Been coming here for years. The best homemade veggie patties are served here. Your mouth and stomach will want more of this healthy yummy sandwich. The photos shown are what we had. My husband and I shared a super nut burger with extra sauce. They do charge for extras like more sauce or pickles. Great fresh juice and smoothies here. Hot and cold food options. This place is a gem and has been serving the community for years. If you want healthy but yummy come here. Always the same good food at reasonable prices and big enough to share.

Okay, it's a drive-in. This is not a knock to the establishment. Their food is The shining Star as any restaurant should be. The fare is vegan and vegetarian and the food is really good. I had the avocado and cheese sandwich the others have nutty tacos. For the most part we are not vegetarian. But it's still nice to get a healthy meal without meat. They've been in business for 45 years and the reason for that I'm sure is the quality of the food. Just so you know they are closed on Monday.

I recently visited Sunflower Drive-In in Sacramento and had the opportunity to try their famous Nut Burger. I have been here once before years ago and had my 1st vegan grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was really good. When I came the first time the staff were very warm, welcoming, helpful, and friendly. There were people that drove up from as far as Half Moon Bay and they were regulars. They tried to sell me on the nut tacos but, I had already placed my order. I hadn't been back until now simply because life got in the way. Covid-19 happened after I went and I hadn't thought about it for a while. Lately I've been eating more plant based and a little pescaterian on occasion so I remembered. Sunflower Drive In... 🤗

I’m not a vegetarian, but I really enjoyed this place. Nut burger is really tasty. It’s hearty and fresh at the same time. I didn’t feel greasy or gross afterwards like I typically do with traditional beef burgers. The blackberry yogurt scoop is super good. Delicious. We’ll return. Limited parking and limited seating. Nice giant wooden table inside. Be prepared to wait a bit (we waited 10 minutes at 11:30am on a Wednesday). It’s worth it.

If I could I would give 10/5 to this place. they have the most most delicious, scrumptious, mouth watering, finger licking nut burgers. You should definitely try this. I can’t stress enough on how yummy the nut burger is but you should be prepared to wait as it is always crowded but definitely worth the wait.

Literally my favorite place in Sacramento. Great spot for vegetarian/vegan food. Very flavorful and good portions for cheap. Tried to get something different every day when I was there, and every item was excellent. I’ve been here a few times, and it’s always busy. Although the place is small, they have a good menu with plenty of options. The prices are on the higher side, as is common for places serving vegetarian food. Be prepared to wait a long time for your meal, and sometimes there’s no seating available. During the summer, with high temperatures, I’d recommend being ready for some sun exposure while you wait.

Gave it a 4, seems way too overhyped for me and did not exceed my expectations, but for what it is, its really good. Got the nut burger and mushroom mellit. Mushroom had more flavor than the nut burger. Maybe next time will try the patty melt and nut tacos. Overall still satisfied and still would recommend this place to anybody. If anybody is ever in atlanta and love vegan food, try slutty vegan, their burgers in my opinion are still the best vegan burger Ive had so far. Sunflower came close.

First-time experience. There were plenty of vegan options along with gluten-free options. There are a lot of options, from sandwiches to salads. There were plenty of options for smoothies. I decided on the nachos that were delicious. Just needed a little more chips. The egg salad sandwich was delicious. The seating area is very small but you can enjoy outdoor seating.

I’ve been a loyal customer at this location for years and have always had great experiences, but unfortunately, the customer service has recently declined. On my last visit, I ordered a #6 smoothie but received a #10. When I politely asked to swap it for the correct item, the staff refused and were quite dismissive. I’m disappointed to see this shift in attitude and hope management can address this so the service returns to the high standard I’m used to.

I really want to like the place but I had a horrible first time experience. I ordered a burrito to go, planning to eat it in my car at my next errand. The burrito tasted great but it was so messy. When I opened the wrap it didnt even look like they tried to make a burrito. It looked like a giant taco with a lot of the insides spilled out. If they had warned me and given me a fork It could have gone well. But instead I tried to eat it as a taco because I really didnt want to waste my money and now my favorite shirt from an event from out of state has bean juice stained on it. Thanks. If u order the burrito, make sure you have a fork and lots of napkins. And be prepared to eat it like a bowl. I would have happily taken less inside the burrito to have it actually closed as a burrito. Since I didnt get to eat half the insides anyway due to it be spilled everywhere. Probably won't try here again for a while.

WHAT A WEIRD EXPERIENCE. I love this place and used to come here with grandma,, family, and all my out-of-town and in-town friends. This place is ICONIC for any Sacramentonian... but HOW FREAKING WEIRD. Did it change ownership? I know their popularity will not be impacted by this review, so writing it is probably more for my own processing than anything else. This is one of my favorite Sacramento spots and I have lived here nearly all my life. Now I feel ICKY and WEIRD about it. Husband and I ordered super nut burgers and banana nut shakes. On the FIRST SIP of my shake, I felt my tooth hit HARD against something that wasn't edible. A shell? I really thought I'd chipped my tooth. It was alarming enough that I wasn't sure I wanted to sip again. My husband also found hard bits of hard, inedible matter (again - guessing SHELL?) in his shake. This had never happened before. We are both pretty awkward people that DO NOT like to ruffle feathers or inconvenience others. I wasn't sure I even wanted to say anything. Thankfully, my husband - with both shakes only one sip less from when we got them - let her know what had happened. AND, THEN, WHAT? She served up the banana shake replacements and REPRIMANDED us! "I won't replace this next time...I just had one of these last night and it was fine... maybe your teeth are too soft" WHAT A WEIRD AND MEAN WAY to respond. They didn't even investigate the shakes themselves. Sunflower employee, you really made us feel bad and just WEIRD about the SUNFLOWER. And for what?
