⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Unreal Experience at The Copper Spoon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment my group grabbed seats at the bar, I knew this place was something special, but I had no idea it was about to become one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. First off, the bartender deserves a standing ovation. I asked for a custom drink, not even on the menu, and what I got was pure liquid perfection. Balanced, creative, and made with obvious passion. It felt like having a personal mixologist crafting a signature cocktail just for me. Then came the food… and wow. The ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection, tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was better than the last. You can tell this kitchen takes real pride in what they put on the plate. And just when I thought it couldn’t get better… dessert. The cheesecake was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. Rich, smooth, and indulgent without being overwhelming. A perfect ending to an incredible meal. But honestly? As amazing as the food was, the service was even better. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure we had an outstanding experience. We never felt rushed, never felt ignored, just completely taken care of. Great drinks. Incredible food. Next-level service. The Copper Spoon isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience. If you’re thinking about going… stop thinking and just go. You won’t regret it. 🔥🍽️🥂
I think I’ve found a new favorite in the Fort. Last night we braved the weather and finally tried Copper Spoon after hearing so many great things. It lived up to the hype and then some. The whipped feta alone was worth the visit. Warm baguette, creamy cheese, nuts, basil oil, and roasted red peppers. Outstanding. My wife went with the stout braised beef over creamy polenta, which felt like comfort food elevated to another level. I took our server’s advice and ordered the Wood Farms ribeye, and I’m glad I did. Perfectly cooked, rich black garlic bordelaise, and fantastic sides. Easily my new favorite steak dish in town. We finished with a subtle pomegranate crème brûlée that was the perfect ending. Great food, impeccable service, beautiful space, and an owner who took time to chat with us. Can’t believe we waited this long to come here. Only a few photos because I was too busy enjoying the food and the company, but here they are.
Came for my mother’s birthday, first time at Copper Spoon and certainly will not be the last time. Food was top notch, cocktails were top notch, service was top notch. We were not rushed, we were allowed to enjoy our meals and each other’s company. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and the 100 cocktails to choose from. I had the pork chop mom had the salmon, my pork chop was perfect and mom said that was the best salmon she ever had. Can’t wait to come back for my birthday. New favorite restaurant in Fort Wayne has been unlocked.
We were so Impressed by the whole night from start to finish. Our server Kate was above a 10 with knowledge and suggestions. We could feel her passion for the food. We were greeted with smiles and we left us wanting to come back.
Absolutely an incredible experience here first time at the copper spoon and definitely won’t be the last! We stopped in after dinner for some cocktails and dessert, and all of our drinks were exceptional and the service was fantastic. Since we are visiting from out of town, our waiter gave us a card with all the best food and drink spots that the locals frequent which was kind.
Celebrated my wife’s birthday here. Waitress was top notch and knew the food and drink menu inside and out and was very attentive. Menu is straightforward but the dishes are all excellent (few dishes done well is much better than many dishes done poorly in my opinion). You can also tell there is a lot of passion that has gone into developing the drink menu. One of our favorite spots in Fort Wayne; we will be back!
Have been here quite a few times and as you will notice when you experience it yourself; it is no mistake why it is one of the top restaurants in the Fort Wayne area! Service is ALWAYS excellent! Incredible knowledge of drink and food menu so that you can be sure to find what you like. All the food on the menu is prepared with care and of the best quality. They always have fun new cocktail creations to try as well! Atmosphere is warm and cozy, upscale perfect for a date night or entertaining your friends from out of town.
Our second visit was even better than the first. Katelin is a very knowlegable, attentive server. She was friendly and full of suggestions. The food and coxktails were excellent and interesting. If you want to try something a little different, there are excellent options. The whipped feta is creamy and delicious, definitely excellent for sharing.
Third or 4th time here over the past few years. Always walked away feeling like this is one of our favorite restaurants anywhere and tonight was maybe the best. Everything was exceptional from the service to the cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.
GO GO GO! What a great find! Delicious Farm to Table food with an amazing selection of cocktails and fun. I travel a lot. Too much really. So I done out all over the world. And we all know it’s hard to pick that one spot from a review that says…”let’s go”. Well… Go here. Dined here two nights of a week long trip and enjoyed both to the fullest. Crafty cock tails and super fresh food. Fun hip yet classic atmosphere and more. Food is local from less than 200 miles away.
Extensive drink and wine list. It would be difficult not finding something you didn't like. The Korean wings were so good (chef's kiss). Coming back for those alone. Hubby and I both ordered the New York strip steak. Was also very good. Finished with the strawberry pavlova. Very good dessert. Light but sweet. Will be back for sure. Update: still a wonderful restaurant. Totally different desserts now but I still highly recommend. And the wings are still amazing.
