Food is excellent, store is clean, staff is friendly. I always have good experiences here. It's a plus having a choice in healthy foods and party foods.

I like their food and the fast casual environment. I normally eat at the Beaumont store. I like the veggie pizza at the Beaumont location much more than the Lumberton location. It seems undercooked at Lumberton.

I’ve been to a lot of Schlotzsky’s locations and honestly I’ve never been much of a fan. I don’t know if it’s the friendly folks here or if they’re doing some sort of witchcraft behind the counter, but these are the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Try the tomato bisque too. I mean dang.

We enjoy this place for a nice, tasty sandwich. I usually get the original with double meat. Yummy! It is a big, filling portion. They also have a good variety of chips and soft drinks. Try this option in place of a fried meal. 😃

It has been years since I had Schlotzsky's and it was just as delicious as I remembered!!!

I'm giving the place all five stars because the young men working here are good, friendly workers. Now on the other hand the manager needs to take a valium or something. As a leader he needs to keep a calm head and not be freaking out when things speed up. As a customer I'd rather wait ten minutes for a correct order than receive a botched one in seven. The customers my fiance just delivered to said they were afraid to even check in their order because of his demeanor on the phone. On one hand you want to get people's food out to them as quickly as possible but on the other hand you want as few mistakes make as possible. Within ten seconds of being in this place I could gather that the crew doesn't care for the guy much due to his attitude, approach, and overall anxiousness that he displays. If your crew doesn't like you they aren't likely to be very enthusiastic about showing up to work or wanting your approval. Hopefully the manager reads this review and takes a little wisdom away from it.

I really like sandwiches so this is one of my favorites. They also have patio seating (outside kinda but still covered) along with their traditional seating, and I really like having the choice. You order food at the counter and sit wherever you like so tipping is not expected (in fact, you pay before you get your food.) They also use a soda fountain for drinks where you have to fill your own. Even with these conveniences that are typicaly only for more casual eating, the food is high quality and doesn't rightly compare to fastfood. This place really hits the "best of both worlds" of dining.

Ordered through the app a little less than a hr before they closed and had it ready by 8:45pm. When I got their it was hot fresh and ready. I got the California pizza on flat bread and asked them to go easy on the Chipotle. I had never eaten here before but a friend had posted about ordering this the other day and said how good it was so I thought I'd give it a try...best pizza I've seriously ever had. I loved the way they cut it so you got a good amt of ingredients in every bite. The regular crust as also good and is the pizza in the second picture...I go back and forth between flat bread and the regular lol but seriously I Highly recommend.

Very nice. The location is small and comfortable. The staff is excellent and always happy to accommodate special requests.

The soup was magma, but it was good. They do Not have coffee, even though they have Cinnabon, which is pretty odd.

I was stunned and elated to find a Schlotzsky's in Texas. The last such eatery in Edina, MN closed some 10 years ago with. O explanation of why. If anything, Schlotzsky's has become a formidable premier sandwich restaurant, leaving similar food fares in the dust. Great selection, ample portions and fair market pricing, make Schlotzsky's the logical choice when selecting a dining out sandwich eatery.

Food dependable and as expected. Atmosphere needs help. This franchise's stores used to have a warm, inviting feel, BUT sometime back, they went cold. Aesthetically, the stores are not very inviting. More of a come in, move on quickly feel. Not good. Dining, even at lunch, should be a pleasurable experience.

Your quality of service and food here will vary depending on who is working. There is no in the middle. Either you week have a great sandwich, or you will have cut up latex and paper in your sandwich.

My husband brought me my go-to sandwich — the Avocado Turkey — and it was sad. Thin. Flat. If I wanted a sad, thin sandwich, I’d have gone to Subway or made one at home. Schlotzsky’s, I’ve always loved you, but come on now — I’m paying for the veggies, so please put them on there! I’d hate to stop eating here (I’ve already been boycotting Pizza Hut for 8 years), and I don’t want to add you to that list. Do better, please… because I really want to keep coming back. I love Schlotzsky's but I went Pat right at closing time about 10 minutes before and I requested Oaks Mall original no mustard and I wanted it to be ran through the crisper twice I got it it had mustard on it and it was soft and have not been ran through twice. And while I still love Schlotzsky's I just will not return to this location.

