My family and I took a trip for my Mom's 50th Birthday! What a wonderful place to go and experience! We were so excited, being huge Gordon fans! I will say, this place knocked it out of the park! Our servers were very professional and welcoming; they were quick on their feet to help serve us. Prior to arriving, I chatted with Khimberlee, and she was very kind to get us custom menus that said "Happy 50th Birthday Christina!". Our waitress Morgan was also very attentive to our every need or request! Amazing people and very polite! Great, hardworking staff! It's recommended to make a reservation! Get the house water and any specialty drink - it'll do you good! Extra drinks we ordered were Pepsi, White Wine Moscato, and the Love Affair Mocktail. If you go with a decent party of 2-5, I recommend getting all different foods and sharing them amongst each other so everyone can try a little bit of everything! We ate the Parker Rolls, Beef Wellington, Fish & Chips, Pan-Seared Scallops, The Idiot Sandwich, Baked Mac and Cheese, the Potato Puree, and Sticky Toffee Pudding. All of these were absolutely splendid! Superb! Top tier! Overall, amazing experience! Lovely atmosphere! Great staff service - we were never left unattended to! If you haven't yet, GO TRY THIS DELICIOUS FOOD! Thank you Gordon Ramsay! * none of it was RAW! LOL >_<
My husband and I had an amazing experience at Ramsay’s Kitchen at the Casino on New Year’s Eve. Everything was absolutely spectacular—from the atmosphere to the outstanding service, which was attentive and professional throughout the entire evening. The dinner was truly beyond words; every dish was beautifully presented and full of incredible flavor. It was the perfect way to celebrate such a special night, and we would absolutely return and highly recommend it.
Today was our son's 21st birthday and he wanted to go to his favorite restaurant. Desiree was our server and she was such a doll. She was fast and very attentive. If we could give more stars we would. Thank you for making our son's birthday so wonderful. And just look at the menu they did for him. Gordon our son is your biggest fan. Thank you again for such a great night!
I was hesitant with booking a Thanksgiving dinner with the limited menu. The menu did not disappoint. Service was good as the restaurant was not busy. There were about 20 other tables that were active during or visit. It was nice to see that they over staffed for a holiday as staff was taking the time to deep clean. The food was delicious. As the food came out, the presentation was well and the taste did satisfy. We would go again. Definitely recommend reservations so that you are guaranteed a table.
Our first time here was phenomenal! Leslie was our server and she went so above and beyond for us. She is definitely a main reason that lead me to do a review. The food was so delicious I cant even begin to explain. I would say the lump crab cakes were our favorite out of everything!! Make sure to make a reservation and keep up with what time the sun goes down because the view is amazing up there and you want to see it while eating! I cant wait to come back here and hope Leslie is still there doing the best 👏
Nothing like a Gordon Ramsey restaurant! The food was phenomenal, the drinks were spot on (they used the right cherry for my old fashion😉) and Desiree is best server! She was very attentive, fun and made our dining experience that much better!
Amazing Food, Service, and Atmosphere! We had such a wonderful dining experience! The Parker Rolls were absolutely delicious and pork belly — a perfect way to start the meal. My husband and I ordered mocktails (Love Affair and Lychee Cooler), and we loved both of them. I had the Wedge Salad (my favorite!), and my husband went with the Caesar Salad — both were fresh and flavorful. For our main courses, I ordered the Roasted Chicken, which was incredibly tasty, while my husband enjoyed the Bone-In Ribeye — cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Our kids had the cheeseburgers from the kids’ menu and the truffle fries, which they devoured happily. We finished with coffee and the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert — the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. A big thank you to our server, Romi, who took excellent care of us, and to the entire staff for being so welcoming. The amazing view made everything even better. Highly recommend!
Ramsay’s Kitchen in Murphy, NC exceeded expectations! The atmosphere blends upscale comfort with mountain charm. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Perfect for date nights or special occasions—Murphy finally has fine dining done right! Views are amazing too!
