The foods are great, especially the scallops, very tender and not fishy at all, pretty well seasoned. 😋 the skirt steak is pretty good too, not chewy at all , very soft( I also like the mashed potato under the steak, quite creamy). Their tiramisu is also quite light creamy, but the portion is like for two. The only thing I'm a little disappointed is the table are too close to each other, if you have a jacket or a bag that's hanging on the chair, when people pass by it will keep falling because that's how tight the spaces are 😕
Food looked and tasted great, but quantity was less than desired so should order more. Pro tip: Ask for free bread with olive oil which tasted good to share. Service was very frequent and great. We had a good time, but eventually were politely asked to leave due to time/space constraints for other customers. We ordered 3 glasses of wine, several seafood agnolotti’s, tagliatelle, …see pictures. Then the desserts were really good: Hazelnut Torta, Tiramisu. Monte Bianco not so good. Gratuity auto included due to number of ppl which came out to about $87/pp
On a chain of trips to taste Italian and here I am doing an Italian brunch on Sunday. First of all, lots and lots of sunlight shining through the glass walls during my brunch. Visually very pleasing. We got the lemon ricotta pancake that is so instagrammable and it lives up to its fame!!! Honestly I wasn’t sure what to expect initially but I ended up being super surprised by the quality. Make sure you do reservations on WEEKENDS for pancakes. They are not on the regular lunch menu. The pancakes are jiggly, soft, eggy (in an appetizing way), and have a nice bit of crust on the outside. They are topped with maple crema (which melts when heated) and soft cinnamon apples, perfect for a windy morning. These pancakes remind me of soufflé due to their cloudy, melt-in-the-mouth texture. We liked to pair savory with sweet (because who doesn’t lol). So we had farmer’s pizza with two sunny side up eggs on top (to avoid the fight for sharing egg yolks). We asked our server to see if chef would be okay of adding one more egg on the pizza and we are happily accommodated. The pizza dough is got a nice crust with char at the exterior. Cheese was still melting when it came, and the sausage and the mushroom on there are quite umani. It meets the expectations of a good pizza, but not like exceptional. (Also not sure if authentic Italian people would be okay with having sunny side up eggs on pizza, but I am biased on yummy oozing yolks). So, I would recommend ricotta pancake as your priority brunch item. Their gelato flavors were also interesting: the stracciatella flavor I have never seen in my life and have no idea how it tastes. I, however, wasn’t able to taste due to a stuffed stomach (only if I knew ahead of time, regrets) but maybe others can save the space ahead of the time to try the gelatos.
As we walked by this restaurant, its exterior was remarkably appealing, catching our attention immediately. Intrigued, we decided to give it a try, and we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. The ambiance inside was charming, and the staff were not only friendly but also very attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. I highly recommend adding this restaurant to your list of places to visit while in New York. With its inviting atmosphere, delightful cuisine, and top-notch service, it's sure to leave a lasting impression on anyone who dines there.
We had no plans to dine here, we were starving and the Buratta sounded delicious so we stopped in to grab an appetizer and ended up ordering dinner, and it was the best gluten free pizza in the whole city. It was busy, a Thursday night at about 7 and they got us in and at a table with no wait. Our food came super fast and it was so delicious! My partner who usually isn't a fan of gluten free was super impressed with their pizzas (which is extremely difficult to do he has his own Pizza reviewing hobby) all in all it was a great experience. We were packed in like sardines but it's NY so I would expect nothing less.
The pizza here is delish - napolitano style, fire roasted pizza. We had the margherita, white mushroom, and Il Frencese. The appetizers were good too. Also, the cocktails were delicious. We came here based on where we are in the area, just looking for good food - and we found it. We selected this place because of the good/high reviews and this met our expectations. It’s not NY-style pizza but still delish. I recommend.
This was a really lovely restaurant! The pipe rigate and pizza were delicious. The overall ambiance and service was great. I’m glad I chose this spot to eat at, after a show with my family. They loved it! I would definitely go back.
Came for a bite and a drink outside. The whisky drink was amazing but I was definitely buzzed by the end from just one! Next time I will try frosé for 2pm😂 had the spaghettini which was tasty and wasn’t too heavy. Service was great from the host stand all the way to my server Iris who was so sweet!
Very often you are purposeful in selecting a restaurant to visit, but on occasion you stumble across a pleasant surprise. L’Amico happened to be just that, while on a recent visit to NYC. Being summer, the open Al fresco / indoor seating arrangement had a very inviting feel when I was walking by, and I sauntered in. This place is a great blend of causal but fine American-Italian cuisine. Ushered by a very friendly and attentive maitre d the day of my visit, I sat outside soaking in the frenetic pace of 6th Ave (Ave of the Americas). Shanique who served my table was very gregarious, and had great suggestions. I settled for a late brunch and had the Cotechino hash with poached eggs, which comes with a copious serving of baby kale and a very flavorful San Marzano hollandaise sauce. The portion was perfect and complemented by some wheat toast, it made for a very sumptuous meal. Being one of two restaurants connected to the swanky Eventi Hotel, one has the option to drop into the luxurious surroundings next door featuring a high end cocktail bar with vibrant decor. I could not have been more pleased with my experience, especially since I came with no expectations, but left with a very high one.
