Amazing food the service was impeccable. I will be coming back again and again. My new favorite Indian cuisine spot.
Wife and I went for our 20th anniversary dinner after a long trip and it was perfection. A beautiful and peaceful atmosphere with authentic amazing food.
This was my second time coming because the food was too good not to come back. Everything has lived up to expectations and I haven't gotten anything I didn't enjoy! The butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, cheese and garlic naan, chicken lollipops, and the Thali lunch have all been reasons to go back. Lifetime customer!
WONDERFUL SERVICE! 100/10 no one was in here and we were able to sit wherever we wanted food came out fast and fresh! Very happy! Had the lunch special with a fountain drink and mango lassi. Great flavor ❤️
Chris is a kind and attentive host. The food tastes authentic. We enjoyed the veg options like Saag Paneer and Aloo Gobi.
The food was delicious!! Highly recommend the tikka masala and samosas. We ordered: Vegetable Samosas Tikka Masala (chicken) Lamb Chettinad Butter naan Food and service both five star. We’ll be back!
This is the after math because it was so good! We were recommended because we love Indian food and this place lived up to our expectations I would highly recommend you coming here.
We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Ashoka, located on 12663 S Dixie Hwy in Pinecrest. From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully presented, beautifully prepared, and packed with authentic Indian flavors. We began with a Mango Lassi, which was creamy, refreshing, and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just right. For appetizers, we ordered the Chicken Samosa—crispy and flavorful, and the standout Garlic Cheese Naan and Truffle Naan, which were delightfully warm, cheesy, and aromatic. Our main courses, Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Korma, were rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The meats were tender and the sauces were incredibly well spiced. You could really taste the layers of flavor that speak to the time and care put into every dish. But the real surprise came at dessert: the Gajar Ka Halwa. Simply put, it blew us away. It was out of this world—warm, comforting, and unlike any version we’ve had before. It tasted like a treasured family recipe passed down through generations, and it was clear the kitchen poured love into every bite. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with an eye-catching mural and artistic elements straight from Jaipur that create an inviting and elegant ambiance. As a delightful bonus, there was a talented henna artist offering complimentary designs. My daughter loved it—and so did we! It added a lovely cultural touch to an already special evening. We highly recommend Ashoka—not just for a meal, but for a genuine gastronomic and cultural experience. We’ll definitely be back!
Visited Ashoka for the first time tonight and really enjoyed every dish. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was perfectly cooked. Our waitress was very well versed on the menu
Service was excellent. Delicious authentic Indian cuisine. Smells delightful when you walk in the door.
We visit often this place when we want authentic and good indian food, the manager is so nice, she knows her customers and I think this place is a local restaurant that drserves to be considered a gem in Pinecrest. You know its good when you spot more indian families visiting. Chicken korma and chicken xacuti are our favorite dishes, they serve the indian tea and homemade naan, just delicious. Sometimes they are short staffed but the manager is so professional, she has been able to handle it, however, I hope they get to hire enough people to keep the quality in food and service.
My 8 y/o daughter loves this place. Tonight we had chicken tikka masala curry, pistachio mushroom curry, garlic naan, dahl, chicken samosas, and mango lassi. The food was great and the service is always friendly and patient.
I had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! We ordered the cashew mushroom and the pistachio mushroom, and both dishes were absolutely delicious definitely my favorites. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. A special shout-out to our waiter, George, who made the experience even better with his great service. Overall, this is an amazing place that I would highly recommend!

Where to begin? Our first time here. We decided to have a date night eating one of our favorite cuisines, Indian food. Amrit was attentive and polite from the moment we got there. She let us know what the house special was and we ended up getting the pistachio curry with lamb which by the way, was to die for, so we agree with all of the other reviews. My husband had mango lassi as recommended by Amrit and it was perfect; not too sweet, great fresh taste. As an appetizer we had the samosa chaat which had so many different flavor profiles—spicy, tangy, sweet, salty (not overly salty though)—and not all at once. Every bite was different, in the best way. We truly enjoyed our cheese garlic naan bread, it’s a must try! We also had the chicken Rogan Josh which was delicious. The basmati rice paired great. We took home the pistachio kunafa cheesecake. It was one of the best meals we’ve had. We will definitely be back! Pictured: samosa chaat
My husband and I dined at Ashoka recently and loved it. It is a cozy restaurant packed full of flavor. Each dish we had was perfect. Our waitress Akshata was wonderful. She recommended the Samosa Chaat as an appetizer and it was amazing. As our entrees we had the Curry Goat and Seekh Kabab. Both were delicious. We have nothing but great things to say about this restaurant. We can’t wait to come back.
