Awesome sandwich made with super thin steak on a bun.Fast and courteous service. You can dine in or take out, the menu has ice cream or frozen custard that looks delicious. The sandwich was too big for me to indulge in dessert but there is always another trip.

This is the only genuine smash burger in Lubbock, and it is the absolute best burger in Lubbock! About 8 months ago they stepped their game up in a big way! I could not be more happy (unless they switched to normal sized french fries, that would make me happier.)!

I went one evening during rush and there was only one booth open that was dirty. The cashier noticed it right away and cleaned it for us with a smile. There was a lot going on but the atmosphere was great and we got quick service and the food was good. The little cashier with tattoos was so sweet when it came to our service and the smile never left her face even though it was so busy. Will definitely be going again

Great service! Everyone was super friendly and the food was great! It's been so long since I've gone to a restaurant and they got the whole order right. They even wiped the drinks down so there was no soda on the outside of the cups. They also double cupped the ice cream. Will definitely be going back to this location.

I love this spot. Best chain restaurant burger in town. They season the meat to perfection I love going here on my lunch breaks always get me a triple patty with bacon, and some swamp water aka Arnold palmer aka lemonade n sweet. The fry sauce is awesome too. Very polite staff definitely return customer. I have yet to try they're frozen custard cause not big on ice cream but will definitely try it eventually

I had the patty melt on rye bread. I have never had a patty melt on rye bread and I loved it. The meat is tender and no gristle. The French fries are really thin and crispy. My dad loves those because there is nothing mushy about them. They are cooked all the way through. I like the fry sauce. I can't place the flavor but I like it better than ketchup.

Tried it for the first time on 7.22.14 and loved it, loved it, loved it. Everything was great from the juicy dripping juices from my juicy well cooked burger to the nice crispy made the right way fries. If you haven't tried the hot dogs...oh my...the chicago dog was on time with the bun toasted to perfection. Will be returning oh yes, I will. The staff was really nice and friendly as well.

I absolutely love this place. I went with my dad last Thursday. The lady at the register knew him well as a regular customer, and was very kind. Took our order without questions. Our food was delivered hot and tasted fabulous. Thanks Freddy's employee for taking the time to get to know my 81 year old father. As his daughter I'm proud so many recognize him, greet him and treat him with kindness and respect. No rotten tomatoes here. Just 2 thumbs up 👍👍

We chose Freddy’s for dinner on Wednesday evening, October 1st. When we walked in, we considered turning around and leaving due to an unusually long line at the order counter (large church youth group). We decided to wait it out in line, anticipating similar wait times elsewhere. Despite the length of the line (we estimated at least 25-30 orders ahead of us and many behind us) and the seemingly short staff for the crowd at hand, we received excellent service at the order counter. The food prep workers were getting orders out very quickly and efficiently. We were so surprised at how quickly we received our food! Our order was accurate, hot and fresh. We could not believe how efficiently this group of individuals worked to take care of such a large crowd! We have been to full-service restaurants in similar situations and have not seen such efficiency from 2-3 times the staff! These folks worked like a fine-tuned machine! We did praise a few of the employees there and they were very polite and appreciative. Keep up the good teamwork!

Almost immediately after eating the burger I got from Freddy’s I hate to run to the restroom. My stomach is hurting so bad! I eat very clean and sometimes I treat myself and my kids for some takeout but this is so not worth it! Also the soda tastes like dirty moldy rags! I will never eat there again but for the love of peoples safety check the quality of your food and soda machine. I guarantee you there is mold in your soda dispensers! You lost me and my family as a customer.

Little crazy 😆. They were slammed on a boiling hot day, we wanted ice cream. Drive thru was SUPER long, we waited patiently. Finally get the window, hand the kid my card. He starts handing us bags of food and drinks. Half way in the process, he stops and says "wait, is that all yours"? I'm like "I have no idea".... he is like "hand me everything back!" So we start handing all the food bags and drinks back to him. He looks at me and asks "did yall eat anything"? We are laughing at this point and assure him in the 15 seconds it took as he handed us everything we didn't have time to eat any of someone else's order. We wait a few minutes and he comes back with our order-but during the confusion the kid didn't give me my debit card back.... didn't realize until late that night. Call early the next day and they swear they don't have it- I know they have it. Call back in the afternoon and ask to speak with a shift manager- she swears they don't have it- I know they have it. Wait a few hours and call back and ask to speak with the head manager- the girl from earlier gets rude, she says "we don't have your card sir". I tell her she does... she takes my number and I can hear her complaining about me to other employees. 20min later the manager calls-they have my card....

