Area Mgr for the location. Stated they intend to place an intercom and also post the store hours on the window. Went to walk up order window and rang the bell. Got no answer for almost 10 minutes and began to think the store was closed. I adjusted my position and saw a guy apparently serving the drive-thru. He got the attention of an AA girl who came around the corner looking annoyed and seemingly reluctant to put her phone down. I'm almost certain she wasn't doing a thing back there. She got on a rude soapbox that I should be aware that I have to wait because of the short staff and not letting me get a word in. Instead of being apologetic, pleasant, she was snappy and rude. Unnecessarily so because I wasn't upset. That being the case I didn't now trust her not spitting in my food and I declined to order and drove to Wendy's instead. Great idea on the walk-up window. Bad execution on the cust service. My suggestions 1. Retrain your staff in basic customer service or rehire better people 2. Put a speaker on the window - Staff should acknowledge the walk-up bell just like the drive thru and ask customers to wait 3. Making a window to the right so that both cust and staff can also visually acknowledge each other 4. Display your walk-up hours 5. Turn down the outside music
Usually we go here after a late night & it's pretty good. The food is fresh, but we went there tonight & we were told that it was closed! Because there was no money & they couldn't take cc either. This a 24hr walk-up. Shouldn't they be prepared for the evening?
Some lady in the drive thru window was extremely rude and shut the window on us while we were talking to her. We just wanted a few extra napkins.. why are people so stingy over napkins?!?
I always go to get an iced coffee. This past week I went 3 times and i ordered a large ice coffee with caramel. all 3 times the coffee had no caramel in it. I was not going to go back.

I am giving this a two start because the employees are nice but I was absolutely disgusted when I went through the drive through yo find RATS surrounding the building, so I left. While I did lot see any inside due to me exclusively using the drive up but they were close to the door and the drive up window, which leads me to believe they could most likely be inside. Missing items, missing items and missing dipping sauce, even some of the chicken strips dropped out of the box. Occasional mistakes? I can totally understand. But this is not the first or second time. I really wish McDonald’s employees in the US could’ve got any training, even just a little bit, before they start to work.
24 Hours is a lie. Second time I went out of my way for some McDonalds, pull up here at around 9 and get told they're close. Funny because they still work on Uber Eats and other delivery orders. Guess I'll be sticking to Wendy's for now, thanks.
Been here twice. The first time it took 25 minutes to get a large French fry at 11pm. The second time I was driving through, and sat at the window for ten minutes - nobody came to take my money, or tell me how long it would be, or ask me to pull up for the next car to go through or anything. I left and went to Burger King.

Waited outside the walk up window for over 20 mins then when it was time for me to finally place an order I am told they are closed. The manager on duty stated they closed at 4am. When hours state they are 24hrs. After I explained I been waiting for a little over 20 mins he stated not his problem and walked away
Worthless place, run by complete idiots! Can’t handle a pick up window and drive through. Music blasting outside like I was in a club at 4am, banged on window to get someone attention who was completely unhelpful. If I was the owner of this franchise I would be concerned, direct correlation to bottom line #lossofsales.
I ordered the sirloin 3rd pounder with lettuce and tomatoes and extra mayonnaise. I asked the guy at the register, "you sure you have the lettuce and tomatoes added?" He responds,"yes I got you". I waited for service 5 minutes in the walk up line when there was nobody ahead of me to begin with. Also 6 minutes after ordering, only to realize my fries weren't fully filled, my sandwhich was cold and didn't have lettuce and tomatoes!!! It's unfortunate that I realized when I'm on the ez-pass line to go through the Holland Tunnel. This McDonalds sucks because its run by a bunch of teens! Don't waste your time and money here, go to the Burger King up ahead, I've had better service and food there.
Horrible service, there is no point in having 2 drive thru lanes when there is only one person taking orders. I had to yell several times so that someone could respond and take my order. There was only one other car before me on the other lane. Food also took long. If traffic is heavy to get to the tunnel, this will only delay you even further to get anywhere!