Did not disappoint. Large food portions. My husband and I shared the wedge salad, and crab cake, there was plenty for both of us. We also ordered the pork chop and fish and chips. Food came out hot, both large portions. Beautiful views. Good service. Definitely will be back.
We had an amazing dinner for our Anniversary! Our server Desiree was so wonderful! The atmosphere, service and food were all great. Will definitely be back when we are in North Carolina!
My husband and I were in town from Orlando and had reservations to celebrate our Anniversary. We had an absolutely lovely dinner. The restaurant itself is on the tenth floor of the casino and the views were stunning! We were 45 minutes early to our reservation and the kind hostess took us early and sat us by the window. The presentation of the food was beautiful and everything was delicious. I had the RK burger with truffle fries. I am never able to finish burgers especially when it has two patties, but it was so yummy I ate the whole thing! Taylor was our server and he was attentive and friendly. He saw me trying to take pictures and offered to take our photo on the outside deck which was a very nice way to end our dinner.
The food was (as always) stellar but what makes us coming back here again and again is the service. Most recently, we enjoyed our server Desiree. She is warm and friendly and very helpful with menu tips. Always a smile on her face and attentive with refills on water and wine. Thanks and see you again soon! #crabcakesaregodlevel
Update: I left the five star rating, but I have to be honest about last night’s dinner. The wait time for our food was just crazy and once it finally came out it was pretty much room temperature. The truffle fries were just plain ‘ol stale. Service subpar. The staff must of walked past us at least 5X without a word. We’ve never had such a bad experience before so I suggest to go during the week, if possible. The manager made it “right” regarding the check, but that’s not the point. Canceled our Thanksgiving reservation. I can’t imagine going through that again when it’s that busy. We’ve had everything from the delicious Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, to Parker Rolls to the Pan-Seared Scallops to the Connecticut Style Lobster Roll to, what we think is their best dessert, Sticky Toffee Pudding. We also loved the Apple Bread Pudding. Tonight was our 3rd visit. My husband and I shared the Beef Wellington. It was perfectly cooked and so was the side of Roasted Asparagus. I hate to say that the Vanilla Marscarpone Cheesecake was definitely not worth $14. It simply tasted like something you find at any buffet and that also holds true for its portion size. Don’t miss the chance to dine here, especially if you want to celebrate an occasion. You’ll love the beautiful view (look for rainbows over the mountains) and the service is top notch. Enjoy!
This restaurant has one of the most spectacular views! We had a cocktail at the bar and dinner by the window! Service was perfect, and the food was so well prepared and served. We shared an 8 ounce filet and scallops with risotto! Absolutely perfectly done!
We really loved this restaurant. My husband and I ordered the Burger and fish and chips. I upgraded my chips to the truffle fries. EVERYTHING was delicious! We ended sharing our meals and it was perfect! I did order a lemon drop martini and it too was amazing! The service was spot on with an attentive waitress! The views are phenomenal! You will not be disappointed!
Staying in Murphy for the month and decided to try Ramsay's Kitchen. The restraunt itself is very bright, pristine and inviting. The views are spectacular. We were seated for our reservation as soon as we arrived. From the start all of the staff were great. Angie our server was friendly, informative and great at getting us drinks and our apps and meals promptly. She checked on us frequently to make sure we were good. The food, although a bit pricey, was all very good. We had the crab cake and pork belly appetizers. They both were great. Our entrees were the lobster roll with mixed greens and double smash burger with fries, were very good as well. Overall it was a very good experience and meal. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a try. Just know you'll spend a good chunk of change. You won't be disappointed by the food, service or the restraunt itself.
We were staying in the area and chose to eat here 2 nights in a row. The food, atmosphere and service were excellent! The first night I had the crab cake. We shared the Brussels sprouts and a sticky toffee pudding. What a treat! The crab cake was the best I’ve ever had, the Brussels sprouts were top notch and the sticky toffee pudding was indescribably delicious. The service was excellent and the view of the mountains was beautiful! The second night I had the crispy skin salmon over sticky rice with green curry and a Thai apple slaw. We shared the asparagus and for desert the apple bread pudding. Again, the food was fantastic and the service was stellar. I hope to get the opportunity to eat here again.
