My family and I like to frequent Denny's often. They have recently brought back their $2, $4, $6, $8 menu, which makes it much more affordable. Our waitress today was Lisa, who we have had several times. She is absolutely wonderful!! Thank you Herkimer Denny's for your wonderful service!!

Our server was AMAZING. He is very personable, direct to the point. Fast and capable of large orders. Food was amazing, hot, pancakes were golden brown, toast perfectly toasted no burnt edges, hashbrowns are crispy and soft. 10/10

Once a month we have a club meeting here. The service is always great. The server works hard to keep track of new arrivals as members arrive over about a 90 minute window. Many months it's over 40 people. My only issue is that the music playing over the speaker system makes it difficult to hear the speakers when the actual meeting starts.

I took my daughter here for dinner tonight. Danielle was our server and she was fantastic. I food came as we ordered it and she was attentive without being annoying. Our food came out of the kitchen quickly amd it was all very good. The restaurant was clean and it was a good experience over all.

I went to this Dennys for the first time with my girlfriend and let me tell you that everything was great from food to cleanliness. They have a breakfast deal for 7.99 and it was perfect. More than enough food to fill you up. I highly recommend this to be ypur breakfast destination. I will be trying out there lunch/dinner menu very soon.

This is the best Denny's. We stop here on road trips because there's an electric car fast charger. We plug in, and eat and the car is ready to go when we leave. The servers are so friendly and hard working. I've eaten at a lot of Denny's in my life, we went on Sundays after church, and it was a late night favorite in my teens. But this Denny's has the best food. Everything is made well and carefully. The restaurant is clean and the coffee is hot and filled frequently. We love stopping here.

I love stopping here on the way to Albany since I drive an electric car. It's the perfect middle ground to charge the car and get some great tasting food from Denny's. Today the service was excellent, warm attitude and warm environment away from the snow. Great place to rest up and recover from the long Syracuse drive. That warm cup of coffee kept me going. Was traveling through Herkimer on my way to Mohawk on my tour of quaint little villages along the Mohwak. Stopped into Denny's and ordered the Ultimate Omelet. Best Omelet I've ever eaten. The cook really knows his way around an egg. Our waitress, Lisa, was friendly, knowledgeable, and an overall delight. Will definitely be going back.

Normally Denny's isn't my first choice but this last time the food was better than I've ever had there before. Our waiter was excellent too. I was going to complain about the cost but the price of food is outrageous everywhere now due to our incompetent, liberal, douche bag president with Alzheimer's.

Stopped for a late dinner after traveling all day. We were greeted and seated right away. It was busy and they were a bit short handed, but our waiter was very nice and not overwhelmed. We had the bourbon chicken and chicken tenders meals. They were both really good and filling. The coffee was fresh.

I came here for dinner with my Mom for Mother's Day. Our server, Sierra L, was very friendly. The food was good. I did wonder if Denny's was running short on fries for how little they gave my Mom. Everything else was good!

Went after midnight staff was friendly and helpful made sure to check and see if we needed refills. Food was very fresh and hot was very pleasant and pleased a lot better than last time I went during the day. Was able to use coupons which helped tremendously. If you're looking for some fresh hot food late at night when everything is closed or after a night of drinking definitely recommend!!

Honestly I was a bit disappointed in Denny's. I used to go there often and I always had good food and service, but this visit, not so much. The burgers my husband and I got were ridiculously huge, which would have been fine had they had any flavor at all. The seasoned fries which I paid extra for were also sorely lacking in seasoning. I'm giving three stars because I have had other, much better experiences, and I dont want to deter anyone simply because of one bad night, but be aware. It seems that this particular Denny's had gone downhill.

The food and service was not terrible, though we did get one boneless wing that was not cooked all the way. The manager happened to be making rounds and noticed the uncooked wing and offered to remove the appetizer from the bill, but we declined as we had eaten the rest of the sampler appetizer. The bigger issue was a very loud family that decided to have a very detailed conversation about menstrual cycles while we were trying to eat our dinner. Again, not the the restaurant's fault.

