I was in town for work and wasn’t really on the move touring or looking for food far away as I needed to be local, so I basically had almost everything this place had to offer on the menu. The Barbocoa was absolutely their best dish on the menu so a quick shout out for that dish. The burger was pleasantly good as well, the chicken sandwich pictured with coleslaw and chipotle sauce was delicious as well. I had truffle fries for both sandwiches but they had regular fries and sweet potato as well for those in need of other options. The chicken empanadas were really good, so was the “Torta”. Didn’t really like the arroz con pollo but you can hit them all can you? Haha. Enjoy your meal if you are staying in the hotel itself it’s beyond convenient and open late with a wonderful looking bar.
The carrots cacke was off the hook. The ribeye steak was so juicy. Me and my cousin had a great dinner while changing the tesla. Great experience once again.
Too tired to venture out to find food and ended up eating in the hotel restaurant. PHENOMENAL vegan options for such a small menu. I wish I got our waitresses name because she was one of the best servers I’ve had. She remembered my dietary needs and made sure my order came out of the kitchen correctly. A must eat while in DTLA.
Excellent contemporary cuisine. The Metropole Bar + Kitchen is located in the lobby of the Hotel Indigo in downtown Los Angeles. The menu is available in the bar area as well as at tables, and both have a chic atmosphere. The breakfast menu had granola crusted challah French toast, served with powdered sugar, berries, and maple syrup. Lunch and dinner menus have a cheese board and a grilled cheese with fries (the grilled cheese had plenty of bits of crispy cheese that seeped onto the grill!). Service was prompt and friendly.
Metro Burger was delicious, egg on top is great touch. Got the Sweet potato fries. Service was nice and quick responsiveness.
Loved the breakfast menu here. Iced mocha was amazing 🤩
Great bartender! Try the newly named cocktail #thecarltonnewsome #greygoose #bananaliqueur
Great food and good service ✔️ Thank you for the amazing time
Perfect breakfast. Very attentive service!
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and cocktails!
Mostly for the Hotel Indigo guests. Food is a hotel-pricey but pretty good. Hotel guests will have to order takeout and bring it up to their rooms themselves (no room service).
Very accommodating for our group of 6 in dire need of brunch . Excellent food and drinks. Easy location near staples center. A gem.
HUGE SHOUT OUT TO: Cristina for her upbeat attitude, great smile, wonderful customer service, and excellent knowledge base of the menu and drinks - she made our dinner so awesome. And, Nancy!! Nancy did such an amazing job greetings and seating - she even checked in to see how we were enjoying the meal, wonderful service. Thank you for making the celebration even better!
Disregard any negative reviews. Was very apprehensive of dining here based on the reviews - the food was INCREDIBLE. Had the halibut, burger, and flourless chocolate cake... plus an Old Fashioned. All exceptional... achieved the definition of a clean plate. If you're staying in the area, don't overlook this spot. Great service as well!
Our server was great! I believe her name was Christina but she was the only server & did phenomenal. Thank you!! Bacon wrapped filet & the pork chop are amazing plates.
Waited while charging my Tesla and was glad to see a great menu and great service. Watched the game and had a great dinner (was a bit expensive). Would've loved to try one of those cocktails the bartender made in front of me but I was tired and had a long drive in front of me.
We had a celebration dinner for 16 people. Service was great. Our guests loved the food as we did.
Literally the best food I ate on my trip. Really loved the burger, caprese SOUP, breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet you can still order eggs anyway you like. There are options that have Asian and European influence. Staff was incredible.
Good eats amazing decor. Went with family the first time, but definitely a great low key first date spot. I'd definitely go back again. The popcorn shrimp was all that as well!
I liked this place. Very upscale, trendy, and fun. They have everything you could want. Nice atmosphere, great drinks, vegan, gluten free, or conventional food. There's also a hotel, and they offer Valet Parking. Thumbs up.
Food was amazing, really fast service. Bar was by for one of the best in any hotel I've ever been to. Each shift had a bartender that was a character. Really amazing atmosphere.
Excellent Food and Better Service ...also it's a very low key gem amongst downtown LA's illustrious restaurant selections!! I highly recommend to all!! You can have eat and charge your Tesla to a full up SuperCharge 😁
Good food, interesting dishes.
Heidi was a great hostess & server. Go experience the brunch on the weekend! I received the best customer service and great recommendations. Oscar prepared the food which was all done to perfection!
Loved my experience! From the beginning of my diner to the end. Must try is the burger!! I never thought I’d regret not taking a picture of my food… I should have! The deserts too! See Hannah! She’s great.
Nehemias is a great server! He was very attentive and checked in multiple times! My steak and eggs came out as I requested and was delicious! I had hot tea just to find out that they serve Tea Forte teas (any tea drinker knows tea forte sets the bar!!). Overall 10/10 experience for the restaurant. The bar experience wasn’t as 10/10 due to the late night waitress attitude but oh well.
A yum-worthy and pleasantly uncrowded brunch at this South Park eatery located off the lobby of the Hotel Indigo, this was a good find on a lazy Sunday. I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich, but hope to return to try the Eggs Benedict on croissant. Walking distance from Metro’s 7th Street/Metro Center and Pico stations.
I like the atmosphere at the u shaped bar. Staffs were nice and friendly. There are various of draft beer and other drinks. Behind the bar is the restaurant, i did try breakfast. It was ok.
For the most part, the food and service was great. Ate here twice during my stay. The breakfast can be a bit too greasy and the Orange juice tasted a bit oily. I’d still eat here again tho. My family and I enjoyed ourselves!