The best Indian restaurant in Miami. Good food and service is impeccable. Tandoori chicken cashew curry is the best

Great lunch, went with the suggested chef specials! Enjoyed the cashew curry and amazing pistachio coconut cheesecake.
Nice atmosphere, food is delicious, you can regulate the amount of spice based on what you can handle and the staff was super friendly!
We had an amazing experience! We ordered the pistachio daily special with lamb and the lahori mushroom special. It was exquisite!
Ive been coming here with my mother for most our special occasions over the years. We have consistantly loved the food and the atmosphere and the service has always been lovely they are attentive and friendly and always remember us each time. Over the last few visits in the last few months we have both noticed the food and the decoration and everything increase in quality. The food is incredible and we have seen the amount of people coming into the restaurant increase as the quality increases. Love this restaurant and I hope to be able to keep coming here for years to come. I mean for mothers day they even gave my mom and others roses how sweet is that. Thank you on behalf of me and my mother!
Highly recommend the Gulab Jamun and the Malai Kofta. The Samosas are also some of the best in Miami-Dade.
This place is a gem. The chef special pistachio sauce with chicken is outstanding. The server is very patient and answers all your questions about the food.
We know this place because we visited this place before when this place had a different owner. The restaurant was called Safron. The chef they say has not changed. The food is always amazing here. There is I wide selection of wines to choose from as you can see in one of my pictures towards the back. I always leave satisfied when I eat here. The meat comes with the white rice. If you run out of rice which we always do because one bowl of rice is not enough for us big guys, you can ask for extra white rice if you need it with no extra charge. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. The service from the staff was amazing.
Amazing place to eat. They get the spice just the way you want it. Super yummy food and beautiful service. They treat you so special. Akshata is the sweetest hostess.
I love the food here! Lunch is from 11:30 to 3. They have a seperate menu in the back with the lunch portion. Delicious food that they fix to your spice level. The atmosphere is great. The lighting is soft but you can still see plainly. The people who work there are friendly and professional. I've never had an issue at this place. Definitely recommend!
What a meal!!! Delish! Akshata recommended the chefs special that her husband created…WOW! Fantastic experience. Thank you. Eat there now!
Absolutely loved this restaurant! Original spin on classic Indian cuisine. Excellent pistachio sauces . We will be back!
This place is absolutely amazing. By far the best Indian food we’ve had in Miami
We went for lunch, and we ordered the lamb tikka masala, and the chicken tikka masala (pictured), they came with rice, and the server will bring you more rice as needed. We also had an order of naan bread which was so good! . And for my kid we ordered butter chicken, which I was happy to see as an option on the kids menu. And it was also delicious! It came with it’s own side of rice and naan bread. Service was great, and the food came out super quick. A plus when in a hurry or if you are starving. I cannot wait to go back!
The food here is absolutely incredible. I always order the vegetable samosas, butter chicken, and garlic naan—they’re my go-to favorites. While I usually share the meal, the portions are generous enough for one person to enjoy on their own. Every visit has been consistently great—the flavors never disappoint, and the service is always warm and welcoming.
Great restaurant. Food is amazing and the customer service is excellent. Highly recommended!
I love Indian food and I'm always in the hunt for new/not-too-expensive restaurants to eat it. This place is, by far, the best and most affordable I've found. They have lunch specials running for as low as $12, which includes appetizers, naan, and dessert. Everything is delicious and mind-blowing. The servers are also very attentive and nice. Go and you will have not regrets. 💚
Delicious Indian cuisine expertly prepared and beautifully presented. Exquisitely flavorful and offered in a wide range of spice levels according to your preferences. Our server was particularly refined and attended to us in a gracious and efficient manner. The restaurant is elegantly decorated and the music authentic modern Indian. Great place whether for a romantic dinner for two, family outing, or business lunches. Highly recommend.
Delicious food! I ordered the korma chicken and is amazing! Make sure to order it mild, it was still spicy. Their rice is awesome. The naan bread with cheese needs to be part of the meal. My husband ordered lamb, he ate it all! Food is incredibly tasteful and the service is wonderful!