My fellow broskies personally I am sick and tired of McDonalds getting my orders wrong and many more reasons. Here I will list one of those reasons, for some reason the McDonald’s employee grabbed my money and shoved it down his throat, at this point I was nervous and in shock. He then offered me hairy baby helicopter leg pics for $35 dollars. I went to file a complaint to the manager but she quickly replied with an unsatisfactory response such as, “Its not a big deal he’s just doing his job”. I went to another McDonald’s and they were talking to me about there “ undercover business”. They were secretly taking lewd pictures of customers via cameras placed by the checkout machine. Zero chance I’m ever coming here again!

Horrible service ... ordered online because of my past experiences of them taking forever... get to the window and still have to wait 15 mins for my food. Not to mention the times I arrive they are sometimes closed but state 24 hours ...most of the time they have the online order option off
Everytime i go to this mcdonald’s, i always have problems. The first time i went, they doused my coffee with sugar and i kept getting mouthfuls of sugar even though i didn’t request it. It also took 20 minutes. Every time after i went, they gave me the wrong coffee order. I would not recommend going to this specific mcdonald’s, but mcdonald’s as a whole is still enjoyable. People who say this Mcdonalds is 5 stars are lying, look at how many people who put one star, do NOT GO HERE!
I've tried going to this 24 hour McDonald's about 6 times ever since it opened. 2 of those times was about 1 month after it opened. After that, forget it even exists, because they are apparently always "closed", "having system issues", or "we don't have that item". This place is nothing but a hangout for sarcastic, lazy teenagers at night. Don't expect to get any service or food after 12am. This location is a waste of space, and shouldn't even bother with trying to be 24 hours.
Terrible service. They delay in everything, pickup Uber eats delivery. The staff is very lazy and inefficient. They’re always running out of something or the other. Worst store of McDonalds in this area. The staff should be replaced ASAP. 0 stars for this one.

Decided to order two mc chickens with NO MAYO ! And the guy put no lettuce. After I said No Mayo!?! Why would you put no lettuce . Then we get our sandwiches and they’re full of Mayo. I stood by the window and no one came up to ask what was wrong and I had to beep the horn. Someone came up and I told them I said no Mayo and it has mayo. The guy takes the sandwich and tells the kitchen in Spanish saying supposedly there’s Mayo in there. Like if we were lying bout it. We got our sandwiches back all messy with lettuce falling out of the sandwich . Since this location is by the Holland Tunnel since there’s alot traffic. they feel as they though they can treat you or your food like trash. We will be coming back soon we actually do food reviews and we will be back with our camera crew .
After a long day moving we stopped there just for a quick late night snack. First, a guy tells us that walk through window is closed and that we must go through drive through. So, with a trailer attached to our car we turn around, reach the window hear the guy say “can I take your order” and then complete silence. A moment later a ladies voice comes out of the speaker “We are closed.” Really? 24hour McDonald’s? And AFTER LITERALLY making us turn around with a uhaul trailer, like wow just wow.
Brought my mobile order all the way to the restaurant, but couldn’t complete it until someone at the window could check in my order number. Waited 10 minutes before someone came to the counter to address me and tell me that drive-thru orders would be prioritized over my order even though I had already waited through at least 3 cars coming through the drive-thru. Tried to ask if it would be a 10-15 min wait, etc, but no clear answer. Just cancelled my order as it was obvious I wasn’t going to get served anytime soon. It’s clear this place is understaffed with only two people working during peak dinner time hours.
This is the worst McDonald's in history. I stopped to grab a quick bite on my way into New York city. After placing my order in the Drive-Thru and waiting in line for more than 20 minutes to even get to the payment window I just had to jump the line and leave due to time constraints.
