I have eaten here many times in the last 15 years, and everything has always been 5 stars. Fish specials, prime rib, lobster, all excellent. Our server was attentive and humorous. There are floor to ceiling windows for watching boats in the harbor. We thought it was a little loud this last visit, resulting in only 4 stars for atmosphere. This is the place where you will walk out with a big, satisfied smile every time. If I was fabulously rich, I would eat here twice a week.

Broiled Seafood Platter at Boathouse on Naples Bay Nestled along the serene waters of Naples Bay, Boathouse offers more than just picturesque views—it delivers a culinary experience that will linger on your palate long after the last bite. The Broiled Seafood Platter (GF) is nothing short of a seafood lover’s dream. The dish is a perfectly curated medley of ocean treasures. From the tender lobster tail to the meaty snow crab (your choice between the two is a delightful dilemma), every element is impeccably broiled to preserve the delicate, natural flavors. The shrimp are succulent and juicy, while the clams and mussels bring a briny freshness that ties the dish to its waterfront setting. The scallops are buttery-soft, practically melting in your mouth, and the filet of fish is flaky, moist, and expertly seasoned. All of this is elevated by the tangy lemon butter sauce—a perfect balance of richness and zest that ties the platter together without overpowering the seafood’s natural flavors. It’s the kind of sauce that makes you reach for another bite—and then another. Couple this phenomenal dish with Boathouse’s impeccable service and the breathtaking views of boats gliding by on the bay, and you have a meal that feels as luxurious as it is comforting. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply treating yourself, the Broiled Seafood Platter at Boathouse on Naples Bay is an unforgettable experience worth savoring.
Great Venue, the food and service was excellent. A shoutout for Jacob our server, he was very accommodating.
We had Seafood Norfolk and the Boathouse combo platter. Both were excellent. We added cesar salads & linguine to each dish. The preparation and sauces were perfect.
We had dinner and sat at the end of the dining room next to the glass overlooking the water. It was beautiful. I had the coulotte steak which I didn't really know much about but it turned out to be cooked exactly as I liked it and sliced making it easy to eat. I enjoyed an aperol spritz and my wife enjoyed the triggerfish.
Date night here was great. The food is AMAZING, and being on the water makes it that much better. The atmosphere was wonderful and our server was great, however he (and all of the staff) seemed to be overwhelmed. The drinks took about 20min but once our food order was in everything came out like clockwork and was delicious.
Maybe it was our location at Charter Club resort, but this restaurant was perfect! Went for supper with our daughter's family, and food and service were great! And they were packed! Thank you, Holden, our server! My hubby and I went the next day for a lite supper at the bar, great again. And our bartender and food was super! Thank you Evan! We went again for lunch, all good, comfortable, not busy, super service Evan. I know it's the off-season, so special thanks! We can not wait to come back. Oh, and the loaded mac-n-cheese is fantastic! Pic is the smoked salmon carpaccio, yum!
It was expansive..the view was beautiful. But it was WORTH IT. Although the Mac'n cheese could be more cheesy,it the first that I've had so packed with lobster, 10 10 would buy again. The broccoli was delicious...its cook with butter and a hint of lemon...heaven. the pasta place had half a lobster buried under, the deliciously cooked scallops. Drinks are ok, not as strong as I like . But tastes good.
Food here was really good, the service here was honestly the biggest highlight for me at least they were extremely funny and a joy to joke with, and of course the view here is amazing definitely a recommend.
Just amazing loved the view and food was delicious!!! So glad we went there everyone loved what they got (party of 8) I got broiled Seafood platter one of the Best I have ever gotten. Service not gonna complain but they could of used a bus boy to help waitresses - top notch for sure 💕⛵
Our waitress Lacee went above and beyond for our party last night. What a wonderful experience and the food was so good. We had some king crab and it was absolutely some of the freshest I’ve ever had. We will be back!
Loved my Paella. All others five enjoyed their individual seafood dishes. Great bayfront water view seating. Drank at bar attended well with nice drinks as we waited to be seated. Very busy but service was excellent. We were waited on attentively and promptly with our drinks and meals
First time visitors to Naples and were generally following some recommendations for places to eat...well they missed The Boathouse! Madelain our server was engaging and honest. Such a delight. We all enjoyed our meals, and our desert! We took advantage of happy hour drinks, and took in the scenery, including a bald eagle flying by with his dinner. Great way to wrap up our Naples stay.
Came here for a birthday date night and had a wonderful experience. Even though our server was busy, the service was still great and the food was excellent. I received a dessert and card, plus an excellent drink, which made the night feel extra special. The only downside was a child running up and down the aisle screaming, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. Overall, a memorable and enjoyable evening!
