WOW! I live in Irving TX. Come to do some shopping in the area. Soon as I get out of my car. The smell of BBQ hit my nose. I look around an see Baker Ribs. I'm not a big BBQ person. Once I finished shopping I said let try it and plus they sell Fried pies took. Bingo! I opened my plate. Presentation was on point. I took a bite and OH MY GOODNESS! Ribs was Super Super Super Tender and Seasoning on point. Bake beans was Great. The regular and hot BBQ sauce was Excellent Flavor. Now the Peach fried pies were the BOMB! Overall was a 5 Star! Keep doing what you are doing. I was Extremely impressed!

This is a nice little hole-in-the-wall style of rub place, with basic bench seating and an array of comedic sayings on signs around the counter. It's sweet, it's comfortable, and it's terrific. It being Monday, I had the rib plate on special, with potato salad and green beans, and a pecan fried pie for dessert. First things first: The ribs utterly eclipsed my childhood favorite of Split Rail. The meat is good and smoky, with an excellent bark (and a tender bite). The meat was literally fall-off-the-bone tender. The sauce is much more smoky than sweet. This caters to my preferences, but I know some people prefer a sweeter sauce. You get an entire bottle all to yourself, though I used it sparingly to enjoy the flavor of the ribs. The potato salad is mayonnaise based. Not my usual (I prefer mustard), but delicious and well-made. No stiff potatoes here! The green beans were absolutely traditional, right down to the bacon they were cooked with. A slice of Texas toast served as a vehicle for more sauce. Okay, I'm not a huge fan of most breads. A large half-sweet tea finished it off and was just right for my level of sweetness. Finally, the fried pie was big, soft, and full of delicious pecan pie filling. Absolutely loved every minute, from the attentive host (and free wifi) to the last sip of tea. Definitely looking forward to a return trip!

Love their bbq! They use a salt and black pepper rub, which gives their meat a great flavor! Their doyr fream potato salad is worth driving out of your way for. I love baked potatoes, but I have to wipe most of the salt and pepper crust of the spuds before I can eat them. I can live with that!

The drive-thru clerk was very helpful and honest with helping me decide,which meal to order between a choice for a kids meal or (2) meat plate. I chose the two meat plate and I was very happy with my choice and side selections. The ribs were spectacular and just the right smoke taste I had been previously searching for, while dining at other barbeque restaurants but unable to find. I will be visiting again very soon.

Baker's Ribs has been a Mesquite tradition for years. This time I had the BBQ sandwich basket. For about $8.50 I got a huge bun piled high with meat and a monster basket of home cut fries. Throw in a free ice cream cone for dessert and you've got a great meal/deal. Will I be back? You bet.

This place is awesome, it's a little expensive but it's a very good and delicious BBQ place. The inside of the restaurant is very clean and the people who work there are nice. My only complaint is that the seating inside is not so comfortable.

I’ve been coming to this location for years and the food and service is amazing. I grew up in mesquite but I live in las Colinas now. I drove all the way here to get bbq. I will forward be a customer of this location.

Went thru the drive thru and the gentleman at the window was great. Food was excellent. People had some reviews saying the meat was dry but I didn't have that issue. The pork and turkey was both moist and delicious. I loved their take on the pasta salad with peppers, very good.

If you want to have an authentic Texan experience, you need to stop by Baker’s Ribs. The staff provides a great customer experience and jointly with the decor, it creates a wonderful atmosphere.

Great bbq and customer service normally go through the drive thru but decided to go inside and have an even better experience definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for an everyday bbq joint

This place is amazing, their sloppy joes are great and the prices are insanely good, our total came out to 16 dollars and we couldn't even finish our meal it was so filling, I particularly loved the scallops and pasta salad which were amazing though I also absolutely adored the sloppy joes, its good meat and the buns are toasted, the best part, they give you the barbecue on the side so you can give yourself as much or little as you'd like

I am not a fan of brisket. However, this place made me change my mind, it was very well cooked, had great flavor, had really great sauces to complement it and the sides were awesome. The service is a great addition to this place, thanks to James for the recommendation and Sonia for those delicious sides. It really is a vibe here, it feels so cozy. Will definitely come back.

Today, I tried Bakers Ribs on Galloway and I will say I am very please. The Cashier/ Customer Service Representative Leah was Top Tier. She greeted my wife and I as we came in. Since it is our first time she let us try the ribs and they sausage before purchase (because I am from Chicago and particle about my ribs and my wife tried the sausage (She from Louisiana IYKYK). I went to their Mesquite Texas location. Yes, it’s old and a bit run down but that kind of adds to the charm. At $15 for a two meat dinner plate, it’s a huge bargain. I got the brisket and smoked sausage with coleslaw and potato salad on the side. Comes with some thick Texas toast as well. Everything was very very good. The sausage was super flavorful and just the right amount of kick. The sauce was excellent as well. The meats were juicy and flavorful, not a lot of fat on the brisket, in fact, I didn’t notice any. But it was still moist and juicy and really good. Maybe not the absolute pinnacle of perfection but very close at a very reasonable price. Other places it could’ve cost twice that, but then it would probably have come with something other than Styrofoam plates and plastic utensils. It was so good I got a pulled pork sandwich and a turkey sandwich for lunch tomorrow. I’m traveling so in a hotel. That sounded so much better than any other fast food type place I would’ve gotten lunch at.

