If you love bold, authentic Sichuan flavors, Triple Pepper is a must-visit in Houston. We ordered a wide spread and every dish delivered on flavor, quality, and consistency. Highlights included the Spicy Crispy Chicken, Cumin Lamb (spicy), Spicy Dry Pot Shrimp, and the Three Peppers Taro Chicken, each dish was perfectly cooked, deeply seasoned, and had that unmistakable Sichuan heat without being overpowering. The Sweet & Sour Fish was well-balanced, and the Dry-Fried Green Beans were addictive. The appetizers were equally solid: Chicken Lollipops, Steamed Dumplings, and Cream Cheese Wontons were great starters. We also loved the House Special Fried Rice, Chicken Chow Mein, and ended the meal with desserts like Brown Sugar Rice Cake, Lychee Jelly, and Matcha Coconut Mango. The ambience is clean and modern, service was attentive. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to. Highly recommended if you’re craving authentic, spicy food in Houston. Shout out to the manager, Emma and Katrina for your service during our visit.
Food was amazing! We love it! Very flavorful and presentable. Service was excellent! Very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Ambiance was clean, spacious , and high class. We will definitely, come back here soon!
Triple Pepper was pretty good overall, and I would definitely go back. The service was relatively good, and the ambience was really nice. I especially enjoyed the General Chicken and the rice, everything was flavorful and satisfying. The prices were very affordable, which was a pleasant surprise. They do have a couple of small upcharges on certain items, but it was absolutely worth it for the quality and experience. A solid spot that I’d recommend checking out.
Went there as a large group, the waiters were excellent and came by often to ask if we needed anything, the food also tastes awesome! The spice level is not very high, and even people with almost no spice tolerance can eat it. The 口水鸡 was especially delicious, and wasn’t really spicy even though it looked very red.
Had the House Fried Rice with Pan Fried Chickwn Dumplings...the Rice exceptional as its 80% the quality of the Rice 🍚 and 20% how you handle the Rice and they covered both really well. Fresh Veggies and Meats as flavor Profile everywhere from the beef to chicken 🐔 to shrimp 🍤 and the veggies. Great Location off Richmond Ave Loop Area and new space with huge bar and booth seating as well as table seating. Staff exceptional as well...
As someone who has traveled to over 100 countries, the cuisine I miss the most when abroad is always Chinese food. Coming to Houston, I didn’t expect to be so impressed, but this restaurant truly amazed me. The dishes are not only delicious, but also authentically prepared, bringing out the real flavors of China. Every plate feels carefully crafted, from the seasoning to the presentation, and it instantly reminded me of home. What stood out even more was the service—it completely refreshed my impression of how Chinese restaurants abroad can be. Warm, attentive, and professional, it made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you are in Houston, this is a place you absolutely cannot miss.
Great food and beautiful atmosphere. Boiled beef was delicious. The shrimp dry pot and mapo tofu were my favorite!
March 2025 - I live in the neighborhood and ordered takeout from here since they opened this location. The restaurant itself is very nice and spacious and well decorated. It is built out with the right amount of decor and charm to reflect the food served. Dining in is great but the takeout is even better. I order here often and pick up. Service is great. The speed via which they get the order ready is equally fast. The dishes exceptional and a variety to choose from. I would recommend this place for dine-in or takeout. Not disappointed and will definitely order here often. The restaurant is located in a fairly new and modern strip mall with a few other dining options. Ample parking as well. Easy access from Richmond.
Sunday Brunch at Three Peppers — A Lazy Susan Love Story If you haven’t brunched at Three Peppers off Richmond in Houston, let me just say — I’ve never loved a Lazy Susan like I did that day. Four couples. Twelve dishes. A semi-private room that felt like our own little world of joy and chopsticks. We ordered everything — from Grandma’s Tofu to the silky eggplant dish, a pot of jasmine tea on rotation, and bowls of steamed white rice like soft little clouds circling the table. Every spin of that Lazy Susan felt like a plot twist — one delicious surprise after another. The food? Flawless. The service? Attentive and kind without hovering. The company? Laugh-out-loud good. If brunch had a soundtrack, ours was jazz and joy. Three Peppers, you’ve earned a permanent spot in our Houston favorites. 🌶️❤️
Great food, excellent service, i ordered to go a couple of times and the food was delicious and i finally decided to go into the restaurant with my daughter and the waiters were great, Great experience, will for sure come back
Saw this place with five star reviews and decided to try it given that it’s Chinese. The inside looks really nice and clean and great Ambience the service was fantastic and quick. The food tasted fresh. We also ended up getting the Matcha tea and the Thai tea both were Really good. I would highly recommend this place. We also got the lotus root cubes as well as the vegetarian spring rolls. Everything tasted really good.
Best Chinese food I have ever had. The triple pepper beef is perfect for people who like spicy food. The boiled beef was so moist that it melted in my mouth. Plain rice isn’t on the menu because it’s FREE, as much as you want. Can’t wait to come back!
This is my first time at this restaurant . Nice ambiance when you enter. Our waiter, Jeng, was very friendly & attentive. The food was cooked perfectly, delicious!, and reasonable. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
Very flavorful Sechzuan-style food. You can really taste the different spices used in each dish; the mala-type dishes were not overpoweringly numbing or lingered. I like that the plain rice is continuously offered in small personal bowls for no extra charge. The interior is clean, beautiful, and looks very high-end (and intimidating at first as someone who was dressed casually),so it was a surprise to find the price point so affordable! The staff were very nice and attentive; children are accommodated. It was not busy for dinner, because I think this is a brand new location for the franchise. I hope word gets out and more people visit this establishment. Will come back again to try other dishes!
Food is flavorful with good size portions. Great ambience with wonderful service. We enjoyed the dumplings and house special fried rice!
COME HERE!! I went here for my 21st Birthday the Staff were so sweet! They gave me a free brown sugar rice cake <3 food was delicious i got the general tso, it had lots of veggies with yummy cooked chicken. Atmosphere is good and so are the bathrooms!

