I was craving shrimp tacos and this place satisfied that craving. We started out with chips and salsa. The chips were warm and the salsa had just enough bite to make it perfect. We added salsa con queso but it was really just a yellow cheese sauce and left a little to be desired. There wasn't any salsa in or heat to it. It did pair nicely with my tacos. I ended up with two tacos which was more than enough to fill me up with the chips and salsa appetizer. We sat around long enough for me to make room for fried ice cream. I remember begging my mother to buy it for me when I was a kid and I was excited to see it on the menu. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my memories. I can't fault the restaurant for that because I haven't had it in such a long time. It was good- just not as good as I remembered it being. This place will be on my list the next time I visit Gatesville. There were a lot of items I would like to try from their menu and the staff was so pleasant that it negates a mild salsa con queso.

Wow, never would have guessed the food would be so good. Chip's and Salsa was on point. Even though the menu is overwhelming, the waiter was very helpful in helping us with our selection. The Beef Fajitas were amazing!! The charro beans were perfect as well. We will be back!!

Very small location I'd suggest using the drive through really. But the food was absolutely delicious. The salsa was perfect and tasted fresh, and the tacos were authentic. The staff seems kind of scattered. I had to remind them of some of my order. Another at our table didn't get there sangria. And for some reason they brought an extra dish and we ended up with a soup? But this location is fast and again the food was delicious!!

Friendly staff and quick service with good food. I love onions and cactus, so I had a plate of veggies while my husband had the sour cream enchiladas. There is a lot of seating for a small space, and tables can be rearranged for larger groups. We arrived on a Sunday right around noon and were seated immediately.

Had to cut my own carne asada for 16$ ...bagged lettuce...no cilantro and green beans? Carne asada not cut is stull not a 16$ steak. I expected tacos...not a slab of carne asada and 1 tortilla. 0/10 dissapointed and not happy. Sorry

We pulled up guy throwing out trash seen we had sheep in the truck told us we could park where one of the works had just left that an older man came out and said we couldn't park there cause he was going to clean that spot at that moment he prefers to lose a customer to clean a parking spot

Bought the queso flameado and very disappointing to get home with it to realize it’s pretty much just melted shredded cheese for $10

Be warned, there is an extra charge when ordering a children’s plate from the drive thru. This evening, I ordered a children’s plate of chicken fingers and fries along with a side of chips and queso for my son who was in the car with me. At the drive thru window when told the total for my order, I realized that it was higher than it should’ve been for the items ordered. The outside menu lists there is an extra charge for an adult ordering a child’s plate, but does not state that there is an extra charge for simply ordering it from the drive thru. I asked staff why my total was higher, and was told “our managers told us to charge $7.50 for drive thru child’s plate orders”. I asked for my receipt, and it was not given to me at the window. When the same staff member brought the food out, he did not have my receipt. I asked him “where’s my receipt? I told you at the window that I wanted it. Please go get it. Thanks.” He proceeded to go inside to get the receipt but sent another staff member out with it. When I looked over the details of the receipt, I confirmed that I was overcharged for the child’s plate. I asked to speak to a manager. The staff member then went inside. He came back out a few minutes later and said he spoke to the owners and they said this is just what they do. Charging a different price than is listed on the menu with no signage regarding the extra charge for ordering from the drive thru is an incredibly dishonest practice. I will be reporting this to the proper authorities, because at the end of the day it is not about the dollar amount but the principle of the matter.

Ate here yesterday the food was gross. There was food in the seats . 3 soft tacos, rice and beans $16.00. You can add another $3 or $4 for a drink. Ugh. The salsa tastes like it came out of a plastic jug. It definitely wasn't fresh.. Recept wasn't itemized. Its definitely a never again for us.

Worst place ever not even legit mexican food I'm from California here stationed at fort hood. To start the "salsa roja" is like watered down tomato sauce with black pepper not even a bit spicy, i ordered al pastor tacos got asada wasn't good either. I ordered queso fundido con chorizo and it was literally mozzarella cheese that wasn't even melted down. The chips and salsa was also bad the chips were stale like they were out for hours.
