Stopped here on our way to the Rio Grande Valley because we just didn’t want the same old fast food stuff. I’m really glad we made this choice. The staff was welcoming and helpful. We ordered the cheese enchiladas, quesadillas, & the cheese burger. Everything was well made, hot and delicious. I hope this place is still here when we travel again.

Best food in George West. Super friendly staff, always room to sit even if there isn't room to sit. Mostly Tex-Mex, but they will pretty much cook anything you ask. Great coffee, and super breakfast. Recently remodeled and very clean.

The fajitas were well cooked, plenty of bell peppers, onions, lettuce and tomatoes. The cheese enchiladas were delicious and they use great, quality cheese. The rice and beans are out of this world! The waitresses are nice and very attentive!

We’ve been traveling all day, and wanting some real TexMex food, we stopped here to eat, what a real treat it was, food was great, the drinks nice and cold and the atmosphere was nice and cold. Great job! Definitely will come back!!!

This was an excellent find. My parents winter in sputh Texas and they drive through George West on their way home and discovered Agave Jalisco a few years ago. They now make this their breakfast spot on the drive north. I drove them back this year and we stopped here for their fantastic breakfast. They have great coffee and the hash browns bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly. We couldn't have had a better experience. Excellent prices with prompt and friendly service, go there!

I am a masonry contractor from Eagle Pass here just for a few days. I had dinner at this restaurant and was waited on immediately and greeted with chips and salsa. Great stuff! Waiter was courteous and friendly and brought my food very fast. Food is great and place is very clean. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Great service, great food, very clean, nice people ! Me and my son were in GW for a few days hunting. Agave Jalisco was recommended by the attendant at our hotel so we ate there our first dinner. We ate out a total of four times while we were in GW and ate there all four times ! Two dinners and two breakfast. All were really good. I would recommend this restaurant.

Tortillas are delicious. Queso flameado is extremely good. I have tried then in different Mexican restaurants. The #42 plate is good for 2 to 4 people. Mixture of beef. Chicken and chorizo.

Driving through town I noticed this place and decided to give it a go. The interior was clean and nicely decorated in typical Mexican restaurant style. I asked the waitress for a recommendation and she suggested the special “Fajita Ranchera Plate”. After a short wait while enjoying complementary chips and tasty red salsa my plate arrived piping hot. This plate came with tortillas, salad, refried beans, rice, tender fajita strips soaked in a spicy sauce. Everything on the plate was delicious and filling. Service was excellent, I highly recommend this restaurant for sure. 👍

What a great place!! We were on our way to Dallas, Texas and decided to stop in this restaurant, the gentlemen cleaning right away greeted us, the waitress was very attentive and helpful. Will definatively stop there everytime we travel. The food was soooo delicious.. What a great place to eat, definatively has 5 stars for me.

I loved the food, also how friendly the service was. The only thing that they could do is make guacamole just alil bit less spicy🔥🔥. Other than that it's a great place 2 grab a bite 2 eat.

This restaurant never disappoints when it comes to any meal on the menu, the food is great! Only thing they need to work on is the drive thru. It takes way too long to get to the window, maybe make the cars that pull up to order at the window, go wait in the parking lot.

Guacamole looked great but was lacking as well as the refried beans, both were lacking something. Everything else was great. I would recommend this restaurant and will eat there again if I drive through that town again.

Well it was after church and we were hungry So we stopped and went in. So we got in and sat down. Chips and dip was there in a few mins. Our order was taking with in 5 mins may god the food was hot and fantastic. I had a rib eye for 13.00 and it was a nice rib eye it covered almost half the plate. And done the way I ordered no sending back at this table. Friendly employees fast and there when you needed them. This place is top notch in my book. I highly recommend anyone to stop in and enjoy a fantastic meal any time.

Good food and a decent menu. We eat dinner here a couple of times a month and get breakfast tacos through the drive-through on most weekends. Service is decent. They need a new speaker on the drive-through something fierce; you can't understand anything they say. I've told them many times but they still haven't fixed it.

Husband and I, after traveling all day, came here because I searched and this restaurant has good reviews regarding their food! So we arrive, get a beer each. They bring us some chips and salsa! All good! We place our order for one of their “Hot Plates” #41 with our server Cassie! We cannot eat that much anymore (65 and older), so we ALWAYS split a meal. Cassie seemed to have a problem with that for some reason. We were served our meal in a “to go box” with plastic forks. She blamed it on the cook. The ticket, which was left on the table, specifically said “Dine In”! For some reason, she had an issue with us ordering a shared meal? We have never been treated like that. We are good tippers as I was in that type of business for 12 years or so. My husband paid the tab and tipped her over 20%! A little ticked off about that because if anyone gets that tip I would have liked it to go to the cook and the younger guy that was serving the chips and cleaning tables. The food was great. We brought some home which will be enough for the two of us for lunch. Had we ordered two meals, we would have a full meal plus 1/3rd of one left. Cassie needs to be taught some customer service.

