Was looking for a dog friendly spot, and this place popped up. I'm glad it did. Food and service were amazing. I had the Stuffed chicken, as well as the lemon poppyseed cheesecake, and my grandma had the fish n chips. Everything was great! They were accommodating of my pup and brought him out some water as soon as we sat down. Recommend for sure.

A Denton classic! I've been here 3 separate times and had different dishes every time and it has never disappointed! My wife has allergy issues with gluten/soy and they were very sensitive and helped her find a good dish that fit her needs. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed the vibe, color, and atmosphere of the restaurant. I'm vegan, and I ordered the Bella sandwich (they assured me they wouldn’t use butter in my dish). First time here, I'm not from Texas but Alabama so this is more of a tourist review. Very easy to get to as far as directions, they were very nice and seated us as soon as we got in. The waitress was very sweet and honest about her opinion on drinks and food. I got stuffed chicken with chipotle mashed potatoes, the meal was delicious and well cooked. The ladies I was with all enjoyed their meals as well. The prices per meal are around 11-15$. They do have Chocolate Tres Leches for dessert, I ordered it and they give you a very generous amount. It was delicious, tasted like chocolate tiramisu. I would definitely visit here again if I come back to Denton! EDIT: Also, they played David Bowie at one point, which definitely deserves a high rating for good music taste 😊

Perfect place for our Valentine’s Day dinner! Wasn’t super loud, beautiful establishment, smelled AMAZING the second we walked in! Alex was our waitress and did a fantastic job in taking care of anything and everything we needed. She made sure our drinks were never empty, our food was exactly how we wanted it, and continuously checked in to ensure we were having a good time. Food was A+ quality and worth every penny. Truly appreciate such a magical experience on a special day.

We’ve visited Greenhouse several times, and every visit has been amazing—but our most recent experience was truly exceptional, thanks to Nathan, the best server we’ve ever had. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful—not just doing a job, but clearly a kind human being through his demeanor. When he found out it was our daughter’s birthday, he surprised her with a dessert and even sang to her, which made her night! He also caught a small error with one of my husband’s sides (that we didn’t even plan to address as it wasn't a big deal) and immediately corrected it without us asking. It’s rare to receive that level of care and attention. Nathan truly made our visit unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back!

We’ve been going once a week for 20 years. It’s where we had our 1st date, so we had our wedding reception there. They did an amazing job hosting our party and did a great job helping us make it a memorable event that we still talk about. The staff is wonderful, the food is great, and there’s great vegetarian and pescatarian options. Many of the waitstaff, bartenders, and managers have been there for years and always remember us and say hello while we’re there. Definitely one of the best places to eat in Denton.

Had a pleasant conference dinner gathering here four nights ago. I was in from New York, though originally from the Florida panhandle and was looking forward to some good local cuisine. I was not disappointed with my fine steak and sides. Also enjoyed a delicious Good, Bad and Ugly cocktail, though I picked it completely based on the name/film association and cannot tell you what was in it. Most pleasant part of my entire stay in the Denton area. Thank you!

This is the first healthy options other dishes that I found on Google in Denton! Delicious pesto chicken gnocchi and bruschetta! Definitely somewhere I’d go after I finish class at UNT!

Eating here was a wonderful experience. We sat at the bar and we had the bruschetta, the stuffed avocado, and the pistachio pesto gnocchi with salmon. Everything was fantastic, but the stuffed avocado really stole the show! I would go back just for that. It was creamy, salty, crispy, overall just a well-balanced fantastic dish. I also don't normally like gnocchi, but I almost finished all of it. That salmon on top was also fantastic, so flaky and flavorful! The drinks were great too. Side note, The Kroger parking lot deathmatch is a perfect name for that drink. I really felt that I was ready to have a death match in a Kroger parking lot. Whoever picked that name did an impeccable job and needs a raise yesterday.

We hosted a rehearsal dinner here at GreenHouse Restaurant, and we are so happy that we did! They were excellent to work with and they made it all so easy for us to do. We reserved a room all to ourselves and had 46 people attend. Many of the guests made sure to let us know how much they enjoyed the food and drinks (we had an open bar), the service, and the atmosphere, too! It truly was a wonderful evening that we absolutely enjoyed. We highly recommend GreenHouse for your next large event!