Triple Pepper is hands down one of the best Sichuan restaurants I’ve tried in the U.S. The food is authentic, flavorful, and perfectly spicy—especially the mouthwatering chicken and beef with chili sauce. Portions are generous, dishes are beautifully presented, and everything tastes fresh. Service is friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone who loves bold, authentic Sichuan flavors!

Went to have a quick meal and ended up trying out a couple dishes and they were really good. 10/10 would recommend plus the Arnold Palmer and a great service!

I'm not from Houston, so who knows, maybe all the food in this city is mind-blowing like the dinner I had here tonight. Food was fantastic, service was great and very professional, and the place inside is simple but really beautiful. Overall not what I usually expect from a strip mall. I recommend the cauliflower main dish. Looks simple on the menu, but it is definitely not. Also the "jelly noodles" appetizer is almost dangerously addictive. I suspect everything is superb. Amazingly affordable too.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The décor is very nice and the place looks clean. The food portions are generous, and everything I tried tasted great. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. In addition, I forgot to take my receipt, and when I called a few hours later, they quickly texted me both the itemized receipt and the final receipt without any issue. I really appreciate their prompt and thoughtful help. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Very impressed with Triple Pepper. The salt and pepper spare ribs were the star of the show. Compared to other Sichuan restaurants, triple pepper is on the spicier side. Definitely would eat here again!
First time order from them spent around $60, didn't like the receptionist/waitress not so much at the front desk but the waiter was nice fast and efficient. The food is nice especially the taro milk tea. Top three similar Chinese restaurant in Houston: 1) Hu's Cooking (the service the taste everything is perfect) 2) Triple Pepper 3) LaoShiChuan
Used to be better. Had dinner there tonight with my family and we were disappointed with both the service and the food. Let’s preface this review by noting that the restaurant was not busy. Just a few tables occupied. Moving on to service: we were not offered water until after our food arrived. From the time we sat down to order was 10+ mins. They failed to bring one of the dishes we ordered. When reminded, they offered to no info. No apologies. Nothing. Once we asked for the bill, they never came around to collect. We had to walk it to the register. Next with food: ordered tea and it was bitter (water used was too hot for the leaves/flowers). Food was either overly seasoned (bothering salty) or bland. None of our dishes (6) stood out or enjoyable.
Went here today for the first time. This is basically a knock off Mala Sichuan Bistro. The food is very mediocre. The service is absolutely abysmal. All of our food and cocktails came out at vastly different times. We were never checked on for additional cocktails. The appetizers came out with the entrees. Everything about this place is a hard no in my book. Cocktails (the ones they actually brought to us and didn’t forget) were less than memorable. Mixed terribly. Do yourself a favor and just go to Mala. There is a reason they have a Michelin and this place doesn’t.