If you're craving authentic Indian cuisine in Miami, look no further than Ashoka restaurant —a gem tucked away in the heart of the city that promises an unforgettable culinary experience. From the moment you step inside, the restaurant exudes a warm, inviting atmosphere, with its vibrant décor and soothing ambiance that transports you straight to India. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, offering personalized recommendations and ensuring your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. The menu is a true reflection of India’s diverse culinary heritage, featuring a wide range of traditional dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients and the perfect blend of spices. The butter chicken is a standout—rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor, it’s comfort food at its finest. The lamb rogan josh is another must-try, tender and full of depth, with a beautifully balanced mix of spices. For vegetarians, the palak paneer and baingan bharta are wonderfully flavorful options, and the dal tadka is a crowd-pleaser, with its smoky, earthy notes. The naan here is perfection—light, fluffy, and just the right amount of crispness around the edges. Be sure to pair your meal with one of their specialty cocktails or a refreshing mango lassi to round out the experience. What truly sets Curry Leaf apart is the attention to detail. Every dish is made with care, and the flavors are impeccably balanced. Whether you're a first-timer to Indian cuisine or a seasoned fan, you'll find something to love. Overall, Ashoka is a must-visit for anyone in Miami looking for an authentic, high-quality Indian dining experience. The combination of top-tier food, exceptional service, and inviting ambiance makes it a standout in the city’s vibrant food scene.
My big family and I visited this restaurant and it did not disappoint at all. The waiter was so very nice and helped us out with ordering something different for everyone. Every dish was packed with flavor and so very delicious. The portions were huge too! We will definitely be visiting again.
This place is one of my regular spots because the food is always delicious, with both veg and non-veg options to choose from. The ambience is really cool and makes it a nice place to hang out, especially for lunch. They’ve got both lunch and à la carte menus, and the prices are pretty reasonable too.
Absolutely phenomenal experience at Ahsoka Indian Restaurant! The Marsala fries were a unique and delicious start, crispy with a perfect blend of spices. The vegetable samosa was expertly crafted, bursting with flavor in every bite. The Indian level spice butter chicken was simply divine, delivering the perfect balance of heat and richness. The mango curry was a delightful surprise, combining sweet and savory in a way that was truly unforgettable. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Highly recommend this gem for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine! Five stars!
Delicious food. Great service. Amazing atmosphere. I had the chicken tikka and the naan bread basket. Perfect amount of spice!
The dining experience is amazing, love the appetizer and the main menu courses are amazing they also offer vegetarian menu making it even better for those individuals that don't eat meat. I totally recommend their chicken tandoori and their onion bhaji
First, I would like to say that my 5-star review pertains to the food and not the customer service. Having been here more than several times, I can say that the food is always delicious. Everything comes out quickly and there is a wide variety of items to choose from, including vegetarian and seafood options. I have tried this restaurant a handful of times and it has always been the same quality and quantity. The Chana masala and lamb biryani were delicious! The portion sizing is incredible, one entree can easily feed two people. However, if you choose your own entree, I can assure you will have leftovers for the next day. I will definitely keep trying more items on their menu.
The most amazing food. I love the spice levels. Today we tried a special pistachio chicken and lamb that was fantastic. Lamb samosas are a must. Akshata was amazing awesome.
We had the absolute pleasure of dining at this incredible Indian restaurant called Ashoka, and from start to finish, everything was outstanding. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service truly elevated the entire experience. Our waitress was exceptionally kind and patient—she took the time to walk us through the menu, explain the dishes, and make thoughtful recommendations, which we really appreciated. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. I had the pistachio curry with lamb, and I can honestly say it might be the best dish I’ve ever had—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. My husband ordered the cashew curry with chicken, which was equally delicious. We also shared the cheese garlic naan, which was perfectly baked, cheesy, garlicky, and a must-try if you visit. Every element of the meal, from the service to the flavors, was thoughtfully executed and memorable. If you’re in the area and craving Indian cuisine, do yourself a favor and make a stop here—you won’t regret it. A truly wonderful experience all around!
Our first visit to Ashoka Indian Restaurant was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we walked in, Sammy greeted us with such warmth and made us feel completely at home. Not being familiar with Indian cuisine, we really appreciated how he took the time to learn about our tastes and made spot-on recommendations. Chef Tony personally came out to chat with us, and it honestly felt like we had known him for years. Since I’m not a fan of spicy food, he prepared our dishes with just the right balance of flavors—everything was cooked to perfection. Even my husband, who’s usually hesitant to try new cuisines, said it was a real treat. We left not only full and happy, but excited to come back—next time with friends and my book club for a luncheon. Ashoka is a true gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food, warm hospitality, and a memorable dining experience.