I am in love with this restaurant! They have gourmet top quality unique food you can’t find just anywhere! Every dish they make is delicious and bursting with flavor! The ambiance and decor is so elegant also! Perfect to take the whole family and even better for date nights! The outdoor patio is so elegant and fun to sit at! Especially in the spring and summer! They have a huge extensive drink menu! Every cocktail I have ever gotten has been delicious! Again all of their food is amazing! But my personal favorites are their honey salmon, their ahi tuna, and their stuffed chicken! The wait staff and customer service is always top notch and amazing as well! I also love that even though the Greenhouse is a super popular restaurant there is usually never a very long wait time either!

We have been coming to Greenhouse for the longest time. It's a genuine Denton institution. I especially love sitting in the booths in the bar area where it feels so cozy. A friend and I went there for lunch today and she was really delighted with her huge salad (it was beautiful!). As a plant-based person, I am so grateful for the plant-based options, including their amazing tamales that come with a lovely heaping of fresh guac. Cole helped us out today and was just fantastic. He clearly has a great grasp of how to manage food for the vegans and made me feel entirely confident in his understanding of the menu and how vegans can successfully navigate it. He was cheerful and leveled up the entire experience. I expect my friend and I will make a habit of lunch at the Greenhouse. Great ambiance, terrific food, and reliably personable service.

We have eaten here twice and really enjoyed the experience both times. On our first trip I got a chicken sandwich with avocado and a mango salsa. That was delicious! This time I did a cup of tomato soup, a salad, and a side of fries. For the second time, the food was good and so was the service. I was surprised to see that they also offer brisket tacos from the nearby Juicy Pig BBQ restaurant.

My friends took me out for my birthday. I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance. Madison, our waitress, recommended the Brave Combo Burger. It was juicy with the perfect amount of spiciness. It's refreshing to dine at a restaurant with employees that describe the food with delight and intrigue.

Really cool atmosphere, it feels farmyard with lush greenery while also holding onto chill vibes. The bruschetta was a small share but made worth it with the amazing pesto, light, herby, with garlic and oil that didn't take over the flavor of the bread and tomatoes. I got the burger with brie and bacon, it was cooked to medium and had great flavor. Brie tends to over power everything so I took some off but I really enjoyed it. $3 mimosas also were great, they come in 4 flavors. Go check it out for the vibes.

My family and I came here on December 16 for sisters graduation party. Very beautiful building, very homey feel and vibe. Our server, I think Allie with glasses and bangs, she was phenomenal is handling all of our questions and her patience. I had the Thai Me Up Sour and it was so flavorful and good, my meal was the salmon with Mac and Brussels sprouts. Everything was amazing, from the Appitzers (artichoke dip and brushetta) to our meals to when we left. When i visit town i will be back for sure.

Greenhouse restaurant is always great for a variety and selection and clean tasting food. Not the usual commercial taste that you find in most restaurants. We've been here from everything such as steaks to vegan food and our bellies have been happy! You cannot go wrong going to Greenhouse

This place is amazing. The staff were all very attentive and nice. The atmosphere was lovely and chill, the food and drinks were 12/10 delicious. About half their menu is in the $10-$15 range and the other half is more expensive in the $20-$25 range, but it's well worth it because the flavors and quality are above and beyond. I can't wait to come back!

I have driven by this place dozens of times since moving to Denton and finally stopped in today. It has a serious, "Denton Vibe." It would be a great place to grab a drink - with perfect appetizers after work. The fish and chips were cooked perfectly and offered a jalapeño tartar sauce for a nice Texas touch. I will be back.

We had the most perfect date night tonight, service was amazing (Chris) and food was just WOW! We had spinach dip as an appetizer and fish n chips (the chili tarter sauce and truffle fries was what sold me omg) and my husband had the steak with Mac and Brussels sprouts, we’re bringing our family here during the holidays because it was so good!

Absolutely lovely meal. The food was delicious! Our party of 4 all enjoyed our food and were members of the clean plate club! The steak was fabulous and so was the taco salad. There was plenty of outdoor dining, which is so nice in the covid-19 world we live in. The staff was super nice and accommodating-- and the decor was really cool! The drinks were phenominal (chambord, cointreau, etc.) My wife got the honey chipolte salmon, broccolini with mashed potatoes and she enjoyed it. The green chimcharri sauce on the redfish wasn't for me. The sauce was easily taken off without disturbing the flavor. The food here is always good here and they change up the menu/seasoning now so that you can try something different.