The food was awesome and made perfectly. Asked about first responder and/or military discount and they said they only offer that on Monday and Tuesday for some reason. Like those are the only days we count don't understand that. Would of gotten 5 stars other wise.

I like the party melt. The wait in the drive thru was surprisingly long considering there was no one else in the drive thru. Food was good though and the employees were nice. The cheese curds are good too.

I really like the burgers here. Patties are thin but they put 2 on there. Their fries are the BEST! Shakes are also very good! A little more expensive than your average burger place, but very good food!

The only downside was the fries were not fresh they were hard from sitting too long. I specifically asked for freshly dropped fries and didn't get them. Great food and service! Love the cheese curds! You can get them instead of fries with the combo, which I did. The custard is wonderful, I liked it plain but I also have tried it in a caramel Sunday or a concrete, and it was delicious.

Food was hot & fresh. Service a little slow, they were very busy. The tables all appear to be dirty, even though they were quickly cleaned, looks like they all need a really good scrubbing.

I would like to give it a 3.5. I was really excited to try this joint. A representative stopped by my job and gave us vouchers for a free meal- sweet! I went right after work and ordered the patty melt. To my disappointment the meat and bread was overcooked. The fries were definitely the best part of my meal! If I would've paid full price for my meal I would've not been satisfied.

One of my grandsons fav restaurants, why, food is good, shoestring fries and after all of that a frozen custard. He like vanilla with worms and dirt. Okay here we go...good menu selections from burgers to chicken( don't forget the smash burger taco). Sounds weird but it's a good twist to a smash burger. This location the food was good, fast and the workers were very nice. If it's your first time try the Freddy sauce original and the jalapeno style sauce. I'm usually a whataburger or MCD kind of guy, but once in awhile it's good to change it up and throw a Freddie's in the mix. Decent price, too.

I've eaten at Freddy's several times but today was different. I had always ordered my Freddy's burger "as is", without modifications. Today I customized my double burger with a slight variation of the vegetables and I chose to eliminate the thousand island dressing and add mustard. It was delicious. While I like thousand island dressing, I prefer it on my salad, not my burger and I would use mustard as my only condiment if I was cooking it at home. I found the burger much more to my liking and much less messy to eat. I will probably eat here much more often in the future. The guy who took my order was pleasant, personable and listened to what I was saying instead of interrupting me to ask if I want X, Y, and Z. Overall a great experience.

New hamburger joint in Lubbock. Not a bad burger, even though they call them steak burgers. Fries aren't that great. Onion rings are better. My burger had bacon and cheese, which made it pretty good. Sorry I couldn't take the picture before eating the brownie sundae. It was pretty good. Cheese curds were a little better than average. For a fast food restaurant they even had employees come by and ask if you needed anything or offered to take away your trash. Almost a 5 star review.

Freddy's has very tasty burgers with very thin meat so you will probably want a double meat burger which is equivalent to most burgers. They have yummy sauce for your fries. We tried Fried cheese curd and it was pretty dang good. The custard it so creamy and wonderful!

First visit here, fried are shoe-string, nice change from all other places. Service was okay, either untrained, rushed, or equipment issues as it took 5 minutes for a broken up communication to the drive through. My sandwich was terrible, I could not even eat it all which says a lot as I am known as "Mickey" to those who know me best. The Ruben was flavorless, the meat was not more than cube steak fried or breaded and fried. I have made better sandwiches while drunk. My daughters burger was okay, she atleast ate the entire meal, which she never does. I will bbn give this place one more try before I close their chain from my go to places to grab a bite. Hopefully the next time will be better.

The prices are realllllllly high. It is a quality product though. I just wish it was a pinch less in cost. I got a Hot Fudge, Cashew, and Banana Concrete. It was thicker than a milkshake (comparable to a blizzard from DQ) the ice cream is a custard which is super delicious. That flavor combo was spot on delicious! My hubs had the Hawaiian concrete and he loooooved it. He said he got a lot of strawberry and pineapple flavor. A friend of ours just got a one scoop waffle cone and he enjoyed it. The concretes were a medium and the total of all three items came out to $17 dollars. Maybe I'm cheap or maybe I've been spoiled with better prices elsewhere but it just seemed a bit much. It was really good though.

Food is good but I ordered a concrete for after my meal I went up to the counter to get it I was told that it would be ready in just a minute went back to my table to wait set there for about 10 minutes then finally went back to the counter and the young man behind the counter was like oh you're still waiting on your concrete. I just told him don't worry about it and give me my money back on it.

