Went in with our family of 3 adults and 6 children. We definitely had our hands full but from the very moment we walked through the door the staff was incredibly patient and friendly. They joked around with all the kids and every item was perfect. Best experience we’ve had in a while in the Midland area. The wait wasn’t too long either. Especially thanks to our waiter, Captain. He was so friendly and attentive. He made sure the whole experience was flawless. Thank you!

Went for our 38th Wedding Anniversary for a "Carb splurge" off husband's KETO and was not disappointed. The Blackberry Martini was a great recommendation from our server. They had set up a table for our 13 American servicemen/service women killed in Afghanistan.

The music was a mixture of the newest hits and some pop country, definitely what id think would be playing when you walk in. The food was amazing, and cooked perfectly how we asked. The manager was so sweet as well. Jose was our server, and he did AMAZING! He made sure everything was corrected, repeated what we asked for to make sure he was right, and even double checked some things to make sure he was correct before answering us. 10/10, I would def recommend him. Made sure to leave him a nice tip 🥰

Outback Steak house is a cozy restaurant in the heart of Town. I went there for a dinner with my family. We were warmly welcomed by the staff at the reception. The waiters were attentive and helpful in ordering our meals as it is our first time there. My kids and I enjoyed the coconut shrimp entree. The meals are quite affordable and the portions are standard.overall, It was a beautiful experience.

I absolutely loved the experience I had with the service my family and I received. Our server, Lexi, was extremely friendly and was super thorough when taking our orders and was quick to bring everything out to us. She was hands down one of the best servers I’ve had that took care of us.

Haven’t had a better experience at a steakhouse in Midland in quite some time! Even got a chance to talk to the manager Ronnie(I have a soft spot for Ronnie’s cause my Papa, Uncle, cousin and his little boy are all Ronnie’s🥰) but aside from that, he was very professional and customer service oriented. We haven’t been here in a while but will definitely be back!!!!

Stopped in for dinner tonight and my server Jayden was so incredibly awesome. Very attentive and so professional. Took pride in every aspect of his job. I requested the manager and spoke to Torrance ( probably spelled that wrong) but was equally impressed with how he ran the restaurant and his praise for his wait staff. Will definitely be back again

One of my favorite places to eat. I had left it alone for a while because it got kind of crappy, went back a few weeks ago and was very satisfied with everything. Food was good, staff was kind and friendly, our waitress kept the drinks full and was very quick. Seems like they also did some remodeling. Very nice.

Virginia was a delight to have as our server. She was so attentive. Our food was fresh and steaming upon delivery. We enjoyed the French Onion Sirloin special they offered for the month. So good! Admittedly, we usually order To-Go but you run the risk of not having the best food when you arrive home. Jordan, the manager, made it right and upon coming into the restaurant to eat, we were blown away with the service. Come inside everyone! Enjoy the environment, the wonderful staff, and food. We will definitely be coming inside from now on. It was FANTASTIC.

Out Back has been home for us for many years and Adreana treated us like some of her favorite family! Our drinks were so tasty! We had the blueberry lavender lemonade, the green apple whiskey and some beer. The French onion soup is always a hit. The ranch is our favorite and our steak was perfect! We had an awesome dinner!

My first time in an Outback Steakhouse and it was awesome from being seated to check out. Hostesses were sweet and inviting. Server was attentive even though she also had bar. Lighting wasn't too dark or too bright. Great atmosphere to watch Monday Night Football. The food was delicious. Bread, Mac and cheese bites, grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, salad and the chocolate brownie dessert. I'd visit more often now.

My wife, my son and I went to Outback this past Saturday. It was Memorial Day weekend so I didn’t know what to expect, but we had a great experience! There weren’t many people there due to the holiday so we got seated right away. Our server was James and he was top notch! We ordered our drinks and appetizers and had our adult beverages brought to us within minutes of ordering. We all had steaks and they came out quickly and they tasted great! But what really impressed us was how well our server James treated us. He was very attentive, polite, and super quick to get us anything that we lacked. But what we noticed is that he treated every table that he attended to in the same way. He was awesome and we can’t express enough how much we appreciated his attitude and professionalism. From the bar tender, Tristan, to the manager everyone went out of their way yo make our dining experience top notch. With many choices in Midland, this Outback is the favorite steakhouse!

Although our first experience was horrible(slow service, dirty silverware, dirty cups, dirty cups even after asking for clean ones) we decided to try it again. 7/17/24 Took my son and wife to dinner and we were seated promptly. There were a little slow for not seeming that busy but after 20 minutes or so the server started picking up her pace. My sons AussiePalmer was decent the first time, "The flavors weren't properly blended together." he said but the second one they brought was better "Tasted Fresh". Our forks had smudges but we still used them. The food was the best part. I had ordered the blooming chicken. The chicken came out and was still juicy with crunchy skin. Wife ordered Prime Rib medium rare. The Prime Ribe was sublime, cooked perfect. Our son ordered the Queensland pasta with shrimp and said it was delicious as well. Overall our second encounter with outback was definitely better

The food was amazing. Our server talked a bit too much for our tastes, but he was a good server. The exception to our visit was being seated within a foot of another table in an otherwise empty restaurant. They hostess sat our server so many times in a row that the manager had to assist him. Need better rotation and try to space parties out in each section unless the place is packed.

