This place has my new best philly cheese steak sandwich. The wings are out standing try the salt and vinegar.
Place is amazing! Great staff and service! The wings are the best in the capital region. Great place to catch a game as well.
Great local spot. Had chili and wings and both were excellent. Plenty of beers to choose from.
Yup. This place absolutely justified having THE WINGS be its own menu called THE WINGS. Wow. Stupid-good. Like, maybe the best I’ve ever had. The burgers are absolutely solid 1/2lb pub burgers. In this world of growing stacked smash-burgers and thin patties, sometimes you find yourself wanting a big old pub burger. Also, they have so many different styles of fries! And they’re all great! We’re gonna try to make our way through the menu over the next couple years, because what a treat! We sat on checking this place out for years, and all I can say is that we’re kicking ourselves for all the wasted time! Now we know! Also, the staff was perhaps the most pleasant and friendly and helpful we’ve ever had. So many beers! Great stuff, will have to try some cocktails next time. Big ol bar with ample counter space and hooks for coats and bags too. A++ experience.
THE wings 🤤. There's a reason they labeled them "The Wings" instead of Ruined all future wings for me. Absolutely nothing beats these wings or their variety of FANTASTIC and unique sauces. Personal sauce favorites so far (as a person that could eat wings every single day of her life) - 1. The Goat (Lemon Pepper w/ Garlic Parm) 🤤🤤 2. The Dizzy (Moonshine w/ Melba). 🤤 My partner's personal favorites so far (as a guy that typically only prefers classic Buffalo sauce) - 1. Bleu Moon (Blue cheese dressing w/ Moonshine) His favorite "by a landslide." 2. My Boy Bleu (Blue cheese dressing w/ Mild)
Really nice atmosphere and excellent food. Had wings for myself, and my wife had the Rachel, and both were top notch. Everything came out quick, and we had no complaints. The only thing we wondered at was why there wasn’t another server helping out. From what we saw, there was only one waitress working with multiple tables and people at the bar. She was incredible, but it seemed to be asking a lot of a single person to cover everything. Other than that, no criticisms. Great place, and we’ll definitely go back.
Went to Beer Bones Taproom for some drinks and dinner and was genuinely blown away by the quality of the food and drinks. My boyfriend knows way more about beer than I do and loved the menu. I ordered an old fashioned which was perfection. But check out these sandwiches. The first was a tuna steak sandwich with wasabi and veggies. The tuna was cooked to perfection. My sandwich was a portobello with peppers and chevre. The chef shared that the kitchen is undergoing some changes so the menu is limited to appetizers, salads, and burgers/sandwiches but he should be adding more soon. Definitely going back.
I found this joint after looking for a cool post-work happy hr spot. Beer selection was on point, craved a Gose and luckily they had a tasty one on tap. For food I had the Chicken n Hots (Kelly’s rec) and it was BANGIN. Both the food and beer were top notch, not to mention reasonably priced.
I live in Austin but have visited Beer Bones just about every trip back East for several years, including last night. This is one of those spots I am delighted survived the pandemic shutdowns, and even better, has thrived and improved. The draft beer list and atmosphere is still solid, the 16 or so taps well-curated, and the cooler full of local and regional favorites in cans and bottles for onsite or takeaway consumption. But the menu is much bigger, much better, and much more adventurous. This is not just simple pub grub! Example? My choice of Pork OssoBucco on the bone that was fork tender, juicy and flavorful, perfectly seasoned over homemade mashed potatoes., Companions ordered a classic Lobster Roll that looked perfect, and Shrimp Tacos that were delicious as well. They've added grilled salmon, several burgers and sandwiches and expanded the starters as well. It can get a bit noisy, with tile walls, concrete floors and a spirited crowd, but nothing too challenging. Fast friendly service too, with knowledgeable beertenders behind the bar. Tucked in a somewhat nondescript strip of stores, this gem might be easy to miss, but is well worth seeking out.
Love Beer Bones! Love the rotating menu of draft beer from local breweries. If you can't find something there you like, there is also a large selection of canned beers. The menu is so unique and has a little bit of everything. One of our staples is the Chicken N Hots. Just the right amount of heat and so delicious! I recently tried the mojito watermelon salad and was not disappointed. The service is great too; Always very friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend.