First time visit. Atmosphere was great, food was amazing and service was exceptional.
Excellent restaurant. Mixed drinks were great, appetizers and mains were delicious as well. The whipped feta was absolutely amazing. Our server Noah made our visit and if we are ever in Fort Wayne again I would visit. The only comment I have overall is the portions are VERY large and made it difficult to eat all our food.
This Copper Spoon offers an enchanting modern-rustic ambience.. memorable dining experience. The artfully presented dishes are prepared with the utmost attention to detail while leaving you craving for more. The exceptional service elevates the dining experience, ensuring a wonderful evening from start to finish. Each course incorporated fresh, high-quality ingredients. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking an outstanding fine dining experience in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Highly recommend. Was impressed that this restaurant existed in Ft Wayne. Extensive drink menu focusing on mixology, with some unique drinks I’ve never had before. All food was well prepared and well presented. Right next to the baseball stadium, so go if you want the excitement or avoid if you don’t like the extra noise. Outdoor seating is right next to the stadium.
Good food! Relaxing dinner! Awesome choices! Friendly staff!
The Cooper Spoon is always a great experience. I really enjoy their large horseshoe bar and watching the bartenders craft cocktails. Their menu both for food and drinks is updated seasonally. The servers are friendly and always have suggestions and are great at answering questions. It can be dark in the bar, but it makes for a great atmosphere.
This was my first time going to Copper Spoon. It was absolutely phenomenal and delicious. The lighting and seating arrangements were very elegant. The bar was also very impressive! For drinks, I ordered the Gold Rush drink and my wife got the Eastside. Both were super smooth and refreshing. For food, we started out with the Korean barbecue wings with sesame seeds and scallions. They were so good that we did not want to stop eating them…unfortunately, we ran out of them. Ha. I ordered the New York strip steak, and every bite was heavenly. My wife ordered the ceviche, and she crushed it! In summary, the freshness of the food and drinks, the details of the restaurant and serving, the taste of everything we consumed, and the all around amazing experience = an absolute must try place!
After a tiring drive from Toronto, the restaurant/bar was a welcome respite. We should have gotten our barman's name as he was wonderful, knowledgeable about the extensive whiskey list, and an expert at cocktail making. We really loved the atmosphere, particularly around the bar, and the food we had was delicious. Thanks for making our evening!
From start to finish the Copper Spoon met and exceeded all of our expectations. We had numerous of our friends recommend that we make a reservation and ask for a booth by the bar. It did not disappoint! These booths were both intimate and cozy. Our spot specifically gave us a perfect angle allowing us to observe the barstaff as they mixed cocktails all night. We heard rave reviews on the korean bbq wing appetizer. THESE WINGS WERE THE BEST MENU ITEM WE HAD ALL NIGHT! These are a "must try" menu item if you find yourself in the area. They have the perfect taste and texture that one looks for in a wing. They have a crispy exterior coated with just the right amount of rub and glaze. On the inside the meat was hot, juicy, and tender. The perogies were recommended by our server Ricardo who took excellent care of us all night. They were tasty ,however had enough lactose in them that I had let my wife enjoy them. When we reserved our table, I noted my wife and I's food allergies. Ricardo did an awesome job remembering these and accommodating with our meal accordingly. Our drinks were all fantastic. We got an Appletini, Espresso Martini, an Eastside, and Clover Club . Each one was uniquely delicious. I would get all of them again. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Clover Club. My wife ordered the ribeye with chorizo butter and carrots. The steak was cooked to medium just as she ordered it. The steak itself had good fat content and was seasoned well. Most of the flavor came from the chorizo compound butter. It was a bold flavor combination, but the steak maintained its natural beef flavor. The carrots were cooked well and they were served with housemade ranch. My burger was very hearty. The meat and toppings were piled high enough that I ultimately resorted to using my knife and fork. The bun was soft and buttery. The egg was fried over easy. They even substituted an aged cheddar onto the burger for me. My only criticism with the burger was that it was very one dimensional with its texture. The burger would have benefited from fresh or fried onion, a fresh piece of lettuce, or even some crispy bacon to add some crunch. The side of potatoes was my second favorite part of the meal. They were prepared with great care in a way that left them crispy on the outside and soft and pillowy in the middle. The seasoning and sauce were great compliments, and I easily could have had another helping. I enjoyed the wings and potatoes so much I could have made a whole meal out of just them alone. In honor of my wife's birthday, we were offered a complimentary dessert. She chose cheesecake with an assortment of mixed berries and fresh whipped cream. I did take a small nibble of the cheesecake because it looked too good to resist. It was the perfect end to a very well rounded meal. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of our meal. However, like many other restaurants, Copper Spoon offers a seasonal rotating menu. We were informed that some of these menu items would only be served for a few more weeks before they switched to the fall themed menu. Thank you for a great experience. We can't wait to come back.