2/11/2023: I ordered a ribeye steak medium with a baked potato & mashed potatoes as the sides. I ordered the bloomin onion & steakhouse Mac & cheese bites for the appetizers. The ribeye steak was very thin and almost flavorless honestly, I was very disappointed in the quality of the steak. The bloomin onion & steakhouse Mac & cheese bites were absolutely delicious & the service was great. The bread they bring out as a appetizer was great as well.

The new glazed pork chops are excellent only issue wife ordered fire cooked chicken and got strips. They made it right a lil to peppery for her taste. Waiter was on point with a very good attitude we will come back.

Food was okay… the wait was long but tolerable, the hostess was sweet and attentive to us, and our server Sophia was great. The mac and cheese was too salty for me but everything else was fine.

Portions were generous, and the menu had plenty of options for everyone at the table. Service was friendly and attentive, even during a busy time, though things moved a little slower than expected at points. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable—great for a relaxed dinner without any fuss. Not quite a perfect visit, but definitely a dependable spot when you’re craving a good steak and classic Outback favorites. I’d come back again.

We ordered from Doordash today to avoid the evening crowd, and we should have just gone up there. We were shorted a loaded sweet potato. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, but you're not even having to deal with the public - just put the food in the bag. The bag arrived sealed, so I know it wasn't the driver this time around. The meal itself ( Alice Springs Chicken ) was just OK. I'm sure it would have been better before transport in a plastic coffin, so maybe we'll give it another chance. Just seems to be the way of every restaurant worker these days - half ass the job until something better comes along. Eat at home. You're better.

My server was excellent but my salad was ok. The potato was not cooked all the way with way too much salt on the outside and they overcooked my steak and it had way to much seasoning on it. It was so salty and they burnt the seasoning

Food needs attention like really attention steak is hard to cut with knife and to chew my god is like chewing gum and the flavor sucks. Only good thing was sweet tea and cheese cake.

First time here in years! My father and I were under the impression that this place was still a descent spot for a good steak. The hostess was welcoming and friendly however, our waitress seemed to be having a bad day. She really was not open to any questions or recommendations, we felt rushed and ready to be sent on our way out. The mozzarella sticks were descent but the steak and shrimp was horrible and for the price we paid, definitely not worth it. Needless to say, we will be thinking twice before coming back to this location. What a shame!

Well it's been over 15 years since we have been to Outback. This time we tried pickup order. Whatever kid made the plates did okay. The side were bares and my hubby and I laughed at the portion of cheese and bacon that were invisible for loaded baked potato. We can do better than this for $50

My wife ordered Pineapple and Pork Medallions with a baked sweet potato and steamed vegetables.. When our food made it to the table it was truly NOT up to par with Outback standards! My Ribs were burnt and covered over by the sauce and my potato was raw in the center. My wife's meal didn't come out much better either. The Pork was extremely overcooked and over seasoned and the vegetables were still 100% raw, but the baked sweet potato was fantastic!. Now, here's that Catch 22 I was talking about. Just because we disliked the dinner doesn't mean we didn't like the service or the staff and the atmosphere. Our order came out like that because of an error in the kitchen and the server and the manager did the absolute best in rectifying the problem. My wife had her meal done all over again but was still not satisfied and me, I'm usually very much over it and let's move on!! Bad night for whoever was in the back, maybe?! This did not diminish the experience and interaction with the people who work in the front though!... I am not saying don't eat here, I'm just saying if you have a valid issue with your meal then be polite and mention it, but don't make a giant stink over something that is completely out of the control of your servers hands. It was not horrible. It wa just way below expectations for Outback.

Found roaches in various places. Lobster was undercooked, steaks were over cooked (med came out well done, etc). Condiments that were ordered with the meal, didn't show up until after the meal was finished, etc. Staff really could use a lot more training, especially the cooks. And definitely needs an exterminator and/or the health department to show up.

