Been to this place twice food is always amazing but today Maria made the experience 10x times better. She was nice, patient, and very kinda.
Very adult atmosphere and we could hear each other talk. We were there for brunch. I recommend!
We had great food and great service here during our stay. In particular Tiffany was amazing, very helpful, polite and pleasant and went above and beyond to help us and make us feel welcome during our stay. Can’t thank her enough
Stayed at the Shelburne and decided to try Take Care one rainy night as the Nor'easter rolled through. Really enjoyed the food and drinks. Enjoyed chatting with Isabella about the city and met a few colorful characters at the bar. Highly recommended!
Everything was incredible! Joel and Tomas brought excellent service and the drinks Laura made were so delicious! Special shout out to Demetri and Raul as well! 5 stars!!!
Get the tomato soup. It is truly the best I’ve ever had. It comes with a grilled cheese too, which is also really good. It’s not made with American cheese but it has that childhood nostalgic taste, along with the most rich and flavorful tomato soup.
I had a great time. I went with a friend and we had a good time. Maria was our server and she was great and very attentive and took great care of us.
Great costumer service, atmosphere, location and Tiffany the manager is on top of things my favorite server Tomas is the best. . Must have their Brussel sprouts to start!! Everything else is just delicious!!
I go to Take Care all the time for breakfast when I’m in the city from London it’s one of my favorite spots. I always get the Eggs Any Style with grilled tomato, avocado, and sourdough toast and I usually add the bourbon pepper bacon or chicken apple sausage. The food is fresh, perfectly cooked, and always hits the spot. The service is great, the vibe is relaxed, and it’s the perfect way to start the day in NYC.
We came in for a drink and were met by Fabio who was so friendly. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. Would come back!
I met my daughter, her best friend, Jamie and Jamie’s mom for brunch. We had a perfect table. We were able to talk. I’ll definitely be back.
Just found this restaurant and love it! Had the omelette and chicken sausage. Delicious and so much food I couldn’t finish. Great atmosphere- Tiffany was so friendly and helpful.
I had a lovely time at Take Care! Our server Luke was incredibly kind and helpful and the spinach artichoke dip was DELICIOUS. I’ll definitely be back soon!
Sergio and Luke were exceptional. Thoughtful, attentive without hovering, and clearly passionate about what they do. Their recommendations were spot-on and made the meal genuinely memorable
We stayed at the hotel, went to the cafe once for breakfast and once for dinner. The service was not bad, with minor drawbacks, for example, at breakfast the waitress passed us many times and never offered to refill our coffee, but as soon as we decided to leave, she offered more coffee 🤷🏼♀️ I think the prices are a little high, at dinner 20 % of the tip is already included in the bill. The food was quite tasty, the shrimp in salad were a little too salty, but this was fully compensated for by the greens in the salad, the coffee was very sour (but this is just not for everyone).
Enjoyed happy hour at Take Care, attached to our hotel. A quiet oasis after a full day in the city. Enjoyed the wild mushroom flatbread and parm fries with our drinks. A welcome relaxing time with great service.
This place is amazing - the staff is incredible, the food was delicious (I had a beautiful breakfast platter with eggs, crispy bacon, and delicious sourdough toast), and the vibe and decor are so nice and cozy - this is a great spot to start your day even if you’re not staying at the hotel. I’m looking forward to coming back to try their cocktails and evening menu!
Such a great place! The manager, Tiffany, checked in on us throughout our entire experience and the cocktails were awesome! Get the Cosmo or Espresso martini!
The service was excellent, the food was savory and delicious, and the atmosphere was nostalgic, clean, and elegant. Our server, Tomas, was friendly and attentive to our needs. He even went the extra mile by suggesting additional menu options to ensure our satisfaction. I will definitely be returning. Thank you, everyone!
Can’t say better things about Take Care Bistro. The food and service exceeded my expectations, and the atmosphere was amazing - especially around the holidays. This place is a must stop on your list , for sure!
Wonderful experience. Fantastic atmosphere and great service. The manager Tiffany was very welcoming. Highly recommend!
