A Urban hip hole In the wall bar that offers great eats. My favorite is the Monterey jack chicken sandwich. It comes with a side but simple curly fries do it for me. As a appetizer we had chicharrones with a mild spice qeso. It's definitely a great bar food. What I thought was cool was the clam shell walls in the bathroom. Be sure to check it out.

Ever since I moved to Texas, I didn't really know anyone and I lived on 80th and Frankfurt and just decided to go out and took a chance on this place. I don't know why I choose that place but it turned out being one of the best nights I had here and it was so memorable I took pictures and posted on Instagram. You don't make any of my social media but this place made it.I have frequently gone back but as of Lately it's my go to place to meet people and the bartenders not only know your drink but they are friendly and are quick with thier service. This is a after work spot for many other restaurants in the area. If your a beautiful young lady, and a stand up guy I recommend this place. I have had some of my best nights there.

Lone Star has great oysters both fried or on the half shell. We enjoyed our visit, the staff was friendly and very attentive. Along with the fine food the adult beverages were excellent.

Jordan was our bartender and he was awesome. My girlfriend and I came to try a oyster shot and the staff was very helpful in getting it all dressed up for me. Beyond that Jordan made a delicious cucumber Chilton for me. I haven't had a good one here in Lubbock in quite some time. Big thanks to Jordan and the team.

not sure why an oyster bar doesn't know how to shuck an oyster... granted they were good.. and seemed fresh for this part of the world... but they were served on the lid of the oyster and they were still attached... I'm confused

Good place to have a drink. Came for karyoke night on Tuesday, very disappointed. The 'KJ' just played club music and never sang. If you're gonna karyoke, start the party yourself. An hour in, no one has sang.

I asked the bartender about the place, which triggered some regular enough that he tried to start a fight with me immediately. I suppose that all Texans live up to their stereotypes - all talk and no walk. Maybe that's just the kind of crowd that this place attracts. As far as the restaurant and wait staff go, the place is okay. It wasn't as smokey as I thought it might be and it didn't smell like fish at all. The wait staff informed me that it can get pretty crowded and smokey on the weekends. The wait staff is decent, but the regular crowd - not so much.

We ordered the platter for 13.99 and only got 3 fried oysters and 3 pieces of catfish. The beans and rice we to spicy to even enjoy I asked before I ordered if this was a good size portion and she lied. Nope. No waitress. The bartender was all over the place. Plus my pet peeve was she was playing with her freaking hair and not washing her hands yuk. Never again.

Food is good. Bartender girl is too busy visiting with and socializing at the other end of the bar to notice when anyone needs anything. Two other customers have had to get up from their table to ask for something.

Walked in. Smell of cigar and cigarette smoke overwhelmed us. Walked right back out.

Smoky room. Rude bartender and very dirty. We use to go there 10 years ago and came to town to get oysters(goo) and frosty scooner. Disappointed.

Hun took me out to dinner. I wanted oysters and a martini full of olives......what I get is a waitress with an attitude who we have to ask for condiments from multiple time, got no refills from, got no olives from, who upcharges my martini to a double without my consent and to top it off FOLLOWS US OUTSIDE after cashing out to ask (with full eye rolls) if she’s done something wrong. 😡 This was enough, I mean really follow us outside.....my hun starts to tell her what she did wrong and by the second word she cuts him off to say “yeah have a nice night” and walks off with full eye roll and hand waive. NEVER EVER going here again. It’s one thing to be busy and forget somethings or mess up a bit...but own it and fix it. Don’t talk mess and give attitude the entire time. She ruined our dinner date and frankly should not be a server anywhere if she’s going to act that way.

Horrible. Fried oysters were off in taste. Fried potatoes tasted old. Plus charged for salad dressing. Never heard of that. Won't be back.

Very good place, but I was overcharged for products and drinks I did not order. Upon dispute, I was violently mistreated and shoved out my staff and civilians. It was extremely unpleasant, I was charged for 6 alcoholic drinks when I did not order that. I was then shoved out by staff members and civilians and banned from the establishment upon me bringing up the dispute. It was unfair and absolutely unjust, I hope this does not happen to you.

This establishment is the SECOND biggest joke I’ve ever seen in Lubbock. First and foremost, the bartender last night asked a male customer to walk into the women’s restroom to ask another female customer to get her act together and to clean up her throw up. IM SORRY…it’s a bar(?). People are going to throw up. It comes with the territory. The bartender is LUCKY that the customer didn’t throw up on the bar and went to a bathroom stall. Not only did she make it to the stall, but she also cleaned up any and all throw up that didn’t make it into the toilet BEFORE the male even walked into the bathroom. Aside from that though, the fact that she asked a male to walk into the female’s restroom is astounding and should not have happened. It’s just asking for a bad situation to happen. The entire establishment treated us like outsiders and made it abundantly clear that we were not welcome. We would never recommend this place. Merry Christmas though!🙃

So I said sure I get up there, start the mic is on.... then the first girl who was being rude turns it off before the end of the first verse. At which point I dropped the mic on her table and walked away. This was my friends first experience in this bar and they were upset at the "service" of the staff. My friend got loud because of the way the girl was acting and we ended up getting kicked out. 10/10 do not recommend. Will not be back and will discourage others from ever going to a Karaoke night at this bar. I have tried around 15 trips to this bar to get a single positive review 13 of those times I brought people with me... always something negative happens with the staff or atmosphere. No toilet paper or paper towels in the ladies room.... the bottles taste like metal so beers are gross.... the rumple is hot like room temperature... it smells like sewage or acetone...