The food is pretty good no matter if you get breakfast or lunch or dinner foods. Service isn't the fastest but seems to get it right with a great number of new staff members. There were lots of young new staff relatively unfamiliar with all of the menu items. Several things that I initially ordered were out of. Staff went back to the kitchen and then had to come back to let our party know that they were out. I know that college students and young people need to work but I think that the training needs to be a little bit better. My guest ordered tea. The cup was brought to the table It had food inside of it and a dark ring. I believe it might have been a coffee stain. In any case it was a dirty cup. Very obvious to see. When we ask for another cup he said "well all of our cups are like that". ????? We insisted on receiving another cup to have tea. I am so glad that I did not order coffee, I may not have seen the ring inside of the cup. I ordered the chocolate milkshake. It was thick, chocolatey and really delicious. I received the milkshake in the general metal container it was made in. When I asked for a glass to pour the chocolate milkshake from the metal mixer canister into a glass with a straw the waiter asked me why? I really wanted to take a picture of this because I was just totally unprepared. Nice young man but obviously not used to being a waiter. As is my policy I always tip a waiter. This young man never returned to the table to get his tip and almost forgot to give us a bill.

I was kind of taken aback when my family and I went to this location. There were several people on but they were just standing behind counter doing nothing. Meanwhile the dining area had at least 5 tables that were not cleaned and water all over the floor. Then instead of cleaning up the water, a sign was put over it where it stayed the enter time we were there. The food looked rushed and we weren't offered the different options that are normally offered when ordering breakfast items. This place is a hit or miss. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. It looks bad on a business when there's plenty to clean up and employers are neglecting their duties. I hope they get it together and the managers takes notice of what the staff isnt doing when they're not there. That said there are a few servers we had prior that were fantastic! Professional, courteous and quick. Unfortunately none of them were on the other night.

Our server was good but was very disappointed in the food. My friend ordered a dish without mushrooms, they put them in anyway. Ordered double bacon instead of bacon and sausage, got bacon and sausage anyway. The toast and French toast were cold and the eggs were not far from cold. I would have preferred to send it all back, as it was my birthday and this kinda spoiled it. The line workers, (chefs) need to pay attention to the orders. I ended up taking most of it home so I could heat it up and enjoy it.

Denny’s is Denny’s. I think going in I knew what I was going to get. The restaurant was dated, although not dirty. At least that was good. Our server really tried. The kitchen staff was not good. Super slow and when one of our meals came - it wasn’t hot despite the long wait. Our server was so determined to help that he actually jumped back in the kitchen to assist. Kudos to him. Sadly, it didn’t help enough. My meal was ok as I expected. 🤷🏻‍♂️ The incredibly long wait made it an unpleasant experience.

Was seated at a table that was mostly clean. Food all over the floor under out table (from previous guest, I presume). The photo of the food on the floor was after I kicked it out from under out table and put it next to an unoccupied table. Floor under our table was sticky nevertheless. Among other things, I had ordered an iced tea. I had to break up the "gab session" up front behind the counter just to get my tea. When it came to getting the check. I waited 10 minutes, while most of the staff went outside to either smoke or have a huge gab session. When they all came parading back in, still chatting with one another, I still was waiting for my check, so I decided to go up front, and the first employee I ran into (large male with glasses) asked "Wadda want?". I told him that I would like to pay my bill and leave. He replied; "Front counter", pointed at it, and walked away. Now on a scale of 1 - 10, then food was a 9, but that was about it. Everything else sucked. Next time I am in the Herkimer area, I will choose one of the many other places to eat while there. Also, the photo of the chair I sat in, that is how most of the chairs looked there by the way...

I went twice recently for breakfast, Saturday and Sunday. This place got so much worse. Maybe a new chef? Trainee served us the first day. Very good, attentive service. Food was good. Second time, we had a different server, super slow service, food arrived cold and greasy. Both times hash browns were raw. Unbeaten dish was taken off the bill second time. I used to love this place. It was my go to spot for breakfast. The best and only Dennys I would eat at. Always great food and fast service. Such a shame. It is clean, and people are nice enough. I'll try again in a year.