Sumptuous cocktails in a highly refined atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff and excellent food. Be prepared to spend AT LEAST $50 per person, likely more if you choose a high end entree. But, I can’t imagine leaving disappointed.
Our business group went there last night for dinner. The menu was severely reduced with only three entrees available. Anyway ordered what they had available and took advantage of the 3B Monday package. Get the Baron burger, a beer and a boost (shot) for $15. Everything was really good the drinks were good, burger was good, side items, potato were very good and we really enjoyed our time there with the mixed drinks available. If you ever make it to Ft Wayne I would suggest that you get over to this establishment. You won't be disappointed!
So this place is pretty. I loved the food selections that they were offerings. I was glad the bartender was super helpful throughout my time there. They told me what they liked abs tried before. I was glad I came because I was indeed satisfied. Fried oysters Risotto with chicken breast Margarita
Incredible food and service. Went here for Savor Fort Wayne and every dish served was an expedition on to new and interesting flavor combinations I had not thought possible. Update: After many years coming here, Copper Spoon is still my favorite restaurant in Fort Wayne by far. The atmosphere reminds me of a contemporary tavern with a rotating menu of the most inventive drinks, and the food is always an expedition of new flavors and experiences. Well done Copper Spoon, keep up the exceptional work!
We went a couple weeks ago and I've thought about the scallops ever since. They were the most flavorful, perfectly cooked scallops I've ever had! My fiance loved his chicken breast. Everything was so flavorful and our waitress was nice and checked in just at the right times! The setting is intimate.
If you enjoy an elevated cocktail and drink experience, the Copper Spoon should absolutely be a spot that you visit! Having been here before, my wife and I were excited to return. Being a Saturday evening, it was very busy. The hostesses were very kind and polite as soon as we entered and immediately got us seated. Alyssa, one of the mixologists greeted us and inquired if we had been in before, thanked us for returning, and began to highlight several of the evenings seasonal and daily offerings. Despite the extremely busy time that we were there, Alyssa patiently and enthusiastically described multiple drinks to us, what they contained, and the significance of some of the ingredients within. Just like the last time that we were here, our cocktails were equally enjoyable to look at as they were to drink. We did not have any food here this evening as we had reservations for later at a different restaurant, however we have eaten here before in that experience is equaled to their cocktail service! Again, for a Saturday evening nearly every seat in the small venue was filled causing everybody to be quite close to each other leading us to have a very pleasant conversation with the couple next to us. Wonderful experience once again here, we will certainly be back!
dinner at the copper spoon food was delicious, but the cocktail menu is to die for, I had 2 cocktails, I've always wanted to try. The vesper and the French 75, aka a new favorite. Steak was well prepared and juicy, sides were on the scant side for my entree but also very good. The desert was good but there was a lack of selection and I couldn't find something I know I would love.. so it was an adventure over all great service, good food and a cocktail menu that can't be beat
The Copper Spoon is one of my favorite Ft. Wayne restaurants. Whiskey Wednesdays are amazing. We love everything on the menu, pictured in this review is the steak tar tar. One of my favorites! The charcuterie platter is A++++. I also highly recommend The Baron, the whipped feta, and the strawberry pavlova dessert.
Every experience I’ve had here has been top notch. Excellent bartenders and happy hour is a steal.
Great experience. The staff is professionally trained and made it feel like a five-star experience. Great drinks, solid food, impressive vibe.
Had such good experience here the service was fast. The food was good and the drinks were amazing.
Staff is amazing! They all work together to give you the best experience. Food is great and drinks are beautiful and strong. Great place for date night or casual dining.
The food was exceptional. If you ever have the option to enjoy the brunch, do it and go all out. Amazing service, everything was just spot on and wonderful.
Very good place to eat! I wish the beer menu was better (They had no beer on tap), but the cocktails were very good! The food was excellent as well. Overall, the place is a good stop if you are in the area. The atmosphere here is very good as well.
Amazing place! Speakeasy style cocktails, awesome food. Oysters…so fresh, poke bowl delicious, chicken wings…crispy and spicy sweet.
