Absolutely loved this place!!! Best Pho I’ve ever had, hands down. Staff was so nice and everyone had a great attitude and so welcoming. Clean restaurant, nice music, cool atmosphere, amazing food. I mean… wow. Everything from the fried rice to the pho soup was phenomenal. Can’t say enough good things about my experience and I’m looking forward to my next visit!!

Conner assisted me on my order, recommended some very good dishes, overall I picked the combination bowl. The food was 10/10 broth was savory but most importantly, the service was spot on. Definitely will come back, and try other bowls. Conner definitely made the atmosphere more welcoming. Thanks again

I’ll be honest—I wasn’t expecting much, but PHO District 1 completely exceeded expectations. In what feels like a classic college town, this spot delivers seriously good Vietnamese food with bold, comforting flavors that hold their own anywhere. The pho was rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying—exactly what you want on a cold day or after a long one. What really stood out was how accommodating they were with customization. Every request was met with ease, and the end result was a bowl that felt thoughtfully made, not rushed or generic. Service was friendly, the place was packed (always a good sign), and the food spoke for itself. If you’re craving legit pho and flavorful Vietnamese comfort food, this spot is absolutely worth the stop—and honestly, it’s a standout for the area.

Landed yesterday and we were in the mood for something hot. This place did not disappoint pho was great, we built our own bowls with brisket and steak it was awesome, the melon boba with mango jelly was so good. Our server was super nice and quick, they had just opened so we were one of the only people there but the restaurant was clean and very inviting, thanks!

In my opinion this is the best pho in town. I love this place and come at the very least once a week. I will say it seems that they nickel and dime you for things such as limes, chili oil, and such when I easily spend 50-60 dollars a week. Can be a bit annoying but I also understand the troubles that come with inflation as well. overall the quality of the food is worth the few extra bucks. They have never gotten my order wrong and I really can’t rave enough about this place.

First time trying Pho and this was a great place to come! Got the daily special of Pork Belly Pho and shrimp spring rolls. Everything was good so well. Pork was crispy but not dry and broth was excellent. I will be coming back for sure!

Everything was good and perfect. My nephew ordered wings and rice, he was happy with the flavor and the crunch. I had Ox Tail and that in itself was incredible. Now I don't know if he was the owner, but a man came to our table and spoke with and mixed some sauce to add to my soup. Well anyways, he was very kind and cool to where he ordered us a couple of spring rolls. And I would go again. Sadly won't be able to till another vacation but I would definitely return.

Food was very good at a good price, I love their pho, good boba with different flavors. The staff is very friendly and give their opinion on the food which is mostly good. Atmosphere if nice, calm warm lighting with nice booth seats. It is small so I would really only bring 4 people max.

Fresh and delicious food! Great new experience for me today! Chef and waiter were very courteous and generous...always kept me informed on my order and gave me complimentary egg rolls due to a misunderstanding in the kitchen. I was not in a hurry, nor did I mind waiting a short bit longer...it didn't bother me one bit. But hey, I got a bonus of egg rolls which was delicious also. Definitely recommend and will be going back!

I was passing through Lubbock wondering if they had Pho, had a craving, and this was the place I picked and im glad I did too! Great service, great food, the pho tastes so homemade; it was absolutely awesome and took me by surprise! Will definitely come back and recommend to everyone passing through Lubbock. Owner Brian came out and checked on me even and asked how everything was, very chill sincere guy. 100/100 from me!

I stopped by this place for dinner with family while staying in the area for a few days, and I'm happy I did! The food here is delicious and fairly priced. You have the option of ordering pho with your own custom selection of up to 3 meats, which I went with - I ordered the custom pho with brisket and meatballs (pic attached). What I liked here is that they gave us each the perfect amount of beansprouts and other additions on the side; many other pho locations often pile on the beansprouts, and we may not use them all. Though, I'm sure you could ask for more here if you wanted! Our server, Mori, was super nice and friendly, which we appreciated, and the place overall had a warm, quiet atmosphere. This place is also located near a Market Street, making it convenient to go shopping right after having lunch or dinner. While we aimed to visit different places each day while we were in the city, we found ourselves wanting to visit this restaurant again by the end of our trip. Would highly recommend!