These guys and this place is amazing! They made a huge effort to make us something that was off menu. Staff were so friendly. Food was delicious as were the cocktails, and the atmosphere was relaxed and beautifully ambient (in a classy but casual way!). Don’t think twice and get on over here!
Lovely people who run this establishment. We ate here on NYE, and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food and service was, and the authentic care that the staff overall displayed. A refreshing change after the hustle and bustle of NYC at a crazy time of year. If you are looking for a place to have a conversation and take a bit of a step back from the insanity - this is it!
I had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Take Care Bistro. From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and attentive staff set the tone for the evening. The menu offered a perfect balance of traditional Italian favorites and creative seasonal specials.Service was prompt yet relaxed, making the whole experience feel effortless. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just craving authentic comfort food, this restaurant is a gem worth visiting. Big thanks again to Tim Ryan & staff !!!
Made Mother’s Day reservations for 12:30pm. We were a party of 10. Arrived way earlier and we had no problem waiting but the hostess and manager were kind enough to seat us earlier. The restaurant has a very laid back style. We chose the restaurant because it had a children’s menu which the children loved but everything we ordered from the hummus to the breakfast burrito were great. A big plus was the hospitality from staff. Kevin who was the manager there came over and we had a great conversation. Very friendly and welcoming staff which is always nice to see when going to restaurants with small children. Will definitely be returning.
Luke was so sweet! Soup & sandwich combo was delicious. Even managers were coming around to make sure we were doing alright. Also, love the individual payment option for a big group. Great time!
Great experience! The food is amazing and the staff is very kind. Tiffany is amazing and helped us find other places in the city to visit. Very hospitable! We will be eating here again many times on our trip!
I went with my fiancée and friends to dinner here and absolutely loved the vibe and food. Maria was our server and was so sweet , helpful, and attentive. The food and service were great!
Dropped in for a quick drink and ended up staying for food ’cause we liked it so much. Staff were lovely — big thanks to Tiffany for looking after us so well! She even showed us the rooftop terrace. Hope you enjoy the shows and films we recommended, Tiffany! Deadly spot, we’ll definitely be back. 🍻
Super cutie spot. Spacious and the happy hour flatbreads were fantastic. Our server Isabella went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Love her down 🫶🏿
Came Here day after Thanksgiving Looking to eat for seafood Not sure if this is the right place for seafood To start we had French onion soup & Caesar salad then Salmon & Fish & chips and finished with chocolate brownie Everything was sooo amazingly delicious Not oily at all esp the Fish & chips as well as the soup with cheese The salmon was flaky and the salad What a gem! A MUST TRY!!! Definitely coming back for burgers 😋
We attended a pre-marathon dinner with a small group this last Saturday, we had a great time. The atmosphere was great and the food service was exceptional. Our server Luke could not have been more attentive. I highly recommend checking them out.
Tiffany is a great manager with approachable and friendly professionalism! We love the food too and the services were outstanding. This visit from Taiwan is totally worth it because of Take Care Bistro. Love it!
I had an exceptional experience at Take Care bistro that I simply have to share! From the moment I walked in, the warm, cozy atmosphere enveloped me. The soft lighting, modern decor, and intimate setting created a perfect ambiance for a relaxing meal. Daniela (the manager), Cesar, Christopher and Isabella were incredibly friendly and attentive, greeting me with a smile and offering great recommendations. The portions are generous, and every bite was perfection. The flavors were delicate but complex, with just the right balance of savory and subtle sweetness. For dessert, I couldn’t resist trying the chocolate chip, which was smooth and had that perfect crispy caramelized top. The dessert was just the right end to an unforgettable meal. What stood out to me the most, though, was the overall attention to detail — from the quality of the food to the atmosphere and service, everything was thoughtfully crafted to provide a delightful experience. It’s rare to find a place that truly hits all the marks, and this bistro did just that. I’ll definitely be returning soon!
Fabio and his team at this fantastic and great venue went above and beyond to ensure my party was a resounding success. The food was simply incredible, and I definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience. Thanks Fabio once again!!