We had an amazing dinner for my son’s 21st birthday! The restaurant has breathtaking views, tantalizing food and our server Taylor was phenomenal! He went above and beyond to make sure the evening was perfect! Nate made certain the reservation was set and everything was prepared well!
Amazing customer service! Everyone was extremely polite, friendly, and helpful. Our server’s name was Holly and she was so sweet. Loved the Gordon Ramsay experience!
The food, service, and atmosphere were all great. The food highlights were the marrow and the sticky toffee pudding. Our server Desiree did amazing and was very attentive as was the maitre d, Nathan. The views are stunning, try to get there for sunset. We will be back!
This was our first time coming and we absolutely LOVED the experience and the food. The atmosphere is stunning and elegant, but very relaxed for us “southerners”. The service was amazing. My husband and I came to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and every single worker we came across greeted us and wished us a happy anniversary. Desiree and Taylor were amazing. So sweet and so informative. They were definitely top tier. The view is stunning! The cooks were very professional and worked proficiently to get the meals cooked and served. Now the most important part, the food! The cosmopolitan was AMAZING! So delicate, but absolutely perfect. My husband got the fish and chips and the fish was cooked to perfection. The tartar sauce was absolutely scrumptious. I got the scallops and risotto and it was so tangy (in the best way) but the scallops give it just the right amount of POP of savory. The Mac and cheese was perfect! So creamy and cheesy, and the prosciutto on top was an amazing compliment to the dish! The portions were massive and super filling. We were too full to order a dessert, but next time I’ll definitely save the room for it. I absolutely recommend the restaurant and the dining experience. It was a wonderful time and I’m so glad we got to go!!
We ate at Ramsey kitchen in Murphy with friends (4top ) we enjoyed the new addition to our town for a date night , special celebration .the atmosphere was energetic and friendly yet still professional , great quality food top notch service . The manager was on the floor helping and overseeing all while we were there and came to ensure we were enjoying , Desiree was our server she was terrific ! Food was good our bill was pricey but expected in the casino and didn’t mind paying for the quality of what we got ! Going again for sure to share with more friends ! My husband had beef Wellington and was very happy with it (never had before) my friends and I had pork chops and chicken entrees , good sides Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts , fries are just fries . desert is divine !
Me and my dad went and it was a fantastic experience! My pops and I spent the whole day gambling and decided to make a reservation for dinner here, and that was for sure the best decision we made. We had an amazing server named Holly who made the amazing experience even better. She gave us great insight about the red wines and the different types of craft cocktails. I had the cosmopolitan to start of the meal, then had a glass of red wine for the meal. I decided to get the classic and the famous Gordon Ramsay Beef Wellington! I say with 100% honesty, this was the best meal/entree I have ever had. The beef and the breading around it were cooked to perfection, as well as the potato freiche and vegetables. Me and my father decided we wanted to get something sweet for desert, but we had so many questions so we knew we had to ask Holly. We narrowed it down to the sticky toffee pudding and the chocolate pot de Creme. Me and my father never ever liked pudding of any kind so we were suspicious of the sticky toffee pudding so we voiced our concerns to Holly about that. But Holly explained that there was not pudding and it was more of a cake a la mode and that the chocolate pot de crème is the one that is like a pudding. This made our decision very easy. The sticky toffee was pudding was one of the best desserts I’ve ever heard (it was hollys favorite dessert also). Yes but it truly was an amazing experience. The total came out to only $185 for 2 people and we both had drinks. This restaurant is an absolute must stop if you are in Murphy NC or at the casino. It was literally the best meal I’ve ever had I’ll leave pictures of my food below, thank you Ramsay’s Kitchen staff and Holly for an amazing experience!
Filet was cooked just the way I like it. I always sit at the bar and the service is excellent. All the food I've had has been well-prepared with only a couple minor issues. The lemon fennel risotto (with the scallops) was not very flavorful and the caesar salad lacked garlic. The tuna tartare also needed a touch more seasoning. Yes, the pricing is premium, but I've used my comps several times. I use the Caesar Rewards app to make reservations and I've never had to wait for a seat.
Phenomenal food and drinks at a venue with gorgeous views. Our servers Desiree & Miss Terry were stellar.
Everyone is so nice, every time I’ve been here the servers are so nice and welcoming! The food was delicious I especially like the mac and cheese, asparagus and crab cakes. Their steaks are also very good! The environment is great and being able to see the mountains and all the natural light coming in is so refreshing.
Desi was an amazing server. Food was delicious, not one complaint. Perfect Anniversary Dinner. Will be back again soon.
We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary tonight impromptu & no reservations and they accommodated us. It was a Saturday evening and so we appreciated that they seated us quickly and made our celebration special. We had a beautiful mountain view as they are located 10th floor. We had the salmon and filet mignon dinners and rolls and chocolate dessert and a rose wine. It was all incredible and delicious and presentation was beautiful. Morgan was our server and she was awesome. She answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable and professional and courteous. This was our 1st visit and we definitely will return and recommend.
This dinner was delicious. We split the fish and chips and the braised short ribs. WOW. Barely a spoonful of mashed and spinach on the braised short ribs but I guess that's called presentation? 🤣💀 Dessert was great too, and my wine was excellent! Service was great and prompt.
My daughter and I were celebrating our October Birthdays. The atmosphere ambiance was incredible. We loved the view through the wall of windows of the gorgeous mountainside. Our dinner of Crab Cakes, Seared Scallops, Brussel Sprouts, and Duckhorn Decoy, Cabernet met our high expectations for Ramsay’s Kitchen! Our server, Taylor, was very attentive and helpful, all the while wearing a smile that matched the smile in his eyes. What a wonderful experience!!
Such an amazing experience here. It's on the 10th floor overlooking the beautiful mountains and the food and service was amazing. Taylor the waiter was on top of his game and my drink always stayed full and he constantly checked to make sure everything was perfect. Best crab cake app i have ever had and an amazing 24 oz rib eye. Can't wait to go back.
Came for the vibes and the beef Wellington (of course), and enjoyed that and everything else! Brittany was a fantastic server. All phases of our meal were perfect with her. The tuna tartare, short rib, THE BREAD, and apple pie deserve honorable mentions. As a GR fan, I am thrilled that my first Ramsay's Kitchen visit didn't disappoint and I'm pleased to report that this concept of the company is true to the brand. Cheers!
We had a wonderful dinner for Valentine’s Day. The service was incredible thanks to our waitress Morgan. Thanks for making our night so special! Food and drinks were on point and we can wait to come back!
Came here to celebrate our anniversary. Amazing views, food was great but mashed potatoes were a bit runny and portions on sides were very small for shareable accompaniments. Our server was wonderful - would recommend.
***A Memorable Dining Experience with Room to Grow*** Ramsay’s Kitchen in Murphy, North Carolina, delivers a unique and elevated dining experience with many high points and a few areas for refinement. The restaurant’s ambience is nothing short of exceptional, sophisticated yet welcoming with stunning panoramic mountain views that add a truly unforgettable backdrop to the meal. The standout dish of the evening was the roasted chicken entrée, perfectly cooked and paired thoughtfully with a fennel and arugula salad. The freshness and brightness of the salad beautifully complimented the savory notes of the chicken, making for a well-balanced and satisfying plate. Unfortunately, the fish and chips did not meet the same high standard. The haddock lacked consistency where it was dry in some parts and unappetizingly mushy in others. The chips, served as just a few overly large wedges, felt out of place and diminished the classic appeal of this British staple. Similarly, the mac and cheese had potential but needed a bolder, more defined flavor to truly shine. One important area for improvement is the menu’s inclusivity. At the time of our visit, there were no vegetarian entrees available, which is a significant oversight in today’s dining landscape. Expanding the menu to include thoughtful vegetarian options would go a long way in broadening the restaurant’s appeal. That said, the service was absolutely top-tier. Desy and Morgan were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, turning the meal into a memorable experience through their professionalism and charm. If you’re a fan of unforgettable desserts, Ramsay’s Kitchen is an absolute must-visit. Every bite of each dessert we tried was pure bliss, but three stood out as truly phenomenal: the sticky toffee pudding, apple bread pudding, and vanilla mascarpone cheesecake. The sticky toffee pudding was rich, warm, and perfectly balanced with a luxurious toffee sauce that soaked into the sponge just right—comforting and indulgent! The apple bread pudding offered a cozy, nostalgic flavor elevated by its soft texture and subtle spice, finished with a touch of caramelized apple that added the perfect amount of brightness. And the vanilla mascarpone cheesecake was a standout! It was light, creamy, and silky-smooth with just the right tang from the mascarpone, resting on a perfectly crisp crust. Each dessert showcased not just technical skill, but also a real understanding of flavor and texture. Ramsay’s Kitchen doesn’t just serve dessert, they celebrate it, and it shows in the photos below! Overall, Ramsay’s Kitchen shows real promise. With a few tweaks to the menu and attention to dish execution, it could easily become a go-to culinary destination in the region.
The view is amazing so if you aren't into the food at least go to the bar for a drink. A table was requested on the reservation, but a hightop was given... no one offered any explanation as to why as there seamed to be open window tables. I would have been fine with a we gave you a high top so you had a view explanation. I'd rather have a view at a high top , than looking at a wall from a table. The waitress was friendly, though hasn't quite learned the menu yet, but it's also a fairly new restaurant so I'm not surprised. The menu is a bit limited. I thought the scallop risotto was good and a semi reasonable price. The same dish is $65 in Atlantic city at the Gorden Ramsey steak house vs $49 here.
Sides do not come with the pork chop. The sweet potato and apples are only a garnish and the pork chop was not amazing enough to warrant the price. Beef Wellington was good but not great. They are always trying to upsell you on everything. View was amazing!! If you go, recommend the burger and fries. Better value.
Great vibes, amazing service, food is ok The view here is absolutely gorgeous, and the service was fantastic—super friendly and attentive staff. Definitely a great place to relax and take in the scenery. I had the hamburger and swapped the regular fries for the garlic aioli fries. The burger was okay—nothing special, a bit small, and the bun was a little too oily for my taste. Could’ve used more grilled onions to balance things out. The fries were flavorful but came out lukewarm and slightly overcooked. For a place with the Gordon Ramsay name, I was hoping for a bit more wow factor, especially at $30 before tax and tip. That said, it wasn’t bad—just not mind-blowing. Overall, I’d come back for the view and a drink, maybe not for a full meal. Still a nice spot to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere!
I decided to treat my parents here for their birthdays two days ago. Since it was my mom’s milestone 70th birthday I didn’t mind spending the $$$. We normally don’t spend this much on a meal out, but again, it was a milestone. However, It did not exceed my expectations. I’ll share about our experience. Reservation was easy to make. We were sat right on time, no waiting. I was pleasantly surprised to find a happy birthday message on our menu. That was a very nice detail. Server was very nice and attentive. Now for the food. There was five of us and I’ll share my opinion on everything. Sadly my mom did not like her meal at all. Keep in mind she was a cafeteria manager up until her retirement last year so she is extremely picky and hard to please. Anyhow, she ordered the idiotic sandwich. She didn’t like the fact that the meat was dry/crispy and the sauce on it tasted sweet like ketchup. We ordered the wedge salad which was absolutely delish!!! The blue cheese dressing was out of this world. We ordered the Parker rolls which were good but nothing to brag about. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts and they were very yummy. My teen ordered the burger plain but it still showed up to the table with onions on it. So that was a bit disappointing. She also ordered the Mac n cheese which was yummy but still sort of lacked flavor. My dad ordered the short ribs and said he liked them. It was very tasty, tender and tasted like a pot roast to me. My husband ordered the fish n chips. I thought it was gross. The breading was like that of a funnel cake, soft and sweet. He did not like it either. I ordered the salmon. It was ok, I’ve had better, not much flavor. The creamed cauliflower was cold, but pretty yummy. My mom also had a side salad with lemon vinaigrette and that dressing was delish! The highlight of the night was the sticky toffee pudding! That was delish!!! The little chocolate with happy birthday added on top was a sweet gesture. So all in all, we had a great time, and enjoyed everything for the most part, but I’d probably only go back for wedge salad and sticky toffee pudding to be honest.
Visited casino which has been renovated and they’ve added Ramsey’s Kitchen. Nice place with great views of hilltop green space. Had shrimp cocktail, scallops and crispy skin salmon. Shrimp was overcooked, scallops with risotto was tasteless needed seasoning, but the salmon was very tasty. Had a trainee server… no comment. It looked like other servers were very well versed on the menu and had excellent customer service.
Atmosphere was great, very clean and the service was excellent. But the food wasn’t what we expected. We had the rolls for an appetizer but brown and serve rolls would have been better than what was served to us. The 24 oz bone in ribeye was cooked perfectly medium but had very little flavor especially for a $90 steak. The sides were good and the dessert was good. A $200 meal that should have been better
The staff was welcoming and attentive! The salmon melted in your mouth. The pork chop with chutney was cooked to perfection. That’s in the plus column. On the other side… Our old fashion cocktails were cloyingly sweet (we specifically asked for minimally sweet on one and no simple in the other) and came with a candied cherry. WTH. For 19 bucks and at a Ramsey‘s kitchen, I expect a Luxardo cherry and a real block of ice. We did have them remake the cocktails and they were kind about it. They don’t staff a craft cocktail bartender in any stretch of the imagination. For an appetizer, we decided to try the braised cauliflower. The breading was very thick and was more like sweet and sour fried Chinese food than something that would be exceptional. The entrées as noted were well done. Our Caesar salad, which was enough for two and our server suggested we share, it was indeed quite large. It arrived at our table after our entrées and that can be forgiven, but the Caesar was more like mayonnaise and had no flavor. And they use so much dressing that I couldn’t eat it. We ate at the hotel as a matter of convenience to celebrate a special occasion and not leave the property. The view is quite lovely, but not enough for the price tag of a mediocre meal. Head down to the brew Brothers and grab a burger or something and save yourself 100 bucks.
My wife is a Gordon Ramsay fan, and we are living in the area, so we reserved the chef's table for our anniversary. Our server was great! Service was fairly quick and the presentation was spectacular! The pork belly starter was delicious, It was, in fact, the only thing that had much flavor at all in our entire meal. The beef wellington was just okay. The roasted chicken was the only item that tasted seasoned but was entirely overcooked. The mac and cheese looked like cut up rigatoni in a watery, tasteless sauce with a broiled layer of real cheese on top. The asparagus was the only thing my wife actually was excited about after tasting. I found it bland and only ate a single spear. My wife ate about half of her meal, I ate less than half of mine. We had our server box up the rest so we could feed it to the farm animals at home. We wanted to bring home a dessert, which was a 45 minute drive away, and went with the cheesecake. We arrived at home to realize that the staff stole part of our leftovers. Also, the cheesecake did not come with the toppings and was bland, it didn't taste sweetened at all. We will never spend another dime in a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. We've been to his burger joints and they're just alright, so I'm not missing out. We will also be suggesting that people actively avoid spending their money at any of his restaurants. I don't want anyone else to be as disappointed as my wife was on our anniversary, and as I am to see her lose respect for someone she held in high regard. We should have been amazed for nearly $100 per person. Instead, it ended up being the worst part of our anniversary this year. I do highly recommend white water rafting at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, 30 minutes away. That was our mid day activity, and it was a blast!
Service was good, however they would not serve the drinks we ask for. Said they could not serve more than two drinks in an hour and server said she would get in trouble for over pouring. If someone is willing to spend money and is not visually intoxicated, causing a scene, that is absolutely stupid. The chicken was tough and dry. The idiot sandwich was just ok. The pork belly was way overcooked! Don’t waste your time or money. We will never be back! We could have had a better dinner at Nathan’s Hot Dogs!
We dined at Ramsay’s Kitchen on New Year’s Eve at 5:30 PM with high expectations. The views were beautiful, and we were greeted warmly upon arrival. The hostess and waitstaff were genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout the evening. To give proper context, we are well-traveled diners and have eaten at several Gordon Ramsay restaurants around the world, including locations abroad. We have even had the opportunity to meet Gordon Ramsay in person at one of his restaurants in London. We are also from a large metropolitan area, are experienced diners, and are former restaurant owners ourselves, so we tend to be realistic, patient, and very understanding when dining out. We usually do not complain and rarely leave negative reviews. The evening began on a very strong note. Having the chef come out personally to discuss and accommodate our child’s allergies was incredibly thoughtful and set a warm, reassuring tone for the night. Unfortunately, what followed was not anticipated and should not have happened—especially at this level of restaurant and price point. The restaurant was offering a prix fixe menu with two options, which naturally raises expectations around pacing and execution. Despite this, our first course took approximately 10–15 minutes to arrive, which already felt unusually long for a pre-fixed menu. The second course came out in a more reasonable time, but the inconsistency continued from there. I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller, and they were not edible. The oysters had an extremely strong, fishy odor—far beyond what is normal—and I eat oysters regularly. They did not appear fresh or healthy and were clearly off. My husband’s pork belly was fine, and our children’s macaroni and cheese eventually arrived and was acceptable. The most significant issue was timing. Our third course took approximately 30–40 minutes to arrive, which was incredibly frustrating. By that point, the kids were exhausted, we were still hungry, and the experience had become uncomfortable. A manager briefly stopped by but seemed unsure how to address the situation and quickly moved on. I eventually had to stop someone myself to ask about our food. When the main course finally arrived, both my husband and I had ordered the same surf and turf. My plate was missing the potatoes, which required yet another correction and delay. Dessert eventually followed, but by then the flow of the evening had completely fallen apart. We respectfully spoke with our waitress about the two-hour dinner, much of which was spent waiting—especially while many surrounding tables appeared to be served on time. The only accommodation offered was $25 off a bill totaling close to $500. We still tipped our waitress appropriately (15–20%), as she was kind, apologetic, and clearly doing her best. This did not feel like a server issue but rather a kitchen execution and management issue. Even after payment, we waited another 10–15 minutes just to receive the bill back for signature, which felt awkward and unnecessarily prolonged. Ultimately, the food itself was just fine—not terrible, but not memorable or exceptional enough to justify the cost or the drawn-out experience, even if service had been flawless. What added to the disappointment was that on our way out, I spoke with a gentleman seated at the bar who raved about his experience—excellent food, prompt service, and everything coming out on time. That contrast was frustrating, especially since the dining room was more than 50% empty for most of our visit. If pacing struggled this much under those conditions, it raises concerns about how the restaurant manages a full house. This dinner was meant to be a special way to close out the year. Instead, it caused us to miss our 8:00 PM plans, which had to be pushed later because a 5:30 reservation extended far beyond what should be reasonable. We gave it a few days before writing this, but after reflecting, we felt it was important to share. Unfortunately, this was an expensive and disappointing experience, and we will not be returning.
We had an horrible experience the food was not great and it tasted like it wasn't seasoned at all. They dont have simple things like hamburgers, a nice salad, baked potatoes, grilled chicken and NO A1 OR HEINZ 57! THIS PLACE IS NOT A STEAKHOUSE! We sat at the bar because you needed a reservation and we didnt have one or know we needed one. The bartender we had he was wonderful and very attentive! WE WILL NOT GO BACK!
My husband and I traveled all the way from Austin, Texas to Murphy, NC, and one of the things we were most looking forward to was dining at Ramsey’s Kitchen. Unfortunately, this experience turned out to be not only disappointing but downright unsafe. I understand that going out to eat with food allergies can be challenging and a little risky unless you do a lot of research. I specifically chose Ramsey’s Kitchen because of Gordon Ramsay’s reputation for taking food allergies very seriously. I truly believed I would be comfortable dining here. We waited over 30 minutes just to receive our drinks. When the waitress finally brought them, I specifically asked if they were placed correctly, knowing how severe my allergy is. She reassured me that they were. The way I discovered they were not was by taking a sip, only to realize I had been given my husband’s drink, which contained wheat and barley. I am severely allergic to these ingredients, and consuming them can cause organ damage. This was not a small mistake, it was a potentially life-threatening one. I understand that distilling alcohol may remove gluten for some people, but I am not willing to gamble with my health on “maybe.” What I needed was assurance and competence, and instead I got carelessness. When I brought this up, the greeter walked away without saying a word. The waitress eventually came over, but she clearly did not understand what had happened. She removed the drink containing wheat and barley, but left my husband with my original drink. She did eventually bring me a replacement drink, but by that point I did not trust it enough to drink any of it, and my husband was left without a drink for the entire meal. The manager did take the drinks off the bill, but she never once came over to apologize or acknowledge the seriousness of the mistake. For a restaurant that charges $127 for two people, the food was mediocre at best and absolutely not worth the risk or the price. What makes this even more shocking is that I have always admired Gordon Ramsay for how seriously he takes food allergies on television. That is exactly why I trusted this place. But in reality, our experience showed a complete lack of training, awareness, and accountability. I would never return to Ramsey’s Kitchen, and I would strongly caution anyone with food allergies to stay away.
The server was kind, but unfortunately got our orders wrong—and instead of correcting them, she guilt-tripped us into keeping the mistakes. We went along with it because we felt bad, but even our desserts came out wrong. For a Gordon Ramsay restaurant, I expected much better. The food was not great, and for a $500+ bill, I expected both higher-quality service and a much better dining experience. The standards here felt really subpar.
Went here Saturday, 1/3/26, for my birthday, and it was an absolute disappointment. I honestly don’t even know where to begin. We had reservations and were seated quickly, which was great—but there were only about five other tables dining. After being seated, it took around 10 minutes for someone to come take our drink order, then another 5–7 minutes just to get water. When the food finally arrived, I ordered pork belly—at least that’s what I ordered. What I was served was clearly a country spare rib. Pork belly should be crispy, bacon-like on the outside. This had zero seasoning, zero flavor, and honestly tasted disgusting. After one bite, I knew I couldn’t eat it. I waited 7–8 minutes for the waitress to return and asked for salt and pepper. That never came. After another 10 minutes, I finally got up and asked the hostesses if we could please get some salt and pepper. About five minutes later, they brought out unground sea salt in a bowl. By that point, all the food was cold, everyone else at the table was ready to leave, and it was my birthday dinner where I had eaten exactly one bite. I tried two more bites just to be sure, but it was completely inedible. My brother-in-law ordered the same dish and only took one bite as well. The waitress was absolutely horrible—she never came to the table unless we waved her down. I could maybe understand this if they were busy, but they were FAR from it. I would be embarrassed to have my name on this restaurant. After watching him on TV and seeing how precise and particular he is, I never would’ve expected such a terrible experience. This completely ruined my birthday vibe.
I had their New Year’s Eve menu (just last night) and I was so VERY disappointed!! The oyster Rockefeller was gross…..and I normally love them. But while the top appeared toasted, that was it. They definitely were not broiled more than a few seconds as the oyster itself was cold throughout. The lobster bisque was cold….flavor was good, but definitely barely warm and with the temperature in the restaurant, it got cold within the first couple of bites. (It would have been awesome if hot.) The next course was sea bass. I asked the waitress to please make sure it came out hot. Well, it wasn’t her fault that they were rushing the food through. The sea bass did come out hot (yaaaay) but the middle wasn’t cooked. I ended up asking the waitress to box it up so I could microwave it in my room and that’s what I did. The cheesecake was the only course that was worth the experience. Suffice it to say that I will not be eating there again. I used my celebration dinner in there as I knew the meal would use the whole credit. It’s sad to me that Ramsay is putting his name on restaurants and they are serving below par food while also giving a sub par dining experience.