This was our first time eating at Pho District 1. When you first walk in, it is a very busy place. We got seated right away. Our waitress was very prompt. Our food was ordered correctly, and the food came out really fast for a busy place. In my opinion, the food was very flavorful, and the beef was very tender. I will definitely be returning to this place! I will attach pictures of what we ordered, which are: B1. Bun Thit Bo Nuong- Rice Vermicelli with grilled beef & CC2. Com Chiên Thịt Bò- Fried rice with tenderloin beef

We had lunch here at about 12:30 on 6/23/24. We were welcomed with smiles from multiple members of the staff and were immediately seated. Everyone was so nice and friendly. They checked in on us often. By far the best customer service we have had in a very long time! I had a Thai tea that was so good! We shared egg rolls and they were hot and fresh, very crispy shell and tasty filling. They are served with a sweet chili sauce dipping sauce. I have been wanting to try a bahn mi sandwich, so my husband and I ordered and split the grilled pork sandwich. Our sweet waitress said she would ask them to cut it in half since we were sharing. This was delicious! The bread was warm and fresh! The meat was cooked to perfection and the veggies were crisp and fresh. My husband ordered the beef fried rice and I had the pork fried rice. The rice had a really great flavor. The beef and pork were cooked perfectly! The flavor was amazing and the meat was super tender. We ordered way more than we could eat so we have left overs for lunch tomorrow. Again, the service was the best we have had in a long time, the food was fantastic! We cannot wait to go back! (Google only gave a few options to recommend, we would recommend everything we ordered!)

We had lunch here around 11:00 on 12/2. We were warmly welcomed and immediately seated. The staff were incredibly friendly and checked on us often. The brown sugar milk tea was delicious. The egg rolls were fresh and crispy on the outside with a flavorful filling and a bright sweet and sour dipping sauce. The sandwich was filled with refreshing veggies and perfectly cooked chicken inside of a nice soft bun. My pho was the best I’ve ever tasted. The broth had an amazing depth of flavor and the meat was great quality. My wife’s chicken fried rice was also the best she had ever tasted as well. And then the bill was surprisingly low considering all the food we ordered! I highly recommend coming here for absolutely delightful food at affordable prices. We had a good time!

In a word: Good. The service was good. The food was good. The atmosphere was good. We were in Lubbock for my granddaughter’s theater play and afterwards, she requested we go to this restaurant for dinner. We were the last customers of the night, but we were treated like we were the first customers of the night. The service was very nice and attentive. We enjoyed talking to the owner who came out a few times to see if we had everything we needed. For dinner, we tried a few Phos, seafood, oxtail, spicy, and meatball pho. We thought that it was okay, but thought that the broth could have been more flavorful. We thought that the spicy pho could have been more spicy and that the oxtails could have been more tender and the sliced beef more tender. The Korean beef ribs were tender and flavorful and the fried rice was very good. We felt like the food was reasonably priced and had large portions. For a college town, students could eat here for a reasonable price and have leftovers. I recommend this restaurant for college students, families and friends. The service is great!

My kids assure me this was probably a one off, but the service was horrible. Our waitress took drink and appetizer order then never came back. We finally asked a different server to get her so we could order. He got her then after ordering, we didn't see her again. We asked the same male server to check and he asked, you haven't gotten any food? Appetizers, yes. Meal no. He went to the back and one plate appeared immediately. About 30 minutes passed. Our waitress served the tables around us but would not look at our table. We asked the same male server, who looked horrified we were still sitting with no food, finally brought our order out. The food was fine. We waited for the ticket, which of course never came, then went to the register. The waitress made eye contact then but no move to the front. The cashier asked who our wait staff was, male or female. We said female and he laughed and said her name. He summoned her and she asked if we were ready to go. Really? I paid with a card and the machine was defaulted to an 18% tip. I changed it to 15, which was WAY to much for her, but we'd been there almost 2 hours and I'm thinking the girl is challenged in some way, so I left it at that. Will I be back? I don't live here so the chances are slim. But if I do and she's still there I'll ask for a different server. One who knows how to do the job.

Very small and cute place. The staff is very welcoming and the atmosphere is very nice with the music they have going in the background. It’s not too loud, so you can enjoy some slight conversation as well. The pho was delicious. My first time trying it and I ordered the Pho Special/Pho Dac Biet. Definitely want to go back and try the Pho Seafood Combination/Pho Hai San!