EXCELLENT!! My husband and I fell into this restaurant as we wanted somewhere local and new to try. The food blew our minds, it was better than places we have trekked to in NYC. I cannot wait to come back and try the entire menu!!
Tiffany has a great staff who were very attentive and helpful. Priority was to eat so I could get out quickly to make it to events and they always focused on that pace without sacrificing quality. Croissant sandwich, breakfast burrito and the waffle was all part of my order throughout the weekend. Looking forward to coming back to stay at the Sonesta.
Tomas was very attentive and caring!! When my husband jokingly asked for more bacon jam to take home (he got the double bacon burger), Tomas asked if he would like some to-go! Service and food were impeccable.
Stopped in for lunch on a whim after staying at the attached hotel. Couldn’t be happier! The spiced carrot hummus was delicious with chickpeas, sprouts and a bright, tasty za’atar, and my son loved the tomato soup and grilled cheese. The staff was attentive and welcoming. Wish we could have stopped in before our last day in town!
My family and I went here tonight, and it was fantastic from start to finish. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, and everything we tried was great, but the standout was definitely the pork chop—perfectly cooked and tons of flavor. The cocktails were also on point. Worth noting- they have a kids menu with crayons and all that jazz, so it’s definitely kid friendly.
This place looks like a VERY NICE hotel breakfast place, but with very good service and food. I had the Flatbread pizza for appetizer and the Avocado toast for main, with the banana bread for dessert. On a Sunday 130pm, the place was not packed like most brunch places, I'd come back here ANY TIME
Second time back and I brought some friends for brunch. Had a great Bloody Mary and the breakfast burrito. My friends had the French dip wow that was good too. The service was great even though it was a bit busy (I heard Santa was there but we missed him) Our server (Oscar maybe?!) was gracious and attentive and made sure we always had fresh coffee. Take Care is becoming my go to spot!
My daughter and I had brunch today at Take Care for the first time. From the door to the table and all through our meal our experience was awesome. Food and drinks were great, our server could not have been better and the manager came over to speak with is, offering to show us the fabulous rooftop with amazing views of the City. What a great day!
WOW WOW WOW!!! I’ll cut to the chase and say this is a must try restaurant in Murray Hill. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was inviting and casual. The food? Absolutely phenomenal! Each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The staff was attentive and friendly, making our evening even more enjoyable. I can't recommend this place enough. Five stars all the way! Needless to say, we’ll definitely be making this our go-to spot. Pro tip: Get the burger. 🍔 I’ll be as bold to say it’s the best burger I have had in NYC.
This is one of my neighborhood favs in Murray Hill. I live next door and I'm here once per week. The staff is always super attentive and the food is consistently yummy. It's also one of those rare place in NYC where you can actually have a conversation with your fellow diners. The room has great acoustics and cozy vibes with lots of plants.
Stayed at the Shelburne Sonesta New York and loved having Take Care Bistro right downstairs. The espresso martinis were excellent, and the French onion soup, tomato soup, B.A.L.T. sandwich, and chicken sandwich were all delicious. Great service and fun music — such an easy, memorable dinner spot!
Their customer service is so amazing here, they check up on you around every 5 minutes about if you need any stuff. the staff are very patient and respectful to the customers here. lastly, the food is very amazing here i wish i can give it as much stars as possible. the menu is straightforward but i wish they had pictures to show exactly what the customer is ordering. other than that, this place is wonderful which is why i gave it 5 stars.
The Atmosphere was great. The staff couldn't of been any more helpful, they where all very polite and professional. The food was amazing. Tiffany the manager was always a bundle of joy 😊
Stopped by for a quick lunch and got the tuna poke. Wasn’t expecting anything mind blowing but way better than I expected. Super fresh, tons of flavor, and good portion. The decor is simple annd classy but really the service was the best. The whole team was happy annd welcoming and just on it. The manager Tiffany stopped by to check on me and suggested extra sauce if I like spice (I did. it was perfect). Wish I could give 10 stars.
What a beautiful cozy and gorgeous restaurant! Our server Isabella was very attentive. The food came out so fast and it tasted so good. The manager Camila was so lovely as well, my mother in law loved her charismatic personality! Additionally, we heard about the rooftop and we will be making reservations in the near future.
