Tookie's is one of our favorite burger spots in the greater Houston area. We've been there before the bypass was built and the quality of their burgers never changed. Their burgers are juicy, the fries are fantastic, and the patio views are always good. They also have a good selection of beer and alcohol, some options for vegetarians, and a kid's menu. There's a little bit of something for everyone, the food and drinks are reasonably priced, and the service is awesome!

they just became our top 5 in hamburgers (actually #1) we been visiting burger spots every Friday for awhile now. this double meat with bacon soooo big only ate half. onion rings are bomb. chicken stripe juicy and that soft crust was delicious and paired well with the gravy. my country fried steak was too big I had to take some lettuce out. Definitely will be cummin back

Staff very friendly..as Always! Food came out hot, very quickly Salad fresh and crispy, Shrimp grilled to perfection They are very consistent with the quality and taste of the food, so I always know Tookies is a great spot. My boyfriend lives over an hour away and when he visits this is one of his first choices to eat ( he always gets a burger) 🍔

Visited for lunch today and was highly impressed! While the service was just okay, the food more than made up for it. We ordered the fried mushrooms and two cheeseburgers - one plain with just meat and cheese, and the other was a Tookie favorite, the #99. The patties were incredibly flavorful and well-sized for the price. We left with happy hearts and full bellies! Quick tip for future diners: fries are sold separately and don’t come with the burgers.

Fantastic experience. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Very responsive and attentive to customer needs. The food was perfect and delivered to our table quickly. Prices are super reasonable, especially for the quality of food they prepare.

We were greeted and welcomed when we entered the place, the food was great - hamburgers were unique & delicious, their famous giant onion rings were okay, wish they were battered up better cuz they were falling apart and had no flavor to them. Overall experience was fantastic, great service!

Love this rustic restaurant. Best fish sandwiches for miles ! We tried the Hulu Rings today, WINNER ! Thin sliced onion rings in a crispy batter, I like them much better than their thick cut ones.

First time back to visit since they moved to the new location. We ordered the pelican eggs as our appetizer and The Bean Burger 🍔 was just simply amazing. The service staff member was very nice and friendly and made sure our visit was memorable. We will have to go back again next time we go to Kemah.

(5-26-25) We haven't been in for a bit, sadly - life & all. That said, the burgers are always top shelf. I don't recall being anything but pleased with the food, from TC, to the old Kemah place, to the current location. Legitimately awesome food for the 4 decades that I've had it. Today, though, our waitress, Maren made it even better. From absolute flawless attention to multiple tables, to a consistent request to turn on the train, she was on top of it all. Even kept our drinks more than well attended. An absolute gem! We'll try to get back a bit quicker next time, but I can't brag enough about today's visit.

Tookie’s Hamburgers located in Kemah, Tx is a must visit location for a delicious burger!! The menu is extensive, they will also make your burger to order. Do not miss this great place to eat. If the weather permits sit outside and enjoy hearing the seagulls overhead, but keep your eyes on your food. The black birds are always present and waiting to steal a fry or two. The staff is amazing friendly and happy to offer great recommendations. My waitress Maureen was amazing, she greeted me with a warm smile, took my order precisely and was always available in case I needed anything.

We came by for lunch on a Tuesday about 1:30. The place was not crowded, and we were seated immediately. Menus are on the table, and after a good look, we ordered the onion rings the squealer burger followed by a shake, which was the flavor of the month and for this day it was the Keylime pie. The squealer burger has ground bacon in it, and when you eat the burger, you really get the flavor of the bacon. It was an excellent burger. The onion rings were very large flavorful and the coating didn’t fall off in your hands. The shake was delicious and it had a Keylime pie rim on the glass. My wife and I split the hamburger and the waitress “Jessica” brought out an extra plate and had the hamburger cut for us. We also split the shake and she brought out the shake in two separate glasses. The place has easy access right off of the highway. You don’t have to go into the Kema neighborhood. It has outside seating if you want that overlooks the water. If you eat inside, there are lots of window so you can still enjoy the view. We really enjoyed our time here and we look forward to coming back and trying more menu items. You can’t beat the price or the quality. We will definitely be back.

From out of town on vacation and a coworker recommend this place and it did not disappoint. Had a basic cheeseburger, fries, and vanilla shake and all good. The biggest star was the burger, honestly one of the best burger I've had. Probably a Top 5 burger. The vanilla shake was next best, very creamy. Only negatives I had was dishes are "al a carte" so you paid for each dish, so the fries did not come with the burger as most places do. Even with that was an okay price as you get good quality. Other negative I have was parking, it's limited and hard to near the building but there is parking along the street leading to it as well. Overall though I good place and i would suggest going if in the area.

The food here is excellent, even though a bit on the high side. They really know how to cook and display the meals. There is also large portions, and all four of us ended up taking boxes home. The waitress was very attentive to our needs, refilled our drinks as needed, and looked at us when she walked by to make sure we didn’t need anything more. The decor in the restaurant is very on point with the location, Very festive and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. If you would like a good meal, it is worth making the stop.

Went specifically to have a cheeseburger - after seeing the spot on tv recently about the quality and how delicious the food was; especially the burgers. Sadly, it wasn’t worth the 45 minute drive. I ordered the classic, my buddy ordered the Champion; both with the ground beef being so salty that we questioned whether the cook dropped the salt shaker on the grill. Fried mushrooms were great and so was the malt I ordered. I’ll come back at some point, but it definitely won’t be for the burgers.

What a terrible experience. What a rip off. There's nothing good to say about this place. We ordered a pitcher of Texas beer for a Tuesday night special of $5.00 off. Come to find out the pitcher of beer was $18.00. Good grief. Makes me feel stupid to think that's supposed to be a good deal. The burger was lousy and the fries are lousy. McDonald's has way better food.