Good fast food, minus the fast part. They are very slow, and oftentimes get your order wrong.

Must not be making fresh buns daily right now. We ordered 3 sandwiches today and the buns were very hard around the edges.

$18 for a slimy mustard skimpy on the meat sandwich and an average specialty sandwich. It was okay not great. Service here is hit or miss for us.

I have never gotten food to-go from here that wasn't missing half the order. The very least they could do is check the bags before giving the customer the order.

I thought it was a bit over priced..I paid $20 for a salad and a kids sandwich. The salad was delicious though. We sat in the outside area with the kids and it was pretty dirty, but the bathrooms were freshly cleaned..so 3 stars because it was average. Not a spot I'd choose again.

The sandwich you order from the pictures in the restaurant is not the one you get. 3 slices of lunch meat doesn't jive with the pictures. Walked past 7 tables to find a clean one. $3.46 for knock off chips and a drink..really? At least the employees were friendly.

Food was good, tasted great. Drive through employee was nice and respectful. Took way too long to get my food. Ordered one cup of potato soup and 1 sandwich, with no modifications. Was asked to pull around and they would bring food to me. Waited over 30 minutes for it, and finally had to go inside to get my food, because they couldn't find my vehicle to bring me my food. I'm not sure they really even tried to find it, I was parked right where they told me.

Major problems with the avocados. Not ripe and unedable. Broccoli cheese soup tasted like it had been sitting all day. I've had better at Subway.

Food is good but definitely recommend making the drive to Beaumont if customer service is important to you. I don't go to this location often because every time I do the person at the window is usually not very friendly. Ex: they open the window, ask what I ordered, slam the window, open up to tell me the total is with their hand out, slam the window to run my card, open it to shove food, debit card and receipt into my hands and slam the window. This is at least the 3rd time this has happened.

I've just never been crazy bout their food anyway....but my most recent visit, my coworkers weren't please with their sandwiches either. Sloppy.

NOT CINNAMON QUALITY. I don’t know why I returned to be disappointed. Whoever is running the show needs to have the staff take a Cinnabon tutorial! This pathetic five dollar sweet bread is not the ooey gooey Cinnabon delight that the brand intended! It’s small. It’s dry. It’s hard. Hardly any frosting or cinnamon filling. This has been my experience twice now. I wish Google let me post a picture. Please do a better job with this brand!

I love Schlotsky’s but I usually eat at a Schlotzsky’s outside Lumberton because I do not work in Lumberton. Today I decided to grab a couple originals for dinner and I’m sad to say they were the worse I’ve ever had. The bread was tough and there was hardly anything inside sandwich. I was surprised because Schlotsky’s sandwiches are usually over the top. The service and personnel were great but something went wrong on the sandwich making end.

This review is not to criticize the brand, we love the food and the food is the reason why this is not a 1 star review. The customer service experience was truly lacking at this location, from the awkward gentleman taking our oder to when my wife when back to the counter to get her chips, the lady asked her to pay and my wife ended up showing her receipt to prove she had paid for the chips. When the food came out, the lady just set it down and walked away. This is no where near the level of service we are accustomed to from all the other schlotzsky's that we have visited across the US

I stopped by Sunday about 5:30, wasn't sure you would be open. This is my first visit, I asked if you servered a Ruben sandwich, the guy that took my order said yes, he said you have a Ruben and a Pastromi, I said Corned beef, light kraut. When I sat down, I checked my receipt, it said Pastrami Ruben. I called a young lady over and explained I can't eat Pastrami. She went back to the kitchen, came back and said you don't have Corned beef, I said ok, bring my the Bacon, Turkey club, they were the same price. Half way through my sandwich, I noticed there was no bacon, again I called the young lady over and told her the sandwich was very good but would have been better with bacon. Her response was they put the Bacon under the cheese, at that point I just let it go. I was in the hospitality field for 50 years, been multi- unit supervisor, operated multi-million dollar operations. I will be back for a follow-up visit, also get some to go boxes.

It was a sandwich. The guys got each a personal pizza. 2 small drinks, 1 large drink and 3 cookies. It was 42 dollars. It was convenient at the time and not busy, service was great. Im just don't think ill ever go again.