Small town family eating. Loved it here. Will be back to try more on the menu! My peers said the birias were amazing. I had cheese quesadillas. Bomb. The rice and beans had a slight tang which grew on me but was kind of off at first. All in all gotta try it passing through!

I was there for dinner on a Wednesday night and the place was wall-to-wall. Unfortunately, they were short-staffed. But the 2 servers on the floor went above and beyond to take care of everyone, and made sure I felt like I was the only customer there. I will always look forward to going back if I get the chance.

Plato Guadalajara and Gordo's Plate. Went on a Sunday around 2pm. They were a little busy but attended to us quickly. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Food was good and the corn tortillas are delicious huge and homemade. Price is what you would expect to pay at a Taqueria. A little under $40 for 2 plates and 2 sweet teas.

Poor service. Waitress never checked on us. Waited almost 25 minutes for our food. People came in after us and got their food before us. Only good thing is their charro beans. One time only visit kind of place. Not sure how this place has such high reviews because it's not worth it.

Food was fine but beer price was crazy. 9.95 for two 18 oz drafts but a 12 oz bottle was 1.75. Disappointed wasn’t told about this price gouge.

When traveling, my wife and I like to stop at each Agave Jalisco restaurant. Been to the one in Rivera, Odem and Three Rivers. This one, in Georgewest is the least favorite of all, so far. Pass-up this one and stop at the one in Three River instead. The food was not flavorful. Service was slow.

We were not asked whether we wanted to go cups or not, we were given them and charged for each cup then charged for refills, I was charged 3.50 for a small chocolate milk. $80 For 3 regular plates and drinks, 1 child plate and drink.

First time at this restaurant. The place looks new so I chose to go there for lunch. Nice atmosphere when you walk in. You seat yourself as the sign says. I sat down and a few minutes later a lady brought me chips and salsa. Set them on my table and walked away as I said thanks. Another lady came to get my drink order after another few minutes and upon returning, took my food order. Then... the wait began. Only 7 other tables and I waited for my food for a while. No sense of urgency in any person working there. May be a Family owned business as I saw a little girl grab a bowl off the bar and as a lady came along to stop her, there insued a tug of war... The little girl was not letting go. Not very professional. My food finally came out and I never saw my waitress again until I was finished eating, had pushed the plates away from me and didn't know to walk up and pay my check or give it to the waitress. The food was just as any other taqueria you have eaten at. Nothing bad but nothing special.

No different than any other Tex-Mex restaurants we've visited in the Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio metropolitan areas. Polite and respectful. Homemade tortilla chips and fresh red tomatilla sauce for dipping chips. I ordered the #38 large Chicken stocked broth tortilla soup (too much white cheese), served with a small bowl of rice, topped off with Pico de Gallo and sliced avocados. Served with a large glass of ice Agua and a lemon wedge. Hubby had the #3 Chicken Flautas, served with refried beans and qucamole salad along with a heaping tablespoon of sour cream (he prefers to use on a baked potato) with a Bebida Grande (large sweet tea) and a lemon wedge.

This was the second time my friend and I went and again service was bad and slow. The first 2 people that attended us, didn't apologize for the wait, didn't smile, weren't friendly, and didn't even tell us that they weren't our waitress. The third perdon that came to our table was friendly, smiled, but by then we were already no happy. Food was ok but due to the service I don't think we'll go back. George West has the worst and horrible customer service from any establishment. I don't know why. Probably coz it's a small town and nobody here really cares what anyone thinks which is probably why this town and 3 rivers hasn't progressed much in 14 years that I've been to Texas. 1st- ordered the large menuedo. It was literally a 10 out of 10. I dressed it up with the cut onions, cilantro and the red pepper flakes. It was super delicious. 2nd - we eat out alot and at alot of different places and cities. This was literally the worse service we have ever recieved anywhere. The waitress that took our order, came to the table with no smile, no greeting, nothing. but just "are you ready to order". A young man who brought the complimentary chips was the same. No smile, nothing, gave us a basket of chips and no salsa. After our order was delivered, the waitress never came back. I had to get up 2 different times and go up to the register and ask for a refill of tea. The tea was 3.25 × 6 of us = $19.50. For that price, you'd think they would give better service and or ask if we needed anything. If you want a great bowl of menuedo, then this is your place. If you want good service, stay away from here.

