The staff are very nice and welcoming - plus the sushi is really good and great portion for the price!
New to the area. Great service they were very attentive and ready to answer questions and help us with choosing some rolls. Food was delicious. we loved all 3 rolls we tried. Lion king, simba and a raider roll. nice art and good music!
Hands down !! Best sushi place around. Better than some of my Sushi experiences in Japan and Korea to be frank. We visit here frequently.. baked rolls are our favorite 😍 Try 'Lion king' if you need suggestion... juicy and flavorful !
We had a great dinner at Aniki's last night. We got to try the new Kimchee Ramen, which was flavorful and had a really satisfying, savory broth. We also tried the new vegetarian Shitake Mushroom Salad, which was a huge hit! It was refreshing, and the mushrooms had a wonderful texture and taste. So happy to see them adding creative new dishes to the menu alongside their already-fantastic sushi. Always a reliable spot for a great Japanese meal in Fremont!
First time here! Was planning to have pho but as I was walking to the restaurant, my partner and I decided to give this place a try instead. We got 3 different roles plus a miso soup and spicy edamame. The rolls that we had were Sophie Mango, Charlie Chaplin, and Spider Man. They were all really good but the one that stood out was Sophie Mango. The freshness of the mango mixed with the spicy of the jalapeño was delicious. Definitely will go back and trip some more good. It was very slow that day so we service was great.
I can say without hesitation that Aniki’s Sushi offers an unparalleled dining experience. From the moment I walked in, the attention to detail in the decor immediately signaled a restaurant committed to excellence. The food, to put it simply, was sublime. The quality of the fish was evident in every bite, offering a freshness and excellent flavor profile. The chefs have mastered the art of balancing flavors, textures, and presentation to create a dining experience that transcends the meal itself. To anyone seeking an authentic, high-quality sushi experience, consider your search over. Aniki’s Sushi isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a culinary revelation that you’ll want to revisit time and time again. Five stars simply don’t do it justice—I wholeheartedly recommend dining here.
Appears to be a family operated business, very friendly , clean with generous delicious food portions. We are on vacation and met up with our nephew to dine here and the staff were very kind to not rush us off after closing. Our nephew tried to eat fast to make his drive back to Sacramento. The sushi had generous slices of sushi, the begulgi entre was enough for four people!
I went here recently for the first time. I enjoyed my experinece here and would recommend it if you want sushi. I got: -fremont 5-0 -tekka maki -unagi roll -coppa mascapone -hot green tea. I really liked all the food i got but i found the unagi in the unagi roll was kind of overpowered by the cucumber and avocado, so I would probably get the unagi nigiri next time. I also got some tea and i frankly did not enjoy it at all. Overall i would recommend the place if you want sushi
Stopped by with the family last Wednesday (the 14th) for dinner. We decided to try the Kirby, Jake's Salmon, and the Chicken Ramen. The sushi rolls were decent, but honestly, the ramen was a bit of a letdown. I kind of regret not getting the Chicken Udon instead—I have a feeling that would have been the better choice. It wasn't a bad meal, but I expected a bit more from the noodles.
Went here on a Friday. Got seated right away. The table was sticky, and we had to ask the server to clean it. We ordered sashimi , jumbo Jim roll, tofu, shrimp, and vegetable tempura. All the food was really tasty and fresh except for the vegetable tempura. It was bland and the vegetables were under cook.
We were here with our friends to spend the evening. We were seated immediately as there were seats available. We ordered different sushi and sashimi and hot sake. We also ordered one grilled sushi. We enjoyed the food and the company of our friends but we were being rushed even though it was not busy and full. After multiple times they came to check if we were done we ordered another sake and still they were waiting on us to finish and leave. Finally we decided to leave and so after paying the bill we left. I'm not sure if I will go back but it was an experience.
The service and the vibe of the restaurant is very cool and my waiters were very attentive and nice! The food was okay. I got the Jumbo Jim roll, it had way too much cream cheese inside and I couldn't tell the flavor of the roll. The miso soup had no tofu and some of the seaweed was too hard to chew. I did like the complimentary crab salad.
So let me start out by saying I really loved the food from an aesthetic view. The food came out and was displayed beautifully, but the taste just wasn't great. Let's start with the rice for the chicken katsu. The rice was undercooked, which is crazy for a sushi restaurant. Super crazy. It was actually a little bit crunchy. Yikes! The chicken katsu was also overcooked and was super dry. I couldn't add enough sauce on it to overcome the taste. The unagi was great though. You just can never go wrong with unagi. I also get the "special" role. It was ok. It just didn't have as much flavor as I was expecting. Overall Aniki's is fine, but I probably won't visit it again.
This was a negative experience for me. I once walked into this restaurant at 5 PM. I had stood there for 7 minutes. I wasn’t pleased waiting to taste some of their sushi. I ordered a few sushi items. It wasn’t good… I had to stop eating and use their restroom. This comment comes from a 35 year master chef… very negative eating there. Went to one down the road near Panera Bread…
This is my go-to sushi spot. I usually dine in and always order the same thing. I recently ordered takeout and the food quality was not the same (like I said, I always order my same favorites). It seemed like they rushed in making the food. They packed 2 rolls into 1 container and only gave me 1/2 of one of the rolls (4 pieces) due to lack of space?? The spicy garlic edamame was bland. I ordered a roll with lobster on the outside and received basically a California roll with no lobster (did not look like the picture at all). Quite disappointing and not worth the money I spent on dinner. I definitely will be taking a break from eating here
Unfortunately….this will be our last time at Anikis…..we have been coming here for a few years now and since it was sold last year it has been progressively going down hill…We have been gone most of the summer at our other place and when we came in today it was completely empty….I was shocked as it was a Friday afternoon and it did not take us very long to figure out why….we ordered a few items and we had a bad start from the beginning…the crab salad appetizer breading was stale as well as the shrimp tempura and gyoza..They all came out super quick and we believe it was because they were pre cooked and that is why they tasted stale. We as well got rolls and the avocado was brown and mushy….when we were almost done…we think we figured out part of the issue…as some of the staff was going on lunch and sit in the booth behind us….they were all Latino and that shocked us as most of the old staff was Asian descent…Now I love Mexican food however I don’t think they should be cooking Asian food….the same as Asian’s should not be cooking Mexican food….I really hope they get things turned around…I would start in the kitchen and pay the money to get someone experienced in Asian/Japanese cuisine to run the kitchen….On a positive note the waitress was Asian and very pleasant…