I went here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. 10 minute wait, great atmosphere! Excellent service, food and drinks! I had New England Clam Chowder and Blackened Fish Tacos. Everything was EXCELLENT! My server Andrew was on point with his attention to our experience. I highly recommend The Boathouse on Naples Bay!
Large menu with plenty of options. My lobster was perfect, the bread and butter was great! The views of the bay and the chance to feed the fish are a nice touch. Bring a couple of quarters for the fish food!
Had a great time coming here with my gf and her parents we had some snow crab legs the seafood saute and salad. Can’t wait to comeback. I also have to mention the nice view from the outdoor patio!
GM Hayden is 👏 amazing. Host staff and server Ramon were fabulous and caring. Incredible waterfront views for Kathy T birthday 🎂 celebration. Such great attention to detail and great, hot food and fabulous deserts we went back the next day. Thank you, Mike T and Kathy T ❤️ Cruisin Organics
Just had a reasonably priced quality steak. What we had been looking for for the last few days. Ramone, our server, what a nice guy. Add in the views, what’s not to like.
This place is beautiful. We got a window seat and enjoyed the beautiful views of the surrounding area. Our server was on point. She was very friendly, alert, & always making sure we was good. The food was so delicious but I have one small complaint. 5 fried little chicken wings for $14.50 I would never order again. When I ordered it I figured at least 8-10 would come for that price but hey learning experience. The wings did taste delicious though. But for the rest of our meals 100 out of 100 delicious!!!
The food was good and reasonable. The young lady waiting on us was remarkable. Friendly and courteous. Her name was Lissette. She may have been the best I have ever experienced.
My mom and I went to the boathouse to celebrate my birthday early on a Saturday evening and were able to get seats with great views right away even though we didn't have reservations. Ed was our server and he was excellent making my celebratory dinner very special! They also happen to have a special on anything with crab, 20% off for the month of June! Keep an eye out for other great specials and for Ed
Stopped in here for dinner and was blown away by the fish. Had the swordfish with a soy and scallion reduction and it was probably one of the top three pieces of fish I’ve ever eaten. The scallops are also amazing as is the local favorite: the grouper. it does get a little bit crowded, though it is the beginning of season. Prepared to wait a little while, but the food is worth the wait. (sorry for the half eaten dishes in the photos, but we could not wait to dig in!)
I had went to the boathouse for dinner and also to celebrate my daughters birthday! My daughter and I had a blast . My host Danielle was super sweet , kind , and always smiled. Even with her other guests she was top tier . Made me feel very comfortable. Other co workers smiled and said hi to my daughter very kind . Great place to come and also great table !
Stopped by w friends for dinner on a Thursday night - they were packed. Thankfully we had reservations. Mark was outstanding - informative and charming. He was extremely attentive to us and his other tables. He pointed out dishes that other diners were eating which helped us decide on our main course. One special thing he did for us was bring a sample of Gumbo to our table for one of us to taste because she didn't like spicy food - it was mildly spicy so she declined to order it. Thank you. We all really enjoyed our dishes, soups and salads. We had the lobster, shrimp and scallops over linguine with garlic butter- delicious. We had a wonder meal.
The Boathouse Naples – One of Our Favorite spots in Naples, Florida My fiancé and I absolutely love The Boathouse Naples and visit often. If you’re looking for one of the best waterfront seafood restaurants in Naples, this is the spot. The seafood is always fresh and delicious, and the seafood melt is one of our all-time favorites. The atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing meal by the water, the service is consistently excellent, and the staff truly makes you feel welcome. A special shout-out to Hayden, who helps run the restaurant, he is a huge asset to the ownership team. He always remembers us and greets us, which makes the experience feel personal every time we come in. If you’re searching for great seafood, friendly service, and a beautiful Naples waterfront dining experience, The Boathouse Naples is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back again and again.
The Boathouse On Naples Bay is a great waterfront dining option. They have many different seafood offerings. I chose the Broiled Seafood Platter which came with Lobster Tail, Shrimp, Scallops, Fish, Clams and Mussels. All prepared perfectly in a lemon butter sauce!I I ordered the Clams Casino as a starter and they were delicious! I have dined here many times and have always been happy with my meals.
I went there with my daughter on a Sunday night and the service was Incredible right from the beginning. Our waitress (name was maybe Lacee), was super attentive, made great recommendations and checked in with us often. We had the calamari as an appetizer, the stuffed shrimp as the main course, as well as the Broiled seafood platter and all three were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very nice and the view top it all off. It’s definitely on my list to come back to when I go back to Naples!