Laughably terrible. I ordered a large black decaf iced coffee, chicken sandwich and 10 piece nuggets with hot sauce. Person taking my order made me confirm what chicken sandwich I wanted twice. What I got: A sprite instead of coffee, she corrected this, but didn't give me decaf. A spicy chicken sandwich after I confirmed twice I wanted a regular. 10 piece nuggets with mustard, with the box open so it spilled into the bag. Literally will go out of my way to not go to this location.

I was there to buy some drinks. Really bad behavior from the cashier. It was so unprofessional.
The cashier on Sunday Oct. 27th a 8:52. Short African American girl attitude was horrible. You have a sign up about hiring smiling faces. She was not inviting at all. Maybe she needs to do a training or not be in this line of work. Customer service is important and she is a disgrace to your company I will return and hopefully she is better or even better not here.
While it may seem convenient, this location has tons of issues. The staff never seem to actually be working the few times I've been to this drive-thru. They're always seem to be out of most of the menu unless its just the items I want. There is always issues with the credit/debit systems. And to top it off, the walk-up window was out of order the one time I went to use it...I didn't even know that was possible. This McDonald's is a waste of space and basically just a hub for lazy teen workers to collect an effortless paycheck. Lucky them I guess.
Staff what rude and I just ask for hot water and they charge me $2 (its ok) and I ask them to could you put hot water in my coffee mug and they answer is “no, we are not dunkin d” and they close windows to my face and then laught eachother to customer who ask them kindly. You dont deserve better job while you dont want help to someone.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I’ve been here 3 times and same thing everytime. Didn’t even get half my order. Food was poorly put together and cooked. Food was also really cold. Food was NOT. Even cooked. The chicken nuggets were not even McDonald’s chicken nuggets. The people who work here at rude and very unprofessional. I would never in a million years get food from here again. Pure trash made by trash.
Clearly the staff's time is much more valuble than any other customers. After waiting in drive through for over 20 mintues and nobody took our order, the HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL staff ORDERED us to go to another line and wait for another 20 min without saying sorry at all. You will find this spot paradise if you like to be treated like moron.
Went for a breakfast sandwich at 6:30AM at the drive through--you know, prime northeastern breakfast time, where you can expect to be in and out in a few minutes. Took ten minutes to get the food and I was the only drive through customer. A single worker was running around while taking a personal call, laughing on her phone and navigating around opened boxes scattered on the floor. I don't do micky-d's very often, but this was by far the worst managed franchise I've seen, and it seems to reflect in the reviews that I wish I saw before I arrived. I thought they're all supposed to be the same experience country-wide?
Too bad I can not give less than 1 star. Went there for coffee and hash browns on a Sunday morning. They did not have any decaf coffee. Then I wanted a hot mocha and was there was none. When I paid, I asked if I could have syrup and was told they did not have any. How can you not have syrup for breakfast? Asked to speak to a manager and was told none was on shift. Asked for the worker's name who was rude to me and she refused to give me her name. No one had name tags and they were not friendly. Will never go there again.
I pass by the drive thru and got a BigMC family pack and couple of more sandwiches when I got home as my son was eating one of the bigmc's notice the mold in the bun. I tried to call the number displayed in the website and keeps saying invalid. I'd never buy again from this place. Hopefully we don't get sick.
The retailers at this location are super rude and ghetto. You need to train your employee properly and train how to talk to customers. I’ve been waiting for 15 minutes to order and they were nobody to attend. They were 4 other people waiting to order. We all decide to leave. A young man came because a Uber driver was ringing the and told him to stop ringing and slammed the window on us. This is not the first time here. This need upper management attention.
The people that run this place must have issues because this is the second time I've come to this place and they just haven't been staffed and don't take any orders with no indication that they are closed. We had 5-6 cars waiting in line at a drive through and there was no indication that they weren't closed except a poorly taped sign on one of the drive through windows. This is apparently frequent for this location. Best of all, there is usually someone inside just ignoring everything. Get a competent manager and handle your staff.