Just went for Valentine's lunch with girlfriends. They pushed tables together for us and our server was awesome. Great food and relaxing atmosphere. They did not rush us out we sat and talked,had dessert and coffee on a rainy Saturday. Tiramisu was the best I've ever had.

Our waiter was really great. Super helpful with our one guest with allergy concerns. Food was amazing. Caught happy hour and the all appetizers were five dollars each. Boy did we take advantage of that. Chipotle honey salmon was tender and moist. The fish and chips were simply wonderful, with plenty of different condiments. We will be back. I’ve been coming here nearly every week since I was a freshman in college (graduated now). I didn’t even go today but I was thinking about how much I love this restaurant and decided it’s time I review it. The food is AMAZING!! I guarantee you 100% you won’t find better spinach and artichoke dip anywhere on the planet. The menu is extremely diverse and not a single thing on it tastes bad. The drinks from the bar are lovely and the bartenders and staff are always kind. To top it off, the atmosphere is excellent. It’s rustic, plants everywhere, a fish tank with cute little fat fish, a lovely patio, etc. If you’re looking for somewhere to treat yourself to dinner, get up and go to Greenhouse.

I dropped in to grab lunch and I'm so happy I picked this spot on this beautiful day. The menu has a lot of flavorful choices, including some healthy entrees and side swaps. The interior and exterior is very cute. Service is always consistent and the staff is friendly. They have daily specials so definitely check those out. This time we ordered the pistachio hummus with tortilla chips (a favorite of ours.) My husband got the honey Chipotle salmon and I got the black bean tamales. I am dairy-free so it was nice that I was able to customize the black bean tamales to fit my dietary needs. They have lots of vegetarian and vegan options and they can alter a meal to meet your restrictions. Overall, our meal was delicious and you really can’t go wrong with the other items on the menu. Week nights aren’t typically crowded, but I have made reservations on weekends and for Valentine’s Day just to be safe.

Beautiful, rustic, earthly, and yummy restaurant in the heart of Denton. The pistachio hummus was phenomenal. We went right at 6:00 p.m. and had zero wait time. By the time we left the restaurant got full. They have a really cute and nice patio with gorgeous tables.

Can not rave enough, this place exceeded expectation! Was a functioning greenhouse for decades & then was beautifully remodeled into this amazing restaurant, while still keeping its plant charm! (Bonus: all the plants I saw were thriving, green & happy! Perfect vibes) & The patio tables are cleverly made from the oak tree that had lived out front for years before falling! Thank you Cole for the cool history tidbits and being such a pleasure! The food was genuinely amazing and I can’t wait to come back! 🌱🪴

It was tender and moist while still being cooked thoroughly. I will be back if for nothing else but the salmon. They had several options to for different dietary needs as well. I got a cocktail but it was not my favorite, but that's no fault of the bartender, I am just picky with cocktails. It was good enough to finish though. I also got the cheesecake and it was very smooth and creamy with the right lil tang to it that it should have.

I heard that Denton is a great restaurant, so I came here. The salmon is seasoned with honey, and the New Yorker steak is medium rare, almost well done. We didn't like the seasoning this time

Extremely cute place to eat! I loved the ambiance and decor. It smells so good just stepping in the parking lot. The service was good and enjoyed the atmosphere. I ordered the pesto gnocchi with smoked salmon. The smoked salmon was pretty good! The gnocchi was kinda flavorless but also i did not go with the recommendations either. I think everything on the menu sounded delicious, so i wouldnt be surprised if another dish changed my mind to 5 stars for the food. The prices in the meantime seem to stretch a bit far from their value.

First time trying this place. I was impressed by the spicy jalapeño hamburger I got. (I couldn’t find the name online) Was absolutely delicious and spicy even for me & I love spicy food. The drinks where delicious and the place was clean. I would highly recommend and would go back again.

I went with a couple of friends and we got set on the inside. We requested to move outside and they come at us very speedily. It did take a while for our order to be taken, although it did seem like the server was busy but also in no rush. When the food did come out, everything was right and they were able to accommodate substitutions that were asked. The Bella Mushroom sandwich was delicious, and the truffle fries were bomb and crispy. The brussel sprouts seem to be seasoned weird, they have a really peculiar aftertaste that isn't too appetizing.

