O que dizem os clientes de Bar Centrale
Bar Centrale, also known as Verde's, is praised for great service and flavorful food, especially the salsa. The bacon-wrapped quail, fish tacos, and enchiladas are popular. It's family-friendly with a play area, but can get loud during large parties.

Definitely gourmet Mexican style food..Delicious flavors. The pork chop was massive! We loved the dining atmosphere and service experience was excellent! Young waiters were very polite in introducing themseves. One was in training. :)
Chipotle honey double boned pork chop is delicious and my new favorite dish! Sweet potatoes are a great flavor and texture to complement the pork chop. Green beans are good but a little on the cold side. Excited to go back.
We had a wonderful experience at Verde's Mexican Restaurant. I don't leave many reviews but felt compelled to because we all had such a good experience. I ordered the Carne Asada - steak, served with a rich mushroom sauce that was especially delicious. It paired perfectly with the draft hazy IPA. Our server, Connor, was very attentive and made sure everything came out promptly and smoothly. Everyone at the table really enjoyed their meals. The decor adds a lot to the experience. The restaurant features interesting, seemingly original artwork that gives it a unique feel. Combined with the pleasant ambience, it made for an excellent evening. Highly recommend for both the food and the atmosphere.
This review is long overdue. We are local to the area and LOVE coming to dine at Verde's. Food never disappoints, I love that their menu has options like Pork Chops, Steaks or even Bacon Wrapped Quail. Everything you order is tasty and well presented. Service was really good too, very friendly and attentive. I would give them more stars if I could.
Verdes just catered my birthday party. Their team did a fantastic job. I recommend them very highly. Our place looked better than when they left than when they arrived. The food was excellent as well.
Great food and awesome service. It was our first time at the restaurant and we loved it. The salsa is amazing and has the perfect kick to it. We had the Enchiladas and the sauces were really good. Also liked that they gave us the option to take the remaining salsa home. Along with a bag of chips. Appreciate the no food wastage effort.
We arrived before the dinner rush and received wonderful service! The food was good. I had the fajitas. The portion was generous, and I had to take the rest home in a container. We all had the horchata to drink, which was good. There is a nice play area for families with kids, which is a bonus!
Small business need your help. I implore you to help where you can. This place has been on point every time we eat here. It is open for #takeout! #Fish #tacos, salsa, green beans grilled tomatoes and my favorite dish: #mesquite grilled #bacon wrapped stuffed #quail. Yes, they do; better than anyone. Everything about this place is satisfying, and now I can say that about their takeout service. I didn't even have to leave the car! Let's help this place stay in business, and thriving! #Austin Texas, Hamilton pool road.
Great service, great food. Nice play area for the kids while you wait. Good happy hour prices and selection. The salsa was really good. The beef tostadas were really tasty. As well as the fish tacos and beef enchilada although I thought it was a little small. Overall great flavor and the Mexican martini was a hit. If back in the area again will stop again.
Had Wedding Rehearsal Dinner in the back open area. Very loud because they had other large parties. Also there was a mix up on orders with other Large parties. People ate 20 minutes before others. Servers were courteous but things weren’t very organized for our party. This was put together months ahead of time. So it wasn’t a matter of short notice in order to be prepared.
Nice decor and friendly, prompt service though at close to 1pm it wasn't crowded. The margaritas were okay. The food was plentiful and tasty though not over the top. Those looking for vegetarian options will find many. Nice area outside is you were there with kids. We'd likely go again if in the area.