The salads are nauseating and are not filling. I don’t know if it was the quality or particular combinations of foods, but I do not care for them at all. Years ago, I used to get their macaroni and cheese, which was the best ever. Now, they only serve it with other items in it. Huge disappointment. I’ve tried other items that my boyfriend or family have ordered, but I’ve never been particularly impressed. At this point, if anyone invited me to come here, I’d do my best to persuade them to pick another restaurant.

Stale bread, skimpy with ingredients, and an incorrect sandwich. All of the bread on all 3 sandwiches were stale. Mac and cheese was good and the chicken tortilla soup has good flavor (this is why they got 2 starts and not 1)

I have been a Schlotzkys lover since the early 1980's. My first experience was their signature "small" sandwich shop in my college town of Huntsville, texas. The sandwiches were instantly my favorite tasting sandwich I had ever eaten. A few years before I moved away the sandwich shop closed. Then about 25 years later the franchise started to take off and the sandwich shops began to open in every city we moved to. A new just opened about 6 miles from my house in Lumberton. My wife and I have been using the schlotzky app for a couple years now. We like the idea of earning our free sandwich. Where it went south.... I stopped going to the one in Beaumont because the last time I went to that location , I went to the restroom only to see one of the employees use the restroom ,not wash his hands, and then he went back into the food prep area. When I saw this, I simply walked out, never to come back to that location. Then we started going to the location in Lumberton. Until we decided to use the app to make an online purchase. We were having issues with the app and not o e person in the restaurant new anything about the app. We asked to speak to the manager. He was a young guy maybe young 20's. He was clueless! He told us that the app didn't belong to Schlotzkys and there was nothing he could do. Then he went back to the kitchen. We then sat in that restaurant trying to figure out how to place the order. We finally managed and literally watched our receipt print out in the restaurant as soon as we made the purchase online. This is where the service really got bad. My wife accidentally ordered a bottle water and wanted tea. I was going to order tea as well. We'll we saw the receipt print out and we asked if we could return the water for a tea. The manager refused. Stating that the app is through someone not associated with Schlotzkys. Thus we were stuck with a water we didn't want. Good thing we didn't make a 20 dollar mistake!! Then we tried calling customer service for a corporate number and we tried contacting administrator of the app. It's impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. I simply left a message that I needed someone to call.me or I'll never step foot into another schlotzky as long as I live. To this day, none has called me back and I will never step foot into a Schlotzkys until this matter is solved.

Cameron, the assistant manager decided not to honor a coupon for a drink and chips with a purchase. Not an expensive transaction or an expensive loss for a restaurant, just simply the principal of the customer/store relationship. I can live without this just fine, however Cameron was a young manager that has a lot to learn about being a business manager representing a local restaurant in a small town. Hopefully this is a training issue, although I do not care to be their future customer. Cameron did not handle this well as a representative of Schlotzsky's in Lumberton, Texas. I generally write good reviews, but could not in this case. Added. I am all about policy, however a soft drink and chips. Soft drinks are almost free. I have been in public service for 40 years. It's the principal. Most managers would rather not cause discord. If you want to run your business this way, then do so. This is not very good business practices whatever your policy is. Principal, consideration, and kindness is the key to running a successful business, Even more so in these days of uncertainty. Something to consider. Harsh management decisions such as this will eventually catch up with you.

Dirty tables you spend two arms and a leg for nothing then after spending 43 dollars you ask for a small cup of ranch for your pizza and they charge you again my suggestion is go elsewhere EDIT 8/10/24 I asked them to seal the bag and the mgr snatched the bag and said it’s not his job to seal the bag cussed at me then took food stay away from here the MANAGER is rude the young kid working the front counter is rude. Went here today to get my wife a salad. That's all we ordered was 1 turkey avocado cob salad. It was customized because my wife does have certain things she can't eat. But we did it over the app and went through the drive thru. They gave us a Cesar salad with no bread sticks. My wife went back inside and tried to tell them it was made wrong. They took the whole bag back but just threw some turkey on there and gave her back the exact same salad (just now with some turkey thrown on top) and still no bread sticks and they had attitude to top it off. My wife and I both work food service and we know how it can be but we were the only people in line and it was literally a single item order...for almost $11. Disappointing.