Tiffany was amazing! So attentive. The bartender Sergio was very friendly and customized drinks on request. Great spot to meet up with friends and also a great spot for company offsite. Very cool roof bar too. Great vibe. Great neighborhood spot and also a great spot close to transportation. We will be back!
I found this spot when I was home visiting family. The staff was pleasant and offered great suggestions when we were having difficulties deciding. We went with The breakfast Sammy and Turkish eggs, both very tasty. They also offer fresh pressed juices, this seals the deal for me when choosing a breakfast spot. Highly recommend.
All 4 of us loved our meals. The wait staff was great. It was very energetic, a little too much for our taste, but when we asked, the waiter was able to turn off the music in the speaker at our table without anyone else being affected. A+
We stayed at the Shelborne hotel on Lexington Ave in NYC. It was during the snowstorm. The night before we had tremendous joy to meet and talk with Yoyo Blumenthal on the . . rooftop- Vintage Green He made our experience extra special. Also the day of the blizzard itself Tiffany Kennedy hosted us in the breakfast restaurant, and was so wonderful, and caring. All our questions were answered son pleasantly and she was most accommodating to our needs. Thank you for great hospitality. Definitely worth coming back to see and engage with Tiffany and Yoyo.
This restaurant is fantastic. My wife and I went for brunch and got the breakfast burrito and the caesar wrap and both were delicious. All of the food that was coming out next to us looked amazing. Tiffany, the manager, was also so nice and accommodating. Highly recommend.
I went to this restaurant with a friend and had a great experience. The food was very good, and the portions were incredibly generous — so much so that I ended up taking a to-go bag, which honestly feels rare in New York, especially considering I ordered a poke with fish. The prices felt more than fair for both the quality and the quantity. The place works perfectly for a date, a family meal, or even eating on your own. What really stood out was the service. The staff was extremely kind and attentive. There was a small issue with one of our appetizers, and they remade it twice. They even came back to ask if we still wanted it — and didn’t charge us for it at all. That level of care really made the experience stand out. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend.
Hardcore 5/5 TRULY! Came here for lunch and WHOA, little did we know this place would be so finger licking good. It's super cute inside and decorated beautifully. Ordered an Espresso Martini which was really smooth and tasty. I ate the Miso Salmon, OH MA GAWD! It was delicious. I ordered it medium well and lightly charred, YUM! The sauce and bok choy were so good, really brought everything together. By the time the waiter came back to check on us I practically inhaled my dish lol. Looking forward to coming back and trying something else. The service was wonderful, our server was attentive, friendly and helpful. The manager Tiffany was a delight, so personable and easy to talk to, so sweet. They also have a rooftop with 360 views of midtown! <3
Amazing experience at Take Care! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything we ordered exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to Sergio, our server, who provided outstanding service—friendly, attentive, and always making sure we were comfortable and taken care of. His professionalism and great attitude truly made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place for both the incredible food and excellent service. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Whether you are staying at The Shelburne, or shopping along Lexington Ave, this restaurant is the perfect vibe for any party size. My sister and I dined here on Friday night and absolutely loved everything- from the Buffalo chicken dip, mac and cheese, and burgers. Service is excellent (ask for Oscar), ambiance beautiful and we had access to the rooftop!