Haven't been here in a while. The sliced brisket was good but a little too dry for me. Fries were good, and everything was fresh. Oh, and the peach pie didn't disappoint.

Went to the drive thru ordered sandwich baskets, I asked for sliced beef on sandwich. They gave me chopped beef instead. Basket came with fries. The fries were either leftover from day before or sat under a heat lamp for hours. They open around 10:30 and I was there about 12:45. Usually good, but worst meal I have ever had at Bakers Rib. I will be a long time before I return here.

They've been around for a long time because the serve constantly decent food. Never had a bad meal here.

Decor inside looked good. The chicken platter was ok. Portions are not large. Seasoning on the fries was really good. Didn't really like the dill potato salad. It lacked something, but idk what.

I always enjoy the ribs that my mother have brought home. This time I decided to get the 2 meat meal; ribs and brisket. It was pretty good. I could have used more seasoning on my brisket. It was a little dry but I may have gotten the wrong end of the brisket. They do give you a choice. I enjoyed the customer service. Great people that give you what you want. And let me not forget about the nice Lemon Fried Pies. That topped it off for me.

I like this place but they need to move their drive thru speaker. It faces the street so you get all that background noise so they really can't hear your order.

First time here. The place is nasty. They need a health department. The floor was filthy, the seats in the booths are terrible(badly peeling). They got pieces of papertowel or newspaper under the tables and chairs to level. Looks bad. I could not eat my mac&cheese because a gnat was on it. I tasted the other side and it tasted nasty with no flavor. I really couldn't concentrate on eating because of how nasty the place was. My fiance was feeling a certain way about me and my son's complaints so I just forced myself to eat some of it. I know he didn't want to waste money. He didn't have anything bad to say about the food or the place. Coming here 5 years ago might have been a better experience. It looked cleaner. I won't eat here again.

The service was average. The food was dry and didn't have any flavor. I did come early morning right when they opened, and maybe that could of been why. The food tastes like it was days old and also looked like it. all of the food except the sausage.

Were not greeted. Place was full of flies, the food was edible, but was overpriced for the taste.

This was my first visit to this place and they did not show up. They forgot all of my typing for my potato. Not to mention the potato looked sus to me. We had ordered extra bbq sause and was charged for it. We didnt even get the complimentary bbq with the sandwich. The brisket was tastie but because of no bbq sause the sandwich was dry as heck. The building also looks like it's falling appart.

The food wasn't all that. It was okay...ish. The ribs weren't the best, they were thin and had little meat on it. The fries, sausage and the toast were the only things I enjoyed. The consistency of the beans was sloppy, and had a weird burnt after taste. It wasn't the worst food I've tried, just wouldn't convince me to go again, especially since it was pretty pricey, I don't think it was worth the amount we paid.

We used the drive-thru, and the employee was extremely helpful and nice. The menu prices at the drive-thru were very confusing. The food, however, was just okay. I ordered a baked potato — the skin was extremely salty, the meat was lukewarm, and overall, it was just okay.

Overall it seems as though the service declined. I was excited for BBQ and decided to get a drive through order. There was an older Hispanic female and younger Hispanic male who took and gave me my order (okra and ribs). I received my ribs but not the okra. I waited and the female employee comes back to the window and asked if I needed anything else and I told her I didn't get my okra. She said "oh". Leaves and comes back to the window and asked if I needed anything else. I replied "no just my okra". A young male employee came to the window a minute later and handed me a container. I took it and drove home (NO pre snacking). Opened everything (attached photos) to see I only got a pinch of okra and paid full price. It seems as though they were trying to avoid giving me my entire order and I'm not sure if they didn't have enough or was rushing. Either way this was one of the more less satisfying experiences here because...well money paid for services and goods. I will say this - their turkey is the BEST (It wasn't included in this order). It's a 50/50 chance I'll recommend - depends on my next experience. It's advised to double check your order before arriving home. Also be mindful the portions may have gotten a bit smaller with the same or increased prices due to inflation so be prepared to spend a little more for less.

The staff looks over worked and unfriendly. I've been here several times and I'm greeted with basic food and poor service. Improve the employee morale and maybe they'll put more enthusiasm into the food that's prepared. The ribs are hit and moss, baked potato needs a face lift (too much salt coated on the outside).

