Every aspect of our dining experience was 10/10! I’ll be dreaming about the Komodo Ramen and Bayou Tower. Our server Victoria was spectacular. Can’t wait to return.
Wonderful food every time. I've enjoyed everything ive tried so far. I've never actually eaten inside but I have ordered for delivery several times since I work down the road and it always hits the spot!
I came late to the party there so I had to box up most of my food to go but I thought it was a very Asian fusion atmosphere. The Asian food variety that they had as far as fusion was full of things I'd never had before and the traditional Asian food is delicious as well.
Lauren was incredible! So attentive and all of the other staff were so helpful even the people who just dropped our food by asked if we needed anything. The vibes were sexy and food and cocktails were incredible.
The food is consistently delicious! If you have not been here, you should check it out for yourself. They have something for everyone. We love everything about this place. Food, Drinks, Atmosphere and the service is awesome as well.
i’ve been here before, but i heard that the happy hour here is really good. both a great deal for the price and portions. brianna was our server and she did a great job of making us feel welcome and taken care of. she answered all of our questions about drinks and menu items. make sure to get the miso soup! it’s so good it’ll blow your mind and it has a CRAZY unexpected ingredient. 🧜♀️ this has been the happiest hour of the year! make sure to come here if you have a spare hour between 4-6 on weekdays
Komodo Loco is my favorite! Best happy hour in town - feels like a steal! Worth every penny at full price and we always leave satisfied! We love the bartenders, staff and make it a point to bring friends and family here when they’re in town! Also great for special occasions 🤗 Shout out to the Krispy Rice Bites! I used to be basic and only ordered RAMEN or FRIED RICE bowls!! ((They’re so good)) but I’ve ventured out and everything I try here - I love! My only complaint is I can’t eat it ALL 😎
I went to this place for the first time today and let me tell you, I am AMAZED. The menu is amazing and contains so many wonderful options. It was a little overwhelming at first but luckily I had an EXCELLENT server. Her name was Lauren and she helped me navigate through a large menu with a perfect menu item. She even served sake and informed me of the best way to get luck from your sake. I can’t imagine a better place to go to in Denton to have an excellent experience with sushi, fusion, or Asian cuisine. Please cease your hesitation and dine here IMMEDIATELY.
This place was amazing, keep in mind that its a bit pricey! The vibes are great, drinks were delicious, plenty of sake options, cool ice cream sandwiches, attentive and friendly staff. It’s best if you treat this place like a tapas bar, go with a group of friends that like sharing food and order just a bunch of things and try them all out, you won’t be disappointed! My favorite was the komodo tower and the nigiris. My favorite appetizer was the Fun Guys but the fried duck was also very well received by my group. 10/10, will definitely come back.
If Komodo Loco were a person, it’d be that effortlessly cool friend who always smells amazing, never shows up with drama, and somehow knows exactly what drink you need before you do. Walking in feels like stepping into a secret society of good taste and better cocktails—and yes, I am a proud member. This place never misses. Whether it’s date night, friend catch-up, or a “treat yourself because adulting is hard” kind of evening, Komodo Loco shows up and shows out. The atmosphere? Relaxed but stylish, like your favorite hoodie got invited to a rooftop party and suddenly turned chic. The staff? Angels. Chill, attentive, and somehow always one step ahead. You won’t be side-eyeing a forgotten water refill here—Komodo Loco runs like a well-oiled, very delicious machine. Let’s talk food: chef’s kiss, chef’s scream, chef’s dramatic spin in slow motion. Every dish has that rare balance of artistry and flavor. Whether you’re a picky eater or a plate-swapper, it’s giving main character cuisine. You’ll want to savor every bite and aggressively recommend it to your group chat. And the cocktails? Whew. The bartenders here are mixology wizards. Each drink is a handcrafted masterpiece—balanced, bold, and begging to be posted on Instagram with a clever caption. They don’t pour drinks, they perform spells. 🍣 Pros Food That Slaps, Sizzles, and Stuns: Not a weak dish in sight. Every bite is a power move. Bartender Sorcery: These drinks have layers, honey. Layers. The Vibe Is Right: Perfect mix of cool, calm, and “wow I feel hot here.” Staff You Want to Befriend: Kind, attentive, and clearly vibing with the place they work. Location Goals: Right in the heart of Denton’s fun zone. Eat, drink, explore, repeat. Date Night Perfection: It’s romantic without trying too hard. 10/10 would flirt here. 🙃 Cons Small Space, Big Energy: It gets packed, so bring patience or a reservation. Price Tag Drama: Not outrageous, but not budget brunch either. Your wallet will feel it. Volume Up: Sometimes it gets loud enough to yell over your cocktail. Crowd Control Needed: Weekends can be a frenzy—get in early or get comfy waiting. Parking Purgatory: You might have to circle a bit unless you’re parking-lucky. Final Verdict: Komodo Loco isn’t just a place—it’s a whole mood. It serves flavor, style, and energy with zero apologies. Yeah, it’s popular. Yeah, it can get crowded. But the second you take that first bite or sip, you’ll understand why. It’s not just dining—it’s an event.
I ordered the salmon sashimi. The place is a bit pricey, but really where isn't right now? The sashimi was so delicious, and I took the egg from my friend's ramen. It was also absolutely to die for. The atmosphere on this place was unmatched, and I absolutely could have spent hours talking with my friends here.
My wife and I dined here last night (on Black Friday). We loved everything about this cozy, hip pan-Asian joint. Although we didn't have reservations, they sat us immediately. For a starter, we chowed down on the Ninja Totchos, which comes with pickled jalapeño and red onion, chimichurri, and Korean bbq sauce. For entrees, my wife got the smoked tofu maki rolls, and I got the Southern Smoke Ramen. This particular ramen comes with pulled pork, which I prefer, instead of chashu. We will have to return soon to dine on the back patio!
This place is so good to me. Denton is so lucky to have this restaurant my partner and I come here for date nights. And we also always get the menu on the tables items or see what’s “secret menu”. 10/10 experience everytime and food is so tasty. I love the variety if you’ve got a friend who isn’t too into sushi. There is ramen and bao buns and sashimi. It’s just a plethora of delicious meals. Worth every penny.
Don’t be deceived by the humble exterior, or the casual atmosphere, this restaurant is a gem! With their special “Asian food with a Latin flare”, Komodo Loco offers full flavors that surpass most of their peers. If you’re starting with an appetizer, you’ll find it difficult to choose just one – and I couldn’t, so we had the Loco Eggrolls and the Dragon Eggs. Both are delicious, and while I enjoyed the Eggrolls, the Eggs have such a great combination of flavors, I could eat a whole tray of them! The entrees were definitely the stars of the meal, as my family selected Yo’s Poke Tostadas, the Bayou Tower, and a build-your-own Poke Bowl which was gluten-free. I had to go with a special, which I’m told is soon to be added to the regular menu – a Fried Noodle Bowl topped with your choice of proteins. Again, I couldn’t choose just one, so I selected the Steak and Pork Belly. Both meats were outstanding, but I have to give the winning nod to the steak. It was tender, flavorful, juicy with a rich grilled taste. I couldn’t go back and not get this again! For dessert, 3 of us chose the Joy Macaron Ice Cream Sando (this of a Oreo Ice Cream Sandwich in size, but the cookie is macaron, and they have four flavors to choose from), a very satisfying finish, and our 4th ordered the Tempura Sopapilla Cheesecake. This is everything it sounds like. It’s New York-Mexican-Asian and the Texas State Fair together on your plate. If you’re a fan of any of those things, this is a must! Topping the delicious food, the service was excellent. Friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. Overall, a great place for dinner not far from the square in Denton.
This restaurant is a very mixed bag. On one hand, the service is fantastic, the drinks are great, and the atmosphere is amazing. The food itself is either amazing or not. There are not a lot of descriptions as to what an item is. I had the Bluefin Tuna Crudo and this was more soup than anything else. I was anticipating something very different.
Food was the best part, made it slightly worth it the first time. The second time I made reservations and then altered them the day of, and then proceeded to wait an hour for our food. I ended up asking for it to go, didnt expect to stay for a 2 hr dinner.
Have eaten here many times and the food is very good. Went last night with a date and we were seated immediately, but our server never came to the table. There was a server at the table next to us who repeatedly checked on that table and stood there for long periods of time conversing with the table, so I'm not sure how we were overlooked. After 15 or so mintues we decided to have dinner somewhere else. Very disappointing guys. Please speak with your staff.
(This was an Uber Eats delivery) If I could give zero stars I would, how ridiculous is this portion size for literally $20….this is a bite size of food. I could go to I Love Sushi and get this same “tuna tower” for relatively same price, but lower. This is genuinely pathetic and I’ll never be going back for the amount of money to food ratio. Additionally my boyfriends ramen came in a literal cup….barely any broth compared to the noodles. Which again, we could go to Hanabi for cheaper, same quality and more food….
So we came out for my friends birthday and the place is beautiful! The Service was so terrible! I had like 5 different servers, we got our food before the drinks, they gave all of was water except 1, i asked for a fork and 30 minutes later i got a spoon! Our server never came and checked back on us or gave us refills on water. Paris the drink runner was the absolute best! She took good care of us and made sure we got the right drinks! I’m am very sad about my horrible experience because it so beautiful in here and it was my friends 30th birthday and it wasn’t a good experience at all.
The manager, Kyle was a pompous, rude individual who decided to argue with me about food and try to throw his servers out under the bus instead of accommodate(wasn’t expecting food comp)us as customers. We stated that the food was lackluster, and instead of apologizing or offering anything, he decided to make an excuse that his “head chef was out for the week“ And that “it’s usually the servers I have to get onto not the kitchen” and then decided to sit at our table for an additional five minutes arguing with us about our food choice orders. As someone who works in the food, service industry, and someone who has also been in management, I would never argue with my guests about the dishes that they ordered instead I would apologize and ask what we can do to improve in the future and not come up with excuses as to why they’ve never had any issues in the past when I heard three other tables beside us complaining about the food as well. For my first visit there I will never be going back, extremely disappointed. Lauren, our server was extremely personable likable and a wonderful job so there’s no fault to her.
