I am very delayed in my review, but it has nothing to do with how much I appreciate the staff and owners at Angelina’s Hickory Creek! We held my husband’s 60th birthday celebration in a Saturday evening on the rooftop. From the booking to the cleanup it was fantastic! The owners both truly cared for our family and our 60 guests! The bartenders and servers were so kind and attentive! It is a great space with its own bar and multiple monitors and we used their sound system for our video. So great!

This place has vegetarian beans and rice which has been so hard to find in Texas. This just means they don’t add lard to the beans and they have a cilantro rice option. The food was amazing. The service was equally great. The food came out very quickly, our waiter didn’t forget a thing. Only thing that could make it better would be an authentic vegetarian friendly rice made with vegetable stock instead of chicken stock. But literally no complaints

Service was topnotch it wasn't very busy but even when the dinner rush was coming in we had servers making sure we did not want for anything even the owner came and talked with us all the food was good and came out hot and in a timely manner thumbs-up to the staff all working together and making us feel like vip's I was watching and all the table's seemed to have more than one person taking care of them keep up the good work other places could learn from this this

PROs: Great location. Plenty of parking, ground level, handicap accessible. Nice and clean establishment, decor is simple but beautiful. Food was great too. Heidi, our waitress, was friendly and attentive to us. CONs: We were seated near the bathrooms, it wasn't appealing, there should be a discreet wall. Approx. $70 (with tip) we ordered fish tacos, grande burrito, chimichanga and fried ice cream.

Great food, great people and great atmosphere. We had a lite lunch of chicken flaunts and beef nachos, both excellent. I really enjoyed their salsa and yellow queso. I was also offered a hot (temp) and spicy salsa which was excellent. I will be back for the street tacos and beef fajitas... Wife loves their soup and salad for lunch...

We love the friendly service here! The fajitas are always delicious and the desserts are a must! Who doesn't love so good queso with all the toppings! They have the best queso around town. So glad they decided to open a location in this area.

The service was great and the food was delicious. Their tortillas were a favorite of ours. Our kids loved them and so did we. I really like the brunch options they had on Sunday because I’m a big breakfast guy! The queso was also a hit for us and the kids. I think this place is underrated for sure, but our experience was great and the food was delicious. We will be going back again!

Gluten Free Review: We have driven my Mi Tata many times and this past weekend decided to meet our friend who came into town there! We loved it! There chips and salsa were amazing!!! Seriously such good flavor and texture. The menu had a gluten free label next to everything that was safe to order. They had a lot of options. We ordered a soda and fajitas for two and it was fantastic. We will be back. Great place for gluten free and celiac.

Food was ok. Not worth going back. Chips weren't great. Salsa was nothing impressive. We can say the employees were great though! They were very nice and made the experience positive.

Food is relatively good, however side portions or bean/rice/queso, etc seem small for the overall dish. Atmosphere downstairs is about the same as dining in warehouse. Didn't go upstairs. Few references to be a mexican restaurant. Wait staff were very attentive and freindly from management to staff. We may have recieved extra attention due to the rudely and loud family of 10 seated near us. The acoustics are not good and with loud women seated near us, we could hardly hear each other. Having a conversation with my wife would have been better if we sign language. We might try coming back and check out upstairs when it warms up. Downstairs is a no go for us going forward if we should wish to visit again. But, I would like to say again the staff and management were wonderfully freindly and working their butts off and earned thier large gratuity. Fix the acoustics downstairs, serve more rice/beans/queso portions. But with that said, the downstairs was packed, so I guess they are doing just fine.

Really wanted to like this place as we just moved in and are only minutes away. Salsa was quite possibly the worst I’ve ever had anywhere. Queso was nothing to write home about but not terrible. My burrito was cold. The best thing at this Mexican restaurant is the French fries. I’ll have to find another Mexican place close by Cannot reply to owner so I’ll put it here. It’s okay, no biggy just stating my experience. I did not ask for a manager, as i’m not generally one to do that. I ate the cold burrito, tipped 25% and left

Take out Street tacos: meat had absolutely no flavor. Had to put salt. Also, the onion to meat ratio was basically 1:1. No lime. The salsa provided was basically clamato with like 1/8 of a jalapeño. The only reason for the second star is because the rice, beans and chips were actually pretty good. Although, I suspect the beans were also made with Clamato. 0 for 2, second disappointment from this place. No clue why the ratings are so high.

Definitely have tasty food. But over the past few years the portions have drastically Reduced in size and dramatically Increased in price. Angelina‘s famous nachos with chicken fajita meat over $15 a plate you get 12 nachos that’s more than a dollar for one nacho. You get 1/4 of a cup of rice and 1/4 of a cup of beans on an $18 plate. Manager says it’s due to the price of the vendors, supplying the food to the restaurant. I wonder if the price of rice has gone up to $1 million a bag to account for the small portions of rice alone. Dried beans must be $3 million because they’re super stingy with those. And I can definitely tell you the price for one nacho chip one piece of chicken and a tablespoon of cheese at Angelina’s, it’s one dollar. Over the past two years service has gone downhill prices have increased and portions have reduced. I do believe I will no longer go to Angelina’s again thanks for listening to my rant.

My wife has a shellfish allergy. So we called ahead to see how the kitchen was with cross contamination. The lady who answered the phone was very rude. Her response with a snarky tone " the kitchen isn't careful with that, and if you have that problem. I wouldn't eat here." This is to the owner I sent you a reply email as requested on Thursday.

We placed an order through Door Dash for 1 chicken quesadilla and 1 steak quesadilla. Both were thrown together with what tasted like cardboard box. There was barely any cheese, the steak and chicken had a rubbery texture AND WAS NOT GRILLED!!!! I had to grill them myself and add some seasoning. It seemed like we were given the scraps of the day, stale chips included, since we ordered after 9:00pm. My granddaughter and I were truly disappointed with everything. We usually eat from the one on Main Street in Lewisville and the food is ALWAYS delicious and the presentation is appetizing!!

Food was terrible and way overpriced. It tasted like everything was straight out of a can. I ordered through Uber Eats, and the delivery was great, but the food quality here is very bad. I ordered the chicken fajitas, and the bell peppers and onions were not charred or sautéed at all. The serving of chicken was so small that I had tortillas left over. I paid $8 for a side of queso that was less than 4 oz, and it was 100% straight from a can. It wasn’t good at all. The nacho cheese at a kids’ ballpark is way better than whatever they serve here. The price versus the food quality is by far terrible. I would honestly eat Taco Bell over this, and Chipotle is gourmet dining compared to what I was served. I’ve never had such bad Tex-Mex. I spent $45 on chicken fajitas, a very small side of queso, and an extra bag of chips, not including tip and delivery fee. I wouldn’t mind the price if the food were actually good. Since it wasn’t, it kind of ruined my night.