Multiple reviews from multiple visits review #1..February My family and I love here most times had a couple ups and downs like most restaurants I usually judge by consistently..second visit 1 year later service was great crab cakes awesome drinks A+ but on the food it is big NO gave them 3 try’s to preform a medium rare T-bone they couldn’t do and they tried to talk me out of eating a steak or cooking it different so stick to something simple or go somewhere that can cook I will update again when the cooks change but this was a horrible experience sitting here for 2 hours no food only app’s at my expense we didn’t pay for the steaks but we also didn’t eat

Waiter was phenomenal. We had a few issues and he was super understanding. We ordered medium steaks and they came out well done. We brought it to his attention but decided to go ahead and eat it as we were hungry and didn't want to wait for a new one. As my wife cut into her baked potato and started eating it, it had a rotten taste. So we opened it further and there was a big rotten spot on it. The waiter brought the manager over who said "we don't serve rotten potatoes". Like how else did it get there? I didn't bring my own in. Manager was down right rude.

FIRST TIME TRYING OUTBACK! I joined the waitlist ahead of time before I got there, when we arrived I let the host know and it was another 10-15 minutes which was no big deal! It ended up being 30 or so minutes before getting seated. When we did get seated we waited about 10 minutes for someone to come get drink orders, enough time for my whole party to decide what they wanted to eat. When we received our food everyone in my party was unhappy. Steaks were super small, steaks had very mild to no flavor, French fries were cold, Mac n cheese was cold, and I got a burger and for it being a steakhouse I thought they would have good meat for a burger, however my burger patty was super thin and just not good at all to where I didn’t even have an appetite for it. For 4 of us to eat it was $116! I honestly didn’t think it was worth it. I will definitely be going to Texas Roadhouse or the longhorn steakhouse. I don’t like writing bad reviews and I know it’s not the servers fault because I was once one and so I didn’t complain but I won’t be here for future.

It’s outback. You know what you want before you walk in, and you expect a certain level of quality. Though that’s not Midland’s Outback. The bread is Outback’s, the salad is outback’s, though the rest is not. I’ve attached pictures, so you can see. For the ribeye I ordered it medium rare, came out medium. My wife ordered lobster and a medium steak. Came out medium well, with the outside being well done. Drinks were great, when they came around. The restaurant was less then a 1/4th full, though my mixed drink was empty for twenty minutes. Three workers at the front, which we sat next too, chatting away. This place can turn it around, that would be easy. Though it needs to come from the top down. Down the road, we plan to try again. I hope it’s better. I recommend Texas Road House or Salt Grass, if you’re in the mood for a solid steak dinner and night out.

Went for a prime rib lunch at 11am and was told by the waitress they were served after 4pm so ordered a ribeye steak the toughest ribeye I have experienced

To start off my gf and I walked in and were told it was going to be a 20-30 min wait. Ok so we waited in our car for 10min and went back to wait inside for an additional 25+ minutes before I asked the hostess for the third time in which we were finally seated. This could have been avoided by offering us a waitlist spot. But once we’ve been seated our waiter and waitress were great. Steak was undercooked and chicken and bloomin onion overcooked but not a big deal. But what got me was getting my second beer without a lime, I asked the server for a lime in which she said she’ll be right back and never brought a lime. But yet she walked past us multiple times watching my beer go warm. From now on we’ll stick to saltgrass, those folks are always great and professionals. I usually never ever write reviews but this experience was unfortunate. Maybe the manager should walk around and check on their customers?

I’m not going to complain about a steak being medium Or possibly done if it still has some pink in it. But well done after ordering medium rare is not acceptable. Also the asparagus was not cooked all the way either. As I mentioned our server was very friendly but busy and wasn’t able to address our issue. If it wasn’t for the fact I order two of the more expensive steaks I wouldn’t be writing this review. I hope that Outback in Midland can do a better job and double check food before it goes to the customer.

Sat down at 7:58 PM, ordered appetizers, food and drinks for my family. By 8:12 we were done with the appetizer, salads, and drinks awaiting main meal. Waitress kept coming over checking on us. At 9PM she came over and asked if we ever got our food. To at which point I said no we haven’t. She said oh well see here’s the thing, someone took y’all’s order to the wrong table and asked if we would wait longer or like our food to go. There was maybe 20 people in the building, no one took our food to any other table. It was simply forgotten. In fairness the manager comped everything else.

Looking at the pictures, you can tell you won't get your money's worth at this Midland restaurant! Inedible! They couldn't even melt the cheese on my soup. Half the pasta is raw, and the other burned and crunchy. Shame. You will be disappointed spending money here.

Unfortunately, the food was very salty and dry. It was my friend’s birthday, and we were all waiting on my order so we could eat together. When my dish finally arrived, I mentioned that it wasn’t what I had ordered. My friends had to wait while the kitchen started preparing the correct dish, but it took so long that I eventually asked the waitress to cancel it. By the time another staff member brought my order, my friends were already halfway through their salads. I told her I had cancelled, and she seemed surprised—clearly, there was no communication between the waitress and the kitchen. To make matters worse, all I had ordered was a cup of chili, not a steak or something complicated. Instead, they brought me onion soup. This was my second visit, and the first time my steak was raw and the vegetables were burnt. After this experience, I won’t be returning. Very disappointing.

our server was very nice greeters not so . food is nothing like you see in the menu . steaks were overcooked drinks take long time to come and when we asked whats with the long wait they just shrugged and one of them a heavy set woman just smiled and said to me ...have a good one without even looking at me. no more outback for me ...ever TEXAS ROAD HOUSE NEVER LET YOU DOWN .

