Great food and cocktails. Very reasonably priced menu. The staff was friendly and attentive
First time visiting this restaurant. The food was delicious. Decor and ambience perfect and Lisa our server was fun, engaging and knowledgeable about the menu.
I had the pleasure of dining at Milano and was completely blown away. The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant, and the staff was welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. It’s rare to find a place where everything just clicks, but Milano truly delivered. Whether you’re going for a casual night out or a special occasion, I highly recommend Milano. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
An Albany gem! Or Loudonville actually :) I've been dining here every week, for the last six months. Milano is always happening, has a great bar that always has people chatting away, nice crowd of people who are interesting to talk to. Thursday nights are always bumping, with a more hip crowd. The management is very attentive. The GM is always there to greet, check on you, and I see her working, bringing out food, and taking the time to get to know each guest. The wait staff is excellent. Marissa is simply the best. If I miss a week she notices! And the bartender is amazing, a real talent, totally staying on top of the bar at all times, with her drinks creative and delightful. I brought the my team from my office and they did not want to leave. I personally love the burrata for a starter and then the salmon, but the best is their pizza and bread. They have a great pizza oven and their Margarita pizza is to die for. I order an extra and take it home! Their chef's fish specials are really good ,as well as their pasta choices.
Anyone that gives this place less than 4 stars needs a mental health competency exam. The Food is always excellent, the ingredients the freshest and the open concept of the kitchen area makes it feel homey. If your paying attention to the Chefs personal conversations you get what your asking for. I found both chefs very engaging and genuinely dedicated to their work. I had buccatini, the Mrs. Chix marsala. We split a bruchetta that was out of this world. Cheese cakes for dessert and a couple of Irish coffees. I would go out of my way to eat here. Prices are comparable. It's interesting that the kind of people that complain about prices here feel comfortable spending $18 on chix wings in a bar. Kinda speaks for itself.
First meal out since quarantine began 5 months ago! Great food, friendly service but let's be honest just getting out and about at this point is going to be 5 stars. The food was delicious though and with outdoor seating you can still feel comfortable and safe with all this craziness about.
Met a couple of friends for dinner. Service was excellent. Food was good. I had the chicken saltimbocca which was good but burned around the edges. The brocollini and potatoes were cooler than room temp. Still very good but it may be because they were busy.
Nice atmosphere and a good menu with something for everyone. Thet have a nice patio for outdoor seating. The beer menu is lacking. Service was pretty good but could've been faster since they werent busy. Pizza was good but pasta was hard/al dente. The bread and oil were the best part of the meal.
My wife and I had lunch here. Although the lunch menu isn’t very big, what we had was really good. The Kilcoyne farm burger and the chicken quesadillas. The burger was cooked perfectly and the service was excellent. The meal with two drink cost $55 tip included. I only gave 4 stars though because I wish there was more to offer on the menu. Other than that it was great.
We came for their Valentine's day menu. Pros Steak was excellent Risotto was great Cheesecake was light and good. Margherita tasted like it was pretty heavy on the alcohol. Cons: Our big complaint was they had menu items we were looking forward to and they were out of stock on them. The waitress took the order of a party who was seated after us. Then told us they were out of some items. The party that was seated after us ended up ordering the last of it Waitress never came back to refill drinks. Creme Brulee was overcooked and burnt.
Great food, terrible service. Waiter came to the table once to take the order, then to drop the check off. $18 glass of wine was put in a dirty (smelly) glass. Experience was not good overall, but food quality was excellent, but considering overall, way too expensive.
A group of us made reservations for valentines day. Our table was ready and we were seated immediately. The tables are very close together without much room to get through and it made it very loud. Our server was very scattered and seemed overwhelmed. They had a special menu to order from each person selected an appetizer, main course and dessert. Overall the flavor was just not there in any of the dishes and servings were extremely small. There are many good restaurants in the capital district, unfortunately this isn't one of them.
If we hadn't asked to be seated and served, we'd still be looking at each other. At lunch, clearly understaffed. Too bad, it's actually a nice place.
Food was very good. Portion size was just ok. Problem was the $4 slit charge because my wife and I shared their large saled, which was super small for a total of $19 for that saled. My wife and I eat out 8-10 times per month at all different places and I have never heard of that before. First time there and because they didn't offer a side saled with the meal or for a fee we thought that a large one was to big for both of us to get separate ones, so we decided to slit it. Not being petty over $4, just the fact that we payed for it why would they care if my wife eats it or I eat it. I would understand a plate charge if it was a buffet or something, but it's not.
Bread was right out of the refrigerator, it was so cold. Burrito salad was very bland. Needed salt or EVOO...something. I've always had it served to me warm, this was cold and broken open. Chicken parm was off....Received about 1/8 cup of pasta under the chicken breast, so little of a portion you couldn't see the pasta. Nothing special and chicken parm was bland also. Tables were so close together, people next to us felt as if they were sitting with us ! Not going back, so dissapointed for a $160.00 dinner.
