Chicken Express has the best tenders! The staff is always friendly and generous. I always find a couple of bonus tenders in every order! This goes over the top in earning my loyalty. Chicken Express, you do things right! Keep up the great work.

I really enjoyed eating here the other day. I ordered the #6 hot wing combo, and everything was fresh and delicious. If I’m driving through for work again, I will definitely stop by this location in Gilmer, TX.

This is my review for the Gilmer Tx location. I went in on Halloween night originally was going to go through the drive thru but the line was out to the road and the dinning room only had a few people and since I was getting my order to go I just went in. Everything that could go wrong from there did from my order to my change after payment. But let me explain why I gave them 5 stars across the board is because of the way everything was handled and fixed. So starting with my order. The young man that took my order was so sweet and so flustered and so apologetic. He was very welcoming and asked “ for here or to go “ and I told him Togo . So as far as ordering and it being my fault some of it was wrong I told him I wanted the tender meal that was on the window ( 3 tenders mash potatoes and a drink for 5.99 ) well I didn’t realize that is the Tuesday special ( yes MY bad ) . I wanted fries instead of mashed potatoes, extra gravy but I didn’t realize it was 1.09 so I asked him to take it off ( he did ) I ordered an extra drink and he got that right. That’s where it went down hill. I handed him my 20.00 and he had to open change for the register ( no biggie I’ve worked register befor ) he was having a hard time opening the roll and the girl walked out with a plate calling my number and the order was somewhat wrong. He started apologizing. It was three strips with two gravy and one roll. So I told her it was sapose to be the special on the window with fries not potatoes and she told me that was a Tuesday special but said she would get with the manager to fix it. The young man again apologized as he handed me my change ( finally ) but it was two dollars short ( no biggie deal it’s fixable ) the manager came over to explain he was fixing my order ( again MY mistake and I don’t mind paying the difference ) as I was explaining to the young man of his mistake. The manager also fixed this and I could see the young man was really struggling and I told him to breathe it was fixable. And no at no time did I raise my voice or throw a tantrum. The manager was amazing and would not let me pay for MY mistakes but fixed the order and softly spoke to the young man in a calming way … In a world full of people yelling over the smallest thing whether they are in the wrong OR NOT just understand that mistakes happen and can be fixed easily. This may have been his first job and he may have been new on the register I don’t know but I do know kindness goes a long way. I hope that this young man is still there when I go back ( and yes I will be back ) and he takes my order again. I have had bad experiences at other Chicken expresses that I refuse to go back to. I live in Overton and we don’t have one but when I come to Gilmer I will be back…. Oh I didn’t get my extra roll…LOL… if you made it this far into my story then you are a rock star go visit this location they care about your experience…. I don’t get names and I’m sorry about that but thank you so much

As fast food chicken goes, this is very nice! Appears very clean and open, I’m not a food inspector but this one passes my test! Rest room are clean!

The workers at tgis Chicken Express on the shift I stopped by were sp good! Friendly, working hard, eveeything was clean. Polite. Ibwas impressed. Manager should be proud of this shift.

We go here at least once a week. We always get the 3 piece dark special that comes with a drink for a very reasonable price. The chicken is always on point, meaning great. The only negative is that sometimes, which lately has been more often than we'd like, the pieces have been very small. We feel they should add another piece free of charge when that happens. If it keeps happening we will find somewhere else to go. It's not worth it if it's not filling. No matter how good it is.

We ordered a #2 seven piece tenders to split between us, with a side of okra & coleslaw. Everything was delicious! Including the okra. This location is only the 2nd we have found in this chain that the was not over cooked! We will be coming back.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences at this location. Nice and friendly staff. They run a special on Tuesdays for a 3 tender box with a side and drink for $5. That’s a huge help once a week when it comes to prices being so high on everything. It’s an affordable meal!
