Lanai City Grill

I had the fish sando with a side of potato spuds. The fish of the day was ahi, which was very delicious. The potato spuds were great but there were lots of small potato skin that were too crisp to eat. We then topped off the meal with pineapple upside down cake. It was so yummy. I really enjoyed the crème brûlée-like caramel on the top of the cake. I would come back again and would recommend for anyone who visits lanai.

Wish we had found this place sooner during our stay on the island. Most affordable and delicious drinks and food! The staff and owner were all amazing and personable. We went for happy hour and stayed for the live music and friendly atmosphere! Highly recommend!!

We arrived after-hours to Hotel Lana'i on Christmas Day and had to self check-in as the front desk was already closed. Christian and team, who operate the onsite restaurant which was already closed for the day, noticed and kindly came out to check if we needed any help. When we sheepishly asked if the kitchen was still open (despite it being evidently closed), Christian offered to fire up some burgers upon thoughtfully noticing that my wife was pregnant - which just so coincidentally was what she had been craving all day. .. And what a meal it was! The thoughtfulness of Christian and team was expressed throughout the meal, in the homemade toasted bun and smashed ground beef patties. The thick patties were flavorful and had a satisfying chew in every bite. The salad was crisp, fresh and served with a heap of croutons. The shoestring fries were generously portioned and well-prepped, such that they were not too greasy or salted. We cannot thank Chef Christian and team enough for comforting two hungry travelers upon our arrival in Lana'i, even though they were well within reason to turn us away. What made everything even better is that they served up, on especially short notice, one of the best meals we have had on our trip in Hawai'i so far. Christmas truly came alive at Lanai City Bar & Grill tonight, as we turn in with our hearts and stomachs full.

Few places these days feel “worth it” when I sign my final check. This place does. The heart of palm salad leaves me dreaming about it and the venison sausage is super balanced in flavor and texture. The drinks are fantastic and consistently made. I wish there were more restaurants like this around in Maui.

This restaurant was the highlight of our trip to Lanai! We stayed at the four seasons and loved LCBG so much we came back all 4 nights of our stay. The food is impeccable and service fantastic, with live music and a warm atmosphere. Chandler the chicken is the star of the show (for company, not to eat). Would travel the 11 hours to Lanai from NYC just to eat here again!

Very nice atmosphere, we enjoyed the live music and friendly staff. We had the seafood platter for my sister's birthday celebration. It was delicious! Tried a variety of speciality drinks. They were all very tasty. Definately recommend visiting!

Amazing food! Fried rice is action don’t leave the island without trying it. The Smoked Mahi sandwich is well balanced and the banana peppers sweetens the deal. Hele on down.

Such great staff and great food my favorite is the avocado toast and the breakfast sandwich with the deer sausage. Also Ubbe mochi pancake is great.

YOU SHOULD COME HERE! yes — even if you’re staying at sensei or four seasons. COME! the staff are the nicest people in the world, the food is to die for (i got ahi burger and heart of palm salad - *chefs kiss*) and there’s live music (every night i think!) had the best best time. they even have a cocktail named after me. go and enjoy!!!

This place is great! Live music at 6pm and great happy hour options! And the service is great too. And awsome atmosphere. Gets crowded on the weekends.

Everything you see in the photo was so good that we went back a few days later and ordered the exact same thing. Great food, friendly staff, the outdoor patio is a very welcoming environment.

Let me start by saying, I don’t write reviews. However, when you are toggling between 2 Four Seasons resorts on the island and we choose to leave to eat at this local gem, for 3 nights already…..I just had to write a review!!!! The food is excellent and the service is second to none. Every single person that works here makes you feel like your friends. Everyone cares about your experience and takes the time to make you feel special. Did I mention that the food is amazing. Everything we have has left us wanting to come back and try something else. We haven’t been disappointed yet, the only problem is that eventually we need to leave and are sad that this isn’t our local bar and grill where we live. Come here, you will NOT be disappointed!!!!!!!!!

We came for dinner on a Tuesday, without reservations, and they were busy! They gave us a small wait time (about 30 min) and we took a seat outside. Within 5 min we were provided a table and amazing cocktails, food and excellent service. The three of us left and the conversation our entire venture back to the house surrounded how absolutely perfect our evening was. Thank you for sneaking us in, we will be back again before we leave, and then probably again.. Mahalo!