I had a wonderful dining experience here. The customer service was excellent; staff was very friendly and server took very good care of us. The food was so fresh and very flavorful! I highly recommend their chili chicken; it was the most delicious plate we ordered and the meat was very tender. The chicken biryani was also great but a bit too spicy to fully enjoy...too bad we were not able to order it mild. Otherwise, everything else was amazing. I will be coming back to try their other dishes.
Wonderful hidden gem. I have been trying many new foods lately, so I decided to give some Indian cuisine a shot. The mood was wonderful, the staff was very nice and attentive to us, and the food was excellent. I had Shrimp Biryani with Basmati Rice paired with Taj Mahal beer, and tried some Tandoori Chicken and Tikka Masala. Went in not expecting to like enjoy Indian food, came out absolutely loving it. A great spot at a good price point. Would definitely return for more fine dining and great atmosphere. Don't pass this dining experience up!
Went to dinner with my entire family- total of 4 adults and 3 children. Akshita was fantastic! Food was excellent! We come here often will come here again! Highly recommend
I had always wanted to try real authentic Indian food and finally one night about a month ago, my boyfriend took me to this amazing place. The food was incredibly delicious and inspired my taste buds. The service felt very welcoming and hospitable. Towards the end of our meal, we were surprised by the kindness of our waiter when he gifted us with a complementary desert, Gulab Jamun that gave me that one feeling I’ve only seen in ratatouille when the inspector gets taken to his happy place. 10/10 would recommend and definitely be going again and again!
My husband and I dined at Ashoka recently and loved it. It is a cozy restaurant packed full of flavor. Each dish we had was perfect. Our waitress Akshata was wonderful. Absolutely fantastic experience! Everything we ordered was delicious. Full of flavor, beautifully seasoned, and clearly made with care. Each dish was fresh, authentic, and perfectly balanced. The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!
The food here is delicious. The place is cozy with soft Indian music. But what makes this place really cozy and warm is actually Akshata. She has such a warm personality and sincere smile, which improves the vibe of this place significaltly. People like her make you come back and always feel like home. Definitely coming back. Thank you
Excellent hidden gem Indian restaurant. The quality and food presentation are excellent. We were a family of five for Saturday night dinner, the restaurant was busy but we were seated with five minutes. All of us loved the ace and the food. We also had the kids with us a 13 year old and a 11 year old and they both loved the food. We are definitely coming back. Thank you for the great food and great service.
In my opinion, this is the best restaurant I have ever visited in Florida. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the food is delicious and genuinely authentic. What's impressive is that the prices are very reasonable considering the high quality of the food. I will definitely be returning here next time I'm in Florida.
My five star review reflects mostly on the food. It is a small restaurant and some of the seating you are right up next to others if it is crowded. The atmosphere is simple and they gave me a menu with food stains on it. I felt they should have removed that menu and not give it to guest. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was very good, flavorful and you can order it to whatever heat you prefer. The portions look small but very filling. When we first walked in there was a strong smell of incense that they were burning. If you have issues with scents you will not be comfortable with that. We were here for lunch and I thought it was rather expensive. The parking lot was packed at lunch time but they have additional roof parking available. Overall we enjoyed our lunch and would likely return.
It used to be Safron and now under new owner. At first, I was hesitant, well dont Be. The place is awesome. They have a unique dish called Pistachio/Mushroom sauace dish, absolutely a MUST have. Better than any curry out there!! Strongly recommned. Akshata was an excelent attendant and was very informative
I have been in this place so many times. The food is so good ! We love the tandoori wings, we haven’t found any other like this ones in Miami. All the other dishes are really good too and the spicy level it’s . kids friendly, it’s real mild level :) The owner has been always very attentive and hands on with the customer service! We really recommend this place
I have to give major credit to Ashoka for helping fix MY mistake in ordering 2 Chicken Tika instead of Chicken Tikka Masala. I called into the store and they told me to simply order something of a certain value, and they would send the 2 sauces. Not only did they do that, but they also threw in naan and some drinks. They must have known my wife was upset with me. We love Indian food, and the taste and quality of Ashoka Pinecrest is the best in town. They cook the chicken perfectly and the Masala sauce is perfect. Ashoka Pinecrest now has the most loyal customers, and I'll be making sure all my family and friends go here! Don't even think twice about another Indian restaurant.