Best bistro in NYC, it truly compares to the bistros in France. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the food is exceptional. Our waiter Joel was friendly and attentive, the manager Fabio made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend the burger and fries perfect medium rare well seared and middle coloring was precise, the fries and bacon were so crispy. Can’t wait to come back! 🍷🍔
The staff - from the lovely manager, to the bartender, to the server and the support staff were extremely hospitable and also prompt. The food was delicious and served timely (while warm, which doesn’t always happen at other spots). Loved the waffles and the eggs were delicious. Drinks - yummmm
After a long day out at Coney Island we were tired and didn't want to go too far from our hotel for dinner, so we decided we'd try the 'Take Care Bistro' at the hotel. The hotel receptionist said we didn't need to make a reservation so after a shower & change of clothes we went down into the restaurant, were immediately shown to a table and I was pleasantly surprised by the sophisticated decor and how atmospheric, inviting & cosy the restaurant was with dimmed lights and a small lighted candle on each table. We ordered the spiced carrot humus with grilled pitta breads to share as a starter, which was very light & tasty and was a great start to our meal. My wife had the BALT (bourbon pepper bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato) sandwich with a side of salad and a glass of Coney Island draft beer. The delicious, unique, smokey & hickory taste of the bourbon pepper bacon really elevated the sandwich to be the best BLT sandwich my wife has eaten. The tangy & peppery pickled vegetables in the salad also elevated it to a great tasty salad. I had the chicken snitzel with parsley butter & fries, which was a fabulous meal. The rich parsley butter combined with tangy lemon juice worked so well, soaked into the tender & moist fried breaded chicken. We didn't have any desert as we were full and the total bill of $80 was very good value for a fabulous meal served by our welcoming, friendly & efficient waiter in a delightful setting.
I had the spaghetti and meatballs and it was absolutely amazing! The dish was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. My server, Luke, made the experience even better, he was knowledgeable, kind, and had a great sense of humor. He truly made me feel welcome. I will definitely be coming back!
I love this place!! I had the Take Care Burger and it was amazing - juicy and delicious. Fries were served hot and perfectly seasoned. The cafe is quite unique for New York in that it is a modern twist on the old American diner with very European influenced decor. Staff are attentive and friendly - Oscar was great and looked after me well. You’ll like it -10/10.
Loved the environment. Staff was very friendly. Dinner was delicious, although they brought two orders of tots instead of one tot and one fry. But no reason to complain about that. Would cone back again
Incredible experience if you’re looking for an aesthetically pleasing , low lit , laid back place to eat. Food was phenomenal and there was no wait time. Straight to business! The staff was attentive and stays close.
Did not realize that this restaurant was connected to the hotel. We were passing by and found the restaurant opened. This was one of few that were open. Did not know most of the shops and restaurants close on 4th of July in NY. Pretty quite place. Nothing special. Thai Green Coconut Curry was ok. It's was different. Chicken Ceasar Wrap was better.
Surprised how good the reviews are here. Food was just okay, and very pricey for what it was. Service was slow, we had to ask just to have our water refilled multiple times
Food was very good. Lix was delightful: friendly and professional. Over a 10 day hotel stay we ate there 4 times Lix was the only server who appeared to enjoy her job. On one occasion I talked to Fabio about the lackluster guest service. He was gracious and receptive to my comments
I had a horrible experience here. First and last time ever ordering from this place. I called to ask for them to put the parsley butter on the side. I was assured on the phone and on voicemail that it would be on the side. I walk there and come home to see parsley butter on my food. Unacceptable. Only offered to make it again and have me walk back after 20 minutes to get it. So here I am 40 minutes later, no food, empty stomach, inconvenienced and annoyed and out $30. Now I have to order all over again from another restaurant. 🤦♂️
My family of 5 had reservations today for 12:15 for brunch. We ordered food and coffee, my latte that was supposed to be hot came with cold milk and then it was remade. 45 minutes after we ordered our food, a family that came in after us, ate their food and just paid. As a prior server, I'm fairly confident I saw the moment the server looked at our table, realized he forgot to input our food, and got it in the computer in a super stressed way. The server came over right after and we were told it would be just a few minutes. About 30 minutes later, still didn't have our food so we asked the manager. He said it would be coming right up. Right after that, the server offered his apologies that the kitchen was taking so long and said dessert would be on the house. We declined as we had ordered pancakes and waffles and said as much. I asked what happened and he said the kitchen was behind...I knew he was lying, and tbh had poor integrity for not owning up what happened. I asked for a discount at that point. The service had been horribly slow, inattentive, and honestly frustrating. 25% off later and I'm still sitting here with my credit card on the bill waiting for the server to grab it and run it. Ended up taking it to the bar to have it ran since the server was nowhere to be seen. Good thing we spent 2 hours in this restaurant instead of spending time exploring NYC.
