This restaurant was amazing. Walking in it reminds you of your Italian grandmothers kitchen. The food was great. The atmosphere had the true Italian feel. All the wait staff were amazing. Go eat here for some amazing authentic Italian food and atmosphere. 100% recommend.

Food was excellent. Waitress and support staff excellent. Arrived 5:15 with a reservation not crowded many available tables. Gentleman that showed us to table was indifferent at best. Not a good first impression. We were led to an 90 % empty dining room to a table directly in line with kitchen door 15 feet. With comment "best table in the house" Once were settled in we quickly realized this was not "the best table in the house" and that a reservation was meaningless. Only attention recd was from waitress ranges were promptly cleared by runners. But no interaction at all very mechanical process. You can see not one staff member replied. Food is not worth the treatment. The take out side is great. Helpful stff and kind. Restaurant....awful. Felt like an inconvenience. Smiles are as rare and as hard to find as reasonable prices.

My recent 50th birthday celebration was absolutely perfect, and I just had to share our experience. The food was exceptional—every dish, especially the branzino was delicious and beautifully presented. However, the true highlight of the evening was our server, William. He went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our celebration was perfect. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and his recommendations were spot on. More than that, his friendly and professional demeanor made us feel like VIPs and truly added to the joy of our special night. We never had to ask for a thing; he was always one step ahead. The ambiance was warm and lively creating the perfect backdrop for our large group. Thank you to the entire team, and a special thank you to Will Molina for making my 50th a night to remember! Our server was William the professional and he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was so tasteful you can tell they put love into making their food. I came here ONE TIME and I loved every moment of it. The pasta is top-notch, and wow, do they give you a lot for your money. That pasta lasted me 3 days. The atmosphere is incredible, and it makes the whole restaurant feel really cozy. They even sell marinara sauce. Go buy it, it's at Costco.

Updating my review to 5 stars after an outstanding second visit! Following a less-than-ideal takeout experience, the restaurant's prompt and thoughtful outreach convinced me to give them another try. I'm so glad I did. The chicken Caesar salad was a true delight this time around, with perfectly tender and juicy chicken and a generous amount of delicious dressing. The excellent customer service made the entire experience even better, and I'll definitely be returning to this favorite spot. Prior review contents below: Past experiences at this restaurant, both in the main dining room and the pizzeria, have been excellent. However, a recent takeout order was disappointing. A $27 chicken Caesar salad was ordered with a quoted wait time of 10-15 minutes. After waiting 35 minutes, a staff member was asked to check on the order. The staff member attributed the delay to a misplaced ticket. A ticket with the my name and order time was attached to the salad container at the pickup counter. Upon arrival at home, the salad was missing the Caesar dressing. Despite previous positive experiences, the extended wait, the inconsistent explanation, and the incomplete order led to dissatisfaction. This level of service may prevent future orders from this establishment

I’m writing my review for Mama Lombardi’s in Holbrook, and I feel terrible for not doing so sooner. I’ve been a patron for decades, and this establishment is truly exceptional. The hosts at the counter, whether you’re visiting for lunch or dinner, are always gracious and attentive, ensuring that you are well taken care of at all times. They have a dedicated team that continually ensures everything runs smoothly, and the cleanliness of the place is impressive. This restaurant is a gem of Long Island, and I’m incredibly grateful to enjoy their remarkable home-cooked meals on a weekly basis. Keep up the fantastic work!

The pizza, which has a history of over 150 years, was fantastic. There was not a single dish that was not excellent, including pasta, eggplant, and all side dishes. All of my friends were satisfied with the food. The taste of the food was great, and the portion and price were very reasonable. It is a restaurant I definitely want to visit again.

There last night 2/21/26 to celebrate my nephews 21st birthday. It was a last minute reservation for 22 people. So thankful they were able to accommodate us as we called that afternoon. Main course was ok but our server Willie was wonderful along with his help. Service was 5 star.. Next time I'll try something different for dinner. Appetizers were really good. Cold antipasto, baked clams, shrimp oreganato, calamari and stuffed mushrooms.

Everything was delicious. Our server, Andrea, went above and beyond! She even turned up the heat when she saw I was chilly. She gave us great dessert recommendations, Tartufo is excellent! The food was fresh and delightful. I only demoted a star from my rating because at the end of our meal when I tried to tell the manager/owner how happy we were with everything, he gave us a puss on his face and barely nodded back in response. You would think he would be pleased to hear how well his staff did! Otherwise, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Went for my mom's birthday in January...half the table was disappointed with there food. Our server must have been new.. Lack of communication regarding upcharge fees for changing type of pasta for my dish... If I would have known it was going to be $5 extra I would have taken what was offered. I asked to have that fee removed but the server said he couldn't do it. Food was sub par.my Aunt ordered.Chicken franchaise. It had so little sauce.. she asked for extra .. by the time she got the extra sauce a half an hour later. her food was cold. There were a few other issues at the other side of the table... Overall I give this experience two stars... The most important...my mother's food came out perfect. Mama Lombardi's reached out to rectify the issue and apologized for the inconveniences.... That's a company that cares about their business and their customers.. For that I up my stars and give them five stars for service. Thank you.