Got seated in this dark and sad atmospheric restaurant. Ordered and got our meals quite promptly, except three bites into my "The Afterlife Melt" there was a hair in my food that was not mine or the waitresses. She was kind enough to take the dish off the ticket and offered to have it remade. Which was admirable, but would there be more hair in the next dish?

The service never came back to check on us until we were done with our food , We were never asked if we wanted more drinks . Very very Disappointing today. I was a waitress for 15 years and very understanding. This would have to be the second worst waitress we have ever got . The first one was in sycause at Oliver graden were that waitress for got our main meal.

I would give them less than 1 star if I could. When we first entered the person that seated us was very friendly, however our server and service was less than pleasant. To begin, I ordered a hot tea and when it was brought over I asked for some milk to put in the tea. When the server brought the milk it was an entire glass. The next time she came by, I mentioned that I just wanted a small bit for my tea, and instead of correcting the issue all she said was “I won’t charge you for it” in a very sassy tone. I then asked for a smaller amount so that I was actually able to pour it. She brought me a plastic kiddy cup filled to the brim with milk. Again, this made it very difficult to pour. After ordering our food, our server informed us that she was going on break and that someone else would bring us our food. This was fine, however, we could see our food in the pass thru for 20 min before anything was brought to our table. Once we finally got our food, another individual at our table found a plastic bread tag in her burger. After informing someone (not our server because she was on break) they offered to make her a fresh burger, or give her a discount. Unfortunately, we were in a rush and after already waiting for a while for our food we did not have time to wait for an entirely new meal, so she ate the other half of the burger that was not in contact with the bread tag. Upon receiving our bills, she only received a 10% discount, equalling $1, off of her bill. This is entirely unacceptable, especially since this location has apparently won the food safety excellence award earlier this year.

This is fourth visit to this location and as always my serving person (staff) is very rude and prejudiced towards me not sure why l, it is the ethnicity . It can be clearly seen the difference in behavior when serving other guests. I love Dennys but this is worst location.

Service is always horrible. With larger groups your food gets brought out at different times. Often messy/sloppy plates and restrooms are always dirty. Their staff always seems scattered. I will assume it is from the lack of training and management. If your not happy with your food and want to send it back be prepared, you're still going to pay for it. They only offer 20% off and attitude like it's your fault.

Showed up about 10:15a. They are a bit busy but many open tables. Almost 1/3rd of the tables are open. We were told at least a 30 minute wait for food.

I was extremely disappointed. It took more than 10 minutes to get seated, then we waited 25 minutes for our food...which we finally had to ask that they make it to go, because it was so extremely cold in there, I couldn't stay any longer. Then it took 15 more minutes to get our food. I realize that air conditioning is important, but as cold as it was in there, was ridiculous.

The experience was terrible. The order was messed up, and the side of fruit was half bad, when we finally received it (as it took 40 minutes for some pancakes and sandwiches at 3pm). When my wife explained the mistake to the waiter nothing was offered to fix the problem. He only exclaimed "well I wrote it on the ticket" and "I guess I have to make sure they read". Very disappointing! This is not the first time. It seems to happen every time we go there. We say to ourselves "perhaps it will be better now" and we give it another try. Much to our disappointment. I would never suggest to anyone that they go here. At least not to this location.

Every time I go to Dennys to get food the waitress named Krystal is always upsetting me I let it go one time because she was by herself but this time she wasn’t I would come in and order food Krystal doesn’t even communicate with me she will just start ringing random stuff up on the computer and than when it’s time to pay I get these outrageous prices that make no sense or even sound right and than she would turn around and the cook would have four receipts out of no where with the same order and than she tells me oh you gotta call DoorDash for a refund when it’s not even DoorDash fault it’s Dennys. I love Dennys but this one waitress is just really ruining it for me.

