I like this place. Cool vibe. Good service. Live music. Cheap drinks. Didn’t have any food so I can’t say. I recommend this place.
Great bar with really nice atmosphere and decor from artist that performed there. Music venue barcwith a couple of different stages both outdoor and indoor. Very large area that can accommodate a lot of people for live bands. You won't be parched with big bar areas with adequate staff that serves your favorite beverage with a smile. Highly recommend checking the calendar for live entertainment on the weekend or stopping in for a drink for a low key evening during the week.
We have never had food here & have been twice, both times having a table outside, appreciating the venue, bands, service, prices (in the day of everyone gouging), drink selection, & CLEAN restrooms! We appreciate you! Thank you. We will bring more friends back!
We were there to see Lacey Sturm perform. It's kind of a hidden and secluded place. It had great atmosphere and service. Although we were hoping to get some food and thinking it was a bar and grill, the only thing they had available were the food trucks outside the bar area. It's possible there's a different area for that.
Last visited OCT22, and what a journey to get to (we took a 4 hour road trip to visit) BUT what a hell of a spot tucked away off the main ridiculously busy cross way. HUGE outdoor area, moat, walking bridge, shaded, and super fun not to mention during our visit, we had Guajillo’s Tacos on-site which was absolutely exceptional quality. We’d happily go more regularly if it was closer. Definitely worth checking out and if some of your artists are coming to play, its worth the extra drive-time, you’ll have a blast at this unique venue.
Great experience!!! Music was awesome! Guest Speakers were amazing. Extra props to the saloon's owner for creating a venue at which there is such a casual approach bringing together Grammy winning Stars and everyday folks. Amazing layout for the stages. And they even provided non-alcoholic beverages, in a COVID Conscious manner. With Hand Sanitizer located within arms reach, as well. So glad I went! I'll definitely visit the Wildcatter Saloon again. Thanks again!!
Didn't have any food so no opinion in that category. Service was great and the place is rather nice. It gives you that locals hole in the wall hominess type feeling. Total recommend.
We visited for the first time this past weekend. It has a lot of outdoor space with enough seating (seating area was covered). I noticed two stages on opposite sides of the bar. They seem to have a lot of events/bands playing there. Inside the bar it's small, limited seating. You gotta get there early or it gets packed. Parking is limited too. Most people park anyway by the street. Service was good. Priced were reasonable for drinks. We tried their crawfish which was 3 lbs for 10 dlls that day. It was good but small in size, only a few medium-sized. It was ok for the price. At our table, we tried the bloody Mary. They feature a different one every week. Ours had a pot pie, it was good and I think they are really creative with this drink. They don't have a kitchen, and I only notice a taco stand outside(overpriced tacos, btw), no food trucks either. I have to mention that this bar is known to be a biker bar. I also noticed some kids, but not a lot. Our visit was from noon to 5ish. Overall, our experience was good. We may have to come back during a show to experience the night vibe.
The food truck wasn’t Wildcatters fault but they were mixing up orders and it took 30 minutes plus me reminding the guy to get our 2 quesadillas. Went to see Aaron Lewis. I have mixed feelings. Very intimate show, sound was great, ticket prices were fair, drinks were affordable. Seating was silly. Our ticket said row 4 or 5. You have to walk around and find your name but the rows are tiny so you need to shout at people to check the paper or crawl back and forth over folks laps. If you aren’t in the vip area, getting a drink is difficult, going to the bathroom from vip was a pain. All in all I had a great time, I just thought some things could be a little better streamlined or maybe it was just a bigger show than they were used to handling.
This is hidden gem off the beaten path! It is very rustic and expansive. Large outdoor areas and stages. I went with a friend to see an 80’s cover band (Mr. Wonderful) and it was awesome! There were so many different folks of all walks of life dancing and singing and just having a great time! The bar staff were quick and helpful. There is tons of parking and there are string lights every where so it’s fairly well lit. The only downside is the road down to it! There are potholes the size of my car! Lol
We enjoy going to Wildcatters. We always enjoy the outdoor concerts and indoor bands also. The food trucks are good and very convenient. The service when you’re sitting outside is great for getting drinks. They are quick to bring you your beer and it’s always cold and the mixed drinks are good too. However when we are inside for a band I have been at the bar several times waiting and the male bartender behind the bar is on his phone while people are waiting to have their drink orders taken. The female bartenders are quick to serve you and always help you out when they see that your drink is empty at the bar. We will be back. We love coming here, it’s close to home and always has a variety of bands scheduled
Great Osceola to enjoy a true Texan experience. The atmosphere is awesome and the staff is accommodating. Greatly enjoyed my time here. The drinks are good and the food is ideal after a few drinks. I am however disappointed in the performing guests. I was selected as the disabled veteran to recurve an autographed guest. Unfortunately, Aaron Lewis and his security didn't care about the decisions of the Wildcattery Saloon. They nicely escorted me away from the stage to the back of the crowd. I enjoyed the salion. Too bad their guest do not support their ideals. Also, make sure to bring mosquito spray if you will be outside. Thank you Wildcatterry, but after having enough drunk guest violate my space as a disabled guests, I will not be back.
I love going out and hearing live music and I like it even more when the music comes completely free of a cover charge and the setting is unique. This is what you get when you visit Wildcatter Saloon, a Katy establishment. Wildcatter Saloon is well- known for its appearance on the television show the Apprentice and I happened to be one of the people present in the audience when the show was being recorded. The establishment did undergo quite a change and most of those changes are still in place today and are still helping the establishment succeed. As I said, live music is one of the chief draws at Wildcatter Saloon. They have live music inside the main space, but they also sometimes have the bands take the stage outside and it is here that you can sometimes see better known musical artists perform. When this happens, you can naturally expect to pay some money, but it’s worth it to see some of these bands from yesteryear. Otherwise, when the music is on the inside, there is usually no additional money to pay so you can use your cash on more important things. Wildcatter Saloon has a food truck parked in the back, right next to its outdoor back patio. There is a pool table and other fun back here and it’s a good place to grab some fresh air. The food is often quite tasty and most will be pleasantly surprised by what they experience. One issue I have with Wildcatter Saloon is the beer selection. It’s really not that good and the last time I visited, there were exactly two beers that were worthy of my money. Wildcatter is really best if you like liquor, as the beer selection is weak. Prices aren’t bad, either, so I wouldn’t worry about that. The other problem many people have with Wildcatter Saloon is the location. It’s out of the way, back on a dead end street that is connected to the feeder/frontage road, which is a one way street. This can make it a challenge to find, but if you can make your way here, I recommend giving it a try. It’s got a country vibe and a look and feel like few other taverns in the Katy area and it’s one of the few places where you can experience live music for little or no additional cost.
Used to love wildcatter, such a fun place. But on New Year’s Eve my parents had went, and my mom had gotten roofied…guys cover and watch your drinks even when being made!!!
If you think of this place as a live music venue with a bar, you won't be disappointed. Parking is HORRIBLE but plentiful if you are OK parking in a field. The music is fantastic. The bar is basically run for the regulars, so most tables are reserved so ... like most other concerts I've been to... the VIP section is closed and it's standing room only for everyone else. The prices are fair. The cover charge is generally reasonable. The staff do a solid job of keeping the place from being too rowdy, but they can get a rough and tumble crowd. If you get on their mailing list, and you see a band you like, it's worth checking out... but not a great place to become a regular IMO. It's too inconvenient a location. I haven't tried to go to one of their main stage (outdoor stage that probably hosts 1000s...) but I'll leave that to the diehard concert goers. 4 stars as a concert venue, 3 stars as a bar/saloon.
