The first time here was on 12/9/2023. I have heard the rave reviews and recommendations of the sandwiches here. Love a good pastrami sandwich and had to see if it lived up to the hype. Well, the Mojave Pastrami did not disappoint. The French roll is soft and fresh, the pastrami is lean and very flavorful, and the deli mustard gives it that nice flavor that plain yellow mustard does not. The swiss cheese is also nicely melted on the sandwich. I did not have pickles on mine, but my wife said they were good. Would definitely be back to get this one again and try other things as well.

I requested a special version of their vegetarian sandwich. I added the hot mushrooms and peppers with the melted mozzarella and wow it’s amazing.

Sandwich shop. Has gift items like specialty Dijon mustards and honey I believe. They are 1 of 2 locations locally that serve boars head meat, considered a luxury meat from Publix in Florida. The staff was young and mostly kind. The greeting could have been better and the young man didn't need to be cussing in front of customers but ill assume it was a one time honest mistake. They let me walk around taking photos and video without bothering me which was very kind. And allows me to leave a thorough review. They had a standard soda machin but instead of raspberry brisk they had plain brisk sweet tea and it was so delicious. They had a supplementary drink machine for other tea I believe and a drink fridge as well. Met one of the owners, he stopped to chit chat with me. I think he said he was in the military service which is commendable, thank you sir. Many little black metal tables to sit and eat at. It was clean inside, well kept. I got a Ruben sandwich with all the toppings. It comes with a wrapped spear pickle too. Overall it was a simple but enjoyable visit. We do reccomend you try it. In lancaster. Lots of parking in front of location. Close to the highway. Handicap accessible. Don't forget chips and a candy machine and high chair available for kids. You might pay around 15$ for most sandwiches. It's good quality and good service.

This is my favorite sandwich shop! I stop here whenever I am in the area and am never disappointed! The Chicken Bacon Ranch Panini is absolutely delicious. The price and wait time reflect the quality and care put into each sandwich.

A great sandwich. I stopped in one Sunday after church to try this place out. The bread is fresh, the meat and vegetables are delicious, and the service is fast and friendly. I would highly recommend dropping by if you are in the mood for a sandwich.

My husband and I stumbled upon this place and the sandwiches are AMAZING! It’s worth the price. My only complaint is we have done online ordering twice and both times they have forgotten our pickles.

Ordered a hot pastrami and it was the best one I've ever had! $30 for a combo is a little pricy but it was delicious and i will definitely be eating here more often.

Glass topped tables looked like they had not been cleaned (smudged) and chairs setting back from tables which have an overall look of clutter. Floor did not look like it had been swept. Will probably go back again to see if I just visited immediately after a busy period. The food makes it worth going back. There was only one other (takeout) customer when I entered. My order was to eat in , they packed it in a go bag . As stated, will go back again for the food , it was good

The spicy deli mustard and the spicy Chipotle on the chicken sandwich added some good flavor. I might go a little lighter on it next time though. We will have to come back and try some of the other sandwiches, there were a lot to choose from. Definitely give them a shot 👍🏼

Been here a couple of times and every time there is something a little off. Sides are left out, paninis are cold, or details missed in some way or another. The food is good and fresh, but I would give 5 stars if they paid attention to the details. I feel other local delis do the little details better, with food that is just as fresh and customer service is better.

Let me be clear when I say the owners are what disappointed me not the staff. Girl up front cute red head super sweet so helpful the young man in the back with long hair was extremely sweet as well. I ordered 1 sandwich and my friend ordered hers then a family behind us ordered. They had several sandwiches. So I got to wait 30 min for one sandwich because the owner knew the ppl behind us so they got their food first. she went out of her way to give them theirs first. Being in the service industry for as long as I have I know how unfair that is. Every customer should be treated the same. The blonde owner of dessert deli should really learn how ticket timing works.

Most of the food is actually pretty good unfortunately the price is almost prohibitively expensive and they often don’t know what’s on their menu

Save your money and go to Jersey Mikes. First and last time going to this store. It’s cool that it’s local but that doesn’t mean charge an arm and leg for a little sandwich. On top of that they don’t even make sure everything is there what you ordered, so do yourself the favor and check.

Here has been my experience with Desert Deli: -I have ordered from here 5 times since 08/14/25 and always get the same order - a phantom Italian, dry, with only meat, cheese, and lettuce for toppings. -3 out of the 5 orders were prepared incorrectly, adding condiments, and required remaking. This happens often enough on previous work trips to the area that I generally check the order before leaving and will just ask them to remake before leaving if an issue is found. -Today, I got the same order and everything appeared ok and I left to go back to work, but after taking a few bites it became apparent that they had added some sort of condiment and after inspecting the bread, it looks as though they just tried to scrape it off instead of getting new bread, leaving behind a flavorful residue. I can understand being lazy and wanting to save costs but I don't need to appreciate it making my $20 sandwich taste bad. It has gotten old having to ask them to regularly correct an order that is relatively simple. Throwing out half of a $20 sandwich is lame and the food isn't THAT much better here than at Jersey Mike's, I will be avoiding in the future unless I have time to wait for the order to made twice, not something for a quick lunch break pickup for sure. Outside of the orders being made incorrectly 60% of the time, they also struggle with efficiently managing the pickup orders, requiring everyone to wait in line behind people placing orders instead of arranging a pickup area or 2nd line option to expedite orders to go.