You will have left overs! We had awesome service here. We wish we had a larger group so we could have tried more things. Calamari was light and crispy and the marina sauce was perfect. My wife and i went to Mama Lombardi's on Saturday 01/10/26 to celebrate our 31st year wedding anniversary (which was on 01/06/26) I made 6pm reservations on line and was asked online if the reservation was for anything special ie: Birthday etc. I checked off the box that said Anniversary. I thought they asked this because we were going to maybe get a round of drinks, (stupid me for thinking this). Why do they ask why you are going to be dining there if you dont get anything??? I cannot say enough about the waitress Jessica G. She constantly made sure we were good and taken care of. I also advised the manager on duty of her AWESOME service. I gave her a $60.00 cash tip on our bill which was $171.00 before tax. I do not tip on tax. That accounts to a 29.4% tip. Jessica could not thank myself and my wife enough. I told Jessica good service deserves a great reward. If we ever go back to mama Lombardis' I will be asking to be seated in her section. I only have two complaints. One is i ordered a Bone in Ribeye Steak and was charged $75.00 for it. The steak was good but $75.00 is a bit steep for the steak. Also there was fat on the steak too. My wife ordered for her Appetizer the mozzarella and tomato. They gave her a huge ball of mozzarella but only 4 small tomato slices. Can they spare the tomato, OMG!? She had to eat most of the mozzarella without any tomato. They should have given her at least 8 slices of tomato. The 4 slices were not even a whole tomato. It seems as a lot of restaurants are skimping on size but not on the prices. Not good if they want returning customers.

We have been ordering catering for Christmas Eve for the past 20 years. The service has gotten worse and worse by the year. This year I waited inside the pickup area for 2 hours while my guests waited for the food. This will be the last time we're ordering from them, they seem to not respect their customers time. EDIT- Mama Lombardis has reached out to apologize over the situation, they seemed genuine, and made it right. Hoping they can get back in the right direction in the future.

SUPER SUPER Disappointing. My wife and I went there for happy hour and sat at the bar. It was approximately 9000 degrees sitting there. There were folded napkins on the bar so we put them on our laps and we were informed that's not what they were there for, it was to make sure that bread crumbs didn't get on the bar, I have never seen that before. The bartender was complaining that she had been there all day, she said she got there at 1130am. It was 5pm. Ordered mozzarella sticks that were on the happy hour menu and had a (6) next to them. Were there six sticks? Nope. There were four. Were they six dollars, nope they were eight. Was advised the menu was wrong. Ordered the chicken parmesan which was mediocre. My wife got the stuffed mushrooms which she said she would give a 0/5. Then she got the arugula salad which she said was okay. She also got the wine, first she started with the chardonnay and then she got the Riesling, both were stale and clearly the bottles were open for quite a while. After we got our dinner our bartender/waitress forgot about us, had to ask another bartender for the check. It was $130 for two people. We had leftovers but did not ask to take anything home because it was not good. The only reason this review gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because the coconut martini was excellent. I do not like to give bad reviews, check my profile, but this place is a no go. Will never go again and do not recommend

Borrowing from another reviewer that coined the term Christmas Eve 2025 Debacle: First of all on the Saturday before Christmas week we called to place an order for 2 half trays of food for Christmas. The girl who answered the phone said they don’t take orders over the phone and to go online. The website looked janky so we called back and spoke to someone named Will who said we could come into the pizza restaurant to place the order with him directly. We went to the pizza restaurant and waited 45 mins to speak to anyone. We asked for Will and they said they would call him to come out but we never saw him emerge. We ended up placing the order with one of the women at the counter and tried to schedule a pickup for December 23rd to make it easier for the restaurant as well as for ourselves since we could understand they would be busy on Christmas Eve. The woman told us that in-store orders could only be picked up on 12/24 and any other dates would have to be ordered online. We didn’t want to go through all that nonsense again so we agreed to the 12/24 pickup with a time slot of 3:00 pm. So on Christmas Eve we arrived at the catering hall at 2:45 pm to find total chaos! They had between 100-200 customers standing around waiting for their orders. One man I spoke to had an 11:00 am scheduled pick up time and he was still waiting for his food at 3pm! There was seemingly no system by which they were preparing the food or bringing out the orders. We could not believe how incompetent and unprofessional this entire operation was. How do you schedule a customers order for a specific time and not have it ready for them for another 5 hours on a holiday when they have a house full of guests waiting for food?! Fortunately, we were able to get our food after about 2 and a half hours, which was better than some of the other poor customers I guess but still totally unacceptable. I did see other reviewers mention they did place their orders online only to be told there was no record of the order when they arrived at the catering hall and they were not refunded! I guess it’s good we did not use the website to place our order after all! As for the food quality and flavor, everything was okay but it’s not heads above any other Italian restaurant out there. The food would not entice me to go through this entire saga again.

This was a 2 o’clock pickup for Christmas Eve… food was not at the restaurant, had to walk to the catering hall AND waited almost two hours. Unbelievable. Great food but don’t waste your money or time here. One couple said they waited three hours. Everyone here was waiting at least an hour.
