Best views from any McDonald's in the country 👌

The wife and I have stop for breakfast and lunch at this McDonald's over the year's of driving up and down the 395. Though things have changed a bit in regards to the way service is offered, never had any real issues in regards to my order accuracy and quality. This has been a roadside favorite for the wife and I and has practically become a tradition of a sorts to stop at!

The nice girl from the drive thru brought my food out to me and I forgot to ask for ketchup at the dt window and said I have to go in for condiments and she said "no sir, I put ketchup and salsa in your bag for you." Food was complete and hot!! Be back in a couple of weeks.

After a three hour drive this privately owned Mac Donald's was very modern. You ordered on the kiosks and picked up your order at the counter. We arrived immediately after a hoard of high school students had ordered and surprisingly with all fourteen of them and the drive thru we still got our orders within six minutes. I was pretty impressed and all our orders were correct.overall the restaurant was clean and I would eat there again. Friendly Staffan a skate park right next to it amazing!! Lone pine california. I am here to visit my neice for a birthday party. My mom really didn't eat much at the party. So we came here to get her some chicken nuggets. I ordered the 20 peice. They only let you use the kiosk, they won'thelp you at the register. When I placed my order it only let's you get 3 sauces. We'll! 3 sauces was not enough. I went to the front to ask for a BBQ sauce and Sidel said I would have to pay for it. I said ok. May I order a bbq sauce ( mind you I had the chicken nuggets in my hand to show the 3 sauces was not enough) he said I would have to go to the kiosk to order it. For those of you who know, the kiosk is a bit slow and takes longer, especially when they are being used. So I asked again and he said at the kiosk. He saw that we were on our way out. He didn't care. Let me remind you that I only asked for 1 (one) sauce packet. So We just walked out with my chicken nugget box. Did I mention we were visiting, took us 4 hours to get here and 4 hours to get back home. Well, the atmosphere was good until I asked to utilize my 20% off coupon from my app and Sidel said and I quote " I can't do anything here, you have to go back to the kiosk and do it. So I juat paid him. I am not sure if he is a lead or manager, but from the way he behaved I would have to say he is a regular employee, although the other young man that was there was very nice and polite. I will say That I understand you have to pay for the extra sauces, but his attitude needs to be improved. Please have him trained for customer service Sidel really sucks. He couldn't even really look at me in the face. He had the young man tell me as he was just standing a bit behind him. McDonalds please train your staff especially management. NOT COOL!

I never thought I'd be reviewing a McDonald's but this is honestly one of the best places anywhere. By far the best McDonald's anywhere. The manager is the lovliest human and completely saved me when I was stuck and had a project proposal to submit. She is so friendly and kind, and the location is spotless with great service.

I would like to say the woman that went out of her way to chat with me in regards to my dietary needs I felt cared for. Afterwards I was not sick. Was able to get some burgers in me without buns and had no reactions after consumption! She spoke to the cooks and even helped package to ensure I was safe. She went above and beyond. 10/10 recommend this location as my family also were satisfied with how the food came out fast and fresh!

Ordered here 3 times so far (always in the app). Food was always fast and correct. Front counter was friendly. Re price I am a boss of using the app to save money so it didn't effect me personally. Lone Pine is in the boonies so I honestly expected higher prices. Re atmosphere / cleanliness. The building is beautiful and the mountain views are even more so. Some tables weren't clean but that's not important in my book. It takes 10 seconds to clean my own table but costs the owner much more to have staff for this.

This is the best Mcdonalds I have ever been to. Normal, clean workers and normal clientele and the setting is beautiful! Amazing view from the back windows. What a treat to be able to eat here

Nice clean place, staff are good but busy. The food is McDonald's food, you know what you are going to get. If you want to use cash it may take some time, they have only one register and nobody is watching for cash customers, so you need to try and get somebody attention.

Only place in town for coffee, cake here to climb Mt. Whitney and McDonalds was my source of coffee during my stay. The staff was always friendly and the coffee was always perfect. Conveniently located on main st at the entrance of town and literally just a couple minutes away from anywhere in Lone Pine.

Right off the 395 in Lone Pine. Great cold drinks. Grandma MCflurry is so cold and good when in 100f heat. We dined around 3 pm on a Friday. Store manager was really friendly and courteous.

