Bagel Boss Cafe

WOW! I thought I’ve been to all the bagel boss cafe’s on the island but I guess I was wrong. This one is by far the BEST! The bagel was amazing perfect texture consistency soft like butter and had a nice crunch with the everything seasoning, loaded with cream cheese. I also ordered tuna on a croissant and it came with a Mac salad and pickle and it was also REALLY GOOD. Price wasn’t bad either! Only $15 bucks for a breakfast and lunch. I highly recommend this bagel boss cafe

The young man with the dreads was a pleasure at 5:30 in the morning. I like my plain bagels light and lightly toasted with butter and 1/4 lb of tuna salad. Absolute perfection. Thank you young man for being so calm and patient. ❤️

“ Bagel Boss”, in Oceanside, has delicious spreads, and a wonderful assortment of bagels. The manager, and his employees, are extremely accommodating, and helpful. Ashley, one of the employees there, provided some great suggestions for us, for our lunch, and accompanying meal, the next day. The classic, and veggie tuna, were excellent, as was the Nova lox. My husband and I highly recommend this place, for a tasty, and satisfying meal.

“ Bagel Boss”, in Oceanside, has delicious spreads, and a wonderful assortment of bagels. The manager, and his employees, are extremely accommodating, and helpful. Only in NY on Long Island can you go to a bagel store and get bagels this good. I must bring a bagfull home to Virginia every time I make a trip to Long Island. They had a great selection of flavors as well as of cream cheese. The coffee was great too.

Good bagels fresh 👍 young guys at counter very friendly. My only problem is they need to do a better job on checking dates on drinks in cooler I always find out dated milk and OJ

Been going to bagel boss for years. Bagels and ice coffee are great. Parking lot is a pain, to small. That's why I park in the street

Most of the time their bagels are fresh and always really good. Plus coffee is good too especially the prices.

Solid place to get a bagel but I’ll be honest the other locations have more options and variety. If your just looking for a regular bagel joint then this is a good place to go

Very good whitefish salad, but not nearly enough on the bagel for the price. Very good salmon salad. Coffee is WAY too weak.

Wait seems to be on the longer side but the bagels are pretty darn great. Muffins could use a little work though.

I came here on a lazy Friday hoping to replicate a flavor that I had grown accustomed to in Borough Park circa 2001. I was disappointed. I'll start with the negatives as this is what clouded my visit. I went with a breakfast combo, the hash browns were super oily and overloaded with paprika. They were pretty slimy and inedible. The eggs were equally as bland, despite the cheese. My husband had vegetable cream cheese on a bagel. Much to my sadness, the cream cheese was also without flavor. That being said, the bagels were awesome! I had a plain, he had an everything. The everything bagel was seasoned on both sides. The establishment was brightly lit and very clean. The staff were very courteous... although they did misinterpret my order. Prices are pretty standard as well. This is a great place to pick up bagels, however I'll get my fixings from elsewhere next time.

Sorry to report that the food is not as palate pleasing as it once was... The egg white salad was all chipped up to the point where I was uncertain that it was actually what I asked for. The young lady who waited on my was a sweetheart-- The more mature lady (like yours truly) was gruff with a tinge of "what are you doing in here?") I did pick up a bag of pita Pretzels that were BEYOND delicious... But I don't have to patronize BB to purchase that- Well... you can see where this is going.

They are extremely rude. I walked in the whole place is empty a few minutes after I walked in another gentleman walks in and only after 10 minutes from when I walked in they helped the man first and then asked if someone was helping me I’m like no I was here before that man and you helped him first. Horrible service

They don't serve meat. Didn't see kosher anywhere on the outside of the building. I asked for SPK probably 3x and didn't have it on the sandwich. Didn't taste good.

Haven't been back to LI in 2 years since I moved. Looked forward to having a traditional Bagel Boss experience I grew up with. Instead I got a bunch if rude teenagers and the food was not great. Kind if upsetting.

The bagels were not your typical bagels, which lacked consistency and flavor. They are also halal/kosher.

I would have to say it’s a general sentiment I have had for many years, I have been going to bagel bosses for over 30 years, and have been going over time. Their prices have far outstripped the quality of their food and the cleanliness and quality of the spaces as time has gone on. Overpriced and dirty they seem more focused on their NYSE value than their customers.

This was my first time at the bagel chain. The cranky guy at the counter must have chewed glass for breakfast. He was miserable. I won't go back to this location or any "Boss" locations.

Walked in this morning asked for 2 toasted bagels drove all the way how to realize neither my bagel or my boyfriend bagel were toasted. The fact that they work extremely slow on top of that they can’t get the orders right. Should of known when this other lady walked in twice after her breakfast sandwich was messed up. Should of walked out. SMH

Rude and obnoxious. The girl behind the counter was the rudest little girl and looked like she was all of 15 yrs old. I listened to her speak to customers and coworkers in a nasty manner, degrading them. The Owner/manager did not seem to care about the language she was using either. I wish I could give 0 stars. I had to leave and get my lunch somewhere else.

I've never seen a more rude staff. Would it kill someone to say "Hi" "good morning" or "thank you" especially when you spend money there 6 days a week for months. How about a smile instead of a sour look on your face. You ask someone to toast a bagle or make a cup of coffee and you would think you asked them to chop off a finger... Never again

The prices have increased for the bagels from $1.00 to $1.20. The bagel special had decreased from buy 12 and get 6 free to now buy 12 and get 4 free. This was disappointing.

First to arrive, you get yesterdays bagel! Not just one time...many times. 3 strikes and your out bagel boss. Do us a favor and throw away your stale bagels at the end of each day.

This place is terrible - The manager Mike Mascaro is extremely rude and hung up - His reply to my wrong order - was "simply take off the tomatoes" - BUT where are my onions ordered- and "my "lightly toasted flagel" was black burnt - Ugh AND not the first time they've messed up an order on us - but it WILL BE THE LAST - In this day and under circumstances I would think it SHOULD be important to get take out / delivery orders CORRECT - IS IT REALLY SO HARD ?? GET A GRIP MIKE - OR GET OUT -

Minute bagels, very small portion's

I've been coming here for around a decade, and this is my last time here at this Bagel Boss location. I was served by a worker who didn't want to work and did not know how to make a basic omelet and serve it properly. Instructions weren't followed. How shameful! You'll never, ever, see me again.

Just bought 2 bagels with cream cheese. I am not exaggerating when I say there is less then 1/2 teaspoon of cream cheese on 1 siae of each bagel...nothing on the other side. Thanks for ruining my breakfast!!

I ordered a dozen bagels and only received 11. I paid a total of $45 for a “dozen” bagels, 2 regular cream cheese and 2 lox cream cheese. The young man in the front was extremely rude when I asked him a question regarding the price difference between the two lox cream cheeses.

I unfortunately did not enjoy my food. I fail to see the hype with this cafe. My tuna was bland. The pickle had a strange "feet like" smell. And the cold slaw tasted terrible. Totally inedible. I was told by my colleague that her macaroni salad was terrible also. It’s totally criminal to charge such high prices and use such cheap ingredients. I’m sorry I will not be returning.
