One of the best dive bars and I believe one of long beachs' oldest since the early 1900s'. Still going strong, Long beach strong!

O'Connell's is a cool little Irish Pub. Great place to watch football on Sundays during the football season because they have every game on!!!!

Great place to come and have a couple drinks and a great time. The oldest bar in Long Beach, pool tables, shuffle board, a Jukebox and TV's all around. MVP's is conveniently connected to the bar also and will deliver your food to your table or barstool. You can't beat it.

I guess you don’t get too much sun in O’Connell’s… Haven’t been for many years sadly but I’m sure it’s as good as it always was…

A neighborhood bar that accommodates newcomers well. Many bar-style tables in the barroom if the seats at bar are full or if you need some separation from others. Also has another room with 3 billiard tables and now also a shuffle-board table.

They 86'ed my dad because he won the bartender at pool... This night my neighbor wanted to play pool so I went... She was great bartenders a little rude but... That's ok

Bar opens super early, we usually stop by here before and after a Catalina trip. Can always expect to see the same friendly locals and bartender.

As a dive bar they're too expensive and as a vibe they're too corny. This place is nothing.

Never been asked "no where are you really from" more times by the clientele at a bar. Definitely not a "friendly neighborhood bar."

I bought one coors banquet and I got 5 bucks back. Are beers 15$??? WTH

Hispanic bar back rushed us at 1:23am ,telling to us finish our drink when he just poured a drink for another client, and waited and watched us down our drinks making us very uncomfortable, I told him to go tell the other people and leave us alone but he said less taking more drinking and didn't leave us alone mind you there was still 10-15 other people at the bar drinking ,

I was having a rough day and was on the phone for a bit while at the bar, but I made sure to keep my volume down and not disturb anyone. Unfortunately, the bartender approached me and told me that my voice was annoying and that I needed to take my call outside or leave. I found this interaction to be really unkind and unprofessional, so I paid my tab and left. I hope the management takes feedback like this seriously because everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect
