I love Factors. I almost always do takeout and ask for Alex. He is amazing. He takes such good care of me. He always has a smile on his face and is very kind and does a wonderful job. I give him 25 stars. He is the best!!!!!😀😀😀😀😀❤️❤️
Very home, booth, casual diner. Cornbread sandwich, and soup, fair portion for the price "Los Angeles", very good quality. Very friendly waiter, checked in several times, not Very busy. Con: no parking
My uncle and I go to Factor's every time I come into town, usually once a month. It brings back memories from the wonderful 70s and 80s, when we were younger and there was so much life to live. We especially come here in memory if another uncle! He brought me here so many times and we have such loving fond memories of him. The food is excellent, the service wonderful and in general a great place to eat and make memories!
Five Stars for Factor’s Famous Deli! We recently ordered delivery from Factor’s Famous Deli in Los Angeles and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. Jay provided exceptional customer service—patient, kind, and incredibly helpful as he answered all of our questions over the phone. It's rare to find that level of attentiveness these days, and it made a lasting impression. This iconic deli, serving the community for an impressive 76 years, truly lives up to its reputation. We enjoyed the Ground Protein Scramble with ground turkey, which was flavorful and satisfying, and the Egg White Veggie Omelet was equally delicious. The Nova Lox Bagel Sandwich, served on our favorite onion bagel, featured delicious Nova salmon and it was fresh and perfectly balanced—definitely a must-try! For dinner, we shared the Roasted Half Chicken with stuffing, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Every bite was comforting and delicious—classic deli fare done right. We also stocked up on cold sliced tongue and pastrami to create our own deli sandwiches and omelets at home later. Over the years, we’ve dined at Factor’s many times and have ordered a variety of menu items. Without fail, we've always enjoyed our selections. The menu is extensive, offering something tasty for every guest—any time of day. The large portions are appreciated and there are lots of healthy choices. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable and is accommodating for all ages! Factor’s Famous Deli has a very large menu with something to please every palate. Whether you're craving breakfast, lunch, or dinner, there’s always something satisfying waiting for you. Highly recommended!
We have been on a trip for 8 days in LA and have eaten here 4 times. The food is phenomenal, honestly phenomenal and so was the 7 layer cake we got for the table! It was a short walk from our hotel but that’s not why we ate their the food and staff were 10/10 every time! The owner Debbie took the time to talk with us before we left and I adore her and the family feel of the restaurant despite it being large place and accommodating (I use a wheel chair) I lost my staff list name while traveling back but every single person we encountered this week was so nice and genuine!! I highly recommend the turkey protein bowl!!
FANTASTIC. One of my favorite spots in LA. Easily the best corned beef sandwich ever anywhere. My Saturday routine drop the Rubicon at the “The Wash” on Pico then walk down to Factor’s. Half sandwich add Swiss and mustard on Rye bread. Side potato salad. Worth the trip wherever you are in LA. The sports memorabilia is seriously cool. Counter service at the deli always with a smile.
There’s a reason this place has been around for 75 years. Delicious and classic (albeit expensive) food, a huge menu, and great service. Their condiments are awesome too (especially the spicy mustard), and are available for purchase. We had the bagel with lox and cream cheese, and the pastrami sandwich, and both were perfect. The food came with pickles, which oddly had no vinigar flavor.
Factor’s Famous Deli on Pico Blvd, Los Angeles. I had a thick cut pastrami sandwich with a side of potato salad. That was a great sandwich and potato salad. They brought out some salty style Russian pickles as an appetizer. I’m not a dill pickle guy and they were a bit salty for me, but my coworker liked them. The Beaver mustards they provided were good. I liked the Deli mustard more than the Sweet Hot. That one for me (I’m not a sweet sauce person) was way to sweet, and I didn’t really get the hot. But it did have good flavor. Overall, another good choice for a meal stop with Wil Powell this evening.
Turns out there is a nice New York deli right here in LA. Factors Famous Deli was just a short walk from our hotel so we got to experience breakfasts and dinners over a few days. The menu is extensive and the food is delicious. Pastrami and corned beef sandwiches with meat piled so high you can’t get your mouth around the sandwich. But you can order half sandwiches so you can at least finish your meal. Another strategy is to have an order of toast and split the meat into two sandwiches. Serve breakfast all day and they have a deli counter if you want to bring some cold cuts or sides home with you. No beer or wine but a big selection of beverages. Service was pleasant and competent and prices were very reasonable. A rewarding dining experience, particularly if you miss or want a New York deli experience. We give Factors four clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.
Love this deli. First time dining at Factor’s this morning and we all had a great brunch. Service was prompt, polite, and we were seated as soon as we arrived. They have valet parking out front, but we were able to find street parking close by for our 11AM Saturday brunch. I especially love all the booths inside and how quick they were with refills and bringing the food out. Our server was very polite and did a great job. They have a huge menu to order from and breakfast, lunch, or dinner was available. I chose the Beet Borscht to start which was great and followed up with the Eggs Benedict. It was cooked well and the portion was fair. I look forward to coming back in the future to try more items. Overall a great deli and I would recommend to anyone deli fan or not.