Stopped by Verde’s for dinner this past Saturday. We decided to dine at the bar, as the STL Cardinals game was just starting on the TV behind the bar!!! Met Brandon working behind the bar, who turned out to be one of the owners, and originally from my home state of MO, and also a HUGE Cardinals fan! His Cardinals baseball cap was a giveaway! LOL It felt like it was going to be a good night… and it was! We started with complimentary chips and salsa, which was delicious: super crispy corn tortilla chips, lightly salted, and a very fresh, salsa with just the right amount of heat. We ordered a couple of appetizers, the ceviche and the calabaza cakes. The ceviche was super fresh, and the fried flour tortilla chips served alongside made a good pairing. The liquid wasabi drizzled beneath the chips was a bit of a surprise, but, alongside the mango drizzle, it was good. The calabaza cakes are spaghetti squash and stewed chicken atop a poblano cream sauce. A tasty and delicious combination, and the cream sauce was sublime! For entrees, we enjoyed the fish tacos and shrimp moho dishes. The ingredients in both dishes were super fresh, freshly prepared, and seasonings were on point. Simply put, both entrées were outstanding! We tried several margaritas during our meal, and we would have to say that the Skinny Holly was our favorite. We were too full to even think about dessert, so we will have to save that for next time. Ending the evening on an incredibly high note, Brandon allowed us to take an empty bottle of one of our favorite tequilas served at the restaurant, Clase Azul Reposado. Excellent tequila, in a hand-painted pottery bottle. I can also vouch for the Verde’s grilling seasoning sold at the bar. I used it the following night at home, and it is outstanding… Great people, great food! We’ll definitely be back!!! I do need to apologize for some of the photos included with this review; as noted above, there was a Cardinals' baseball game on, so I did not get pictures of some of the dishes until they were partially eaten! LOL Update December 2023 Verde's delivers quality Tex-Mex food. Another good meal enjoyed recently... the complimentary chips and salsa are da bomb! Light crisp chips, and the salsa tastes like it just came out of the garden... super fresh ingredients! We had a couple of the "Lime in the Coconut" cocktails, reminiscent of a pina colada, but better, and not too sweet. Very good. For food, we settled on the pollo flautas (chicken flautas) and the fish tacos. Both were very good, and the flautas were some of the best we've ever had. The tacos were stuffed full of fish and fresh veggies. We sat at the bar this visit, and the bartender was super-busy, so not much time to visit. Recommend Verde's for good Tex-Mex in the Dripping Springs area.
After visiting friends in the area, on our way out we stopped for dinner (5pm). We were greeted immediately upon entering and seated right away. Our waiter was friendly and patiently answered menu questions and gave suggestions. We happen to be there during happy hour with $5 House Margheritas which we ordered and enjoyed. I ordered nachos ($3 off during happy hour and other appetizers) with chicken added and my husband ordered Verde chicken. It did take a while for the food to come; however, I already had an idea it would take a while as a little kid across from us asked his parents why their food was taking so long. The wait didn't bother me as I enjoyed my drink and conversation with my husband. When the waiter brought out the nachos I was surprised by the size as well as our neighboring table. There was an abundance of every ingredient on the plate. I enjoyed my nachos and my husband enjoyed his meal. He said it was really good. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and would stop there again when in the area as the food, service and friendly staff won me over.
Fine TexMex place. Didn't like some of the sides that came with the steak but the steak was good. The enchiladas were a little dry. Good price mostly, but queso and quac were over 10 bucks for small bowls. Have a big outdoor space for kids, but not anything special in terms of anything else.
I’m new to Austin. I’ve been told by multiple people that I’ve got to eat at Verde’s, “it’s the best” they say. Yeah, it’s definitely not the best. The food was good, not great. We had fajitas, for $25 you got a small chicken breast on top of grilled onions and bell peppers and half a plate of street corn. Same set up on the steak fajitas. The flavor on both were good, chicken was tender and moist—which is good! The chips and salsa were below average—chips looked and tasted store bought. Salsa was salty—and you’re reading a post from a guy that likes his salt! Service was average and they weren’t very busy. I’m sure I’ll be back, but it won’t be my first choice.
Everything we tried was remarkably unappetizing. My son’s cheese quesadilla was charred on one side and barely cooked on the other and the fries were covered in black pepper. I ordered steak fajitas that came with the side of rice and a scoop of dehydrated refried beans that were almost certainly were left over from last night’s catering or an all you can eat buffet. I’m talking hardened into the shape of a cafeteria scooper and fully crusted over. I’d call them a refried bean fritter. Or biscuit? Ironically, they were still the most palatable aspect of my dish. Everything on the fajita pan was overly salted and peppered and oily and the corn tortillas were microwaved to chewy, leathered oblivion. Admittedly, I requested new tortillas that were less nuked and as we were leaving I noticed a neighboring table was served standard, creamy refried beans so maybe fresh food is better, but our meal was all around bad.
Big parking lot directly in front, so no worries there. A lot of seating as we arrived around 1230pm. Waiter came quickly with chips, salsa, and water. Was quick on taking order as well. Food came out at a good pace, but a little slow came time to pay. I've never need to Mexico, so my authenticity baseline came from California. My understanding burrito is an American thing, but I love my burritos! However this place doesn't have it... 😞 plates came out looking okay, I've never seen or had white sauce before, tasted okay, but not memorable. The owner/manager was friendly, came by our table and chatted with us for a bit. Unfortunately, this is not a place I would come back...
Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. The food was terrible and lacked flavor, and the service was just as bad. We even asked to speak with the manager, but the situation did not improve at all. Overall, nothing was handled properly, and I would not return to this restaurant.