For a restaurant that's open since 5am after a long drive ... 👍🏼🤗❤️ It was really good, food was delicious, restrooms were super clean, staff was really nice and we enjoyed stopping by. We got the breakfast deluxe, the bacon egg and cheese mc griddle and an egg McMuffin muffin along with two coffees. Oh and we also got an apple pie and a holiday pie, didn't expect to find some of these items but they were all available. Service was prompt and very professional. Highly recommended stopping by this location for a quick bite.

Had a great experience at this particular McDonald's this morning (3-30-24). I had a big order so I used the app and went through the drive thru to pick it up. The whole order was absolutely correct. The food was hot and assembled with care. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The coffee was hot and delicious. A great way to start the day. Thank you Lone Pine McDonald's. You guys rock!!!

Food was good. What you would expect from McDonald's. However they make you order through their kiosk. It takes a long time. Took us about 20 minutes to order our food, which would have taken 2 minutes at the counter. Workers were very nice and accommodating though

It was crowded and hectic the day I stopped with friends here for a bite. The atmosphere anything but relaxing, the girls couldn't wash their hands without waiting in line. Still, the service was friendly and they almost got every order right. And the food was hot and the best of what you could expect. My hats off to a hardworking crew.

Very busy with lone pine being a top break stop for travelers. Food came out hot and as order except was missing food from my order but was easily resolved bringing my receipt to the counter. Inside was clean and well kept and staff were friendly even with the rush of people.

The location wasn't too busy when I stopped here, but most tables were not cleaned. All and all not bad for being a tourist stop and go.

This location proves that not all McDonald's are bad. Kudos to the management for doing a great job! Service was fast and kind. Staff was attentive and approachable. Tried dining in and drive thru and both experience was good. Keep it up guys and prove them wrong!

Make sure you install the McDonald's application on your phone so that you can get some of the cool deals they have. Otherwise, you're going to end up spending an arm and a leg on things that are probably going to be a lot cheaper if you use the app. This is just like any other McDonald's so nothing special. Food is not great but you know what to expect

They got my order wrong, and the management was rude

This particular McDonald's was clean and maintained. I ordered a breakfast burrito that I've had at other of their stores. This one was about the size of a cigar! Too small and not worth the price. Also, you were forced to order from a kiosk, but the instructions were not clear. However, an employee gladly helped us to order, so kudos to him.

Service was kind of cold and impersonal. Bathroom was dirty, no soap, no toilet paper though the was a cleaning log being signed hourly. All of the hand sanitizers were empty as well.

Had to repeat my order three times, I don't know what was happening but something was going on and then had to wait for my coffee and my food.

Very very very crowded McDonald’s. Even on an off day. Restroom was clean. Restroom requires a code. Walking proximity to the Tesla supercharger. Did not order any food as it would have taken probably very very long to get it. Pictured is the view from the parking lot too. Spectacular view.

The restaurant is clean. All orders must be done at the kiosk. I asked for no ketchup due to allergy. I received a plain burger. I will never order a burger here again. They never get it correct.

Being that this McDonald's is literally the only one in 150 miles in any direction, you'd think it would be great.....it's not. What surprises me is that the Lone Pine McDonald's is usually a familiar stopping point for travelers heading up north to Mammoth or Tahoe and back south towards Los Angeles. Also, this McDonald's used to be popular with hikers traversing the PCT and JMT as a way to get some good ole fast food fat and carbs in their bodies when they came down to resupply. I hate to say it, but this McDonald's is a drag. My son was walking towards the counter and slipped and fell on water or something wet. It wasn't soda. Seems like the heater is always on. The implementation of kiosk ordering has thrown customer service interaction out the window, so expect very minimal words to be spoken. The food usually takes longer than expected to arrive and when I used to drink soda, I would ALWAYS choose McDonald's over any other fast food restaurant because I was told by a Coca-Cola employee that McDonald's paid extra to have the carbonation/flavors set to a certain formula. This McDonald's lacks that. There is one good thing, though: the bathrooms were very well kept, and using the toilet was not a cringe experience. Even though i've pretty much stopped eating McDonald's and drinking soda there's that nostalgic feeling when I pass one in a little town and sometimes I just want to stop and have a cheeseburger and a coke.