I just experienced one of the worst dining experiences ever! We were seated, 2 adults and a child, and the waitress asked if we needed a children's menu (yes). She brought 2 adult menus (we never received the children's menu) and said that she would take our drink orders one she found her book. I can't tell you what our server's name was because she never mentioned her name. That should have been my heads up for what was next..... 15 minutes later she finally came back with her order pad and we gave our drink orders as well as our food orders. 5-10 minutes after that she brought the nacho appetizer. We finished the appetizer and still didn't have any drinks! That was the point where I went up to the front counter and spoke with the manager George (who was absolutely wonderful, by the way). I told him that we didn't have any drinks and had time to finish our appetizer before getting drinks. The server then came out with the drinks and apologized for her bad service. She said she just got on duty and it was very busy (I noticed 2 other servers in the dining room being very attentive to their tables). Eventually our food came...... One of the burgers was supposed to be no tomato (there was tomato on it, simple fix, we just removed the tomatoes) and the pancakes for the kid were supposed to have chocolate chips. When we asked about the chocolate chips, the server said it was George, the manager's fault, for the lack of chocolate chips. She took the plate of plain pancakes and said she would get chocolate chip pancakes for us. About 10 minutes later the server brought us our check (which had an extra drink on it that we didn't order!). I asked if we were going to get the chocolate chip pancakes since the kid still hasn't eaten at this point. She said she forgot but would go get them. The server comes back a few minutes later, rudely put the plate down without saying anything and walked away! I asked if there was some sort of problem? She didn't acknowledge me and just kept walking. THAT WAS THE LAST STRAW! I went back up front and talked to George the manager. I asked him where the TV cameras were because clearly this was some sort of prank TV show or something. I told him there is no way the service could be that bad! He assured me it wasn't a prank and apologized for not assigning me a different server. George came out to our table with a discounted check and apologized. He said that our experience was unacceptable and he wanted us to come back again. He indicated that he was a manager there for 23 years. I told him it wasn't his fault that our experience was so bad, it was the server. I suggested that if she was having a bad day (in the future) that she should have the bad day out back and keep it back there. No customer should ever have this sort of experience. That's when the booth behind us got George's attention and said he was also having a bad experience with that server. The table in the center (who had a good server) overheard us and said that George is the best manager and that they had our server in the past and also had a bad experience with her. While I realize that with the job market how it is, that good help may be hard to find, but I'd rather deal with a short staff/longer wait time with a pleasant staff then to EVER go through a dining experience like this again! I am thankful that George the manager has the proper demeanor to do his best under these circumstances. If only our server would learn to be like George.

I never write negative reviews as I think every place deserves a chance, this place...needs to be shut down. Our waiter and the manager were very nice, but what we saw and experienced needs to be taken care of. We were traveling on I-90 and decided to grab dinner so stopped at Denny’s. The tables were not cleared, we counted 5 tables with dishes piled, so people could not be seated. When we were seated we were next to dirty dishes and flies. We should have walked out right then, but we were starving and decided to give them a chance. We ordered our food and when it came out most of it was lukewarm and one meal was cold, so she decided not to eat it. One of our party members had an ice tea with lemon and noticed the paper sticker still attached to the lemon so he refused to drink it. We noticed some guests were seated at tables that ceiling tiles were missing and insulation was coming out. I had to use the ladies room and noticed a used feminine product sitting on the garbage. We had to leave we couldn’t stay any longer so we asked for our checks and as we were paying we heard a drill and noticed in the kitchen over the grill a worker was standing on something drilling into the metal hood. Many many safety violations and codes broken at this restaurant, someone needs to see this. Like I said the manager and our waiter were very nice.

Was not happy at all appetizer was brought after our meals nachos were extremely soggy waitress was in her own little world couldn't remember our orders never cleared any of our dishes.. never going back!

The absolute worst dining experience I think I've maybe ever had!!! Greeter/ waitress was loud obnoxious and made us feel rushed. Food came cold, my sandwich still had the little papers between the cheese slices and when I brought it to her attention... She screamed across the restaurant to the cook about it in front of all of the other patrons, extremely unprofessional!! He had to have been so humiliated. The poor guy came out and personally apologized. I assured him that it could have happened to anyone, not a big deal. We were comped for the sandwich. The quality of the turkey was terrible, very salty and wet. Sister had chicken fried steak and it was awful as well. These restaurants need to do better!!!