If you wanted a freddys style burger just use lawrys season salt on ground beef. Even more so just have butcher grind a steak or any lean beef multiple times...but still lawry season salt...kaiser roll or regular bun. So unimpressed with cold pattues here. And 10$ for double california SOOO not worth it.

Ice cream/frozen custard was good, but they need to back way way off on using the entire salt shaker on the burgers and fries. If you didn't have kidney failure before getting the combo, you'll have it when you leave. Make sure to order water, you'll need some.

Heads up, not a cheap fast food joint! Price seems to have gone up like everywhere else. That being said...Fries are great when fresh & hot, but you'd have to eat at the restaurant or in the parking lot, bc the fries do NOT hold up temp or taste wise, even after just a short drive home. The jalepeno fry sauce is good w/fries & burgers. Burger's are good, thin, steak patties, so if you like thick burgers, you'll need to order at least a double. They're made to order from what I understand & appreciate, so it usually takes a bit to get your order out. My only "gripe" is that any time I've received my bag, the worker immediately walks away from the window, so the time's I'm missing something from my bag it's hell trying to get someone's attention (even when other worker's make direct eye contact lol) back to the window...which is weird bc there is usually a whole line waiting behind me. They must not plan on coming back to window at all until that next order is ready or something🤷‍♀️. Overall pretty good fast"ish" food. The custard desserts have always been hit and miss with me.

The burgers here are great. Shoestring fries. And great shakes. The music was blasting. And not in a good way. It was turned it it was distorting as it came out of the speakers. They played one song and a lady came on, the dj or station host or whatever and screamed a 5 minute story about who knows what. Then one more song, and a 5 minute screamed story. I asked if they could turn it down some. I was told no. It was horrible. I had to yell to order the teenage girl that was running the register couldn't hear me unless I yelled. The 2 teens in the back both had ear buds in so they didn't have to listen to the horrible sound over the speakers. We ate, we left. We (my wife and i) did not want to be there anylonger then it took to eat.

OK. The burgers were great. I ordered a chocolate brownie concrete. I wondered why my order didn't look as advertised. Nor did it have the brownie and hot fudge mixed in nor the whipped topping and cherry on top. I dug my way to the bottom and all it was, was just a chocolate concrete. You expect orders to be filled the way you ask, even at fast food places. Maybe the music was so loud the counter guy didn't understand. The good news is that I was charged for what someone "thought" I ordered, not "what" I ordered. Count me disappointed. But the burger was good.

Good food and fast service but the place needed a good cleaning and employees doing their jobs not standing around acting like they are cleaning. The tables need a through cleaning and the one i sat at had dried icecream caked on from a few days ago. Waist area had a large stack of trays/baskets and needed to be emptied.

😏The lady that works the drive thru sometimes, is very rude she usually works in the evening until closed, I do door dash sometimes and for some reason they act like it's a big problem picking up orders thru the drive thru even if nobodies in the line, I asked the lady why do I have to come in there is nobody in line but me and she said "I don't know you just need to come in and get it", I'm like lady I'm picking up for y'all's customers and I'm also a customer. But I'll probably never eat there or pick up from there again, then she started talking to other employees about me like I wasn't even there, it was a horrible situation and it took everything in me not to lose my cool. She needs to be re-trained on customer service or find a another job that she's happy with.😒

I once ordered a burger combo (burger, onion rings, soda) and a concrete. They didn't include my concrete in the order and then refused to refund me the cost of the missing item. Good food but bad people.

Decided to give Freddy's a try tonight. The dining room was empty yet almost every table was dirty. The girl that took our order didn't even greet us or let us know she was ready to take our order. After a little awkward silence we jumped in and started ordering. They were out-of custard so we ordered a #1 and #2 with onion rings. They ended up being out of onion rings, the burgers were good but honestly I've had better at braums and the fries were way too salty. Really too bad since I know they are better than this and I do understand that post covid good help has gone by the wayside but training the cashiers in service could've gone alone way.

This place has the price of a Five guys/Fuddruckers but the quality of a McDonald's. Ordered the patty melt, it was overcooked and the bread was dry. The fries are small and weren't very good. Fried pickles tasted old and were very expensive. Service was good and everyone was friendly so at least there is that. Also for some reason they have their water? system by the front door which looks real bad.

2 of the 6 burgers we ordered were prepared wrong. When we got into the concretes they had been blended into one homogeneous mass, with only the smallest specs of brownie even identifiable. Very unimpressed.

Ordered a burger for delivery and they forgot the bun and wouldn’t fix it for me.couldn’t leave work to go get it fixed, hence why it was delivered.