The service sucked. I approached 3 people to take my order and they refused. I asked the hostess to take the order and she got a server he walked by and said thats "Veronica" sooo... you didnt give 2 hoots about me attending your establishment. Was there for 40 min before the appetizer. good luck

We go to Outback almost every weekend, and it’s usually a great experience with good food and friendly service. Last weekend the fryer was broken, but they got it fixed and we returned again last night (Sunday around 7–8 pm) for dinner. Our waitress, Sophia, was professional the entire time. We ordered two steaks: one medium rare and one medium well. Unfortunately, when the food came out, they were cooked backwards. The medium rare was medium well, and the medium well was medium rare. We politely asked Sophia if they could be remade, and she apologized and handled it without any issue. Sophia later brought us a receipt and mentioned that the manager had overridden a discount for us. After reviewing the receipt there was no discount applied. It showed our stakes added TWICE and deducted once each. When the manager finally brought our steaks back we asked her why the steaks were added twice and what the discount was? She seemed very frustrated. She rudely said the steaks were added twice because we had to ring them up again so we can recook them. We asked why did she need to ring them up again if they’re the ones who made the mistake. She said well you’re not paying for it because I took it off. We said yes after you added them twice. Then we asked her how was this a discount? She said I didn’t realize I was supposed to give you one. And we informed her that Sophia said it was on the receipt. Sophia returned shortly after with an updated receipt where one steak was removed. While the bill was corrected, the interaction with management was uncomfortable and unnecessary, especially for long-time customers who come here every week. Outback has always been well-run in the past, and this is the first time we’ve experienced something like this. The restaurant felt smoother under the previous manager, and it’s disappointing to see some of the best servers—like Captain and Alicia—no longer there. We truly hope this was just a rough night and that management improves moving forward, because this location has always been one of our favorites. The manager on duty and that is new at this location is Ashley.

The service felt a bit unorganized, we had several different people bringing items to the table and then disappearing. The atmosphere is more of a bar scene, not very family oriented, with a lot of people chatting at the bar. Unfortunately, the onion soup arrived cold and the presentation wasn’t very appealing also flavor was disappointing. The steak was also disappointing, one of the least enjoyable I’ve had in Texas. I really don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I want to be honest so others know what to expect. If you’re looking for a great steakhouse experience, this might not be the right place.

Arrived to restaurant at 9pm Restaurant was literally EMPTY when we arrived and still had to wait about 45 minutes for our food. Ordered the chimichurri filet and when it was served it didn’t have any chimichurri sauce. Server said it had already been thrown out since they were closing. Server said she attempted to make but was “too hard to make”. Very disappointed was definitely not worth it. Update: Husband and I both got sick with stomach aches and diarrhea. I’ve seen other post about a family ordering the blooming onion and all also got sick…. Definitely avoiding this place!

My husband myself and our 3 boys ate here yesterday service was great, atmosphere was calm and quiet, but out of the 5 of us my husband myself and our 7 yr old ended sick (throwing up, diarrhea, stomach pains) within hours of eating here the only thing us 3 ate that the other 2 didn’t was the blooming onion, I’m thinking the flour mixture they used was contaminated in some way or used to many times without being changed. Had we not gotten sick this would’ve been a 5stars, and we probably would’ve came back. Now I have a sense of idk what’s going on here that we got sick so quickly

Went with 2 friends and no one was at the front to greet or seat for at least 5 minutes. Only Two tables were seated. Waiter was fast with menus and drink requests. It was extremely cold with fan on high. My friends were served 15 minutes before me so they were close to finished by then. Friend had salad. No dressing, flagged down waitress for it.They asked for more bread 3 times as waitress ran by. My shrimp and was served underdone. Waitress never checked on us. I went to back and got a box to put my underdone shrimp b in to cook at home. All lunch diners were jammed in one area (for wait staff convince apparently). No explanations were given...but then how could there be when waitress never came to check. I dine out 3 times a week on average and this was the worst experience I've had. Ever. Anywhere. In the last 25 years this is the only time I didn't leave a tip and rarely tip no kess than 20pct.

Got served water in dirty cup twice then I had to ask for Togo cup from hostess our waiter{ SEAN S.} was not very attentive food was ok not hot just warm steak was like four small small pieces … we came on Valentine’s Day for dinner. Sean S. AVOIDED US after I had to ask different person for clean cup then changed to Togo cup A different steak house next time for sure