Our waitress struck the perfect balance of attentiveness: available when needed but never intrusive. She gave us excellent recommendations when we were torn on what to order. Pictured are two of our entrées: Honey Chipotle Salmon – This was the table favorite. The salmon was glazed with a rich honey chipotle sauce and served alongside jack cheese mashed potatoes and broccolini. The dish was clean, flavorful, and well balanced — the richness of the potatoes was offset beautifully by the glaze. I could honestly put that glaze on anything. 😂 Stuffed Chicken – Filled with poblano pesto and jack cheese, this chicken dish was topped with a creamy poblano pesto sauce and served over the same jack cheese mashed potatoes. While tasty, it felt like it was missing something — maybe a pop of acidity or a marinade to liven up the chicken. Still enjoyable, just not quite as memorable as the salmon. Overall, we had a fantastic dinner. The wine was great, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a quiet Friday night out. I’m sure we’ll be back sooner rather than later.

Always enjoy the food at The Greenhouse- great options and even better taste! Never leave hungry. Very reasonably priced. Ate out on the patio to enjoy the beautiful weather. Love the Bella Burger- always a great choice with the sweet potato fries. Full bar and good wine choices- The service could have been more pleasant- maybe an off day- not bad service- just not pleasant.

Located a little north of the square in Denton, TX, The GreenHouse restaurant offers up a variety of options for dining, from steaks & chicken to salads, tacos, and several interesting burgers. It's a nice space, roomy, yet cozy with warm woods in the decor, a large bar area, and outdoor seating available. Service was decent enough, and the entrees were entirely passable ; we ordered the pork, which was OK but a bit on the dry side (a sauce would help) and the stuffed chicken, a generous sized piece of fried cluck with a creamy, cheesy filling and a jalapeno cream sauce on the side. It's worth a look, and we'll definitely give it another try when in the area.

The ambiance is nice and the food is good (a bit overpriced) but service was poor/slow at best. I had to wander around the restaurant to get a water refill for the table. Food took seemingly forever. Waiter essentially disappeared after we ordered. Third time we’ve tried this place with a similar experience each time. Strike three - you’re out.

*based solely off my experience and opinion on one visit ** Decided to try while visiting Denton for the day. Had great reviews and It wasn’t horrible but I wouldn’t visit again. I sat at the bar and should have moved because it just felt so dark and dreary. Enjoyed some house wine but it wasn’t very fresh tasting. There were several items in the menu that sounded great and the server even made some recommendations. I went with the stuffed chicken and it was just so woody and chewy that I could get through more than a couple bites. The flavors were good but think I would have preferred dark meat chicken over the chicken breast, or a smaller breast to avoid the “woody” stringy tough texture. Cheesy potato side was good. I really wanted to like this place but it just wasn’t there that day.

I was sat by a lady and then ignored by 2 or 3 servers for 20 to 30 minutes before someone asked if i had been helped (hadnt even had my drink order taken) and then they asked if i sat my self. I would never do that. Ever. Lady that helped me kingley did an amazing job and was probably one if not the only nice person there. Absolute sweetheart.

We had the 10 Oz NY Strip and the Blackened Redfish. Our entire meals were extremely greasy. The steak had no seasoning and seemed to be smoked instead of grilled. The chimichurri was good but probably the best thing on the plate. The food left a lot to be desired and was fairly disappointing. I’m not sure we will be back.

I’ve been going to Greenhouse since I moved to Denton and it’s sad to see how far it has fallen. Credit where credit is due the service was fantastic, our server was extremely kind and attentive and all around a joy to have serving us. The food on the other hand left a lot to be desired. The brochette felt overpriced and uninspired. My wife ordered the salmon burger, and I a steak. It should be noted there were no issues with the salmon burger and my wife did enjoy it, however I ordered my steak medium and it came severely undercooked. Mind you I do not mind my steak being closer to medium rare or even rare for that matter, but this was rather ridiculous. One side of the steak was rare while the other was blue. There was no crust to the steak. The sides that came with my dish were good, and I did not mention the issue with my steak to our waiter so I’m going to assume the issue would have been fixed, however this was still sad to see especially on a Saturday night. I’ve loved coming to greenhouse in the past and will likely continue coming after some time, and hope this is not a regular issue.

Great place, but I had to drop two stars for a very concerning reason. This business offers discounts for nearly every group you can think of—students, teachers, company employees—yet not a single discount for military members. As a veteran, I found this not just disappointing, but deeply unfair and frankly alarming. It says a lot when a place can recognize everyone except the people who served. This absolutely needs to be addressed.