First time visiting. Came with my wife for her birthday. Wasn't sure what to expect besides hearing the drink menu was extensive. Enjoyed an Old Fashion then whatever they had for a red wine. I'm no drink snob and enjoyed both. My wife tried their Christmas daiquiri and she enjoyed it as well. For food, I ordered the ribeye. Now, I would claim the title of steak snob. At first. I was a bit unsure. I had ordered it medium rare and and temp wise it was pretty dang close to that so no complaints there. What really gave me initial pause is that it was probably one of the leanest ribeye cuts I've ever been served. Gut reaction would conclude awful but I was very pleasantly surprised at how flavorful it really still was. One could almost mistake it for a Strip but it wasn't. I commented to my wife multiple times about how good it was ending up. My wife said the pork chop was good, she just didn't care for the sides that came with it. A matter of taste really. Finally, we tried the Crème brûlée (yes, I had to copy that spelling from Google) and my joke the rest of evening is we basically were given chocolate pudding cup from Wal-Mart with a burned top. Was it bad? Meh, I guess not because we ate it all but I certainly wouldn't suggest it as a desert for people to get. Overall, would love to go back again and try more from their giant drink selection and probably get that Ribeye again.
** Returned last night and it somehow got even better. The wine selection has expanded impressively. Service remains consistently excellent, attentive without hovering. The food was outstanding once again, and the cozy, intimate atmosphere still delivers that warm, melt-into-your-seat feeling. Five months later, it continues to justify its reputation as one of Fort Wayne’s gold standards. —— I love, love, love the vibe at Copper Spoon. It’s this gorgeous, cozy spot downtown that feels elegant without being pretentious. The dark wood, stone arches, tin ceilings and art give it this snug, romantic feel. The cocktail game there is next-level. The food is stellar, too. This place isn’t just talked about, it’s often called the gold standard of Fort Wayne dining. Highly recommended.
Wow, what a nice surprise. We stopped in here after a show at the theater for a drink and we were not quite expecting the cocktails to be this great. The atmosphere was on point, so was the decoration, and the bartenders really know what they are doing. This is our new favorite place when we visit fort wayne. Next time we will have to try the food as well.
Absolutely excellent! Best burger I have ever had! And the potato soup is wonderful,I can’t wait to go back. Excellent service. Did I mention how good the potato soup is! I love it. Thanks,Gary
This place is amazing! Excellent service, calm, easy going vibe. Noah was an top notch server. Excellent food, well presented. Drinks were extensive and were all top quality and they didnt skimp on the alcohol! Will definitely be back! 1/2 off whiskey bourbon, and scotch on Wed!
Great atmosphere and service, a few misses on the food The Copper Spoon has a great vibe and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. While I really enjoyed parts of the meal, there were a few things that fell short. The salad was underwhelming—just lettuce with a very light dressing, and definitely not worth the upgrade. Both steaks we ordered came out more mid-well than the requested mid-rare, though I’ll admit they were still quite tender. On the bright side, the green beans were a standout with the perfect snap, and the crème brûlée was delicious—perfectly creamy with a crisp top. All in all, it was a mostly enjoyable dinner, just with a couple of tweaks that would’ve taken it from good to great.
Menu isn't very extensive. The main room is particularly tight. Bar seems super close to booths. Narrow walking space on one side. You can tell they are considered a craft bar, and the food is just an extra benefit. Smoked old fashioned is delightful and STRONG! The food was okay. If we return, it will definitely be for drinks, not food. (There weren't many vegetarian/vegan options) Had the Whipped Feta - that was okay. I also had the patatas & aioli. The ambiance is nice.
Been here a good number of times. Really like the atmosphere. The food has been hit or miss, overall will be back. Really like the drinks though!
I've been here a few times, and it's always decent. Service for small parties is great, large parties not so much. I say this as they force a 20% tip on large parties, so incentive for good service goes out the window. This is also unfortunate as there's now a big vary in who pays the majority of the tip if their bill is higher, and that person doesn't get any better service. Food is generally excellent, although expensive. Considering the small menu, there is a huge variety of options. My most recent visit was with a group of 10. Our server did his best to keep up with our drink orders, but he was helping a bunch of other tables, which left us waiting often for new drinks. My NY strip was huge but slightly overcooked and was really tough. Season and flavor were good. GF scallops were cooked well, and pairing of carrot sauce was interesting. Would I recommend it? Definitely for half price whiskey Wed. and maybe some apps, but probably not for dinner. I'm curious as to why there are so many 4 and 5 stars with issues in the comments?