Literally the worst customer service I've gotten. Walked up to order and they said they weren't taking orders from the front that I would have to walk through the drive through. Then after waiting in the drive through for half an hour while cars in front of me just gave up and left. I stood their not to be answered as I talked to the mic for another 10 minutes. Then I walked to the first window where you pay and asked the attendant if I could order here and she said no that I'll have to order at the walk in and I said politely after already being frustrated at wasting 45 minutes that "I was directed by an employee to walk through the drive through because the walk in was closed" she said oh sorry the where wrong I can't serve you here. So I proceeded back to the front for them to tell me to walk through the drive through again. 1. Don't tell people to walk through the drive through if you are not going to serve them. 2. Put a closed sign if you are not taken orders at the walk in. 3. If a customer is ready to place their order and you are not ready tell them something. Don't have them talking to a mic with no response. 4. Have employee's give consistent information.
THE CHICKEN SANDWICH i ORDER HAD SOUR BITTER TASTE
I ordered just cup of coffee when it wasn’t even busy and was waiting 20 minutes for just cup of coffee. And after I found out that cup wasn’t closed properly. My car was all in coffee after that. Great service, it looks like the employees are forced to be there. I think that is only reason why they smile a lot (it was sarcasm!)
Literally the worst McDonald's I've ever been to in my life. I brought a gift card and was told there was no money. I checked and there was. O rang the bell 4 times and waited 15 minutes only to be ignored. This is the second time I have rang that bell and been ignored for 10 plus minutes before walking away. Uber eat saying estimated delivery time at 12:10 and this fantastic team is still preparing foods at 12:40. I can only say this sounds like a scam to me when I just want to have a late night snack.

Omg, this has to be the absolute worst McDonalds that I've ever been to. There's a window with a bell. You will stand there ringing the bell for up to 20min and no one even acknowledges you. The worst part about it is it always looks completely empty. When I step to the side and look into the window that shows the entire store I never see any employees at all. It always looks completely vacant. Everyone goes back to relentlessly ringing the bell and finally after a while someone will show up and listen to 1 customer only to then disappear all over again. I don't understand how and why this place is still even open?! Every time I pick up a delivery order from there I'm always on the verge of cancelling the order and just going home. I can't stand this place. Save your energy and time, go somewhere where there are actual employees there and where u don't have to wait around for 30 minutes to just be able to say one sentence to the worker before the window gets shut fast and hard in ur face again. 😮💨🤦♀️. Never again will I accept any orders from that God forsaken establishment. 🙊😆🤬
This mcdonald’s is supposed to be 24 h. I always order some breakfast fridays and they always put a note saying “The store is currently close and we gonna open again at 6:45 am. Happy holidays!” Ok so why the manager or Owner change the open hours availability. Also the manager Elicerth is a complete mess. She always got an attitude. She think she can argue and make absurd comments about it. I mean We “The customers” are always right no matter what! Like or not in a bussines situation, it works like that!
I ordered multiple items, but one of the burgers was missing, and the large fries were only half full. On top of that, they didn’t give me any sauces at all. Really poor service — very frustrating.
Absolutely disaster. I ordered for delivery using the mc Donald’s app and it was a disaster. They brought an incorrect order. I called them asking to rectify this and they only offered me a refund which will be available in 10 days. They had me more than 15 minutes talking over the phone. A completely nightmare.
I didn't ask for much, I ordered fries and they handed me the driest fries on earth! It was a drive through order. I had to reverse and wave for them to open the window, the lady who handed me the food gave me a dirty look and refused to open the window! I literally had to say, I want fresh fries! She was like no, these are fresh! I said I understand you are having a bad day, there is no need to take it out on me! Can I please get some fresh fries! I waited for 5 minutes to finally ger fresh fries that hasn't been sitting there for days! Never going back!