This Indian restaurant is truly a gem! The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors and perfectly spiced. Every dish tasted fresh and made with care. What really stood out was the amazing service Akshata gave us. She was warm, attentive, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and hospitality are equally outstanding. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!
I have always loved Indian food and Saffron! Saffron has a new name, and owner. I thought I would it a shot. The food was quite impressive, as was the service. The new owner, Ahmundi, made me a special dish incorporating mushrooms and spinach! It was delicious! I went back the next day!
Delicious Food! Authentic Indian flavors and spices. The samosas were delicious, tandoori chicken wings very flavorful and the pistachio lamb special was superb. Our server was sweet and knowledgeable. We have been here before, but we will be coming here more often for sure.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ashoka on Diwali, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything was impeccable. The service at Ashoka is second to none. The staff went above and beyond to make our evening special, providing attentive and courteous service without ever being intrusive. The highlight was our wonderful waitress, who not only ensured our table was perfectly taken care of but also surprised us with festive goodie bags, adding a personal and celebratory touch to the night. The food was outstanding. We ordered a spread of butter chicken, paneer, lamb, and tandoori chicken, and every dish was a masterpiece. The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced, with each bite delivering a delightful taste of India. The presentation was beautiful, and the aroma alone could have won us over. Ashoka earns a perfect 10/10 in my book. If you’re looking for an Indian restaurant with incredible food, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes any occasion feel extra special, Ashoka is absolutely the place to go.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this Indian restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the warm hospitality and inviting atmosphere set the tone for the evening. The décor strikes a perfect balance between modern elegance and traditional Indian charm, making it a comfortable spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. The food was nothing short of outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavors. To top it all off, the portions were generous and reasonably priced for the quality served. This restaurant delivers an authentic Indian dining experience that keeps you coming back for more. Highly recommended for anyone craving flavorful, comforting, and expertly prepared Indian cuisine!
Malai kofta is an old reliable - always good, rarely special - but the one we had here was special! Lots of cardamom, which isn’t something I’m used to in malai kofta but it was delicious. The mango lassi is solid - tastes very fresh. Enjoyed the appetizer platter; it has a different selection than I’m used to and even the classic standard - the samosa - was remarkably good; I’d say it’s probably the second best I’ve had in Miami, after, of course, Asia Grocery’s. The jamun was absolutely superb. That said, everything’s priced pretty high for the quantity of food given. Overall - very good, especially for Miami, but a little pricey, so I’d highly recommend it for dates or other special occasions but maybe not for daily dining. (Oh, also - adding this for algorithmic purposes, though it should pretty much be assumed for good Indian - excellent place for vegetarians. Extensive vegetarian menu, lots of high-quality options.)
This was our first time here and we will be back for sure!!! The food was amazing and we were able to try Indian dishes that we haven’t seen on a menu before. We had the shrimp mouille as appetizer, pistachio chicken/lamb special, white rice of course, and truffle cheese naan. I don’t like spicy but my husband does and they accommodate for that (even if you’re sharing!). AJ made sure we ordered the tastiest dishes and she was so sweet. So happy we finally came here!
Stopped by a bit before closing, server was really nice and helpful. I wasn’t too familiar with the menu and he provided recommendations. Food was great, and we were able to get some Jamun before leaving which was very delicious. Sweet, but not overwhelmingly so.
Ashoka is absolutely amazing! The food was bursting with flavor — rich, fresh, and perfectly spiced. We tried the chicken tikka masala and chicken korma, and both were incredible. You can taste how much care goes into every dish. The portions were generous, and the staff were super kind and welcoming. It’s one of those spots you instantly want to come back to. If you love authentic Indian food, Ashoka is a must-try!

We have only visited once for dinner but what we consumed was excellent. The naan, the lamb chops, samosas, and two other dishes along with the mango drink were well above par. At one point another customer had some sizzling meat dish which caused this small restaurant to smell of the food a bit too much - but then that has happened to us at Chili's in a far larger environment. Overall an enjoyable & tasty experience!
Went out to dinner with my gal pal to one of her favorite spots for Indian food. It had been a while since I was last here. The food was wonderful. Everything tasted flavorful, fresh, and left my palate clean. It was the right blend of spices, heat, and salt. The mango ice cream was great. Just the right amount. I saw people getting take out so this is definitely on my list of places to come back to.