Not as good as it used to be. Manner included. I first recalled that the owner constantly inquired about the customer experience during the 2023-2024 period; not recently but spamming with uneven service. One more point that I want to add here is that they are saving more meat? 16+ tips for pho special with only 3 slices of beef and half flour flavour meatball with the rest full of overcooked vermicelli. But it says from flank to brisket to fat brisket, right? Rip🙁

Love this place, so, it’s a little hard to give them an imperfect review. I dine in and carryout often, and usually I'm stunned at how fast we’re served. However, my mom is visiting for Christmas, and so I was a little embarrassed at what a bad experience she had at a restaurant I raved about. All in all, the food was delicious, as usual-for the most part. We ordered four appetizers, coconut, shrimp, Vietnamese, sausage, egg rolls, and the fried dumplings. The coconut shrimp and the dumplings were on the cusp of burned. My daughter ordered chicken fried rice, which was good, and the rest of us, for in total ordered our preferred version of pho. The veggies were definitely skimpy, which is unusual, but the biggest surprise was the service. I almost feel like we made her mad somehow. She came and took her drink order and an appetizer order, and then after that, she either forgot us or avoided us. She served every table around us, except for ours, And after we finally flagged down another waiter, she came back once more, but any other interaction after that point was with him. We literally sat there for about two hours and 15 minutes to finish our meal, And most of it was spent waiting and wondering if she’d left. We finally realized she was sitting in a booth in the back corner chitchatting, but we never got any feedback on the complete and utter lack of attentiveness. We waited for the check for about 25 minutes, and I finally gave up and said we should just pay at the counter. At that point, the young man checking us out asked who our server was, and while I didn’t know her name, we pointed her out and he called her over. She took their little pay machine and brought up our ticket, and my mom paid. The sticking point was, that when it came to the tip screen, my mom didn’t push anything at first, mostly because I think she was discombobulated and trying to figure out how not to use the default amount-then the terrible server straight up asked if she was going to leave a tip. It was funny, because we’d even discussed the fact that we wanted to make sure that the male server who actually served us got the tip because he did the work. Anyway, I hope this is not the new norm-especially because I plan on coming back for an annual “post inventory dinner” with my coworkers in a few weeks, and it’s one of our favorite traditions. I also hope I can update this review at some point to indicate that this was a weird one-off, but it did leave a pretty bad taste in my mouth.

I was greeted by the young host, and since I was dining alone, I was seated in a side section that was empty. I’ve asked if I can be seated in the main dining area, but was told that they keep that area for larger groups. It wasn’t full and I do think that a customer’s satisfaction should’ve been considered and better served, but I didn’t argue. A different young server came to take the order, and I must point out that both that interacted with me showed the least willing to be there, and do what they paid to do… pho was nice, although - as you can see in the pictures, they skimp a little on the add ons (sprouts, basil leaves). However there was a big portion of the noodles in the bowl. Not even ones I was approached to be asked if everything is ok, if I need anything, etc. seems like a nice restaurant, but service need to be better in my honest opinion.

I’m posting this review on both Google and Yelp, as I’m not sure which platform the restaurant uses. 1. Our experience with our server was extremely disappointing. She was unprofessional, inattentive, and dismissive throughout our visit. I requested chili oil several times, but she kept bringing only a very small amount. It wasn’t until the end of the meal—after about a ten-minute wait—that she finally provided a reasonable portion. After we paid, we asked for a receipt, but she walked away, and we had to ask another server to assist us instead. 2. The fried rice was very underwhelming—it was essentially plain white rice with no egg or vegetables, even though we paid extra for it. Additionally, when I received the raw beef for my pho, the pieces were extremely small, almost like scraps from the bottom of a container. The pho itself is good, but I’ve noticed they tend to provide larger portions when you order takeout compared to dining in. 3. We were also charged for chili oil and another item that we didn’t order. Thankfully, the owner resolved the issue promptly and refunded us in cash, which is the only reason this review is two stars instead of one. Overall, while the pho tastes great, the service and food quality during this visit were unacceptable for the price. I appreciate the owner addressing the billing issue, but I hope management takes steps to improve both customer service and consistency in food preparation.

Order pho on your own. Vegetables served were not fresh and very little. Mung bean sprouts have funky smell and basal was nonsense to eat. Pho supposed to have three kind of meats as I order but I have only one piece flank but all brisket. Brisket have funky smell while I chow. It may prepared for a long time before I order. I will not recommend this place.

That was the veggie portion I received with my pho. When I asked the server for more, he said there would be an extra charge - but gave me a tiny bowl at no cost. However, the owner came by to check on the booth behind me, SKIPPED over me entirely, and then went to the booth in front of me to ask how everything was. This was my first and last visit. If you want amazing pho with a generous portion of veggies, take a trip to Houston! Even Dallas has better pho than this place.