The restaurant appeared to be run by the "lost boys" from Peter Pan who had no idea what anyone was doing. Waited 20 mins just to get drinks. Literally 10 people in the entire restaurant. When our appetizer came, which were loaded tater tots... it looked like something the dog threw up on last night.... but wait... there's more. Cinnamon swirl pancakes appeared to have icing just piped all over them and was served Hash browns that weren't even cooked. To add insult to injury... they forgot my toast. But rest assured it was shortly delivered to the table ..... glowing.... literally.... some sort of orange butter spread all over it. The soda was the only thing that I actually enjoyed.

Stopped at Denny’s while traveling. They are understaffed, only two servers. It took quiet a while for someone to come get our drink order. This however is not the fault of the servers as they were running around trying to please everyone. The very worst part is the mold, this is not small areas of mold but very large areas covered in black mold. There was mold all over the walls and ceilings. We didn’t notice until we ordered and felt very unsafe eating there, tried to finish ASAP. I cannot believe Denny’s would subject their employees to unsafe work conditions. I can only imagine the long term health affects of working in that environment. I hope this is taken care of for the well-being of the employees and patrons.

Over priced, charged for 3 coffees but only had 2, coffee was awful and cold, both cups. Took about an hour to get our food and it wasn't good! Never go here, the worst Denny's I've ever been too.

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would without hesitation. This was hands-down the most infuriating, unacceptable dining experience I’ve ever had. We were completely ignored for over 25 minutes before a waiter even bothered to approach our table. When finally coming to our table, she took our drink, appetizer, and meal orders. It took another 25 minutes just to get our drinks. Then only half our table got their meals — while the rest of us sat there, waiting even longer. And unbelievably, our appetizer sampler came out last, after the entrées. What kind of restaurant serves appetizers after the main course? When the rest of the food finally arrived, it was stone cold and completely unappetizing. In the nearly TWO HOURS we sat there, we watched a group of six come in, get seated, order, and receive their food before we even got halfway through ours. This place is a complete disaster. Disorganized, careless, and clearly doesn’t care about their customers. We left angry and incredibly disappointed. Our family will never step foot in this place again.

I order the crazy spicy bowl for curbside pickup. They said it would be ready by 1:30-1:35, I got here at 1:25 and the woman who answered the phone was so rude about me advising I had arrived. 20 minutes later she brought out my food and it was cold. I ate in the parking lot so it wasn't even a long drive before I ate it. there was barely any food in the container and not a single jalapeño or potato in the bowl. It was greasy and slimey. Definitely not going back.

Came in around 5pm. Was seated it took over 20 mins to get drinks another 30 for food. The kitchen was so backed up for the few people in there. The cook kept walking outfront to smoke in front of guests. We ordered the 6.99 endless breakfast the server said it came with meat then charged us for it. The eggs were supposed to be scrambled it was a egg patty the hash hashbrowns were not done but soaked in grease. The bacon was under cooked and sausage still cold. The pancakes were the only thing that was halfway decent. The music was very loud and annoying playing. Tickets only started moving when the manager came in and started working in the back.

Not recommending... Used to be a favorite every time I come home. Unfortunately, on an empty morning the food was horrible. Ordered the Prime Rib Benedict and did not end up eating it. Plate comes out with no eggs for an eggs Benedict meal??? Had to chase the waitress down to point out my egg breakfast had NO egg. She says they are remaking your breakfast, hahaha! Nope they fried up 2 eggs and threw it on top of the original plate and drowned it in what was supposed to be Hollandaise sauce. Still thinking maybe I'll give it a chance I move the eggs to eat the steak only to find about 3 pieces of actual steak and a pile of ground beef. Nope nope, not recommending at all. The Mango lemonade was delicious and the chicken biscuit bowl was good to share. Service was okay for what she is being forced to work with.