The manager (Kisten) told me after ordering a calzon that the prices have changed as of just now (since I just ordered) that the prices have went up several dollars. I asked if she could honor the prices posted on the menus, she rudely told me no and blamed it on the owners "dumb decisions". That's false advertisement also. Due to her attitude I will go to chick-fil-a for now on. That incompetence in a so called leader position had lost and will continue to lose this company business. I was a regular and will never come back. You need to hire more professional "managers ".

While I was trying to place my order, he interrupted me several times then proceeded to order something for me that I didn’t want. Not only did he get my order wrong, but he also mocked and made rude comments about my friends and I. Later I was shocked to learn that Jay was the manager. This experience has completely ruined any chance of me ever returning to this location.

I’m writing this review for the purpose of the owners to view as I was told to do so by an employee of this establishment, which I won’t name so they are not retaliated against. As I was told it’s the best way to reach the owners and pass the word along about the management of their business. I placed a phone order with a young man and asked if I needed to come in or go through the drive through. He advised me to go through the drive through window and pick it up. I arrived about 10 minutes after and went straight through the drive through to be met by the “manager” Matthew Johnson and face of this “hospitality, family friendly” restaurant, with a very ill-mannered, nasty tone and a “head bob” “Can I help you!?” I replied “yes, I have a call in order, they told me to come through the drive through “ he replied back with “well you didn’t stop at the order screen so I didn’t know you were here” I told him “ I had only been here for about 30 seconds, no big deal” he snapped back “well your food isn’t ready so pull ahead!” And slammed the window behind him. I waited for him to return and asked if there was a problem?? I was doing what I was told and why was he being hostile?! He told me “PULL AHEAD , I’m going to deal with another customer, (talking over me) then proceeded to tell me to come inside and we would “deal with this” all while bobbing his head and with a disrespectful, ghetto tone!! I immediately pulled around and went inside and he HID in the back from me acting like he was so frazzled working the window at a fast food place which no one was even in the restaurant , they had 2 tables. I waited for about 10 minutes or more and he stopped working the window and “took a phone call in the back to talk to someone about their app” lol I spoke to the employee in the front and I got the subtle hint that he is always this way and that’s what they have to deal with because he is friends with the “owners “ son so his foul behavior is allowed! They told me I needed to talk to the GM Kristen or her sister because they would LOVE to know about this, as I’m assuming they have issues with him like this all the time. I also spoke with Tabitha at the Beaumont location and let her know and she advised me to call Tuesday and talk to Kristen as well. I have been coming to the Beaumont location for 13+ years and now frequent the Lumberton location, and I have never and this goes for for ANY restaurant or establishment in general seen anyone in a management position act this way. Customers are the life of this business, without us coming and spending our money here he would not have a job and this business would not be here. He is in that position strictly from a buddy system, and NOT because he knows how to fill that role and everything that it entails! I’m sure his attitude traces back to his home life and maybe the fact that he is 45+ years old and that is as far as he’s made it in life, I don’t know whether to be annoyed with him or feel sorry for him. I have spoken with the owners in passing at each location when they are there, and they are very decent people and I know would not have someone like this representing them if they knew how he was treating their guest. I intend to call back and follow up with Kristen and hopefully the owners.

EDITED MY REVIEW TO ONE STAR: Just left this location and on my son's ham and cheese sandwich they just didn't put the ham?????? Went around 8:20-8:30 but still not an excuse to literally only put a slice of cheese on a sandwich and send it out. After this incident and what I've said below we will not be returning to this location again. At least not for awhile. It's a hit or miss with the food. Sometimes the food is okay, but then other times it's very low quality. For example, the California flatbread I have ordered countless times was missing the avocado and basically only had the chicken and sauce a few months ago. My son's order is always botched. (Ham and cheese sandwich) The pepperoni pizza is my main choice when coming here and you never know if it's going to be good or bad. (Lack of sauce. Almost old tasting) I ordered a chicken Caesar salad at one point and didn't even eat my meal because the salad tasted so off. Frequently out of the soup I want. The customer service at this specific location defers you to just going to the Beaumont location as well as the food quality. Which is a shame because this location used to be pretty decent. Gave 3 stars because it's a good chain restaurant. This particular location just drops the ball a lot of the time.