We got the spinach artichoke dip for an app and it had no flavor at all. We got the chicken fried steak and the stuffed chicken both with parm mashed potatoes and none of it was seasoned. The only thing that had any amount of flavor was the sauce on the stuffed chicken. Not sure what happened tonight, but the food was not seasoned at all. Its a nice place with great atmosphere and an excellent staff.

I got the blackened redfish and a side of the bacon Mac and cheese. The menu said the fish would be topped with a “grapefruit-chili chimichurri” — I wish the chimichurri had more chili and was fresher. Also wish the fish had more blackened seasoning and salt. The fish was also pretty oily, I’m not sure if from the chimichurri or just from cooking it. The Brussel sprouts were good though. The Mac and cheese was really disappointing. The cheese was a bit runny and didn’t evenly cover the noodles, not much flavor either. We also got a brave combo burger but it definitely wasn’t spicy even though it was supposed to have a “jalapeño aioli” and roasted jalapeños — nothing brave about it. We were asked how we’d like the burger cooked, requested medium, and received a completely well done burger. I’ve driven past the restaurant and always thought it looked cute, the exterior is really inviting. When seated, I noticed some liquid on top of our table, I just assumed it was water and had no problem wiping it up with my napkin. Then I started noticing something dripping and it was liquid from the AC vent above our table so that was a bit annoying.

My husband and I had come in and we waited at the host spot for 15 minutes. No one acknowledged us the entire time. Multiple waitresses made eye contact while they were standing in a circle giggling amongst themselves. I’m all for talking to each other and having fun at work, work shouldn’t be miserable. But the fact that none of them thought to go get a host… The smell of the restaurant was making my stomach turn from the second we walked in. It smelled like rotten fish. We ended up giving up and eating somewhere else

Visited recently for the first time in a decade. Service was slow. Food was average at best. Blackened redfish was not fresh. And compared to other local restaurants that serve better food, it’s pricey. It is a good place to have a quiet conversation, though.

Seems like this place only has a couple loved items on the menu such as the salmon. I got the chicken fried steak both times of come and each time it was far below subpar. We got the fish and chips and couldn’t bear getting through. The chances of us ever coming back is slim to none.

I ate dinner at the Greenhouse restaurant last night. We were seated in the bar area. It was very dark. I ordered a Corona to drink. I was told they didn’t have any left. My daughter ordered shrimp tacos. She was told they did not have them. I ended up ordering the grilled chicken. It came with corn that appeared to be from a can with seasoning on it. The beans looked disgusting. I couldn’t eat the chicken as it was hard and tasteless. I asked the waitress to take it off my bill because the food was inedible. The waitress was very nice and offered to bring me something else but I said no. It was really disappointing as I rarely spend time with my daughter and we were both looking forward to having a nice dinner together. I won’t go back to Greenhouse.

I got recommended GreenHouse Restaurant from a friend. I would rate it 2 out of 5 stars. I ordered the fish and chips and tried the appetizers that a friend ordered. The prices are a little higher than usual, about $18+ per plate but the food is delicious. The ambience inside is nice and elegant but my experience with the customer service on the other hand was not the best. I left a 20% tip and noticed my bank account was charged $2.00 more. It's not a lot of money, but I decided to call the restaurant. I was understanding of the situation, mistakes happen when taking orders but I was hung up on twice. If the staff and manager would have provided better customer service I'd rate them a 4/5 due to the bad customer services. I'd give GreenHouse Restaurant a 1.5/5 stars.

Came here for the first (and last) time with a relatively large party. We waited about half an hour before our orders were even taken and nearly an hour more for our food to arrive. I ordered the avocado tacos since that seemed to be the only vegan-friendly option within my price range, and the tiny cup of salsa that came with my meal was definitely not made in-house. My food was cold (like it had been sitting for a while), bland, underwhelming, not filling, and not worth what I paid. I personally wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially vegans.

Our server was great however the food was not. I ordered the fish and chips. It was flavorless and very greasy. My mom ordered the chicken fried steak and was unable to eat it because of how greasy it was. She ended up sending it back for a different entree. The best tasting item was the mashed potatoes.

The lady at the desk is awesome. The server was cool. The food was not good . They under cooked my steak and over cooked the pork loin. The vegetables were burnt to much . I wish it could have been better . Paid 85.00 for food that was not good . I just wish it was better . To top is off it wasn't even grilled it is a flat top .