They gave me the wrong order, but the manager was really nice about it and quickly got it taken care of. He gave me a complimentary card for a free meal which was great but the burger was way to salty as were the fries. For some people it might taste great but for me it was my first and last time to eat there. Although I may go back just to try the frozen treats that they have.

I'm giving two stars for my most recent visit. I get that they want to have your food hot and ready but I placed an online order and when I got there still had to wait 10 minutes for my food. It would have been quicker to go through the drive through. When I got on the road, the fries were old and over salted. I love Freddy's but this location needs to reevaluate. The guy at the front register was not friendly or helpful.

I am a frequent customer of Freddy’s and I’ve always had a great experience until tonight. The cashier rang up my order, I paid, and was charged. I’m assuming they had computer issues, and had to void then ring up my order again. The manager is very young and didn’t handle the situation well at all. I showed him that I had been charged, even though their computers didn’t reflect this. He acted like I was trying to get something for free, which wasn’t the case, because I offered to pay. They comped the meal and that’s the only reason they even received a 2-star review. I appreciate them comping the meal but your young manager needs to be trained on how to handle situations better. Instead of, treating customers like pieces of trash and like I was trying to get something for free. They could have just explained the situation, that is what was lacking, communication is key. Needless to say, him and all the employees were mean mugging me while I ate, too. Very disappointed because this could have easily been handled differently.

I used to work at Freddy's a while back. And when a guest complained they got meal comp cards. Well about a month and a half ago I was at the 19th location and they had messed up my food pretty bad. Two of our three meals were wrong. So we had received these cards. Today I decided to go back because I wanted a burger from there. I got told by the manager I wasn't aloud to use them because I used to work there.. they had a manger from the other stores signature on them.. not mine so why I couldn't use them is beyond me.. that's I won't be back to Freddy's again. If I'm just going to basically be accused of stealing. I put a lot of my time into that business left on a good note too. To be treated like a thief is unacceptable.

This place is going down fast! The wait at the drive-up is ridiculous. Waited 30 minutes in line and not even an apology from the cashier. To make things even worse, the burger was cold and burned! I swear the patties are thinner and smaller ! Will never go back to this place! So many other restaurants to choose from !!

I've given these guys a second chance and it was just as disappointing as the first. The meat has been overcooked both times to what tasted like burnt cardboard, very dry, and it is way too overpriced!!! Fries are thin and bland too.

Drive through service was awful. My order was completely wrong, and after I paid they gave me only half my meal. I had to tell the cashier that I was missing all my drinks and the 2 concretes I ordered. I asked her to please read back my order and she was unable to do so. Then a second lady came and told me to wait in the drive through parking spot. They brought out my concretes but forgot the drinks I ordered. I then had to ask for the large drinks that I ordered. They rushed to get them and brought out smalls. By then I was just flustered and ready to leave. Definitely not coming back!

The bathrooms were the worst I have ever seen. They were supposed to clean them but by the time we got done eating they were not. The screens were broken so we had to use paper menus. I have never eaten there but the fries had no flavor, and the patties were pretty much see through. I guess that is there thing so I am not judging, but if you are wanting a thick burger this is not your place.

The burgers are tasty, but the speed of service is horrible. Be prepared to wait...especially at the drive thru. Both locations need significant improvement in this area. Also, I recently attempted to call in an order to reduce the amount of wait time but was told they do not accept call-in orders.

Steak and Shake is so much better. This place has super thin patties, that's why every burger has two. The fries are so thin they are cold in just a few seconds. Had chili cheese fries and the they were not good. The price is expensive for such a small burger.

My family and I got take out on Monday evening. We ordered Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. Got home and no cheese. Called the store they said no problem we will comp your meal next time. Tried to eat the sandwich and the meat was horrible! Came back Thursday evening ordered Philly cheesesteak again. Got home again no cheese. The meat was so terrible tasting we could not eat it and fed it to our dogs. The people were nice but very incompetent! The meat is absolutely terrible and not eatable!

the drive through got my entire order wrong. The burgers were alright , after i removed everything we didnt order on them. Then of course it they all had mustard except for the one that was supposed to have mustard. The drinks were all wrong. We got 1 order of fries after we ordered 3. Then i call to tell them they didnt do very well listening or either the cook or the window person hated me and my wife. Either the district manager or the area manager was very nice and promised me he would send out coupons for the meals they messed up. He said 6. 2 for each order that was wrong. and almost 3 weeks later and still not even a card, a scrap of paper or anything from them. I have called to speak to them. Who ever answered told me the manager would call me back. And guess what? no call. Stay clear of these crooks and liars. If they mess up your order just accept it and move on because you will be wasting your time.