Me and my friends decided to go out to eat because we had a long day of driving around, so we come here and as soon as we walk in the door the servers were glancing around the room pointing at us and laughing. So we decided to find somewhere else to eat because I didn't see the problem with the way we looked.

THE WORST PLACE EVER My family was been harrased by two girls there, recording and telling us to fight. After that it was like we were invisible waitress never came back to the table I know we are not regulars but when you are a paying customer they should atleast keep your drinks full and your chips and salsa replenished I even set the empty cups and chip container on the edge of the table to hint to the waitress that it was empty and still no response, food was good but service totally sucked! I came for breakfast , they left me waiting for 3 HOURS. It was only my grandma and I , the waiters looked at us rolled their eyes and ignored us. I ordered a coffee and the cup was dirty. The cups and plates were all dirty and our drinks tasted like onions. One of the waiters spit on my grandma for asking for a water. Really bad service and bad food . I don’t recommend coming here.

First of all, if I could comment without any stars I would do so but anyways we asked for two tacos, and they barely had any food in them. So we asked about it and Beto said what he said about the Tacos and said we can get another one. Then his wife started arguing with me about the taco. If Elizabeth (Beto's wife) wants to be mean about it, and I'm being nice when I say "mean," then she should get her attitude fixed, and she should have better customer service especially as the co owner than to ACCUSE me of taking out the meat and complaining about it. I wonder what their tacos look like when they order for themselves! She says they raised the prices because the cost of product has gone up. Ok understandable... but why raise the price of the taco and reduce the amount of food. It isn't mathing, make it make sense!! Not writing this out of anger just stating facts and we will longer be going there because this is a continuous circumstance without regards to customer concerns

We always stop at this place for dinner on our way coming from long trip up north and this time we stop at 10pm and waitress told they we're closed. I told her that the website say 11pm and she said that sometimes her boss will close at 11pm but not tonight. Our last time we stop there

Reasonable food but shabby services, plus they cheat on food prices. We placed the order based on the price published on their website, being agreed by the servant. But when it came to the point of making the payment, the manager hiked the charge +20% of what's on the website, only saying that they forgot to upgrade the website. With this kind of mentality and attitude, I don't see any prospect of this restaurant growing into a decent business. Just a bad feeling...

Extremely rude servers. BOO! 🍅 The disrespect i got from the servers and their little friends was just too much. Check your servers. One of the female servers refused to give us our food even tho we already paid for it. I literally saw a cockroach climbing up someone's bussy 😭 im absolutely terrified. Worst Service I've ever encountered. The servers watched my wife and I walk in, right before another couple. The second couple was immediately asked for their drink order, while we sat at our booth unattended. I felt a sense of prejudiceness while we were blatanly ignored. The whole town must be like that. We took our money down the road to Three Rivers where we were treated with great service. If you're ever in the area I recommend the Three Rivers location. Same restaurant, better service.

Absolutely disgusting, the waitress had a nasty attitude and when my family and I were getting harassed by other customers; the people working their did nothing. They didn’t want to serve my younger sister her food but still charged us for it. Food was cold and rough to eat, found hairs in my food, horrible service, and the drinks tasted like soap. I do not recommend this restaurant.

It was dark when I was parking and I realized I was over the line so as I was about to repark somebody in a Chevrolet Avalanche parked right in front of me. I asked him to move and he said something in Spanish and kept walking and opened up the shipping container behind your restaurant. As he walked back to his Avalanche he was staring at me and continued to stare at me as he just sat in his truck. He eventually got out and was still saying something in Spanish. I got out of my truck telling him to get out of the way and he started yelling. This is terrible service from a supposed employee causing me to not want to eat here.

Went there today, was about 10:30ish. Sat down ,waitress brought menu's and took our drink orders. Never came back at all, we waited about 20 minutes, nothing at all. We decided to leave. As we were getting up another waitress came by and asked us if we needed anything. Told her no that we were leaving. If said waitress got busy doing something else she should have had another waitress to take care of us, or the manager to see to our order since he was just standing around talking to a booth full of people. Customer service is not a service that they do to kerp their business. I don't do bad service. Gladly take my business elsewhere.

Stopped here with my family while traveling. Service was very slow. The ground beef in my taco(Mexican Plate) was raw, they replaced it with another taco, but charged me an extra dollar. That fajita meat was dry and chewy, the pinch of lettuce and tomato wasn't fresh. Couldn't get any one's attention to pay or anything. Won't stop there again. Should've looked at the reviews on here first.