We had the opportunity to stay last month at the hotel and dine at what we now say is our favorite restaurant in all of the Hawaiian islands! Lanai City Bar & Grill offers an extraordinary dining experience that is nothing short of Michelin-quality. The ambiance is elegant yet inviting, including live local music. The service was impeccable. The chef was both attentive and knowledgeable, guiding us through his recommendations with enthusiasm and expertise. As for the food, it is simply exceptional. Each plate is a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavors that highlight the freshest ingredients. The chef clearly possess an unparalleled mastery of their craft, offering a range of dishes that are inventive yet grounded in tradition. Every bite was a revelation. Lanai City Bar and Grill has something for everyone, whether you are into live music, a few drinks with friends and colleagues, or just some amazing food! It’s ranging prices has some picks for what you’re feeling that day without breaking the bank (I love the catch of the day!) between the amazing food/gracious hospitality/live music/and of course chandler (the local rooster) this place will leave you floating on air. I choose Lanai City Bar and Grill over and over again simply because it feels like home. Everyone should have it at least once for a heavenly experience!

I cannot recommend Lanai City Bar & Grill highly enough! Hands down, best food and dining experience we had on our Hawaii Christmas trip. Do make reservation as they're booked during the holiday. We're fortunate enough to get a table for the 7 fishes dinner & Christmas day brunch. Foods were soo good that we ended up returning several more times for dinner during our stay in the island. It also helps that the dining room is elegant yet warm and cozy, the type where you feel like you're in a friend's house. And that's indeed the type of welcoming service we and our 10 mo old baby received. As for the foods, each meal were so flavorful with the freshest ingredients. I still dream of their hearts of palm salad & grilled catch of the day! And don't sleep on those Pineapple Parker Rolls with that magical honey miso butter! We'll be back LCBG!

special spot. our order was parker rolls calamari (unique and amazing) shrimp scampi (not a huge scampi guy, but this was perfection) japanese sweet potato desert our waiter rec'd..... we trusted the process the entire menu and it was awesome side note - best moscow mule i have ever had in my life. the bartender presses his own ginger and makes his own syrup. live music was great / great vibes all around / good atmosphere esp the outdoor area very friendly and attentive staff.

Recently visited from NYC, my wife and I stayed nearby at the Sensei resort and made reservations here on Tuesday night (unexpectedly Taco Tuesday) the fish tacos were the best ones I’ve had in Hawai’i! The upside down pineapple cake and ice cream was also incredible - I have dreams about it. Great beer selection as well, and surprisingly fast service once seated when the place was almost completely full. We went back for brunch late Thursday morning, there was way less people and it almost felt like we were dining at friends house rather than a restaurant. Unfortunately the deck was still under construction so we couldn’t eat outside, but the vibes inside were also great. We had latte’s that were honestly the best my wife and I had during our stay on Lana’i and Kauai’i. For food, the breakfast burrito with deer sausage, and shrimp in grits were just what we needed to send us on our way home. All in all, really glad we made the choice to stop here and we’ll be back!!!

Came for taco night while visiting Lanai. I had a carne asada burrito and I think it was the best burrito I’ve ever had. I grew up in Texas and have been to Mexico multiple times, but I honestly believe that somehow the tastiest burrito I’ve come across was here in Lanai. I totally didn’t expect it, and I’m honestly a bit dumbfounded. This place is great and the staff seem to work really hard to provide incredible food, great service and a unique atmosphere.

My friend. You gotta eat here. We had lunch here while on our day trip to Lanai. The plantation tea was the perfect balance of sweet with a very complimentary dose of pineapple. The brisket dip sandwich was so good. You could tell it was smoked just the night before. The greens were very fresh and the dressing hit just right. The smoked mahi sandwich was one of the best fish sandwiches we've ever had. The potato-mac salad was one of the best in Hawaii. The kids chicken fingers were juicy, the perfect crisp and nicely seasoned. The kids burger was (I assume) very good and a great price. I unfortunately didn't get to try a bite as my picky 9 year old turned ravenous when I tried to snag some. The desert brownie was moist and fudgey. A perfect finish. The ambiance was a perfect island vibe and not too busy.

Enjoyed a very pleasant dinner experience! Food, service, and atmosphere was outstanding! Hope to experience again soon!

Had the most amazing lunch there today. Greek salad with chicken was 10/10! Healthy and absolutely delicious. I am so excited to go there regularly for not only for dinner, but now for lunch and breakfast as well.