We were here Friday night for our Anniversary celebration. We read mixed reviews as there usually are depending on your taste and experience. We decided to give it a try and sat at the bar before our table was ready. We met Terry, Mike and Mike at the bar that just so happened to be where we’re from in Pa. Drinks were good. The food was amazing from the Shrimp cargo, Lobster Mac and cheese was outstanding. I had the Bourbon Chilean Sea bass Oscar it was perfection! Gary had the end cut Prime Rib which he should have had a more med rare center cut. The waitress did say it would be medium. She brought us a piece of trace Leche cake to die for. Highly recommend. Glad we came early it got crowded. We will be returning. It was a great night on the water for our special occasion.
The Boathouse on Naples Bay has incredible food. I had twin Maine lobsters off a special they were offering. Expecting two 1 1/4 lb lobsters, I was shocked to get two 2 lb lobsters. They were delicious, fresh and enough to satisfy my New England love of main lobster. Special thanks to Hayden, assistant manager and RJ our server. They went above and beyond to make our meal special. Also, the restaurant is right on the water with beautiful views. A 45 minute drive was totally worth it and I will happily make that drive again for their delicious seafood.
This place was outstanding! Delicious food, beautiful views, and excellent service. Our server, Holden, was personable and engaging. He was super attentive and gave us amazing recommendations. Definitely try the shrimp cargot - so good!! This was our first time there and I was a little worried about parking, but it was a breeze because they have a valet service right at the front door.
This is old school Florida iconic restaurant with excellent food, a nautical, laid back atmosphere, with fun servers who are entertaining & you are right in the Bay! We had lobster bisque, mozzarella sticks, side Caesar, swordfish, land & sea combo, lobster Mac & seafood platter. Everything was cooked perfectly & delicious! We were so ready to eat, only got two food pics!
We were in Naples visiting the Great Wolf Lodge and wanted a great spot for dinner and found The Boathouse on Google and decided to check it out. So glad we did. The location is beautiful, right on the water, super laid-back, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Our server, Margarita, was amazing and gave us great recommendations and really made the experience special. We sat outside, and the whole meal was a 10/10. To start, the warm rolls with butter were perfect. We split a half order of the New England clams and the Milano mussels… both were exceptional. The sauce was so good we were dipping our bread in it and wished we could bottle it up to take home. We also tried two Rockefeller oysters and two oregenatta oysters… both were packed with flavor and so good we could’ve easily ordered more. The New England clam chowder was also solid. For our entree, we shared the Boathouse Combo Platter with grouper Siciliano style (baked with Italian breadcrumbs and served with a caper lemon butter sauce), a crab cake, shrimp scampi, a loaded baked potato, and roasted cauliflower with beurre blanc sauce. Plenty of food for two and everything was delicious. We wrapped it up with the crème brûlée cheesecake that Margarita recommended… wow. Phenomenal. Way better than expected. All in all… if you’re in Naples, this place is a must. We totally get the hype and will definitely be back.
The Boathouse on Naples Bay is a must-visit! The happy hour is excellent, with great deals and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The margaritas are perfectly crafted, and the soup is rich and delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly, making the experience even better with their attentive and cheerful service. What truly sets this place apart is the stunning view. Sitting by the window, you can watch boats gently passing by, creating a peaceful and picturesque scene that perfectly complements the dining experience. It’s a wonderful spot for a relaxing meal, whether you’re with friends, family, or just looking to unwind. Highly recommend for the food, ambiance, and service!
This is a really nice place with a great view. Very clean and nicely decorated for that perfect vibe! Staff were very friendly and took care of all our needs. The food was good, not perfect, some of the flavors were almost there but not spot on. For example, the lobster bisque was weak, not a strong vibrant lobster flavor. It almost matched what I would get out of a can of soup from a grocery store. I had to add a bunch of salt and pepper to give it some character but it just didn’t really help enough. My fish on the other hand was good, decent flavor and cooked properly, not rubbery. So overall I give the food a 4 out of 5. Price wise it’s not terrible. Most everything is individual so you get the main dish and then add on your sides as you like and pay for each one accordingly. If you’re a lite eater this makes it pretty budget friendly without feeling like you’re throwing g food away or overeating to make it all worthwhile. Overall I recommend this place and would return myself.
I had an amazing experience at this seafood restaurant! The freshness and quality of the dishes were outstanding, with each bite bursting with flavor. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. The ambiance is cozy and elegant, making it a perfect spot for a special evening. The service was impeccable, with the staff being both attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. If you're a seafood lover, this place is an absolute must-visit. Five stars all the way!

Great location, outdoors sitting and views are very nice. Food is very well served, portions are good. Service was very good. You cannot miss the Artichoke and crab apetizer, simply amazing!