The food is good. Service is good. Portions are very small. Paid $24 for a lb of barbecue meat and 2 sides, was advised this was enough for the family. So I ordered half a pound of ribs and half a pound of sausage, with Mac and cheese and green beans. We received 4 ribs and 2/4 inch of sausage. 🤔😐 And we were feeding 3 people. 😂 The Mac and cheese wasn’t that great, but the ribs, sausage, and green beans were. I also liked the barbecue sauce which was given on the side. The baked potatoes are small and they give you a spoonful of barbecue meat on top, but charge you almost $11 bucks. I wouldn’t return here, I rather go to Winner’s barbecue in Plano, you get more for your money. The bake potatoes are bigger and the the portion size are bigger for the same price

The BBQ was good. The stuffed baked potato was disappointing. The staff was there. Not rude, just not friendly. They did what they had to do. It wasn’t bad service, just not much in the way of a smile. The restaurant really needs to be remodeled and get some new furnishings. It is dumpy. They do have complimentary soft serve ice cream which was great.

This used to be my favorite barbecue restaurant. The baked beans were good. The brisket was dry. The ribs were extremely dry.

We order from this location at least once a week and we have always been very satisfied with everything that we have eaten. Yesterday I ordered two of the Baker’s potato which is a large baked potato filled with your choice of meat, in this case I ordered one for my son with brisket. Needless to say half of a potato on the bottom was rotten. My son has special needs so he didn’t understand why I did not let him eat the entire potato like he normally does. You can clearly see in the picture how the potato was rotten and black. I don’t think I’ll be ordering a baker potato for a long time. All of our other options were delicious with the exception of one side that we paid for and did not receive. I will be going back today to pick up that side to have with lunch today.

THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! I went here December 11 ordered a brisket plate. When I got home, I opened the plate it was a lot of bark and not edible. I took it back to them and asked for a refund. She gave me a ticket showing the transaction had been voided. A couple of days later the money leaves my bank account, I think fine, the money should be returned to my bank in another day. A week later, still no credit. December 26, the funds have yet to be credited to my bank account, I have filed a dispute with my bank. I’m guessing she voided it and printed me a receipt but must have went back into the computer after I left and voided that transaction hoping I wouldn’t notice. I did notice and I’m warning everyone about your deceitful business practices.

First time and my last going here the food was awful no flavor on the meat. The food had to be sitting for a long time. They do not put.any sauce on their ribs you have to add it yourself. The staff was unprofessional between texting and the way they were talking with cussing involved. No one was eating inside the place either. I had better better BBQ in Chicago and this is Texas.

First off I love Bakers ribs! I literally come to the mesquite location ever other day! Today I came through the drive thru, a man answered the intercom and kept acting like he couldn’t hear! I proceeded to the window, told him “that I wanted a kids plate” w/ Ribs, Macaroni& Cheese, French Fries”! Then I asked him to make sure Mac& cheese wasn’t runny because sometimes it do be, I don’t complain! I just don’t order it.. he said it was fine, then said your total is $16.75, I’m like for a kids plate.. he seemed annoyed! He corrected it, I paid! Received food, asked for onions, he said $.25 extra I’m like never mind! I leave check food, Mac & cheese is runny! Called them to explain what went on, A girl kept saying “hello, Hello, hello”, I can’t hear you! And I know she heard me.. You guys lost a faithful customer today all because of poor service! I won’t ever be back….

I use to go here a lot. Tonight I ordered a brisket and sausage plate. It was not good at all. The brisket was mostly a big blob of greasy fat, and the small piece that wasn’t fat had no taste to it.. The green part of the fried okra was hard. The pinto beans were pretty much mush without any flavor. The sausage was good, after I soaked all the grease out of it. Barbecue sauce and bread were good. I’m so disappointed. Y’all can do much better than this. I usually go to Slab’s, and I wish I would have gone there tonight instead.

Drove to Mesquite and Ordered a stuffed BBQ POTATO this Sunday MORNING for lunch. The POTATO was NOT FRESH, it was old, with hard cooked spots, not a fluffy white potato. The Bakers Ribs in downtown Dallas serves a much better consistency of quality fresh food.

Please Please Please Do Not eat from this establishment!! After tearing up the pasta salad and the beans I started to take a bite of my sandwich (sliced brisket) and noticed a large piece of plastic. I called the Establishment and yo my surprise the person who answered the phone had a very nasty attitude and was almost as if oh well type of attitude. I'm head to the Er as I consumed a large amount of plastic from this sandwich and informed them they would be receiving the bill. No apology no are you OK just oh that's what we wrap our meat in to keep.jt fresh. I'm really happy I recorded this phone call so I can have proof. My chilfren consumed this meat and Im afraid for their health. This ia absolutely negligence and is is not ok.
