In a word: Amazing. I'm a huge fan of jerk chicken, and theirs is absolute perfection. I haven't had anything other than the jerk chicken, with rice and beans, and some salad, but it's everything you expected to find. Their sauces are fantastic, and the chicken is perfectly spiced, juicy, and absolutely wonderful. Check it out - you won't be disappointed.

Excellent takeout restaurant for jamaican food. Food is always fresh. It’s always a short wait. Best during the day, they sometimes will run out of popular dishes by end of day. Great jerk chicken, curry goat, oxtail. You really can’t go wrong here for takeout. The prices are very reasonable. It’s right next to the subway, newkirk Avenue stop and parking is often available on the street.

I had food catered for my granddaughter 3rd birthday party and let me tell you it was delicious. Everybody loved the food asked where did I get it from. Thank you to the staff who was so welcoming and helpful. God bless the cook. I will return for my next event. Thank you

One of my favorite spots, the Jerk chicken is absolutely amazing. Everything else is good but im usually here for just that, it does get crowded in here from time to time but the lines move unusually quick.

Spicy goodness. If you get the large sizes, you can share with someone. The portions are very generous.

Not as good as their other location because it’s older looking and not as bright but the jerk chicken, peas and rice and oxtail gravy were all great. Cabbage was way over cooked though. Rounded up from 3.5 stars because the other stuff was all above average.

I find the entire staff especially the women have a serious attitude....I don't know if they're over worked, not getting f*^ked or what.....I observed a male customer seemingly intimidated by the attitude of 1 of the servers when clarifying his order about wanting some cabbage on his jerk chicken....yes the food is good but the attitudes suck !!! I say be grateful for the customer base that keeps you in the money because although you may play gospel music and may go to church on sunday, if your attitude sucks and you're not grateful to your customer base, that money can blow away like dust in the wind, I will defintely spread the word about them !

The food is terrific however it's a hit or miss sometimes you get a large portion and sometimes you get a substantially small portion. It's a gamble.

I've been going here for years and always try to be nice to the cashier as I place my order but she always has the most nastiest attitude ever. She has a brown complexion and always has her hair in a low ponytail. She always does the cashier at the Newkirk location. Today was the final straw for me. Her attitude was worst than ever and all I did was place and order and as she recited it back to me her tone was disgusting and rude. If she doesn't like her job she should't work there because she makes the establishment look really bad. I see why my friends stop coming to this location.everytime I leave this place my day is just ruined from her negative energy. That's not how customers should feel after leaving a business. I'll never return to this location I'll just try another location but for now I won't be supporting this business because how I felt today wasn't acceptable to me. I'm not for anyone losing their job but she has to go because everyone complains about her. Which is making fisherman cove look bad as a whole.

Jerk chicken definitely wasn't jerked the way jerk chicken is supposed to be. And putting a water down jerk sauce doesn't make it jerked. Like most jamacian spots u ask for sumtn you get that look. So I was then given a water down hot sauce. This didn't help either. Anyway I wont be back again. You gotta do better with ur jerk chicken.

Yesterday afternoon 6/6/17 at the newkirk plaza location the lady at the counter/cashier had a bad and disruptive attitude, this isn't the first time. I'm finally tired of her attitude and having to deal with her non sense. She doesnt answer your question, and when she does it is with a highly offensive attitude. What was worse , was that she began to have a violent verbal argument with the nice driver. She began cursing him out dirty in front of the other customers. Business is not conducted this way, and she does not represent your business in a good light. That woman needs to be reprimanded or let go! I've been coming to fisherman cove for over 5 years loyally! Outside of that the food is always great. But the cashier left a bad taste in my mouth and spirit.

I ordered jerk chicken rice and peas with cabbage through uber eats food was bland. I received salad instead of cabbage. Chicken wasn't cooked properly rice was dry.

The female staff lack customer service I've been going to this restaurant since it was on the other side of Newkirk Plaza and I have been ordering the same thing for years stew chicken and rice and peas all I ask for is white meat (chicken breast) never had a problem in the many years I've been going to this establishment but these new female staff are horrible and lazy she refuses to sell me any white meat chicken and claims there isn't any I go everyday just to see if she will finally give me what I ordered but its been two weeks now and she still refuses to give me my correct order so I just stopped going there all together

Fisherman’s Cove has fallen off. I have been buying from this restaurant for years and Ive finally reached a place where I’m done with them. So I enter the restaurant trying get a side of a rice and peas for my child with no meat . I stand on the line and when I finally get to the woman at the register the woman tells me I can’t be sold rice and peas alone . She insists that I just buy an entire meal. I said “ no I don’t need the meat I just wanted a side of rice and peas. She tells me I don’t have enough rice and peas to sell on the side to you . I can’t sell it this way . Feeling confused and embarrassed I was furious !! I was clearly looking at the food in the display class and there’s a huge pan full of rice . Why is she saying I can’t get a side of rice ? I thought businesses wanted money ? I thought businesses go above and beyond to please their CUSTOMERS!!!! I said to the woman this makes no sense because if I want to buy a side of anything I shouldn’t be told I can’t because you want me to buy a meal . This is absolutely ridiculous. I was so mad at her and the service . The woman didn’t care or show any interest in my needs to want rice . She just called the next person . I have stuck with FC for years but after this rude encounter. I am done supporting them. The jerk chicken has been subpar , the food has fallen off with all the dry food being presented and being sold . The portions and the quality is inconsistent and lacks luster ! I’d recommend this store getting new management or changing it’s menu because it’s not good anymore

The food is great but the service truly bad and needs to change. The people who work there talk about the customer which I found to be extremely disrespectful. That'll be $15 cash, as the credit card machine "isn't working right now" There are many good Jamaican restaurants in Brooklyn. Fishermans Cove is not one of them. Will not be going back.

The only thing I didn’t toss out was the rice and peas. But other than that, don’t serve food that you wouldn’t eat. Have some decency and consideration for the customers you’re serving.