A decent place for lunch or dinner with a good selection of options. Service is leisurely but friendly and accurate. It is quite a popular spot and can be a little noisy.
I wrote a review 3 years ago about the Boathouse in which I said it was a tricky place and a mixed bag. Upon a recent visit I found that things were upgraded from my prior review and many experiences, and it was a very pleasant environment. Rodney behind the bar is probably the best bartender in Naples, and the physical post-hurricane remodel is a nice upgrade. They have a wonderful patio overlooking Naples Bay, and the food is largely satisfying and appetizing. My only knock against the restaurant is that they can be inconsistent from meal to meal, but I will say that it is a staple in Naples and very much worth visiting for a happy hour or at any time for lunch or dinner. Convenient valet parking and good location on the water.
The Boathouse on Naples Bay offers a beautiful view of the bay and generous portions of fish and crab meat. However, both dishes came with broken sauces that detracted from the flavors. While I usually enjoy cocktails, the drink ratios seemed a bit off, which was disappointing. The atmosphere was lovely, but some improvements on the food and drinks would make the experience much better.
Mark was awesome in recommending entrees and preparations. They have a 49.00 per person 3 course meal, really a good deal. Seafood was great, loved my grouper. Negatives, salad was wilted , not fresh. Pina Colada needs pineapple juice. I thought the food was great and service was amazing, despite how busy it was. If not for the table of intoxicated women in the corner that yelled and cackled their way through dinner, inconsiderate and oblivious to the other diners around them trying to enjoy their evening forced to scream over their incessant babbling. Not the restaurants fault just an unfortunate annoyance. I loved the options of multiple preparations for fish dishes and settled on Cajun spices with lemon caper sauce. Highly recommend.
We just came for drinks. Great happy hour prices including Cosmo martini and beer. Bill was 11 dollars wow. Happy hour is from 230 to 530 the bar was full we sat on a high top table Hoping to come back to have dinner. We already had plans so next time. Menu looked good and our waitress service was good.
This is a very casual outdoor restaurant and bar that is on the bay frequented by visitors sailing up by boat. The crab cakes and sides were delicious and you can design your own Bloody Mary’s. The lobster role was a bit smaller than we are used to. We live in Florida so we were surprised at the prices being a bit higher than most dockside restaurants, but it’s Naples expect to pay more. The service was excellent.
In town for a girls weekend and wanted seafood. Our waiter Devante was great he gave us some food and drink suggestions, we were very pleased, and the view was great! To drink we had the peach and strawberry Rita’s (happy hour specials) and strawberry ocean fiz. The Rita’s were good but the ocean fiz tasted like flavored soda water so if you want something sweeter get the Rita’s. We ordered the fisherman’s platter, lobster mac & cheese, lobster scallop & Gulf Stream sautée, and the catch of the day grouper with mashed potatoes( absolutely a must try). All were very good!
Very nice waterfront bar/restaurant with great seafood. That said, my martini came in what looked like a water glass and a lime, with no olives like I asked for? The French dip was obviously their specialty as it came cold, but it was great Au jus. So overall, it was good but not outstanding. Orlando was a good server. VictorB
This is a classic, not lots of frills, seafood restaurant. We ate outside on the small deck with a nice view, but the constant hum of a machine was a little annoying. Overhead fans kept the air moving on this 85* night. The inside of the restaurant was energized but noisy. I had blackened grouper with caper lemon sauce. Didn’t see any capers in my little pitcher and the fish was too heavily blackened. The green beans were forgettable. My husband had some sort of seafood bounty with lobster and shellfish, part of a special….he was pretty happy. Orlando, our server, was very attentive and friendly.
We enjoyed our meal. Seated quickly, drinks came fast, oysters were great very extensive menu! The Caesar salad wasn’t very good but everything else was great. Very good value. We will come back.
You certainly can’t beat the Great Happy Hour! Nice selection of dinner entrees we chose the Lite Broiled Platter and the Grouper dinner. Both were good but could use a bit more seasoning. The views of the boats coming and going was nice to watch. Our server Esperanza was very good but had a lot of tables to attend to. Seems to be a place the locals hang out.
Such a cool place! You sit right over the water where they do dolphin tours, so there's a chance you could see some dolphins. Great menu, good portions, fresh food. Service was good for how busy they were
I love crab cakes so I was excited to order. I would say they were just ok. Probably not worth the price. The service was just ok as well. Neither bad or good. She was better later in the meal so not sure if she just had a bad customer or not. Others at my table lived their meals. If I was to ever come back I think I would stick with the shrimp or just a burger
Made reservations to celebrate my brother’s 80th. They sat us in the window but a high top, had mentioned about the dinner celebration but was no acknowledgment of his milestone. A small piece of tres leches was brought up only bc I told the server. Had the prime rib and surf and turf with lobster special. Good and service was good, hostess poor and non attentive.