It was my friend and I first time attending this establishment and we both agree that this is an underrated very nice secret spot 👍. We drive by it all the time and the look of it from outside just draws the interest of any passerby. They mainly specialize in beers and have sixteen different drafts on tap which changes approximately every week or so. Nick was our bartender and he was truly amazing. Thank you Nick! We will definitely be coming back. He spun us up on the history of the establishment with how far in which it came from. June is their anniversary party and this year will be four years. The establishment is very clean, spacious and has a very nice interior design. They also have beers for sale in cans. It is a nice spot to sit and socialize or even grab a bite to eat! By far one of the best far foods I've seen. Their menu is quite diverse and the presentation of some of the different foods speaks volume. (Couldn't take pics of other people's food). We ordered thr birria Tacos and they were amazing 🌮 😋. There is also a patio outback in which you can go eat, drink and socialize. One thing I found interesting is that they have gold plates on the wall with the engravings of customers names who completed the 100 beer challenge. If you drink 100 different beers in the span of a year, you can get your name engraved on a gold plate and placed on the wall. Pretty cool of you ask me. My friend started and only 97 more to go! 🍻
I truly enjoy what they have going on here. There is a great selection of craft beer on tap and in their coolers. I purchased two 16oz beers $7 each and a crowler to go for $17. The atmosphere is really modern and the establishment is very clean. The customer service is great and they have some cool events there on the schedule. I pass this place every day coming home from work. I may have to make it a staple to stop in more frequently 🍻
The staff were awesome. Great service. Food was delicious and was served in a timely manner. Considering there were quite a few people there. If I wasn't just vacationing, I would make that a weekly stop for dinner.
Tucked into a strip mall/plaza, this place offers good stout options and yummy brick oven pizza. Also love the burrata appetizer. The place is never full, and I’ve gone early afternoon and evening. Had some chats with the chef and bartender, both seem great. I e noticed some patrons come in just to access the beer in the cooler in the back to take home.
Went for trivia, small place but great service, atmosphere, and food! Meatloaf was one of the best I've had, and that gravy was amazing, full of flavor other than just salt and pepper! The caprese chicken sandwich was good, pickles not so much. The beer selection was great and the staff was working hard and very attentive with how busy it was!
First time trying Beer Bones and unfortunately we won't be back. Starting with positives, the place is CLEAN! No dust or grime in sight. Dim lighting with casual seating and somewhat busy for a Thursday night. Very cozy even with board games available. The server was also attentive and polite and knowledgeable. I didnt know what drink I wanted but I described what I liked and he found me the perfect beer. Also kept us with us regularly throughout the night while busy. A great server and bartender. The food is where things went wrong. We ordered the appetizer pretzel with beer cheese and my fiancé got a Beer Bones Cheesesteak which he enjoyed except for the small portions and maybe a bit more cheese. I got the bacon bleu cheese burger and both entrees came with what tasted like tostito chips straight out of the bag. The burger had one strip of bacon with a bleu cheese sauce that had zero essence of bleu cheese. It was also kind of cold and soaked entirely in grease which is normally great for burgers. Except this grease had an aura of frozen patty. The cheesesteak was finished because it was only half a hoagie and lightly loaded, reportedly passable flavor but small portion. The pretzels were good and the beer cheese was flavorful but lightly mixed and needed a little help fully melding. I took a few bites of the burger but admittedly couldn't finish it to the point we didnt need to go boxes. My fiancé also got sick the next day at work so take that as you will. All in all the atmosphere, servers and options are on point especially with the bar. The kitchen needs a little help with execution. Fantastic place to drink and hangout, not a great dinner date.
Beer bones is a shell of what made it great. It went from a great Craft Beer location with awesome food to your average sports bar with okay food. Beer Bones was always a special place for us as we were there when it first opened. We always loved the vibe now it's just your average bar nothing remarkable has the same 10 beers on tap that everywhere else has. RIP OG Beer Bones Taproom.
I never like to leave negative reviews, however, I feel it’s my obligation to steer people in the right direction. Beer Bones is certainly not the right direction. The only reason I’m granting 2 stars is because of the mediocre rotating draft list which is heavily IPA weighted. The food, which is highly priced, I would not consider eating again if I was paid. The chicken sandwich was overly breaded with a soaking bun and oversized thinly cut chicken breast. The burger was drowned in Dijon Mustard and falling apart; lacking any cohesive qualities (as depicted in the photo). The restaurant itself filled with thick and oily smoke from the kitchen only after prepping 3 dishes (served to my table). More than likely the smoke is from an unclean and improperly vented kitchen, as the staff members went without being phased from the smoke. Easily in my top 3 worst dining experiences.
