Cannot imagine rating The Shack poorly. Where do you think you are, the Waldorf?? Skilled bartenders pouring great drinks (rocket fuels with the actual correct ingredients, unlike other establishments on the island!) Fun environment with live music on the weekend. Just steps from the beach too! Nothing better on a hot beach day!

Oceanside establishment in Atlantique is an oasis for bike riders and town hall for all the summer residents of Atlantique. Top notch hospitality and live music make a great place on fire island.

Only stopped for 2 adult drinks which were good. BUT WAY Overpriced at $23 for a Zippy and Montauk summer ale. However it's fire island and we are on vacation. So it's was fun to find this lonely shack to stop at. Very very beachy and exactly what you want on Fire Island!!

Typical bar food. Live music. Nice ambiance. Yummh drinks. A bit pricey for what it is, in my opinion. Almost always crowded.

We were told from friends that this restaurant was quaint and vibrant, but we all felt it was kind of average. The food was okay, would compare it to a quick stop shop restaurant, nothing special. Drinks were good though! The live music was nice as well.

Great little place we stumbled upon while riding bikes. Stopped in for a drink on a really hot day. Beer was cold, service was very good and place has a real beachy vibe, unlike some other bars on the Island. Great place to take a break from the heat. Will def be back on the next trip to FI.

Won't be back!! Expensive drinks, poor seating, average bar food.. teenagers as staff..need adults and please clean up the area..

If you just want drinks, this place is great. Their food however is revolting.

Just mid. Everything is overpriced and it’s nothing special even for the 12 dollars you’d pay for a drink. But then again what can you ask for on fire island?

Worst Pina Colada I think I’ve ever had, the rocket fuel is okay but it’s not what real rocket fuel is meant to be, they should specify its tiki rocket fuel. Things are so expensive here but it’s Fire Island after all.
