Something is definitely wrong with the air conditioning system in this location! It was hot when we sat down, I asked the server if they had the heat on “our AC is broken” was her response and she apologized for that. We got our food, which was great but it kept getting worse in the building, 🥵 very uncomfortable, so much so that my husband began to shake because his breathing became difficult and he had to go outside. When he came back in I had finished my breakfast, but he said he couldn’t stay because there was “something wrong or possibly even toxic in the air!” So he left, I paid for our food and he’s outside trying to catch his breath and gain his composure, he felt shaky and weak. He got in the truck, we stayed there awhile longer to make sure he was able ti drive. As we were sitting there the waitstaff opened both of the main entrance doors and propped them to stay open! They must have known something was wrong!!! This was our second time to go there and the AC was out, but this time it was more than that, something is definitely wrong with the AC system or the air compressor in the restaurant. Please do something because the food is great and so are the employees, but it’s not their fault or their responsibility for faulty air equipment!!

Allison was awesome. We were traveling thru and had no idea what a Huddle House was. The two girls were amazing. We were a group of 9 traveling thru to San Antonio and they already had a few tables. Allison was amazing and took all our to go orders and got us taken care of in a jiffy! Thanks ladies! Amazing hospitality!!

I'd snap a picture, but we ate it all before I could leave the review 😄! Driving through Mt. Vernon on our way to Arkansas. So happy we stopped in. Ordered the smash burger, kids tenders, and my FIL had the breakfast special 😋 Kat was such a wonderful and hospitable waitress - super attentive! Adam was our cook and the food was delicious! Thank you both Kat & Adam for treating us so well. Love the Ball Family, in from Texas!!!

This was a very nice experience sitting down with the family. The waitress was hilarious an very friendly an informative of what to eat verses what not to eat.. I truly wish that there were more places still like this for the families to enjoy. Really nicely priced, lots of food to fill up an very tasty as well. I will definitely return to this place Carla you were a great breathe of fresh air from what we normally deal with. I got comical laugh front his poster posted on the front door as we were leaving... Huddle 6ft apart🤣🤣

Everything was great for it being attached to a gas station. The service was amazing, they were very friendly and accommodating. The food was great, it was cooked perfectly and tasted heavenly. There weren't too many people there when we were there, but the restaurant was clean and quiet. Only issue we had was that the restaurant was out of a lot of things, but as I said they were very accommodating!

This is my coffee stop after a good morning at the gym. 2 eggs and a side of sliced tomatoes to refuel with coffee and water. They, like most places are short staffed but still manage to keep the liquid flowing and food served in a timely manner. 24 June 2022 Update. Cheese steak omelette with a side of tomatoes today. Service was fast and welcoming. Oct update 2024 Great service today and still on the omelette

Finally tried the Ol Fashioned Diner called the Huddle House. As always the negative first, it was quite dirty and service was very slow, like, we were there for an hour and a half(they did have signs saying they were short staffed and I understand that) We went at 11am, only about 5 seated tables, so don't really know what took so long, but we were patient. The food was great! Prices were excellent for the amount of food you got. In these absurd times i'd love to go back if things ever get back to normal. My wife ordered the ranch, for 12$ you get a ton of food main dish is country fried steak. I ordered the patty melt w/ fries, okra, and mac N cheese, was very good for 12$!

They tried to charge twice for one meal, they charged $5 extra dollars on one meal, they did not include all parts of that meal and burnt what they did include. Unbelievable. Every aspect of this place is completely unacceptable.

I ordered one of the bowl breakfasts... The skillet potatoes were hard not cooked enough, the grits were grainy and hard, not cooked enough,... My friends has browns were smashed completely flat and hard, OVERCOOKED, NOT CHEWABLE.... THE SO CALLED SAUSAGE. had no flavor... The menu is much higher than IHOP... Probably not worth stopping in again... Sad it use to be great ...😢the service staff was professional and friendly but that doesn't fix the food....

Ordered food 3 people in restaurant. Waited 45 minutes. Manager said training sorry we all were still waiting. We're traveling couldn't wait any longer paid for our drinks and left.

Second time I went in at 745 on 9-4 the waitress for got our creamer and sugar then forgot our condiments... coffee was awful told her she said people keep complaining about coffee this is the second time ive been there and never got blueberry bites. Although I paid for them. Didn't even bring syrup for waffles the cook had to. She only had two tables....then sitting there and a roach climbs next to the table on our wall. I tell her she says yeah I no. Never again 😒 literally was a regular before this.

If you eat here you deserve to get sick. This is the nastiest location I have ever seen and I go to a lot of them between Dallas and Texarkana. Both of the women working in there are extremely nasty and will threaten you if you say how dirty the grill is. If you dont believe me just go have a look. Edit. Is that why yall called the police and have me tresspassed. I have filed charges on that waitress for her threatening to kick my ass as I was walking out. Even the officer said shes done this before and im telling yall that this location is disgusting. Even the manager at the cefco said she wont eat in there because it stinks so bad.

The waitress was the only part of the restaurant that was a good experience. Clearly the place had fallen into decline with many missing ingredients, burnt burger patties and lack of managerial presence. They ran out of sweet tea and never made more so we ended up no refills at our table because they simply didn't make any more. The poor waitress was trying so hard, only to have to tell us each inconvenience and unavailable item over and over. There was also difficulties in hailing the work staff to the front as they all went into the back at the same time and one of them was quite irate about us trying to converse with them. On another note, one worker tried to help by excusing the flustered waitress by outing her neurodivergence. I'd like to finish this with saying that my wife typed this out specifically because the words that I have for this place are inappropriate for the internet