Love this place- the welcoming trendy atmosphere when you walk in is amazing. The food was SO GOOD. Had the pork tacos and shrimp tacos.. huge portions and delicious. We also had the fish catch of the day and tuna tostada. So fresh. Drinks were amazing too (margaritas, Paloma’s and the watermelon beer). Our favourite part of the restaurant was the live music.. a local artist performed an acoustic set and even took song requests. Had all the bar dancing in their seats and singing along!!

This place was so amazing we ended up going three nights in a row. The food is phenomenal. Everyone was super nice and having a great time. It was also a nice escape from Nobu at the hotels (love Nobu but not every night). Highly recommend having dinner or even just drinks.

We were staying at the four seasons lanai beach resort and came up here one night for dinner. It was a Tuesday and at first we were disappointed they only serve a limited, Mexican themed menu on Tuesday but it did not disappoint - the beets, Parker rolls, grilled octopus tacos and pork tacos were some of the best food we’ve had on lanai - better than anything at the four seasons! They had a good wine selection and craft beers were only $6. The service was incredible as well. 10/10 recommend - I wish we planned more nights eating here! Ps. The Hawaiian ube dessert was out of this world good too.

Find your way to this place while on the island. We stopped in after a hike and they were nice enough to make us smash burgers even though they were between lunch and dinner. Staff could not be nicer, the place is beautiful, and the food was excellent.

An amazing meal in a great setting. The menu had enough variety to please just about anyone, and everything we tried was fantastic. I particularly liked the poke tastada and the burger was great. The bone in pork and potatoes was super hearty and delicious too. The service was super friendly and the live music was fantastic. Can't recommend this place enough. One of the best meals we have had on any of the Islands, and that's a high bar.

Literally the BEST lunch I’ve ever had!! The smash burger is the best burger ever. Truly outstanding. The shoestring fries are perfectly cooked and salted, the pineapple coleslaw is so fresh tasting and a delicious Hawaiian twist on it. I am a bit of a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur, DO NOT MISS IT. It’s perfection. The ice cream tastes homemade. And the service is so so friendly and welcoming. They even have some unique liquors, the Hawaiian coconut rum was fantastic. Dont miss this gem!!

I was there for dinner with my son on Wednesday. The quality of food positively surprised me. It is top notch, on par with Four Seasons restaurants. The menu is pretty extensive and the wine list have some amazing and rare choices. I got a Brut Zero Champagne for dinner. Also Hearts of Palms - is a must! Absolutely amazing (we ordered a 2nd portion). And be careful with desserts - the portions are pretty big. At 6-00pm they started live music outside. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays, and they have Taco Tuesdays- with Taco menu. The service is great - very friendly and welcoming. We definitely will be back! So if you are on Lanai, do not overthink it - just go there, and you won't be sorry.

Cute place but it was so loud I couldn’t hear my husband. The oysters were super fresh and delicious! The burger was bland. The fish of the day was fresh, wasn’t a fan of the butter sauce, it didn’t taste like brown butter. The chicken was tender. Sad they no longer have chicken wings or burrata.

Everything was good but something felt off. Being from Oahu, I expected a better custom service experience. The best I can describe it, It felt a bit cold. On the positive side, the food both for dinner and breakfast was great and the pricing is reasonable. And there's live music on most evenings.

I recently visited Lanai Bar and Grill and had a decent experience. The food was delicious and flavorful, and the atmosphere was lively and inviting. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure our needs were met throughout our meal. However, there were a couple of drawbacks that prevented me from giving it a full 5 stars. Firstly, the portion sizes were smaller than I expected, especially they stated it as "big plates" on the menu. I left feeling satisfied but not fully full, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, Lanai Bar and Grill is a great spot for anyone looking for tasty food, a fun atmosphere, and great service. Just be aware that the portions might be smaller than expected, and the menu options are limited. Pros: Delicious food, friendly staff, lively atmosphere Cons: Small portion sizes, limited menu options.

The pōkē Tostada (not recommendedfor more than 2 people, if sharing), Prawn Aguachile, Steak Frites, Scampi, Upside-down Pineapple Cake.... just to name a few dishes that were delicious and seasoned perfectly! Great service by our server, attentive but not intrusive, and he wasn't trying to rush us out of there. Only feedback is, turn the music down so we could hear the people on our table. Don't get me wrong, he was good but too loud for an indoor setting.

Came here a few times while being back home. Brought my family here for the first time for my birthday, however it was not such a wonderful experience. Got my order wrong, failed to give a spoon for our ice cream sundae, and waited quite a while for our orders. But totally understandable since it was a busy night. Other than that, I love the food and drinks!