They gave us the complete opposite of what we ordered. They took forever to bring us our food. Forgot or order of tortillas, and were taking things off the table that we were not done with after we told them. Very disappointed in our visit. I don't plan on coming back very much

The staff was just horrible. My family and I went to dinner after visiting family in a nearby town and it was just ridiculous. The waitress wouldn’t take our order until she walked past multiple times. She continuously mumbled stuff under her breath and rolled her eyes and the food took almost 2 hours. The restaurant wasn’t even half full. It was just absolutely ridiculous. She even charged us for extra stuff we didn’t order and when we told her, she just huffed and slammed it back down on the table. Would never tell anyone to go there.

If I could give zero stars I would. What makes a restaurant great is the food and STAFF. Sadly the waiter and the lady in charge of the register were RUDE. The lady asked for our drinks and never brought them. The coffee was cold after being brought 45 minutes later and we waited 2 HOURS. With NO refills. We finally got our food and had to eat fast because we came from far. After trying to speak to the lady at the register she made excuses for the bad waiter and did NOT let us talk to a manager. We understand it was busy but all the tables were being served and ate first…. We came in with a family and they got their food first, while we waited for TWO HOURS. I wish I was exaggerating but if cameras are on they can take a look. The waiter did not put the plates in the table she made us have to grab it while hot and even if the person was right next to her. Again Cameras will show all I am saying. It be your own people treating you less and this staff showed that. Hope there is a response because the experience was that bad.

Place was pretty full but we found a table available. One waitress came and took drink order and gave us menus another brought us chips and salsa then our waitress brought us the drinks and took our order but when I ordered the guacamole she just assumed a side of guacamole didn't give me a chance to say I wanted the fresh made. Then when the meal arrives she gives us the plates and asked if we wanted tortillas I thought plates came with them so I said oh yes please. Then she brings them but didn't give me a chance to ask for correct guacamole so I ask the other waitress. I taste the food and I think that Taco Cabana has better enchiladas cause these tasted nasty they tasted sour and rice had one spice that was over powering the guacamole had more tomatoes and onions than avacado and needed more salt. The beans tasted like they were from a can that had been reheated a couple of times from day before. We sent the plates back and only had our drinks when I tried to get a cup to go for drinks I asked another waitress and I guess she was a mute and in bad mood cause she didn't speak and rolled her eyes. We weren't charged for plates but paid for guacamole and drinks . Plus waitress was more interested in checking on big party table than on us and less when we sent plates back . The manager never came to asked what was up and why we sent plates back it was just the waitress. Yes we were from out of town but my husband was from George West the first two times we came it was great but now I don't think we will be back. I can probably buy guacamole at store that is better than here. We left and will not return to this place again.

The cashier was rude, charging us for a different number table. I said we're on table 21, not 22. She got loud and said we have a system in our computer. All the waitress have long hair with no hair nets. They don't even talk English, but they want to work here in the United States. Restroom were dirty, have to stick your finger in a hole to flush the tiolet. Took long enough to pay, cashier over charging customer's in front of line. This place too strong of fabuloso scent, which is not sanitized.

Went there with my family of 13. The wait for our food was the major issue. After 40 minutes, we kept seeing people walk in after us and get their food soon after. My brother went to complain and then I went to talk to our waiter. She seemed to be on my side saying that she was aware our order was on hold to serve other tables. I ordered the fajita tacos and as soon as I got them I noticed something that looked like a chicken feet. I showed my waiter who took it to the register and i saw where she showed another employee and they were confused at what it was. She then took it to the cook and came back saying it was part of the meat. I did have them take that plate back because the meat had a strange flavor. One of the plates came with tortillas, and we got them late because our waiter was talking to someone she knew at another table. Will not be returning ever. Horrible vibes and experience.

If you are traveling down this road, avoid this restaurant at all cost, The food is absolutely horrible. The employees are super rude. Trust me wait until you get to San Antonio or nearest town. There’s a lot of options over there. You would thank me later. We stoped at this place and I absolutely regretted stopping here.

We have been there twice before, first time the food was amazing, a short while later again and it was delicious we live in atascosa TX and we stopped by again today and we were amazed, the service was horrible we ordered what I always do, Mexican plates it was horrible cheese enchiladas were drowning in cheese, the cheese that the government would give away years ago it was like that but worse the avocado dip was not up to par, we pretty much did some business today and our main objective was to stop there again. It was the worst example of Mexican Cuisines. It was not what we were expecting at all, they say 3rd times a charm, well 3 strikes their out of there, sorry for the brutal honesty but I call them like I see them never again.
