I have been coming here for over 23 years. The food is absolutely perfect. Has the right spices and the flavors. The service is like you would get in a restaurant that needs reservations. Go try it out and you won't be sorry. They keep me coming back year after year abd I'm a fussy person when it comes to food. ENJOY.

Very extense menu, with plenty of options, food is well presented, very tasty and is the closest to real mexican food. Not expensive.

I heard they had barbacoa...this is my to go to place for really tasty tacos...they have other things but I really am hung up on this. I don't want anything else than this, landlocked..my favorite...I would hate to be disappointed if I ordered something and had wished to have my standard so I haven't had anything else...if you are a fan of barbacoa..it's the best here.

I've been coming to this taquería since 2002 they are open till late for our late cravings .I like their fajita burritos and their green salsa only I don't really like the dark salsa they have it has a weird taste.

Really authentic Tex Mex. Grilled chicken is good. Breakfast is good as well with tasty Huevos Rancheros fresh coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. My daughter craves the chili con queso. And service is always fantastic. The real deal for Mexican restaurants!

Honestly, I came here cause I was told that the food was very good and affordable, but I got disappointed the price was a bit too high for the quality, and quantity of the food! Plus be aware of you pay with a credit card you'll get an EXTRA 4% charge to your bill without noticed!!!! 😠👎

Food is good but for some reason I always get a stomach ache when I eat here. This is a tex-mex but more Texan. It's worth a try!

My family and I went to a Mexican restaurant where everyone there except me was served. My plate didn't arrive until everyone else was finished, defeating the purpose of sharing a holiday meal together on a very limited budget. The waitress also rolled her eyes at us to boot, when we were nothing but polite. Taqueria El Sol #2 in Houston, TX on Bissonet. I am not Latina and was the only white person there (and deaf to boot). I guess me being deaf and using my education to try and speak Spanish was an offense. Their excuse after serving everyone else was that they were understaffed. And no apology was made directly to me whatsoever. I did not deserve to be snubbed as the paying patron.

I asked for a tripita taco. The flour tortilla was really small. The tripitas were extremely fried. I asked for 2 milanesa tacos. Meat was burnt also My husband asked for a torta the bun was also burnt. On the receipt you don’t even know what you are paying for. They just give you the receipt with prices. I asked for green salsa and they charged me 2 dollars for it.

If you want spoiled meats, bad food, bad stomach aches after but yet pretty good customer service. Then go ahead and waste your time here.
