It’s a good ramen place to check out if you are on the hollywood walk of fame. The ramen was tasty, and the portions were great. The ramen was a tad bit salty in my opinion but everyone’s taste buds differ. The atmosphere was great and quiet, and the customer service was amazing and friendly.
I loved this place so much! The food was delicious and authentic! Service was friendly and fast. I am looking forward to going back for some spicy ramen. My husband loved the original ramen.
This place is:one of those rare spots in the city that hits all the spots well. After our second visit we noticed. Service: top notch & friendly. Atmosphere: comfortable with balance between old school charm and modern looks. That red kimono at the entrance is like wow! The most important part THE FOOD: brah! They don’t miss. Tasty, well presented, it’s enough flare to get a wow and over all fresh and delicious from hands that clearly know their craft. And then you get the bill and the prices (because of specials and what not) turn out great!!!! Of course there are rules. Cheap beer only if you buy food. Duh! & the rolls is buy one & the second or lowered prices one gets 50% off. I got the bento. My wife to rolls. We shared. And was too much food still!! So if you got to be on the blvd and need a sushi fix without the excess in the way they charge, go here this family owned jewel is a sure pleaser. Now I’m a fan!! 🙏🏽🍱🍣👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Amazing service first and foremost. The sushi is amazing and you can’t beat their specials. One of our go to’s here on the Hollywood strip. If you’re here visiting or a local, they are definitely worth checking out.
Came across this place quite randomly while walking across Hollywood. We had a few dietary restrictions too, the staff were super nice and were able to cater to our requirements. The food was delicious! Portion sizes were great for the price and the atmosphere inside is quite nice too. Would come again!
We googled this place because it was nearby where we were exploring. We are from out of state. So didn't know what to expect. It's OK looking outside but once you walk in the door it's much much nicer. They have a great little patio area with open air but covered, where we sat. The sushi and ramen we had was excellent. The young lady serving us was very nice and attentive. Would highly recommendand come back!!
We went for a late night bowl of ramen on a cold night about 40 minutes before they closed. My daughter and I got the Spicy Miso Ramen +Kimchi and it was phenomenal. Like, one of the best broths I've ever had. The pork was perfectly cooked. Kimchi was superb. Highly recommend this place. Also had their house hot sake which was lovely.
Simply the best sushi we’ve had in a long time. To begin the Miso Soup was so comforting and flavorful. The Baked Salmon was heavenly, the Firecracker roll was mouthwatering and the Spider roll was so flavorful. I loved their fresh ginger and my husband enjoyed his Sapporo beer. The ambiance is pleasant, and welcoming. We sat outside and the smell of cigarettes was off-putting, but we’ll sit inside next time. We will definitely be going back.
Stopped in after sightseeing most of the day. We walked so not sure on parking in that area. We were seated immediately. There was only one server so service was slow but he was by himself. We ordered miso soup, salad, Ramen bowl and kino sushi. All was very good. Ramen bowls are large portions. Also got the Ramen spicy (extra $1). The taste is good but it is very spicy. The kino sushi was good, the sauce was good. One down was the seaweed wrap inside was not chewable. You would chew it and it wouldn't break down. I had to pull it out with each bite. The decor was nice, well lit. They have outdoor seating. The have a sushi bar that you can not at. Prices were average. Asked to separate the check, 3 people in our party. Said it would be $1 extra per person to split the check.
Very good special on the basic sushi rolls, buy one get one 50% off the second roll. Any dish comes with a small Miso soup to start off. Thr service was very slow. The gentleman kept walking passed us not even to acknowledge our presence to even say "I'll be right with you" so they have to work on their customer service next time other then that I can't complain about the food and they play great music videos while u wait.
Chashu Don was great! Soft and full of flavor. The Dragon Roll was good but lacked the unagi flavor with the eel. The Pink Lady was fairly plain and the wife mentioned the King Kong roll has and a sweet/creamy complexion that didn't blend well together. Service was fantastic. Overall, I came here for the Chashu pork and loved it. Everything else was good but not extraordinary 👍
Took my son to try sushi for the first time and ordered a vegetarian bento 🍱. It had fried tofu, tempura, and an avocado roll. My son didn’t enjoy it much, but he liked the tempura. Overall, the food was okay. Since it’s located on Hollywood Blvd, the prices are higher. I visited around noon, and the server was quite busy.
Respectfully, this was the worst meal we had during our time in LA. We had ordered the Chicken Katsudon and it was extremely sweet. We were told that it was supposed to be a sweeter food. The chicken, eggs, AND rice were all supposed to be sweet? I've had Katsudon at other places and it was never this sweet or disappointing. The chicken katsu was soggy as well. There were no redeeming qualities about this dish. I try to not waste food, but aside from the time I was served spoiled sushi at a different restaurant, this was the only other time where I walked away having 2-3 bites and barely touched the food itself. The waitress offered giving us a pork cutlet, but based on the quality and attitude already, we didn't want to be disappointed again. I don't recommend going here, or any of the restaurants along the Hollywood strip.
BEWARE!!! Of the "sushi special" if you want to split checks it will cost you more money than you think. I went with 3 of my friends and we ordered our sushi plates. Then asked for the check to be split because we had ordered different priced sushi plates. The server comes back and says that their system is "unable" to split checks, which is convenient for them. For example, if you order 2 $20 sushis , but another person in your table orders 2 $10 sushis then it will cost you $5 more.
