Food: I got the 15-minute wing - are their versions of Buffalo wings. Sweet, tangy, and juicy. I also got the chimichanga. There are plenty of beers on tap, including their house beers. Service: relaxed atmosphere, with a bar vibe, good music, and large windows. The service is quick, accurate, and friendly. Final thought: great little place to rest your feet after walking around 2nd Street. The beach is only about a 7-minute walk.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in southern California. It's one of the few places that's kept the quality of their food at a top level. The classics remain and additions they make are never lackluster. I know i can try something new or fall back on an old favorite and always be satisfied. A great drink selection also adds to the appeal if you're looking for that. The staff is incredible and always have good suggestions.

This is a super late post for me. I love Simmzy's and I am still sad that the one close to me (Burbank) closed. My wife, son and I were out in Long Beach for Saint Baldricks, it's a fundraiser for cancer research. I have to say from start to finish our visit was absolutely perfect. Jennifer was awesome! She was incredibly friendly, welcoming and fast! We never had to look for her and my drink was never empty. The food was great! I highly recommend the eggs Benedict pizza!!!!

A popular spot to meet friends and or make new ones! The staff is upbeat and attentive. The food is well proportioned and flavorful. From salads, poke, pizza and burgers, you can't do wrong. Their cocktails, sangria, and desserts offered a decadence in themselves and are well worth every indulgence.

When I first saw the menu weeks ago I figured good selection but all probably middling. Now having eaten here, it's fantastic. The billionaire burger is amazing. Sweet and savory and basically everything I could have wanted. The fries were really tasty too. Jay was our waiter and he was friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend and I look forward to trying out more

We were seated right before brunch was over and were able to get a couple of Mimosas in. The Mimosas were tasty & had the right amount of booze to juice ratio. I ordered a Veggie Scramble without mushrooms. I enjoyed the presentation & the thick piece of bread that accompanied my eggs. I suggested the Loco Moco as I have made a Vegetarian version. The verdict was good & again, presentation was lovely. Very popular place and crowded space. Staff was on too of everything despite the chaos.

Came here randomly with my boyfriend. I ordered the pomegranate hard cider it was delicious! we ordered the carne asada fries and tbh they were just ok? the fry was SKINNY?! and they gave diced up carne asada and it was a small serving of meat. we also got the pork belly buns that were good and the wings that were really good! the service was great!

We stopped by Simmzy’s on a cool summer Sunday, and the vibe was perfect — casual, beachy, and full of energy. Families, fur babies, and iced drinks all around. Inside was bustling but not chaotic; outside, bright red umbrellas and breezy conversation made it feel like the heart of Belmont Shore. 🍕 M.S.G. Pizza — mushrooms, sausage, garlic, tomato sauce, mozzarella, and scallions on a thin, crispy crust. Every bite was savory, smoky, and balanced. Absolutely delicious and one we’d order again. 🥦 Caramelized Brussels Sprouts — rich with garlic butter, lemon, capers, and anchovies, served with a slice of bruschetta. Crispy, bold, and packed with umami — but fair warning: the caper-anchovy combo tips the saltiness scale. Still flavorful, just maybe not for the faint of sodium. 🎶 The space feels like a surf shack met a neighborhood pub and had a very cool baby. There’s even a VW bus front inside. Service was warm, quick, and unfussy. 📍 Located on 2nd & La Verne ✅ Family- and pet-friendly ✅ Indoor + outdoor seating 🚗 Street parking is limited — come early or bring patience Final thought: Great spot for a laid-back lunch or brunch with friends. Just know your sprouts might fight back (in the best way).

Great Beachy Spot on 2nd Street! I stopped by Simmzy's on 2nd Street and had an awesome experience. It’s a casual, beachy gastropub with great energy and a solid menu of burgers, tacos, salads, and craft beer. I was greeted warmly by the hostess and seated quickly with minimal wait. I ordered the white Margherita pizza and the chicken apple walnut & goat cheese salad—both were flavorful, fresh, and generously portioned. As a bonus, they surprised me with their 15-minute wings, which were a hit! Everything was delicious and well-balanced. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and want good vibes with even better food.

Walked in and all the food looked very tasty. The place was clean and appeared nice. It’s unfortunate we left after a drink because our service was that poor. Our server took our drink order and another server had dropped our drinks off. We appreciated the team work, however quickly noticed it wasn’t team work at all and our server just did not catch clues. We are from out of town and when he came to take our order we asked for an extra minute which is where it went down hill. We watched our server pass us 7 times (only twice with other people’s food) but then proceeded to stand at the bar texting on his phone and watching the baseball game… We are all for cheering on your team but when he finally came to try to take our order again, we were not asked if we had made a decision, he only said “I’ll take that menu out of the way” at that point we decided to leave. Thanks to the young lady who brought our bar drinks but would not recommend this place if you actually want to eat…

The food was ok. Regular bar food. The citrus salmon salad was really good. I liked the fries. The wings were ok. They were cooked well but felt like they needed more wing sauce. Family got burgers and tacos they said they were good but nothing memorable about them.

Modern Retrospect

Hello, I live in the area and Simmzys is by far my favorite spot. I rave about it to all the time to my friends and family and go there constantly. Especially the bar area with friends and my significant other. Unfortunately yesterday (10/04) we were at the bar around 5-6pm and it was a miserable experience. It was busy but it’s been really busy before and it was always fun and the crew generically awesome. But yesterday the crew were what seemed like at each other throats. Visually upset and flustered and it was severely affecting the mood and service. It was uncomfortable and we felt bad even asking for basics like napkins. The bill also turned out to be wrong which never got fixed. I got overcharged. I actually intended to stay longer and spend more but it was so uncomfortable seeing the crew huff and puff and throw tantrums that we just couldn’t wait to get out. Never ever did I think I’d feel like that at my favorite spot on a Friday after a long day at work.

Really disappointed with this bartender service LB she didn’t let us know it was last call. We wanted another drink and we couldn’t get it. If they told us earlier we would have ordered sooner. Bartender was also rude and didn’t smile at all. She has no customer service skills. She shouldn’t be working there. She created a bad atmosphere. We traveled all the way from boston ma. She should get fired if i was te manager.