It's a McDonald's. It's a small town and there isn't a ton of options that aren't charging tourist prices. Went on 8/7/2021 and got an ice cream. Bathrooms are clean and the building looks neat. Kiosks don't work and napkins and other items are all behind the counter. A bit short staffed but everyone was polite. No real complaints. 3.5 stars.

I ordered a milkshake after waiting 5 minutes at the counter to order (I wanted to pay cash to get change for the terrible laundromat up the road) and when I got my strawberry milkshake it was like a pink and white zebra because it hadn’t mixed the flavor and ice cream and also had a weird chemical taste to it.

Excellent service staff but the manager is too cheap to hire one cashier. All orders must be done at the kiosks, and even though a sign says you can pay cash by giving your order number to the staff, the kiosk does not allow you to make cash payments. I'm sure the owner would have the entire restaurant run by robots if possible. I certainly don't blame the understaffed cook staff at the restaurant for this.

Once again, I ordered 2 meatless egg mcmuffins, and both came with Canadian bacon. This has happened several times - at least 3, at this location. I guess I need to check and return my order before I leave the parking lot. It is very disappointing, especially since we repeated the order several times, as did the person taking the order.

Floors were completely trashed and sticky. Bathrooms were disgusting and the sink in the men’s restroom didn’t work and had a sign, so they were aware. There were plenty of employees working, so there was no reason for the restaurant to be so dirty.

I originally rated this place at 5 stars. I am changing it to two because the food was disappointing and the restaurant environment was almost hostile. At this location, free refills have been prohibited to the point where they have removed the soda fountain altogether, and you can only stay in the restaurant for 30 minutes while you eat. This was likely implemented for the pandemic, but now it seems unnecessary. I'd also like to note that while this place was newly renovated, there are already signs of wear and tear, possibly because of cheap building materials and furniture choices. The chair legs literally splinter apart if you move too much in them, which I'd argue isn't terribly safe. 2/5.

We've been coming to this location for years. Customer service has always been good, but it has slowly declined. No refills on drinks at this location. We were given 1 napkin per person in our group. They wouldn't even give my nephew ice water. I know times can be tough but not too tough to but be courteous or just bend some rules. It's over 100 degrees and we have been traveling for 5 hours. Disappointed!

These are the rudest McDonald’s workers I’ve seen. I’ve been here during high school lunch rush during the week and everybody had a great attitude. It wasn’t even very busy this time on a Saturday afternoon. From the guy on the mic to the guy at the window had bad attitudes and acted like they didn’t want to be there. If you don’t like it that much get a different job, don’t try to put your attitude on me.

Not a McDonald's fan. My friend and were getting hungry for a real breakfast. So, we got sausage McMuffin breakfast meals with hashbrowns and coffee and ate back on the road. I sure hate being a McDonald's drive-through statistic. The experience was not as quick and easy as marketed for such no-so-delicious unhealthy food. Its presence was still convenient and allowed me to get some still shots on Lone Pine CA which I may never see again.

This location is very ascetically pleasing, but not much else is going for it. The food tasted fine, just like every other McDonalds, and the place was clean. I wish it had a playground, especially considering it’s titled as a McDonald’s Playplace, the bathrooms do not have changing tables, despite having room for them, and they were completely out of toilet paper. No access to napkins, the trash cans were overfilled, the tables were dirty and despite offering table side service, they will not bring the food to your table. I think this all comes down to being understaffed. There was one person expediting orders and everyone else was in the kitchen. If this wasn’t the only fast food for miles around, it wouldn’t be so profitable. Unfortunately I doubt it’ll change. Fine for an ok McDonalds experience, but the worst.

This McDonald's by the Supercharger is a usual Mammoth stop-some of the best fries from McDonald’s I ever had, normally a treat. Not this time (Feb 2025). First batch was dry and awful; after 3-4 bites each, we asked for fresh ones-just a swap. Employee gave attitude, said we'd eaten too much, and told us to buy a new order. My husband asked, 'If you don't try it, how do you know it's bad?'— fair, but we paid again. Left the old ones to show the point. Second batch, fresh-made, still wasn't good-oil? I want to give a 1 start to this restaurant, I order online but the app doesn’t allow me to order side of ranch or ketchup. I got the food and Anthony told me that I need to get charge for the ranch. I was upset for the inconvenience. He said “ it is what it is” later he came to the table and apologizes but he is following corporate orders. I understand the employee is following owner/corporate orders but it is not giving the best customer experience. I recommend people to go to the next Macdonald at Bishop for a better customer experience. I never had an issue there.

Placed an order through their kiosk. All 8 customers that placed their orders through the same kiosk received their food BEFORE me. After 37 mins of waiting for my small fries and frappe, I finally asked when the place was empty of customers and I witnessed employees socializing. I overheard one employee whisper, "Oh sh#!, I forgot to bag her order!" When I received my order, the fries were cold and the frappe was warm. I asked politely if they can make new fries and a frappe. They responded, "Sorry, but our machines are broken and there will be a wait." Later, the store manager contacted me and asked me to return to their restaurant for a refund of my meal. I told her I live over 5 hours away. Her response, "Oh well, sorry."

I grew up on McDonald's Big Mac. I used to love McDonald's. Even in my adult life, I wore a shirt with McDonald's logo on it ... And then they changed. What good is there to write about McDonald's these days? The food is just overpriced filler. The service is bla bla bla because the employees seem miserable. ... And atmosphere, what atmosphere? The place is clean because nobody sits in anymore. It feels as if it's become a place to go to mope. I stopped to stretch my legs, use the restroom and wash my hands. I ordered out of nostalgia for what I once enjoyed.. And again, afterward, I sat and wondered why I bothered? What a complete waste of money.

Dining room says it closes at 9:00PM. Showed up at 8:45 PM dining room closed and a line of traffic in the drive thru all the way out to Gene Autry. When I asked an employee why they were closed, I was told “Because we’re closing early tonight.”

Worst McDonald's restaurant EVER!!!!!!! Almost every time I come to this place for dinner while on vacation, the dining room is ALWAYS BAD!!!!!!! Dirty floors, dirty tables, and dirty restrooms!!! I had to eat in the parking lot because of this. Their service is not that great because when I came to eat with my son while on a trip to Mount Whitney, the drink machines had no refills and one of the kiosks were broken. All I have to say is that this McDonald's restaurant NEEDS LOTS OF HELP!!!!!!! I will never eat in the dining room in this McDonald's restaurant ever again until the workers improve their cleaning job and service. If you ever come to this McDonald's while on vacation, trust me. You could see that this place is dirty almost everywhere inside.

Why do you take mobile orders if you cancel them right away with some nonsense excuse? Never fails. If you don’t offer discounts that Mc Donald’s offers , just remove yourself from the list of restaurants, especially since you are so proud to state that you independently owned. You should strive to make service better instead making it worse.

Ordered coffee on their mobile app as I normally do at least 5 times a month elsewhere. Waited 20 for coffee to be ready. My order number was their on their screen. When we finally inquired they apologized that the machine down and cancelled my order. I just find that disrespectful of my time. Annoying...but I will probably be back as this is the only McDonald's for at least 1.5 hours in any direction.

22 minutes in drive thru. Guy taking order was a jerk. Said my code for the app didn’t work even though it showed it had been used for the 6000 points. Second time we have stopped here passing through town and won't again! Service took as long as a sit down breakfast and no accommodation to sit outside to eat. Service/management was horribly slow and add the use of the Kiosk ordering it took about 25 min to get our breakfast. 9/22/25

DO NOT place mobile ap orders, they easily get lost or never make it. Check yelp this will confirm. Placed an order 20 min ahead of my arrival. Waited another 30-45 min and nothing. Staff ignored me until I yelled to get their attention. Maria the manager could not find the order. Knew nothing about it but had an email confirmation, Corporate sees the order yet they the store does not. Why spotty internet at their location. Hour of lost time and money. Avoid ap orders here. Understaffed, dirty dining area and vomit on one seat, staff ignores you. The lounge was packed with people waiting for orders while drive through was passed through. One employee said their order status screen was not working while clearly you could see orders on the screen. Someone needs to get their act together. They get away with it because they are the only one in Lone Pine. Managers/ower get your act together, Get more staff, fix your online order issue, answer your phones so people can get proper help, clean your dining area, help customers. Service is nill now that they use kiosks.

the slowest mcdonalds i ever experienced. The official waiting time 30 min. They are misleading with process, showing served units which even not started to make. We waited 31 min, but it showed ready after 20min.

I've never seen slower service at a McDonald's location! Their prices are also higher than other locations are.. yes, it's a busy spot, but it also looked very under-staffed... it took over an hour for us to get our order.. not a stop to make if you're in a hurry

Employee didn’t wash hands after using restroom and went back to handling orders. Maybe because the men’s restroom sink needs repair.

I was asked to leave while making a long distance call to my brother. Apparently it company policy for that particular franchisee. There were two other couples in the restaurant and there was a massive sand storm outside

July 23 2025, 7:01 pm, I had to go to the bathroom before to order and for my surprise there it wasn't toilet paper, so after I had to clean with the toilet covers I went to wash my hand and there it wasn't soap either. By that time I was very frustrated, but when I went out to the tables, I found that the hand sanitizer was empty as well I talked with the manager, and asked to send somebody immediately to fix the issue because I need to clean my hands, she got upset because I interrupted her lunch when I I made the complain She went immediately to fix the issue but her attitude wasn't the best Really poor customer service, and my concern.... if the employes goes.to the restroom and there are not cleaning supplies, what kind of food prepare and serves? I decide it to not order anything 😕

The employees here are rude and completely ignore you. I understand that there are self-service kiosks now to order on your own, but sometimes there are things a kiosk can’t do… like provide ketchup.

Second time I've stopped here and it too almost 30 minutes to get a breakfast. Poor Management for sure! Won't stop here again!

Went there today Sunday August 3rd on my way back from a hiking trip. The place was a pig pen to put it mildly. Every trash receptacle was overflowing onto the floor. In addition, it seemed obvious there was no management around as the entire atmosphere was chaotic. You could see the frustration on people's faces. I used their automated system to place an order and after 20 minutes gave up and left having paid an order that was still not in the que on their screen showing orders. I understand them being extremely busy but there is no excuse for the place being a pig pen. What a horrible disgrace to the McDonald's corporation.

Waited for about 20 minutes for my order. The person at the register was calling out the wrong number for my order, and the food sat there until I went to ask about it.

If i could give it 0 stars I would never will we stop here again service slow quality sucks the gas station provides better service

Dogs are not allowed at McDonalds unless they are service dogs. Yet this evening there was a pet dog roaming freely in the Lone Pine McDonalds. The manager told me they were allowed, a violation of state law. The dog’s owner hurled insults at me as I politely pointed out they should dine elsewhere.

The young all male crew Tuesday morning , Oct 21st need a major attitude adjustment! I ordered via the mobile App and took 17 minutes since they did not have my order. No one was at the front counter for a good 7 minutes and only the drive thru male employee seem to be working. Finally, another male employee couldn't ignore customers any longer. He seem indifferent and bored and questioned me about my order and had that look, "What do you want"? He grudgingly shoved my hotcakes in a bag and disappeared again.. I did thanked him, but he acted mute and couldn't be bothered further. How do these $20/hour kids get a job here at Mickey D's? Where are the good, polite employees with smiles on their faces it's known for? No greeting, just unpleasant and miserable..if looks could kill! Laughable! Besides the Mojave location with similar disgruntled employees, Lone Pine has the worst customer service.. Bring the girls back to the front please! What a sad Fortune 500 corporation..I should've gone to Carl's Jr Live and learn!

It was awful. I ordered two piece chicken nuggets for my boys I asked for ranch for both. When I got to the window I asked for ranch and BBQ sauce. A young man named Alex told me he could only give me one because they had to charge for the sauce. I asked how much they are and he said that I had to go around and order the sauce when he could of just charged me and not have me waste gas going around. If I knew that I had to purchase the sauce I would have ordered it in the start. But he was rude about it.

I travel through lone pine once a year with my family. On the way home we usually stop at the McDonald’s. It took them a while to take my order in the drive through, once I finally was able to get to the window. Order taker, cashier wasn’t at the window seemed to be playing around finally opened the window. Just gave me a total took my payment and closed the door. There was no hello, good morning, no greeting whatsoever. Then handed my bag and closed the door before I could even ask for ketchup. I been coming here for years for our annual camping trip. This year I’m pretty disappointed by the work ethic and experience this year.