We made a reservation and greatly enjoyed our experience. All of the food was made to perfection. We had pizza, truffle pasta, roasted chicken. The passionfruit with Italian meringue was to die for! Jake was our server. Nice and attentive, with good recommendations. The table assistants kept our glasses filled with water and the tablescape was always tidy and well maintained.
Visited L’Amico | Italian Restaurant in New York and absolutely loved it. The place has a great vibe — elegant, cozy, and perfect for a nice meal. The ambience was excellent and the food was genuinely outstanding. Every bite felt premium and authentic. Definitely one of the best Italian dining experiences I’ve had in NYC. Will surely visit again!
A very lively and friendly atmosphere, very fast, attentive, and friendly service, and the food was simple and delicious (my braised chicken was perfect and tasty!). A great Italian dining experience in Chelsea. Afterwards, I took the opportunity to finish my latest book, Honesty Bar, (bought in English on Amazon, also available in French), a great thriller without violence for the whole family that takes us to the four corners of the world with a great suspense! I will come back in this restaurant!
This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time! I've been dining here for the last 10 years. Every time I dine, I experience consistently delicious and decadent food; the spirits are generous and delightful. The Staff is very customer service focused; you never have to ask for anything as they're always paying attention to the dining floor. One is greeted with a smile upon arrival. Dining is a little pricier but worth every penny. On this occasion I had Jake as my server and he was incredibly kind, friendly and provided excellent service. I HIGHLY recommend the restaurant.
Great casual lunch spot with a relaxing atmosphere. Was on my way to another restaurant but got drawn to this place after seeing a lot of seats on their patio. Even without a reservation, I was able to grab a large table on the patio right before their peak lunch time. As expected from a hotel restaurant, everything came with an impeccable presentation and the food was good overall. For the appetizer, I got the daily special steak tartare, and the horseradish sauce, caper garnish, and some potato crisps were nice. Meat quality wasn’t the best, but it was still a good pairing with the cocktail I ordered. The blackened scallops had an interesting interplay with the poached white asparagus and the green peas which really enhanced its flavor. Service was also great overall, and the servers were very attentive and helpful.
11/16/25 Just finished a delicious and perfect lunch at L’Amico w “friends” as the name of the restaurant translates into Italian. Had the best time. Relaxed, upbeat, and clean Osteria ambience. Great lunch variety, delicious drinks, apps, pizzas, entrees, and unforgettable dessert. The place deserves recognition. They delivered superbly.” Grazie a mille !! “ CD
This is a review based on our experience and the service. Note: the food was good. We are staying in the hotel this week and had to last minute grab food here. Im talking 9:50pm, but in our defense the door does say dinner till 10:30 not 10. Our server was nice at first but we could tell he was trying to get outta there. After we got our food our server left us high and dry. It was so long, infact we definitely could have just dippset without paying and no one would have known. Left us SO DRY, He could have at LEAST filled our waters before leaving us. Although he had no trouble topping off the 3 glasses of wine the girls next to us were having. We waited SO LONG the BUSSboy refilled our water. And when we were definitely ready to pay had to ask the same bussboy for our check. Nothing. Waited some more. Then we finally just went to the host and asked for our check and MAGICALLY our waiter returned from the back as we were leaving. Weird experience. He was probably pooping. Anyway, even though we came last minute, we definitely weren't the last ones in there. Customer service 3/10 that night.
Location, food, ambience and service all are fantastic. Appetizers were excellent as compared to main entrees. We had vegetarian guests in the party and they had good options for them like raviolis in main and lots of appetizers. Most of the Appetizers were very good as compared to the mains - must try Bruschetta with fresh cut figs was excellent, burrata also very fresh in taste plus the presentation was beautiful! Yellow tail was excellent with a clear tangy lemon like sauce, salad was regular nothing special but good and fresh. Main entrees were good but we didn’t like as much. The whole fish Bronzino was grilled crisp with skin on and head off but the sauce was a lot like a soup and watery not possible to eat without asking for spoon as it was the consistency of a thin soup but don’t get me wrong very delicious more on the tangy side. No side at all - no veggies, no starch nothing comes with the fish. Ravioli entrees were smaller portions and not impressive, we ordered it as it was one of the few choices for vegetarian entrees. Other seafood mix entree was a mix of seafood with lobster meat in white sauce and not that impressive as well for the price. No side in any entrees other than chicken. Chicken entree was the best: made to perfection and served with broccolini with a side of starch - great job. All entrees were smaller portions and ranged from $35 to $45 (seafood on the $40+ price range) (with zero side no presentation, no vegetables no starch nothing on the side). Unimpressed. Desserts amazingly nice large portions! Shareable definitely with beautiful presentation.