I have always loved Factor's. I feel - in my opinion - they make the best tuna melt with a side of potato salad, that I've had anywhere ever. So getting back to Los Angeles last week and we made Factor's our first stop. We walked in seconds before a big rush, yet we, along with a couple of others, were left standing in a small line with no one showing any of us to the empty tables, or even just telling us to take the first table we could find. EVENTUALLY someone organised seating for us all, and we sat ready to order. I think since Covid, they've remodeled a little and there seems to be fewer tables, which might explain why people have to wait so long to be seated. I got the tuna melt and potato salad and it lived up to my expectations based on all of the past visits. The service was good and the food was great and we were both happy. We decided to try it for breakfast the next morning (since we've only ever been there for lunches) and to be honest, in our opinion, the breakfasts aren't as good. Their blintzes were just ok, and everything we ordered was "just okay." I feel there's a nicer vibe here at lunch and I would never do a breakfast here again. IF you're lucky, you can potentially find a park in a side street (we managed both visits), or otherwise you're subjected to valet and it's like $5 or so. I do love it here. The food overall is good and the atmosphere is also. There's a little deli area where you can buy meats and fish and even cakes and sweet foods. It's in a perfect location and I will always visit when back in Los Angeles. The one reason they lost a star is that they allow dogs in, and one dog in particular (in pics) was climbing on the seating. I’m sorry, but people with pets should sit outside.
3.5 solid rating I’m leaving. There wasn’t a host, and employees in the general area were too busy to give direction on what to do, where to go, or what to expect. So we edged closer to the areas we saw a tables by which we came to a podium. It was there we were helped and seated. Our waitress was a middle aged woman who was a pleasant one. She greeted us with eyes that smiled. She was informative of the menu and helped us quite quickly. We ordered pastrami sandwich with coleslaw and macaroni salad. And I ordered an egg white feta wrap for he sorts. Chips and guacamole. The food came out hot and ready and was verrryyyyy filling. We had some for take home after. The onions rings were cooked perfect which was a touch crispy. The wrap that I got was solid. Nothing special and nothing bad. My mom said she loved the pastrami and the pickles and mustard offered made that a good dish. Dessert was a carrot cake, brownie, and strawberry shortcake. These were all phenomenal!!! In the future I look forward to trying more items in their menu.
So my wife and I have lived in the Pico/ Robertson area for almost 20+ years and haven't frequented most of the restaurants in the area. So, after years of passing by Factors, we decided to finally try it. When we got there, we were greeted by the host. He was cordial and called a server over to seat us. The server takes my wife and I ALL the way to the back of the restaurant by the bathrooms and right near the service area. Passing up rows and rows of seats (most were sitting in the front of the restaurant). We didn't say anything, just looked at each other, and sat down. We ordered our food and drinks, and they promptly came out. I got the pastrami and my wife ordered huevos rancheros. The huevos rancheros was completely bland and most definitely not worth the price. My pastrami was good, but it was just two pieces of white bread and a few chunks of pastrami, and a pickle. That's it. For almost 20 bucks, it definitely isn't worth it. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it's not worth the price for bland food and overpriced pastrami.
The Deli was close to my hotel, so I walked over. Unfortunately, my chicken wrap consisted of hard tiny bites of chicken, way too many chunks of over ripe tomato and the side of potato salad, too sweet for my taste. I did enjoy the Arnie Palmer beverage. My waiter Johnathan G., was great and did ask the Mgr., that my chicken wrap be removed from my tab, Thank you!
We have been eating at Factors & have lived a 2 minute walk away since 1987. That’s why it breaks my heart to leave a negative review, but they have gone completely downhill. Lately whenever we ordered Omelettes, They never came nicely folded, but were more like a sloppy scramble. It wasn’t until we ordered an omelette from John O’Groats (Down the street) & Received such a beautifully fluffy folded real omelette that we realized how we had gotten used to the low shoddy standards of Factors. The final straw came today, when we ordered 8 mini melts/rubins & dips. They are a great idea for $10 each, you get tiny sammies similar to finger sandwiches. All 8 of them were burned, but the 4 that were on rye bread were burnt to a crisp to the point where they were hard as rocks & Literally impossible to bite into! Rye bread is already a hard enough bread But when it’s burnt, it becomes almost petrified!!! I phoned the restaurant & spoke with Debbie. Instead of caring what I thought or even asking what she could do to make it right, (customer Service 101) She just dismissed me by saying “Well we sell hundreds & hundreds of those every day & you’re the first one who has ever Complained” insinuating that I was crazy for complaining, even though no one could eat those 4 burnt Sandwiches becz No one wanted to break a tooth. I took photos & You can see just how burnt & hard they were. It’s so sad to see how this deli has become a shadow of its former self.
Where to start?? An all around zero/no stars. First - there is no parking lot at all and valet only for $12.00 at weekday lunchtime. The side streets have many different no parking laws so we ended up parking 5 blocks away and walked. The server - he eventually came back after we settled in and just stared at us with his pad of paper in hand. Not a single word! we asked for two minutes to decide and he walked away in silence. He came back later and again, no words. we ordered, got our food and didn't see him again till he dropped off the bill. Seriously - who allows this type of staff?? Second - the food a joke. My pastrami sandwich was so light on pastrami. plenty of fat with flicks of meat. No flavor, just fat, some flecks of meat and cold bread. I could name 5 delis with much larger portions of lean pastrami, where you wouldn't feel ripped off, no slices of fat and actual pastrami flavor, but I won't as this is all about a really bad lunch at Factors Deli. The cole slaw - the strangest/worst tasting slaw that I have ever had and warm as in too close to the cooktop or not refrigerated for hours. We also ordered a corned beef sandwich and it was even fattier. The last item was a dry omelet with stale ingredients. As in mushy bell peppers and hard bits of ham. The kicker for all of this $106.00 with tip for the mute server. I strongly suggest finding any one of those other delis unless you enjoy walking away gouged, angry and hungry!!