This was a mixed bag for me. I enjoyed this place. Waitstaff was a bit off. I had to request a refill as the bill was coming. The sirloin steak was tough. Im not sure if they know how to make this cheaper cut tender. Im going to return because the menu was interesting. I spent more then anyone at my table. Maybe they will respect my gangsta on the next visit. I think I hit a miss because I didnt go for the Crab Benedict on their brunch menu. I will say this the chicken and waffles was tasty, not as good as Fancy's in Fort Myers but a definite 2nd. Still worth the visit.
Beautiful place to sit and enjoy a meal. Big glass windows so you can look out at the water from the comfort of AC. I went with a large party. The consensus was that the food was very good. Not the best meal any of us had ever had, but very good. A little pricey, as none of the plates included sides, but that’s Naples.

My dad really wanted to come here for his birthday. The service was really good and our waitress was super friendly and attentive. The food however, was not that good. My pancakes looked good but they were super hard!! Pancakes should be soft and fluffy - not hard. I also tried the calamari and it was just okay - I’ve had better. But sister and my dad did enjoy their meal though. The prices were reasonable.
Meh. I really liked the Crab Cake sandwich, its cheap and tasty. My wife ordered the Wharfside Salad, which had corn from a can (which tasted like water logged mush), the avocado looked like from a bag with strange colors, and fish dip tasted off. While the place clearly has good food and staff, this trip was a disappointment. Rockefeller oysters were decent!
This restaurant is very loud with televisions throughout, much like a sports bar. We had reservations but seating was an issue when we arrived and we were unable to see any water when we were seated. Our party of 4 had two different main course dinner salads, prime rib and a shrimp medley with dinner salads. Our server was efficient, but the food was nothing to rave about.
My wife and I each had a selection from the “sizzle” menu. My wife enjoyed her crab stuffed lobster. I had the surf and turf. My lobster tail was large and delicious. The steak, not so much. It did come out medium rare as requested. However, the meat was tough and not flavorful. Just not a quality cut of meat. We had our meal at the bar and as usual, the service was excellent. We will be back, but my steak was disappointing.
Food was good but service was a little lacking and or server had very little personality. Maybe he was having a bad day. We ordered dessert and were waiting for it for 15 minutes when we were informed they were out of the dessert we wanted. It was put on our bill and it took another 10 minutes to hunt down our server to have it taken off. Always a great view of the Naples Bay.
We went on a Saturday afternoon and sat outside. Our server was pleasant at the beginning. We ordered an appetizer that took 25 min to come out after ordering. Our food took another 25 min after that which isn’t necessarily the problem since the view was beautiful. The server never came back after we put in our order. We were never offered drink refills or even condiments like ketchup for fries and a burger. The table next to us gave us their ketchup and we went without water or additional drinks because we didn’t see her. When she did appear, she went to the table next to us and never looked our way when I was attempting to get her attention. We eventually asked the food runner to get our server for the check. Nice view and decent food, but spending over $100 for the lack of service was painful.
Great location and has valet parking otherwise parking would be a nightmare!! But probably the best view of the water by any restaurant down here. Got a table next to the water, places was not too busy mid day. Greeted right away by friendly and prompt service. We ordered right away because we were still on the clock for work. And this is where it all went wrong.. waited almost 50 minutes for our food and my steak was ordered medium rare but came medium well.. the server came over and offered a remake but I told her that we had to go and I would just eat it.. she said she would give me a discount. I’m like that fine. The manager came over 5 minutes later wanting to see the over cooked steak which I had eaten half. He like ohh see you ate the steak and I’m like yeah it’s my only chance at eating lunch.. anyways the “discount “ was 3 dollars off a 37 dollar steak.. I would like to come back and give it another go maybe when I have more time to wait..
Prices may seem reasonable but all sides are now Ala cart. server never checked regarding additional drinks or bread. Ceaser salad is not a real ceasar. I remember the Chart House. Bring back the c…

Waited 1 hour 45 minutes to get cold food. Terrible never going back!!! I did not want shrimp but could only substitute an item that was in the meal, so I ordered crab cake And they upcharged 15 dollars. My cold meal that was not even delicious was 62. That I almost waited 2 hours for. I forgot to add my sweet potato was a 4 dollar up charge that was the size of a golf ball. Never again!!!!!
Honestly this was our "First Time in Forever " 2nd time here and now we remember why we haven't come back in so long. Wait staff was inattentive and we couldn't even flag them down. Started with hair in the butter served to the table with bread. 1 appetizer came out amazing and scorching hot. Waiter actually came by after the first app was finished and asked if our other had come yet... nope not at all. He went back grabbed it from sitting in the kitchen and brought it to us luke warm. All entrees came out almost room temp. Sirloin was so tough and full of fat and tough conective tissue. Prime rib was ok but honestly lack luster. Drinks sat empty without even eye contact to wave our waiter down. Fries were barely cooked and partially raw. This whole ordeal lasted 2.5 hours. Definitely a waste of $200. This is not a 2-3 hour establishment. Probably great for drinks and a view though, location is great. Extremely disappointed. Manager was informed and was quite polite and helped as best he could.
So, this was a farewell dinner for our adult kids. We had 7:30 reservations. The Valet Parking was fine. There was only a high top table available and that was fine, as well. The drinks were watered down and one was wrong, but we just ordered another rather than exchange it. The new Vodka Cranberry was watery, as was my daughter-in-laws Margherita. We had to pay for ‘doubles’ in order for them to taste like a regular cocktail, and my son just changed to a beer. The House Salad was fresh, but the Lobster Bisque tasted like orange cornstarch soup. The Clams Casino were, frankly, gross. They were overcooked with hard chunks.I couldn’t give them away. My husband had lunch with a work associate last week and said it was decent, which is why we went for dinner. The Salmon was okay. $343 plus tip for 4 people later I told him it was my last time. It probably is great for a burger and a beer. The waterside seating is plus. The service was good and warranted the 2 star rating. Sorry to call it nothing more than a Tourist Trap.Hugely disappointing.
Stopped in for an appetizer & the bartender seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered & very unfriendly. The bacon scallops were way overcooked & pricey for three. The cheese sticks tasted like they were frozen from Walmart & cooked in an oven. They were not hot. We will not be returning.
We got there 10 mins in advance of our 6pm reservation and were told we had an outdoor reservation. I had called them a week ago Friday to ask for an indoor table. That wasn’t even the problem why we weren’t seated until 7:01pm. There were just too many people waiting on their reservations. Some were waiting longer than us. Once seated, we had a great waiter, Ramon, the food was good and came out quickly.
Visiting from out of state and stopped in for dinner. We were told that because we did not have reservations, the wait would be 30-40 minutes. After an hour, we decided to move on to another place. When I returned the beeper, I told the hostesses that I understood that reservations were a priority, but if would be an hour wait , just say so. I tried to be nice, but the young ladies just rolled their eyes. This is very rude and it is not welcoming. I am sure with all the restaurants in Naples, we will not bother to stop there again.
My wife and I made plans to visit the Bonita Springs, Naples area about 1 year ago. We were given a gift certificate to use for dinner at The Boat House. We visited the restaurant on February 12, for an early dinner at about 3 thirty on a sunny, warmer afternoon. We noticed upon arrival after being seated at a waterfront window table, that the decor was pleasing, with a great bay view. Our waiter couldn't have been nicer and more attentive to our wishes. Everything was extremely nice until we received our menu selections. My wife's Seafood lasagna was dry with it's top cheese hard. I ordered the fried seafood platter, hoping for a taste of fresh gulf seafood, but received a platter of over fried shrimp, grouper, scallops, calamari, Gator and clams. While it was edible, the enjoyment It should have brought was lacking. Possibly they were short staffed at that time in the afternoon, but regardless of the reason, it turned out to be a disappointment.
This is my third time this year coming to the boathouse at Naples Bay and probably my last. Everything about the experience was somewhat below average the place was packed and our server made it clear to us that he was very busy and had very little time for us. I ordered a Patron on the rocks with fresh lime juice and he let me know the bar doesn’t have fresh lime juice, but he would throw some extra limes on the glass for me to squeeze myself. You would think the bartender could just squeeze limes for me instead of me, messing with six limes at my dinner table in front of my guests. My friend was drinking Michelob ultras and the server just threw down a tall, empty glass and the bottle for him to pour himself. Then on the second round, he didn’t even bring a new fresh glass. He just threw down another bottle for him to reuse the same glass. These are all signs of a mediocre establishment. Finally, our dinner reservations were for 815 and we were finishing by 10 PM and they had no problem in cleaning the restaurant right around us. We were sitting at tables on the window level inside and they were running full vacuums in the upper area in the center. The boathouse on Naples Bay needs to realize that we have lots of options in season and out of season. This is all low end treatment with mid-level pricing.
Upon arriving, the hostess tried to put us 3 at a hightop (7:05PM) As a third generation Florida Native, this place is usually super consistent — that’s why I came here with guests. We politely asked for a regular low table. Our waitress grabbed a drink order, two 9oz wines and 1 water for our table. Then disappeared. About 35 minutes later we said “excuse me” to a younger brunette waitress in blue who alerted us that she wasn’t our waitress who was in black (7:35PM). A few minutes later our waitress appears and we order our entrees, and skip out on the mussels since we had to wait so long. A younger man delivers the food and one dish was so burnt you couldn’t bite into it. That dish had to be picked at as the waitress disappeared (scraped off the cheese and meat). Everybody finished their meals before she appeared again. When alerted she said “I will tell chef….discount”. Long story short $4.00 and change was taken off of a $150 bill. When she finally came back with a check, she was nowhere to be found to take our VISA card. We found her at a register station having a conversation with the tall tatted muscular male employee. (8:35PM) It was like I was bothering her to try to leave the restaurant and pay. The service was horrible and people like her don’t understand that you don’t do the least amount to get ahead. We should have sat at the bar or high top as the hostess advised. They want you to order drinks and entrees immediately so that they can go play in the kitchen or at the waitstaff stations. No management walking around. Dec. 17, Two Tuesdays before Christmas and this place was slow. Yes we have photos and the receipt. But recent reviews show that the manager will give a generic response. First time in our lives we have left a $2 tip. Generally leave a post-tax tip rounded up at 20% in cash. She was insulting which is what they must do in eastern-Europe.

The calamari was so over fried that you couldn’t stick a fork in it to eat it. Same with the alligator bites. However the bread was good and so were the conch fritters.
Very disapointed!!! Our waiter Ed was terrible. Drinks we ordered had to be sent back. Had to get the manager to step in. Really gone down hill from lat visit. Never will go again.
1st, no atmosphere at all but bad smells when u walk in. 2nd food is disgusting and not fresh at all, portions very small. 3. Service is very slow. 4. Price definitely not worth it. Long story short, don't go
YIKES will not be back. Happy hour apps - calamari disgusting like rubber, nachos are “make your own” which the menu doesn’t say, and they give you 6 chips. Small portions. Slow service. Only pro about this place is the location on the water, otherwise idk how they stay in business.
Buyer Beware ! We went to the Boathouse on Naples Bay last night for a cocktail and dinner. Given the time of year – the place was pretty empty. We made sure we got there in time to enjoy a Happy Hour beverage . . . as I have never been able to find value in a 200% overpriced drink that costs $1 - $2 to make. I do not mind spending good money on good food, but drinks . . . not so much. We’re retired and go out 2 or 3 times a week, but still watch our budget. The first thing we asked our bartender (Kimberly V) was what happy hour included. She showed us the happy hour list and the drink menu. We see ½ priced Martinis – and my wife asks can she have a Key Lime Martini and Kimberly says sure. . . and I said make it two. Right then and there a good server would let a patron know that the Key Lime Martini is NOT included in the 1/2 off happy hour martinis. She did not. Long story short – we get our bill and the 2 drinks were $28. Not the $7 each it should have been. She then tells me there was nothing she could do and got the manager. This young man (I didn’t get his name, but he wears his hair in a ‘librarians’ bun on top of his head) comes over. I explain I do not appreciate being misled by his staff or by the menu. He tells us he’s been in “the business” for 20 years and this is how it is. He was very confrontational, but finally offered 15% ($4) off our drinks ~ Not the point ! Enclosed pictures are from their menu - 1st pic is the Happy Hour, the 2nd is the drink menu ? ? ? * Ps . . . The food was good and in spite of being hoodwinked by this establishment, we still left slightly over a 20% tip.
It's just super duper overpriced. If you want a hamburger, you'll have by the French fry separately a dollar per fry and if you want ketchup, you'll have to take out a loan. And if you give one with a pickle, you must own a yacht
I dined at The Boathouse last night with a group of fourteen, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst meals I’ve had. Food I ordered the NY Strip Steak (listed at $45) cooked medium. What arrived was charred black on the outside, dry and chewy throughout—nothing like a juicy, tender steak cooked to order. My friends’ dishes were no better: Tasteless and a forgotten entree for one guest. Service Our server was slow. We had to flag down staff just to get water refills or the check. With a party our size, some attention is expected—yet we were left waiting for basic courtesies that never materialized. Ambiance The restaurant is uncomfortably loud, making conversation nearly impossible without shouting. Dark, blue-toned lighting. This was not worth it. Between the overcooked food, inattentive staff, and jarring atmosphere, I can’t recommend The Boathouse to anyone seeking quality or value. Save your money and look elsewhere.
Ordered the chicken nachos for an appetizer, slow coming out but they were delicious. Overall we waited over an hour and when our meals were finally delivered they were cold and had a crust on them, so had been sitting in the kitchen. The waitress said she’d been asking where they were so I don’t know what the issue was. Too bad, we were excited about the meals based on the appetizer but having cold clam chowder etc served to us was so unappetizing that we just left and went to our next activity.
We had a coupon for a free happy hour drink due to staying at Cove Inn next door. But the Boathouse hostess and 2 bartenders (sat at the bar) gave us huge attitude for using it and initially didn't even accept it until we spoke with the manager. They also never offered a food menu so we couldn't have ordered even if they did, or bothered to look in our direction instead of ignoring us for almost an hour.
We had a 6:15 reservation and were told it would be about a 15-minute wait, which we were more than happy to accommodate. After those fifteen minutes passed, one of the hosts announced that the kitchen was backed up, food orders had been paused, and it would now be an additional 45 minutes before we could be seated. What followed was complete chaos, with two hosts trying to manage frustrated patrons and answer questions without any visible support. I understand that restaurants get busy and occasional delays happen. However, it is baffling that a business of this caliber became so overwhelmed that guests with reservations were asked to leave or wait nearly an hour with no clear timeline. It was especially disappointing that a manager did not come out to address the situation directly. Instead, the hosts were left to handle an understandably difficult and escalating situation on their own. This is the busiest time of year, and reservations are extremely hard to secure. For such a popular restaurant, it is unacceptable to treat reservations as optional and expect guests to either cancel or wait indefinitely. The lack of organization and communication significantly detracted from what should have been a positive dining experience.
A very expensive disappointment! Even with the nice view, this spot was a total disappointment. The outdated interior combined with super-slow service and bad food was definitely a bummer. Our party of nine was very patience but ultimately waited at least one hour to receive our food and it was so far below average. The bill for four people for lunch was $170 without tip and in total, we spent almost two hours there. I'm sure Naples has great spots on the water but I promise this is NOT the one you want!
Me and my family went to this restaurant during on vacation break. We thought we would get a nice lunch by the ocean. after. The first thing to know is do not sit outside!!! The bugs outside and will eat your meal for you. During your stay you are paranoid and stuck in one position so the bugs will not see you. We also had such bad service with us not getting our drinks in the first 20 minutes we sat down. Sadly we decided to get appetizers which took 30 minutes to come out. We got nachos which were made with temu Tostitos and the bugs ate them for us. Our entrees came a while after and we thought of getting them to go so we could escape. The bugs kept attacking even after us killing 30 of them. Of course our waiter had no idea what he was doing. The only thing that I was half satisfied with was my chicken wings. Please do not come but if I do sit at the bar
Had a terrible experience for the second time at this restaurant. We thought we would give it another chance. Stopped in for happy hour with the thoughts of having dinner. We sat at the bar. Drinks were good. The bartender was very unfriendly almost bordering rude. The bar was sticky and appeared dirty. We ordered three appetizers. Two were mediocre at best and the third had to be sent back twice and came back inedible. Yes, the views are nice but not nice enough to compensate for the terrible food and service. We did not stay for dinner. Skip this one!
Very bad experience on 2/15/26 (Sun). Outdoor patio reservations for 1:30pm. Two friends arrived at 1pm, checked in and received a pager. Others arrived at 1:20pm and had a drink at the bar. At 2pm, we asked a hostess about the table, she said it was being cleaned up. At 2:30pm, we inquired again and two hostesses were confused and said our reservation disappeared didn't show on her device. I showed her my confirm on my phone. Took a high top inside by the waitress' station. Ordered food and we received our food 45 minutes later at 3:30pm. The brazilian lobster was overdone. There was something wrong in the kitchen that day. We never received an explanation. Waiter apologized to us as we left after eating. Too bad, as previous experiences were good.
We arrive for a 7:15 dinner reservation and was told by the hostesses that we could have a waterfront table if we waited 15 minutes that sounded great 15 minutes became an hour and we ended up with a small table that was really a table for four and there were six of us but we took it because we were starving. The two hostesses were not honest with us every time we went up to check they said 15 minutes more 15 minutes more and it never happened . We were seated at same table .. crowded. The waitress was very nice and felt bad about how we had been treated. She bought us drinks and we were drinking them when she came back and said we ran out of gas so we can't cook your food. They are bringing griddles in and if you wait another hour, you can have your food. We drank our drinks and left. Of course we were not charged for the drinks. The waitress gave us coupons in case we wanted to give the Boathouse another chance.... I don't think so. We never even had a taste of the food so I can't judge that, but it was a horrible experience. The hostesses should've been upfront with us and we would've taken another table right away.been served our food and then on our merry way, so we left and went to another restaurant where we were treated and respected. No more visits to the Boathouse for this family!