I’ve been sitting on this review for a couple weeks. The drinks were fabulous, honestly delicious. We got the wings for an appetizer and I almost wished I would’ve gotten them as an entree. They were delicious and almost addicting. My husband and I split our meals. We got the baron with the patatas. The burger was fantastic, would get again and again and again. The potatoes were okay, pretty greasy for me. We also got the ricotta gnocchi. Gnocchi was great, pillowy and soft. The spicy meatballs weren’t spicy at all but still good. I didn’t realize that Parmesan brodo meant broth, when I ordered this I figured it was a pasta dish and less like a soup. I was honestly pretty disappointed in this dish. Granted I should’ve asked or at least google’d it but I didn’t think a soup would be priced $28. All in all it was a good experience.
I stopped in to pick up a crème brûlée for my nephew about a month ago. While I have had this one before and enjoyed it, he generally likes the one from a restaurant on the Landing. I suggested that he try this one given that his previous one was, frankly, severely curdled. When I picked up the order, I did not check it and I likely should have. Arriving home and giving him this, we noticed that it was really burnt and that the entire brûlée tasted so bitter. He threw it away. I’ve attached picture of this. I contacted the restaurant and let them know. The manager on duty said that he would remove the payment from our card and to stop in at another time so that they could make it right. Given that he was so disappointed, I stopped back in before close between 9:10-9:30ish. The cashier rang me up for another crème brûlée, I paid for it, and requested a receipt from the ticket that was to be refunded. The manger brought another one out and apologized. This time, I did check the dessert and it looked exactly as it did in the past. I have attached this photo as well. 3 stars because to send out a brûlée that was as burned, in my opinion, is unacceptable and just poor service! While it was quite an inconvenience to come all the way back, I was a happy that my nephew could get an order of the quality that we have known. Fast-ford to today, I stopped in to pick up a crème brûlée today and it was again, quite different again. While it wasn’t burnt, it was messy and appeared thrown around in the container. It didn’t have the high-quality look that it has had in the past. I requested a remake of this and the lady at the front end told me that they all look this way because they scoop out of the ceramic dish. I then showed her a picture from the last time I ordered one and she said, “well, it’s not going to look that” even though this was the exact same dessert from the exact same place! I ended up just requesting a refund and went out to Bakerstreet. There seems to be quite a lack of consistency, so 2.5 stars! If you love crème brûlée like we do, maybe wager to catch Copper Spoon on a good day or just find another restaurant!
Service was outstanding. But, I feel I have to be honest and say the drinks were overpriced and if you look at the pictures, the glass was all ice and only had about half a glass of liquid. Heck, at least top it of with soda. Brussel sprouts were good but not great...again...if you want to charge top dollar for items...deliver top products. Don't feel the need to ever go back. 2 drinks total, bread with cheese, and a side of Brussel sprouts and our bill was $68
Review The restaurant is located in a central area and is great for people watching, baseball enthusiasts, and those with a thirst for whiskey. Unfortunately the outdoor area was described as “reservation only”, despite only 5 of the 12 tables being used (for the entirety of the night). So we made a reservation online while standing in the restaurant for five minutes later, and walked up the hostess to check in. To say she was less than pleased that we were looking to exploit the loophole would be an understatement. She asked us to wait another five minutes for them sanitise the table while we were served some annoying looks by the manager and hostess. Sitting down the waiter was cordial but a little busy so we had some time to look at our menu. We decided on a few drinks, a few apps, and a main course which again turned out to be overall disappointing. The drink I ordered was filled less than 1/3 of the way with drink and topped the rest of the way with shaved ice. After two sips I asked the waiter if there was a mistake because it was already empty and he asked instead if I had drank my beverage too quickly. I attempted to remain polite while he took my drink back and instead of bringing a new one and allowing me to pay for it he just took it off our bill. Our main course turned out not to be available 20 minutes after we had ordered so we had to reorder. It wasn’t too big a deal for us as the food overall wasn’t too bad. Personally I felt the cost of our dinner did not reflect the taste and amount of food. When I ultimately asked for another drink there was another awkward interaction with the waiter as he corrected me on the drink I ordered. The whole evening was just uncomfortable for the whole party and we will likely not come back. I would not recommend this place personally but have met people who had a good time so this could just be a one off.
Cool place, but $15 for a 2 oz martini is ridiculous! The food was bland and totally overpriced as well. Wouldn't recommend, wouldn't go back. My husband says it's "pretending to be pretentious". 😃
My issue is that I look really young for my age. I was taking my wife on a date and reserved a month in advance. When I arrived the door was locked. Some of the waiters looked at me and we made eye contact but didn’t open the door probably because they thought I looked too young. I had to wait on another older couple to show up just for the waiters to open the door. I had to wait outside for about 30 minutes. I was 5 minutes from missing my reservation. It was very upsetting and ruined the whole date I had planned with my wife. The food wasn’t the greatest either, but I’ll admit the service and the atmosphere was really nice. Other else than that, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