We have had bad experiences here for at least the last 2 years. We don’t go often anymore as they mess up our order every single time. The people working here who care are few and far between. I recommend going somewhere else unless you want to go up and get your order remade every single time. Also they asked if we wanted fry sauce or ketchup and we told them fry sauce. We got one fry sauce for two orders of fries and couldn’t use it as it’s already open. Goodbye Freddy’s.

It was not good. We wondered if it was under new management. Fries and meat were not seasoned and when I asked for some seasoning for our family of four, we were only "allowed" 5 small packets with hardly anything in them. Even the fry sauce was missing the seasoning salt. And they were out of the spicy fry sauce. It was basically mayo and ketchup mixed. Also, the tea had not been changed in several days. It could have stood on its own without a cup. We used to love this place but if this is how they are choosing to cut costs, we won't be back. We'd rather pay a bit more and get a good meal, than pay the "same great price" for inferior food. Sorry...we didn't even stay for custard as planned because we weren't sure if they might be cutting corners there. We went next door to Braum's instead.

My son and I went there tonight ordered some ice cream proceeded to look for a table to sit at and every single table in that restaurant was dirty with clearly visible grime. So I mentioned it to the girl behind the counter one she said nothing to me secondly I watched her demeanor as she went to go clean the tables and had to poor attitude about it. I saw her throw up her hands and start talking under her breath. Also before she went to go clean the tables she grabbed a visible dirty rag that had dirt spots all over it. Now I see why there tables are dirty because they're obviously not cleaning them and two they're cleaning them with their dirty rag that is disgusting and very unsanitary for a restaurant. I will definitely not go back. Don't go there unless you want to sit at dirty tables and get treated very poorly because their customer service is horrible.

There were hardly any customers there, 4 people working, and it took entirely too long to get our order out to us. Our order was wrong and the custard was completely melted. When we asked for a replacement they said "it's just melted." The manager came over and did give us new custard. The restaurant was also filthy and needed to be cleaned.

The food is good and usually comes out pretty quickly. Service is 9 times out of 10 bad, every time we order an ice cream or shake, it takes an hour for them to get it done, even when it isn't busy. The first few times we kept having to remind them that we had ordered, and whenever we ask for a refund and want to leave they grab a manager to make the "iced treat". My husband recently ordered me the hot chocolate shake, waited 45 minutes then finally asked them and the girl said she's never heard of it (even though there's a poster of it) and asked someone else, who said she doesn't know how to make it. Finally another employee asked what was going on and they told her and she ended up making it, she was confused herself as to why they didn't know how to make it and why it took so long to ask for help. Took basically an hour total, it's ridiculous.

Waited over 35 mins in the drive thru....as my husband grabbed the bags the worker said oh its all in there! I should of known better. We had the wrong drinks......4 tiny onion rings in the bag when a side of onion rings was ordered. We were also missing fries..... My child had just gotten out of surgery We were trying to grab lunch fast to get back to the hotel....only to realize our entire order was wrong after waiting over 35 mins at the window for our food. Last time I came the burger wasn't appetizing at all. This time I came in and got the chili dog. Couldn't pick it up to eat it to start with cause it was drenched in chili. My wife got me a fork and I took one bite and spit it out. I don't know if the hotdog was left over from yesterday or what but it was completely nasty tasting and had the consistency of a garden hose.

**Use extreme caution if gluten free**I’m so disappointed in this location. My teenage daughter stopped here for dinner on a road trip and has celiac disease and thus has to avoid all wheat. She stopped here on 7/20 and, after watching her lettuce wrapped burger made over an area covered with bread crumbs, asked that it be remade in a cleaner area. The young man working then threw his gloves off and was clearly fuming. Kudos to him for not saying anything rude but he was visibly not happy about the request. She also ordered a vanilla concrete with strawberries. It took a while so she asked about it and was told that the one sitting at the counter was hers (even though it was a different size). My daughter took one bite of it and found cake or cookie crumbles which she had to spit out. She returned to the counter to let the young lady working that it was NOT her concrete and it was remade. That is the only reason this location is getting 2 stars.

Ordered online and made sure to include several sauces because they’ve forgotten the sauce in the past. Food arrives with no sauce. Disappointed. Matters only got worse when we discovered a hair in the bottom of a food box after we had already taken a bite. I don’t normally leave reviews but this was just unacceptable.

The price has gotten higher and the portions smaller. Ordered a large cheese curd that could barely pass as a small. Literally like 8 pieces. Fries half full. I’m surprised the burger wasn’t half eaten and my drink half gone. But the price sure has doubled