Ambience great, food presentation great, food taste was ok, price may be ok for the area but can be cheaper , appetizer was good but menu item was not available. Soup - please read the recipe for mulligatawny soup online and try to make correctly or close to it it is not just lentil or dhal soup and it's not fair. Item ordered was not served but we just managed with what was given. Goat biryani was not fresh . Veg gravy was okay and don't add food coloring. Gratuity of 18% by default on bill for all in a restaurant was new to me .
I usually don't give negative reviews, but the food was mediocre at the best. Lack of true Indian authenticity; bland flavoring.
We never received our Naan bread, service was poor even though we were the only table. There was only one server who was taking care of our table and a multitude of pick up orders. And then the bug on my seat was too much! We will look for another Indian restaurant next time.
I went here for lunch with friends. There were 6-7 of us. I hadn’t been in years. The last time I came was for dinner with my husband and he felt it was over priced. Fast forward 4-5 years; I believe there’s a new owner. It was a bit busy when we arrived at 1pm. There seemed to be only one server/person waiting on tables, delivering the food, and cleaning tables. They seemed severely understaffed for a holiday (MLK Day). We each ordered off the lunch menu. It’s not a bad deal- $17 for Tandoori chicken with basmati rice, a samosa, a very small cup of lintel soup, and naan. That was my order. Everyone else ordered something different. One of my friends ordered a glass of wine before we ordered our food. Again, when we ordered our food, she reminded the waiter about the wine. Again, when he delivered the food, she reminded him about the wine. He finally brought the wine after we had been there about 40 minutes! He was obviously overwhelmed. He should have had help. My tandoori chicken was a bit dry. The soup was a bit cold. My friends who ordered their meals “medium” spice heat were unable to eat their food because it was too spicy (this is how they usually order it). So, the meal itself was a disappointment. This is a monthly get together for us, so we stayed and chatted for a while after we were done eating. However, the waiter never came to clear our dirty plates from the table. Even as we asked for the checks, the dirty dishes were there, and we had no room to sign our bills on the table. That is one of my friend’s pet peeves and she told the waiter that he should’ve have cleared the dishes a long time ago. There’s an 8% tax, and 18% gratuity added to parties over 5 people. The total on my bill was $23+. I only drank water. It’s still not a bad deal, but it wasn’t that great of food, and the service was not up to par- so I’ll probably never go back. Oh, and my friends who ordered who ordered the wine was charged for 2 wines and had to ask to have one removed. I’m sure she’ll never be back either.
Straight to the point...cozy and nice ambience and loyal clientele, but service on the January Saturday night I went was abysmal. Not just "one of those nights" bad, but so bad that people sat down and didn't even get attended to for at least 20 minutes. Eventually, at least 3 or 4 tables got up and left before even putting in their dinner order. In my particular case, I was served my food, and my wife got hers 30 minutes later. At least we were actually served our food (crazy to think that's something to point out in a restaurant review)! They had 2 servers when I arrived, but one abruptly left about 30 minutes later. My assumption is that the kitchen was running severely behind, and our lone server was either too embarrassed to apologize for the delays, or simply didn't care. It was hard to tell. The food was pretty good. Not the best Indian food I've had, but worthy of repeat visits if it wasn't for the service. This is too bad because from talking to the people at the tables next to us, their food is good enough that people are willing to put up with the slow service that seems to be the norm here. But the service on this night took it to another level of bad. If they want to survive long term, the owners need to get their act together and improve the operations.
If I only can give them negative in star. The worst place ever. No one took us to table to be seated. Just one person running around front of the kitchen. Be aware ! Treated as you went to eat free. Worst experience ever. Food quality is not great either. Found grill chicken pieces inside butter chicken.
We ordered the entire vegetarian food and we found one chicken piece inside it in one of the item. The person who was incharge was very rude, even they didn’t apologize and lady started blaming that we are making "big deal about it". You are serving chicken to a vegeterian person and you are not even offering aplogies and started blaming us for just complaining it, what kind of customer service you have. I would never visit this place, extremely rude behavior.
Extremely frustrating experience. We drove 45 minutes to Ashoka Indian Restaurant based on the listed closing time of 10:30 PM, only to be turned away at 8:41 PM because they were “closed.” Completely unacceptable and misleading. Please fix your business hours on Maps.
Not a good place for indian style food , never saw a chilli chicken cooked with full size coated chicken piece. Chicken biryani, never had this kind of Biryani in usa , looks like cooked chicken mixed in half cooked masala rice. Requested for extra spicy but i received Two items are kind of sweet flavor 😂😔. Photos are attached .