Stopped in for Mother's Day brunch. The Metro pole Bar + Kitchen are all so wonderful and friendly. The food is amazing. Great experience!! Merci!!! Skip everything on the dessert menu and just order the chocolate soufflé.
Pretty good food. Like their combination of fusion. Bacon wrapped dates definitely the best finger food. We also tried the BBQ chicken flat bread. It was ok. Have had better. The Peking duck buns we're pretty good. Different bc it is topped with kimchi. The cocktails are above average. Like the setting and great service.
The food was okay. We were staying at the hotel so it was convenient. The service was great. We had a very pleasant waitress.
Very nice environment and good food. Usually not busy, but not cheap at all. Still, I did have a good experience and could have real good instead of american food
Decent vegetarian options in a cool, modern hotel lobby. Slightly sterile feeling but quite tasty and the service was very warm.
Had a great time at this bar yesterday! The atmosphere was cozy and perfect for an intimate, quick bite. The decor is stunning—definitely a great spot for snapping a few pictures. The food and drinks were excellent, making it a spot I’d happily return to!
Came for New Years Eve 5 course meal & was pretty good. Besides the facts the waitress took almost 10 minutes to even greet us & the drinks were taking almost 20 minutes to arrive. Sent the risotto back for being way too bland and chose a salad instead, besides that the steak, wine, & bread bowl were great.
Between the two of us one meal was good and the other not great at all. Service was intermittent and I couldn't even get a refill. If staying at the Indigo I'd look outside the building for dinner. Drinks were good thought so the bar is alright.
The good thing about the food was that the chicken was tender and juicy. Everything else is a no.. the food was over seasoned, the salad too sweet, the potatoes too salty, overall it was not worth it. Not coming back
Wasn’t impressed. The food looked good but was overpriced and bland. Service staff kept forgetting things and didn’t seem that interested in helping. Got sat at a table that wasn’t completely set and didn’t have all cutlery. Sat at the table for ages before even offered a drink. When I got a drink I got half a glass of wine and they said they would get me a full one next for free but I got charged for it. Didn’t have everything on menu or wine list either so had to choose a few times to get something they had. Won’t be returning. Can spend less money for a better meal elsewhere
The service for brunch was absent, food was bland, environs were acceptable.
Food was just ok, but the problem is the portion size for the price! Way too much money for the food I got. Better deals at Universal $tudios!
It's a restaurant in a hotel. Not bad but not great. Definitely not for dates or fine dining. Great if you're staying at the hotel or close by but not for impressing anybody.
The breakfast was trash. Its the same continental breakfast you get everywhere else for free except it's $100 for 2 people. The same powdered scrambled eggs, rock hard pancakes and bagels as everywhere else.
I just watched a woman of color experience the HIGHEST level of racism! I watched the manager Darrick treat a patron so bad my hear hurts for her. I’m so disappointed I want to check out
Unfortunately the manager was very abrasive and disrespectful tonight when we were trying to use our IHG drink vouchers. I've never had this kind of experience at an Indigo property before. Would not recommend.
DON’T COME HERE IF YOU DONT WANT TO FEEL SELF CONSCIOUS. I came here around 11 and sat at the bar. No one helped us until 11:25. Breakfast ends at 11, we ask if there is still a breakfast menu available. No. Okay that’s fine. We order two entrees and an app with a mimosa. We were here for three hours!! I had three mimosas!! I was laughing and enjoying my time, but essentially three glasses of champagne over three hours. I ordered one more. The bartender, Hugo, asked me “if I could handle another” to which I said “?? Yes?” He brought me a water and said “I’ll bring it to you in a few minutes” so I said “no that’s okay. Don’t worry about it.” When he brought us out check he apologized for cutting me off. It was extremely bizarre and super unnecessary. He made me feel weird for laughing and joking around with my fiancé. The soup was cold twice. Service is bad. Won’t go back
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Just waited an HOUR AND A HALF for food that NEVER arrived. We had a reservation at 7, were there early, then waited an hour in the bar to be seated. After, we ordered food and then waiting another 30 minutes. We sent several staff back to ask about our food who didn't even have the decency to return. Don't go here, the drinks weren't even good and were over priced. Can't tell you how the food was because they didn't even give us bread.
Is there anything less than one star? We made a reservation through OpenTable for 7pm... They were "just cleaning up" and suggested we wait in the bar for a few minutes. An hour later, after astoundingly slow serive in the bar 15 minutes of standing to get a drink) and several polite checks later, each of which was met with "Just a couple moments."… we were finally seated... In the bar region. We ordered immediately. Half an hour later, we asked how our meals were coming. The server (not ours, we never saw him again) came back after a few minutes and asked if we were waiting for our desserts. Nope. We waited another few minutes with no further updates or service. We walked out after 105 minutes, hangry. Kindergartners would be more competent. Save yourself the annoyance, this place sucks.
Maybe the chef was on vacation. Out of all dinner, only the water was ok. The service also nice :))
Let me save anyone from eating at this god awful restaurant. We stayed at the hotel and thought it would be convenient to eat at. Good god it was the worst meal I ever had. I ordered the fish tacos and the tortillas were stale hard. The fish was so overcooked I couldn’t swallow it. My daughter had the caprese salad. The mozzarella was ok but the tomatoes had that grittiness when they are over ripe. My neice had a pasta with meat. The meet was inedible she just ate the pasta. Since we all hated the food (the truffle fries were the only ok thing) we thought dessert was in order. The s’mores cake sounded great but this is probably the only sweet I’ve seen us all turn away. They took off the dessert (the waitress actually said after the fact that it wasn’t a good one to choose) and my dish. In the customer service business they should have comped the entire meal as it ruined our night. Stay away!