Everything here is slow. The service, the food, even the workers. Expect to wait >20mins regardless of how small your order is. They even get the orders wrong and add stuff that shouldn’t be in the sandwiches like I ordered a egg and cheese muffin but they still put a sausage in it🤢one time they just completely forgot hash browns and another time I was just straight up not served and told to request a refund after walking to the store in the rain. Save yourself the hassle and go across the road! U have wingstop taco bell Wendy’s all within a couple hundred feet- this store is buns and their food is nasty, always served under temp or sometimes even stale.
I’m here at like 7:20 am. McDonald’s says it’s open 24/7 but the staff says they are open at 7:30. Food is done by 8am.
I waited on the driveway for an hour, almost two hour. Please do not go to this mcdonald.After midnight you will regret it. If batter just go anywhere far, don't have to wait for an hour or two hour Just to be served. Also the food came cold.
Terrible employees I watched 3 people pull off in the drive through because of them and then when me and my man tried to order this Hispanic employee goes “what do you want” yeah we left right away and went to the taco bell across the street😂🤏🏽
This is disgusting, there was a feather on the big mac. I gave it to my daught and she the one that found it lucky we didnt even leave the premises. When i went to report it the cooks in the back was making jokes saying "that for them to see we make it with real chicken. This is disgrace. I want someone to really look into this McDonalds. This was uncalled for.
Me and my family arrived at our hotel and wanted breakfast. We went to this McDonald’s where the service was exceptional however the food was not. A hour after eating my stomach started to hurt I felt nauseous and had uncontrollable gas and diarrhea. I would never eat here again. I’m not sure if the food was handled improperly or if the employees decided not to wash their hands but this McDonald’s I do not recommend
They don’t let you use their restroom even though you buy something from them , such a bad experience for a big franchise like McDonald
This used to be the best McDonald’s in the area. Not sure what happened but quality and service came downhill in the last 18 months. We’ve given it many chances thinking it would get better but we’re done. Not worth it, def do not recommend
First employee forgot the salsa for my burritos so had to drive back…now I’m puking my guts up from food poisoning from the undercooked burritos. Young Spanish kid didn’t give me my receipt either so I can’t call and complain. Stay away! Been going here for years and has just gone downhill with these new employees who don’t pay attention and don’t care like the young Spanish fella with wavy hair.
The unprofessionalism here, which has been mentioned by many other customers, is an absolute truth. Apparently the food preparation guy doesn’t like being told that he’s not doing what he’s required to do when preparing the food! I have restated having extra ingredients on the burgers and other items that I’ve ordered. The problem is that sometimes it happens, and other times it doesn’t happen. What definitely happens is that McDonald’s gets paid no matter what! A couple of days ago, however, the food preparation guy came to the window himself to forcefully state to me that he did what I know he didn’t do. To the food preparation guy: IT’S YOUR DAMN JOB TO MAKE THE FOOD THE WAY THAT THE CUSTOMER WANTS IT! PLAIN AND SIMPLE! DON’ T COME TO THE WINDOW AND GET AN ATTITUDE; TRYING TO CONVINCE SOMEONE THAT YOU DID THE THING THAT YOU DIDN’T DO! GROW UP! McDonald’s needs to reevaluate hiring this food preparation guy and hire someone else who is more professional. Here’s the reality check for McDonald’s: The customers are spending their money and should always get the food the way they want it! This cannot be to hard to understand.
Dear McDonald’s Management, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a recent experience at your Jersey City location at 197 12th St, Jersey City, NJ 07310. On [12-8-2024], I placed order #1639, which included: • 1 Large Sprite • 2 Spicy McCrispy sandwiches • 1 McChicken Upon reviewing my order, I found that I had received only one Spicy McCrispy sandwich instead of the two I had ordered. When I raised this issue with a staff member, I was met with an unprofessional response, as they insisted everything had been correctly packed. This is not the first time I have encountered similar issues at this location. On previous visits, I have experienced and observed rude behavior from staff, including the manager, who has displayed an unprofessional attitude. I kindly request that you address this matter by reviewing your staff’s training on customer service and ensuring orders are handled with care. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
